I am glad you found a nice place to rent. It sounds great. It's understandable that you miss your old friends. However, you will have room for old and new friends in your heart so don't hold yourself back from new friendships.

I know three drunk second graders thank you very much ; ) Good luck on your lesson and take heart, I would kill for some retreat time to be board.

Hey there! Found your site through the Moulin Rouge ring. Stop by and say hey anytime. You're more than welcome. ~Hannah

I think that when you are having a very bad day like you described where everything just seems so big and overwhelming it is easy to just become weepy and easily upset. As you know, tomorrow you may feel a whole lot better about what looks insurmountable to you a few days before. With regard to you mom - of course it would be good if she didn't take a wack at you and I don't know what hitting is - might be a little tap on up. I would say that she is frustrated just like you are and that is how it is coming out. I know with my kids I start to get so annoyed when I feel like they aren't listening to me. Most parents want what's best for their kids after all but they get overwhelmed too. You might try asking your mom what you together so that next time things get tense you can help each other cool down. Hugs. :)

Great quizzes. I agree with you on the NyQuil - it works but it is some strong stuff. I will only take it for a couple days running.

By the way, wear whatever the hell you want to. And don't respond to people who bitch at you--just ignore them. It puts them in their place better than you would think.

good for you. labels are hard to shake off, kind of like leeches. i'm still growing out of that myself. for me, my life is still being influenced from every which direction, but m'eh. c'est la vie. marvy layout, by the way. love the little side bar with the fast facts.

ya'll are so sweet! I guess love will come to my door when i am meant to have it. That doesn't mean i won't be waiting at the door with my nose to the window.
from masquee :
Hey Claire! I just wanted to thank you for being so sweet on your diary! I regret that time we were pissed at one another...I'm sorry about that, man. And also, I agree with what Jesus Lover and Frogger said about going out with people. It's actually not that fun, because in the beginning it's all lolipops and hearts and flowers, but then when you break up with a guy, it sucks some major butt. So don't worry about it, I am SO SURE you will find somebody out ther who deserves you! Much love.
from mad-alice :
i think im gonna cry. Thanks you guys!

Hey Claire, Trust me, it's not all it's cracked up to be, and yeah getting asked out makes you feel special, but trust me, the result hurts twice as much as it makes you feel special (I promise it made sense in my head). I wish I had never been asked, those who haven't wish they had, and those who have wished they haven't. It changes everything. I dated my best friend a couple of years ago, and we barely talk now. Be careful what you wish for. Personally I think any guy is absolutely crazy not to have asked you out. You are beautiful on the inside and outside, and one day God will send that perfect guy to you, you just have to wait. And that, sweety, is the hardest part. I've given up on dating, or at least I've tried, and it's hard to wait for God, even though His timing is more than perfect. He is never late, and He is never early. If you try to push Him to come too early, you'll be miserable. I love you Claire, and if you ever need to talk I'm here. Jess

Claire, dear, don't get down on yourself about not ever being "asked out". I'm 18 and still waiting for that to happen. You are a wonderful girl and someday there will be an amazing guy that God has already picked out for you. Once you get older, you'll realize that it really isn't "all it's cracked up to be". I have learned more about life and love by watching my friends go through it than experiencing it myself and I love it. I have saved myself from so much hurt already that when I get married, my husband will have my WHOLE heart, not some poor broken pieces. God knows your heart, He'll satisfy it in His time. Trust that. -tammy
