OMG what happened.... are you ok??? call me tomorrow at work so I know you are ok love ME
from rorobromer :
Just thought your JEWISH friend should help you out..not Pre Cantor but rather Pre Cannon (not sure if I spelled it right) best I got for ya :-)
from ariawoman :
To get it to heal, buy some NuSkin (or borrow some from eddie, he probably has some). Or get that liquid bandage stuff. Either way, that should keep it closed to heal...
from ladust115 :
Yay, Madelin, you made it. Are you going to do a running diary from England? That would be awesome, although I can't imagine you having the time for that. Linda
from ladust115 :
Oh, Madelin, I wish you the most wonderful trip in the whole world. I hope you get to see everything you want and take LOTS of pictures!! Linda
from elcandance :
Regarding the "no surprises" on eharmony: Mad, when I first met you, the first thing I said to Krik later was, "Madelin is beautiful, isn't she?" I wish I could look so good in pics as YOU do. *G* Not that "I" want to date you or anything. I'm a "Scott" girl. *G* Peace. Mo
from ladust115 :
WooHoo, I knew your last boss didn't know a good thing when he saw it. So glad THIS one DOES!!
from gembrat :
lmao! Oh Mad, your taliban thing made me laugh ou loud! Enjoy that trip.
from mazzydp :
LOL, I thought I was the only one who was annoyed about this (Re: Fantasia) "Now we have to listen to her cry and sing "yeah yeah yeah" at the end of every friggin song."
from ladust115 :
YAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!! Madelin, things are gonna be great. The company you are going to work for will appreciate you in ways your old boss couldn't even understand!!! I'm so happy for you! Linda
from gembrat :
Isn't the stuff you collect amazing? I still have 3 shelves to go through & it's only been 3 years! Thanks for my greeting & Good luck with the new job! Yeah for London & Jeremy. Yummy with no calories.
from elcandance :
That IS Eddie Izzard on your template isn't it? I've been meaning to ask for awhile. The boy is SO SEXY! I love him!
from bluewillow29 :
Congrats on both leaving the old job and starting the new one :-) Yay for change!!! ~tonya
from ladust115 :
Please don't mangle yourself before June!! But then you can't hurt yourself till after I come back from NYC in July. Just don't hurt yourself at all. I don't think England would be fun on crutches! Linda
from gembrat :
*G* I knew at least 1 other lady here would be rooting for Rupert! He's just a big cuddly bear. And yes, I remember seeing Jeremy in 'Emma', along with the other connections. The other guy, Aaron ?, commented on it - how he felt a bit out, as he had no previous Austen connection. LOL The end of "Possession" always makes me cry.
from mazzydp :
Should I be hurt that you guys didn't call me to ask me if I wanted to join you for dinner???
from mazzydp :
Oh yeah and also, I TOTALLY understand you and the Pella thing. But you know that. I'm just bummed 'cause I lost Buffy and I'm losing Angel and am worried that some friends will disappear with the cancellation *snif*
from mazzydp :
If it makes you feel any better, I was feeling crampy and watching The Thorn Birds too (hee hee!) Hope your feet feel better soon and that I see your face. Was gonna call you to hang this weekend, but cramps were not my friend, so didn't do much of anything, but I needed the break.
from elcandance :
I guess I was out of the loop cause I didn't know your mom had been dealing with an illness. But YAY for great news and many more years of healthy happy times! Mo
from wonka1106 :
wonderful news about your mom!!! so glad to hear it.
from elcandance :
"Two audience members tried to outrun each other to run and get it for him." LOLOLOLOL!!!!! Bet that was interesting. *G* Mo
from ladust115 :
Mambo No. 5 came on the radio today and all I could think of was "a little bit of Madelin" all through the song! Yikes! Linda
from ariawoman :
The original pilot for Queer Eye was done in Boston, not NY ;-)
from bluewillow29 :
I have the Poops book too :-) It's just too cute! ~tonya
from ladust115 :
As a matter of fact I have READ Everybody Poops! Just thought I'd share that. Linda
from ladust115 :
Madelin, you ROCK. So glad to see someone else recognizing that fact!
from bluewillow29 :
Gay Men on WW? You're so wonderful! I so needed that laugh right now :-) ~tonya
from ariawoman :
I always thought it was "an old man, turned, and he ate" so there! lol
from ladust115 :
Madelin, I worked in an office where the bosses wife would come in and wreak total havoc and then leave - consequently leaving the staff to clean up her bazillion messes that she had made and walked away from. It took me 10 years to realize that live is WAAAAAAAYYYYYY too short to tolerate that kind of bullshit. I hope you find a new job soon and that it didn't take you that long to figure it out!
from ladust115 :
Knock 'em dead in the interview. I'm keeping everything crossed that's crossable (and it really is difficult to type this way)
from ladust115 :
My favorite line in the whole piece "These are penguins," said Mitchell. "They poop in their nest. Nobody's got a clean nest." Now, if I could just figure out a situation where I could USE that!
from wonka1106 :
oooh i didn't know you were interviewing, good luck!
from ladust115 :
I arrive on July the 22nd (a Thursday) and leave on the 28th (the next Wednesday). I want to see ALL of you sometime during that week!
from gembrat :
Mogo Mogo should have voted Jerri or Shi-an off, IMO. What does Shi really do? And who made them lag behind in that challenge anyhow - before Ethan caught them up? Ugh! Sure we still have Lex and Ethan, but Colby was rugged cowboy eyecandy.
from ladust115 :
AWWWWW! What a little cutie.
from gembrat :
Less than 2 hours until Colin Firth time! I saw "Girl With the Pearl earring" last night & it was very good. Even being dark, dreary, serious - he's sexy!
from jelligyrl :
I love the poem. How you been? Want to take a collection up of spit for your boss?? I've got plenty. :)
from mazzydp :
hey you changed your diary's look. Cool, but not seeing an image. Is it broke? Do you need help fixing it, working the codes? I can help. Also, can't link to your notes directly from your diary or guestbook (do you still have one???) Miss ya!
from cheflouise :
MADELIN! Listen - you HAVE to go to Covent garden. Mainly because Covent Garden rocks, but also because there's this museum there with all these little mechanisms that do weird things...I can't think of how else to describe it and I can't remember what the museum is called. But like, there's one with a guy sitting in a bathtub full of spaghetti and you pull the lever and he eats the spaghetti. Stuff like that! It's the most funnest museum and if you don't go I will hate you. Haha just kidding. But you do really need to go. I am so jealous. Oh also, London has a really cool Museum of the Moving Image and a very awesome Theatre Museum. You should check out one or both if you have time. Okay I'm done. SO jealous.
from pookapella :
I know that Canterberry is a bit of a trip, but it should actually be on the way too and from the channel or hoovercraft. It is absolutely beautful and full of history. There is also a late night candle light tour for Jack the Ripper. They take u to the site where the bodies where found and all the evidence was found. I am told it is VERY interesting and creepy( I opted to sleep instead). And of course Picadelly(sp?) circus... which is close to the Docs store(yay shoes). Abby road, Paddington Station, and The Sherlock Holmes setting site are all interesting as well, and easy to get too since they r all right off of the underground. Just remember to mind the gap.
from jknight :
3 shows... oooooooohhhhhhhhhh I knew there was a reason I love u. LOL
from jelligyrl :
At the Copa, Copacabana, the hottest spot north of Havana! I looove Barry. Think I'll listen to him on the way home. :)
from wonka1106 :
I agree. We'll always have St. Louis.
from ariawoman :
First show started at 7 honey.... lol
from gembrat :
But they voted Tina off. :( Jerri seems better & Jenna seems worse. And why is Shianne even there? Richard put your clothes back on...talk about a big ass rock (I'm joking!).
from mazzydp :
I like the Big Ass Rock! Actually my favorite line is "Like Carole King or was it Carly Simon used to sing? I always get those two confused" That cracked me up when I first heard it. It's so weird though cause just the other day I was thinking that I'd love to play Dave's wife someday too. Scary...doo doo doo doo... We do think a lot about things sometimes. Oh and you're welcome for the map. Isn't it cool? You're very well travelled! Gotta get more red in mine.
from gembrat :
I love that song from FM! I just can't sing it at work. LOL When I first saw that play, I pictured Sean in the lead male part. *G*
from mazzydp :
Maddie! Sucks that you're feelingn out of the loopy with people and/or feeling like certain friendships aren't as close as you thought. But remember you got some really good ones already who love ya, no matter what and we can have all our own silly jokes (steal any microwaves lately?). Tee hee! I enjoyed your quiz answers too. Oh and teach Eileen how to turn her notes feature on so I can send her a note!
from wonka1106 :
What happened to no more shows after ragtime?
from mazzydp :
oh and not sure when the new Degrassi eps are airing. I was checking out the schedule on the n.com and there wasn't any new ones listed for a couple of weeks yet. Grrr. I'm getting impatient! It feels like FOREVER!
from mazzydp :
For degrassi journals, go to this site: http://www.degrassi.tv/index.jsp You have to register. You get a locker LOL and then you will have acess to the journals of all the characters. You get put in a homeroom. I'm homeroom green-578. It's kinda funny.
from gembrat :
I hope you feel better soon! Thanks for the lovely note concerning my 'wonderchild'.
from rorobromer :
someone is definately not having a good day.... but rejoice in the fact that it's 12:30 and the day is more then half over and you are half way closer to being in bed!!!!!
from gembrat :
Every time you mention Rich Martino I think of an incredibly talented guy I went to school with named Rich Marino. He was from New York, sang great jazz & acted better. Plus, he had a beautiful sister who sang like Barbara - like BUTTER, really. THanks for bringing up a memory that always makes me smile.
from mazzydp :
Ok, so I'm thinking I may have to get the Degrassi Jr. High set so then we can trade? Also, gotta get some of the TV movies (like the reunion special--when Joey cheats on Caitlin). Hmm, think I may have to email you some links. Let's be Degrassi geeks together!
from ladust115 :
YAY for you. You are doing WONDERFULLY! Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see you in St. Louis!
from sandwallsjr :
i would just like to state for the record...I was the puff of air turning into a fart sound and not Flip. Give credit where credit is due considering the laughs we all got from the *pfpht!* sound.
from lilclownie :
http://www.fragglerocker.com/media/files.asp for fraggle rock icons. I didn't find any muppet show or sesame street icons, but I could make some for you.
from rockapenguin :
I can burn you the Ragtime CDs so you don't have to wait forever for it to be sent to you. Email me if your interested.
from elcandance :
"Wahoo! (lick, lick, lick)...nuthin'". And *CRASH!* "Land HO!"..."No Kidding." *G* Mo
from ariawoman :
You, don't say much? Yeah, OK. That quiz is wrong! lol Love youuuuuuuuuu.
from gembrat :
My children's high school put "Les Mis" on last year with a stellar cast (though none of mine were in it *G*). It's the only show AHS has done that sold out all 4 performances & made money. The set design even won an award at a state competition. Tough play to pull off at the high school level - especially when some kids have no clue what the French Revolution was...
from gembrat :
Gee, I'm Colombia. What a surprise - not! Thanks for the nice notes, Madelin. Last night went very well for both my boys. Let me know how you like the Curves, because I have the book - just haven't been good at holding to the patterns. Continue to keep at it!
from plaidskies :
You could make it like a beigey yellowy thing and sponge it like it looks like parchment paper--that always warms a room up...it's how my bedroom at my house in WI was painted (I did it with MagicPaint and can show you pics if you want). That might look really pretty in there.
from ariawoman :
Pink and gray go well together. Use almost any shade of gray with your carpet...
from ariawoman :
*clap clap* :-)
from gembrat :
I'm supposed to see "Love Actually" tomorrow night with a trip to TGIF's, as well. *G* I heard the Liam thread was strange. The way he put it on "Regis & Kelly" was not everything has a happy ending - this movie is real. Can't wait. I've loved Firth since an early Ryan O'Neal movie & Hugh since "Impromptu". Yums!
from mazzydp :
I tried to approach Geri a few times, but she always went off with someone else as soon as I got there and really seemed to have no interest in me the entire night. I finally just went up to her on the dance floor to say congrats and hug her. She seemed like she could care less.
So, it wasn't JUST me who felt that way? LOL at our entries about the wedding, a lot of similiar feelings about it. Your pictures are great!

Dang! You got in-love and I got knocked up. Well, I guess that sounds about right for my luck with men. O-well ;-) ~tonya
from gembrat :
Isn't it great to have friends you can have crazy conversations with & know you don't seriously mean it? LOL I thoroughly enjoyed your daydream phone exchange with Stef! Now go enjoy your Randall!
from mazzydp :
Hey Maddy! Sorry you were bumming but we all have days and moments like that. I have MANY of them when I feel like I will never meet anybody or that no one will want me. It totally sucks but helps to know that others feel that way too. BTW, missed you on Sunday night. I thought you were coming. Everything okay?
from dancer-1 :
So, What's the plan for Friday night? Do I need A costume? Is everyone or noone going to Jana's? Help!!!!! I need to be peer pressured!!!!!
from ariawoman :
Awww, i love you! Fuck men. They suck anyway :-) Sorry you are feeling blue. I completely understand everything in your entry (well except the having sex in your 30s with someone you were with at 16 cuz well, i'm not 30 yet and didn't sleep with anyone at 16 lol...anywhooo. I'm still sad that youre sad. :( Keep at the working out and the weight watchers, and feel good about yourself for yourself, not for anybody else, man or woman.
from gembrat :
Yeah for Rupert getting the last laugh last night. They thought they were so clever. Jon is a weasel! Rupert won me over a few eps. back. I like Andrew too, but sometimes he doesn't think first. LOL Osten is also annoying me. Maybe he needs some Pamprin. Feel better quick, Mad. I think I have the same thing...blah!
from wonka1106 :
I am all over that movie.
from gembrat :
I like your hot men list! Can I move Alan to the back after Hugh though? LOL I'd add Julian Sands too. Still think Colin would be a perfect Jamie Fraser.
from dancer-1 :
Hey , I also watched the bad movie with the chick from Hairspay. Gotta say it was the best worst movie that I have seen in a long time! Anyway, Crush???????? I think I know who it could be but who does the crush like? Someone in our show? I MUST know!!!!!
from wonka1106 :
drugs are bad. cookies are good.
from wonka1106 :
real bagels are so amazing.
from wonka1106 :
That's the coolest soap dispenser ever.
from gembrat :
Thanks for your note about the Faire. It was a great time & I want to go back soon. I respect anyone who can be that creative in their acting in such an open environment. In 3 years I've never seen anyone break character & boy, do people try to make them. The living gargoyles are especially tight. Have a wonderful show! 'J&H' is a show I'm not so familiar with. Didn't the "Baywatch/NightRider" guy do it on Broadway for a bit?
from plaidskies :
I am SO coming to your show. I can't wait!
from missdemi :
Hiiiiii there....just droppin by to say Hiiii...Pass by my diary sometime... xoxo..
from wonka1106 :
Yes, I do love Kevin Kline.
from ariawoman :
madelin i got booted somehow last night (9/17) and couldn't get back online, finally ended up on dialup but you were gone :( I tried sending email but that isn't workin' either...grrrr
from ladybugthe2 :
i loved your page but you must love diaries please check out my page and one more thing, can you please tell me how to put things on your page do you have to be something.
from elcandance :
Mad. VERY same stuff with my dad. He's had four surgeries total on his carotid arteries and a triple bypass (also brain aneurysm but not related). Also smoked, high fat diet, etc. He's doing great now at 66 years old! Good luck to you dad. Something for you to keep in mind. Sometimes these "heart" related problems cause a bit of depression afterward even if things go well. I guess it's a taste of mortality or something. Dad's finally gotten over his depression and is back to his old smiley self. Your dad will too.
from wonka1106 :
stacey's mom does, in fact, have it goin on.
from gembrat :
I couldn't believe Chad chose her either - or that she dumped Rob again a few weeks back. Sometimes men are stupid! And cramps suck, but dark chocolate makes me think less about it.
from plaidskies :
ROFLMAO, Mad!!! Soooo bad. Soooo true. Unfortunately. :)
from gembrat :
The book is "Kiss My Tiara" by Susan Jane Gilman. It's been my fave read this summer, which is why I gave it to Tonya when I met her. LOL Have you tried Diana Garbaldon or Jennifer Roberson for historical fiction? VC Andrews was one of my faves for spooky until a couple years back - when the ghostwriters started rehashing the same stuff in a different location. Hope the meds work quick for you!
from bluewillow29 :
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Also, Good call on Queer Eye! I watched it last night too and Loved it!! ~tonya
from bluewillow29 :
If you're going to cruise around Rodeo you also could go to Santa Monica & see the pier. It's not that far from Rodeo. The observatory at Griffith park is also great - especially to take pics of the Hollywood sign and to watch the sunset! Or if you're a big fan of Rebel Without a Cause :-) ~tonya
from gembrat :
Madelin: We came up 84 East today. It took us 2&1/2 hours to get from Danbury, CT to the MA line due to invisible construction going on. As to Freeport (I think I told Jenn this a while back), it is a very busy road on summer weekends especially. But, the outlets & LLBean can be cool & the McDonald's is in a house. Hope to meet you there. Pat
from mazzydp :
Hey Madelin, Sorry I haven't been vocal enough about what you're going through with your Mom, but I really have been thinking of her and you and hoping that everything will be allright. All my best! {{HUGS}} Maz
from rorobromer :
Just so you don't feel like you were left hanging!! First of all how hot was Oliver... damn I would have an affair with him anytime..... Ok so at the end of the movie we find Richard Gere (a hottie) and Diane Lane (damn she gets both of them) parked in front of the police station. We are lead to believe that they will be going into said police station to confess to the murder of Oliver (damn what a hottie) and that her little affair that she had basically ruined the lives of four people.. the kid, Oliver's (did I mention just how hot he was) Richard's and Diane's. SO the moral of our story is that if you have a hottie at home who loves you then there is no need to get another one DON'T BE GREEDY!!! Also sex in the bathroom of coffee houses while your friends are outside having coffee is very dangerous and HOT especially if it is with OLIVER :-)
from mazzydp :
Maddie, How come you didn't tell me that you were going to see Ball in the House!?! Was Jason (my boyfriend) there? I didn't see you mention his name. Lack of money sucks. Believe me, I know. Hope all works out! I'm getting scared 'cause you talk about a lot of people I don't know and it makes me feel so out of the loopy, but I'm trying to stay in it!
