Yes, that word is "WTF" (also I've not checked in here in like a half a decade* and ha, what do you know new posts from people who still post here) *also not really but it seems that long.
from lobo21 :
Wandered by and from the very first read, I'd like to wander back time and again if you don't mind. Your entry on staying in school or living in a place machinery is cheap and plentiful is spot on. I live in such a place and unfortunately many take it for granted. Hope you are having a great day.
from taken-by-you :
I just found your diary today, and am very much looking forward to your updates. Just thought I'd let you know.
from straysparrow :
I like the way you described the girls in the bar. It probably would have been easy to portray them as pathetic or sad, but neither one of those things came across. I can't help but wonder if they're as happy as you are that everyone's learning... maybe they're texting facts about the history of spain to their friends?
from pingguoshu :
Could you help me ? I do not know where to start a diary . Could you tell me ?
from trezzy :
myspace search sucks. my last name is lanz, add me :)
from quibblings :
I am a doormat.
from ann-frank :
good to see you, friend.
from ann-frank :
Absurd! If my 15 year-old selfs belief system was stll in place, the only things Id be concerned with are rock music and which cute boy wanted to make out with me. As we now know, my current adult-belief system has expanded to includes the pursuit of rock music, makin out AND beer. Yes, Matt, we DO change. p.s. I kid! because I love. And I both agree with and loved your post.
from gumphood :
hey matt. Thanks for adding me!
from quibblings :
Okay, so I can handle D.C., it's only four hours away from me. I can do that, I can definitely do that. (Breathes a sigh of relief.)
from quibblings :
So, does this mean that you'll be going far, far away soon and won't be able to tell me any stories?!?! I need my Matt stories!
from trezzy :
You are really wise and interesting, you know. Do you have msn?

Just a quick hello from a random kid--I was cycling through the Members Area and found you. I like your writing style and you seem to possess a kind of intelligence that's so very rare on this crazy little site lately. Rock on. :)
from ann-frank :
fantastic idea, and oh, happy birthday
from quibblings :
you're back!!!! yay, matty!
from no-thank-you :
I am about to take your survey. I think I will rock on it.
from ann-frank :
I just wanted to say, it's swell you've been updating a little more often. thanks.
from ann-frank :
funniest thing I have heard in a long, long time, friend.
from matya :
...well mouthed concoction of thoughts...
from redhott27 :
I'm jealous. I've been a little homesick lately, and spending some time in a house on Lake Michigan sounds like more than just what I need. Which city?
from thatmarygirl :
i feel so neglected and unloved.
from ann-frank :
I was supposed to go to Monday's game. But as usual, things got in the way. I hate things. Heard it was "rowdy", but I like your description better than "rowdy"
from trezzy :
you should seriously send me an email or something.
from trezzy :
if you have MSN, i am [email protected] :)
from sxpstl23 :

i fell off of my porch last week and got a Big Hurt and a nice metal plate Prize in my wrist from the nice surgeon - if you're still looking for a job, i'm looking to hire someone to take me to plays and concerts and such and clap for me. i can pay you in grilled cheese sandwiches and oatmeal and raisin cookies. the oatmeal and raisin can be negotiated.
from pageme :
Well put Matt. This is what I say, when things look down...everything that goes down must go up...and vica versa, of course. Such is the way life goes. @ least you've already got yourself a decent attitude to go with it. ;) xXx
from quibblings :
yes, you do have your health, and, as you well know, that sure is sumthin' i ain't got!
from ann-frank :
Its not self-pity -- just a whole lot of frustration you are better off expressing than pretending it doesnt exist. You are allowed, you know. Carry on!
from trezzy :
There must be some logical explanation as to how you stumbled upon my diary, and how you felt it to be somehow significant enough to list it in your favourites. On the whole, I like Matts. :)
from trezzy :
And which matt might this be?
from quibblings :
come see me! how long are you in town [aka, the states]? [ps. did i mention for you to come see me?] yay, matt! i miss my matt. more often than i do not miss my matt. he is my matt.
from ann-frank :
the breaststroke lady, while tall, is probably late thirties w/ dark hair. I guess you aren't going to laugh now. Damn. However, I forgot you are a real swimmer and everything, so actually, if you saw me trying the breaststroke, you'd be laughing in no time.
from thatmarygirl :
snails. crazy, i just did a Google search and accidentally clicked on Images - i was searching for "scary" (don't ask) and up comes this image of... no, not richard simmons... but a super scary um, snail. yeah. then, i read your entry. snails. hmm.
from nonameplumb :
"Better living through chemistry" one of my fave teachers used to say that, and ain't it the truth? toodles God bless
from ann-frank :

from redhott27 :

from surf42069 :
hey sorry for the mix up... its not you that I was talking about but it was nice of you to care!
from cabrioler :
garlic and peppers sounds really good, but then I do love garlic and chillies/peppers, I'm just wondering is korean food highly spiced? if so what spices, I don't think there are an abundance of korean recipes available.
from squishy-lynn :
I was just browsing through some diaries and I stopped at yours. The part where you say: Not like you'd notice me across a crowded room, but I may be the best guy you know.. or something. Anyway, I love it.
from planet-maxx :
Hey geezer. Just Passin through on a random wander through diaries. Looks like there may be some interesting stuff here, so I'll come back and read more later. Feel free to pass by my diary. (Not that it's that interesting). Ciao Dude....
from cabrioler :
Ox - tail is quite fatty, but cooked properly the meaty bits are delicious. It could have been worse you may have been eating the balls or dog. Have fun with your exotic menu choices, my chicken curry sounds quite dull in comparison.
from thatmarygirl :
i *heart* you.
from cabrioler :
Hello again, I am sure the strange feelings will pass, I have lived in so many places and none of them felt right to start with, but once I got to know people's habits and customs and let my guard down things seemed to slot into place. If you ever decide to visit the Uk, call Tim and I and we will cook you a good nglish meal, or maybe a curry. Hope everything falls into place for you soon.
from cabrioler :
Hi, not sure how I stumbled acros your diary, I just wanted to say that I was in Barcelona around christmas, and it is a beautiful city, if you wander down near the back of the zoo, heading towards the train station there are some fabulous tapas bars, the cemetary has some dodgy bits although its quite amazing to see some of the huge tombd/mausuleums( I can't spell) Oh and the whole port Olympic area is a real torist trap, our hotel ws there, fab hotel , I'd reccomend it to anyone, so hotel arts..If you are stil in Barcelona then make sure you check out the market.
from rocksinger66 :
hey i read your entries. i dont really talk to many people on here but i have my poems in my entries so if you want you can go read them and write me a note or something telling me what you think of them. 3 are already published
from flonesha :
Matt- I am stranger who occasionally reads your journal on those not-so-rare instances of boredom and I was wondering how you know if someone visited and read your old entries? Do you have a way of tracking it? Cause if you do, I sure as heck want to know how to do that!
from katy-bug :
Thought I'd send a little note to say, your writing is intriguing. Take care.
from mccullen :
that's a touching vignette. even if the only kinds of dips i'm familiar with involve beans, cheese, and eventually gas.
from redhott27 :
did you do that on purpose, mention the words "flat" and "fitted" right before you told us that what you were getting at was sheets? If you didn't, it was pretty good anyway. :)
from mspsyched1 :
Just wanted to stop by and tell you that I enjoy reading your writing. You're pretty funny. Keep it up!
from kimmikers :
I like you-nice layout, great writing. Can't wait to read more.
from redhott27 :
Long time no correspondence... funny you should mention golf stories... did I ever tell you about the time my mom and I decided to try out my brother's golf clubs and practice net in our yard? Yeah, it was pretty much the special olympics... Hope all is well, please be in touch soon! c
from ann-frank :
Oh dear matt. You are totally 100% correct being single does not mean being lonely. As the perpetually single gal in the family and amongst my pals., I know. And I live by myself and it will forever have to be that way because I just could never have the hassle of a roommate evah again. At any rate, I dont have any answers to happiness and communal living or how to stave off feelings of loneliness, I only know that it really pisses me off when people assume all things must come in pairs, or theyre just not complete. Thats such a crock. <ahref= http://ann-frank.diaryland.com/sole.html > my thoughts oh and on a happier note, your community theatre post totally reminds me of the This American Life episode called FIASCO. Its about a total break down of one communities version of Peter Pan and it is so hysterical, if you listen to it you will thank me later. http://thislife.org you can find it there. Now, I leave you alone for awhile. thanks
from bigglasses :
i like your diary and i wish the text wasnt so small, that or that i wasnt so damned... uhh whatever you call it when your eyes hurt. anyway have a nice day. as far as i have experienced people named matt are really good artists. -annie
from castigada :
Gracias, Matt, for answering my questions with such grace and candor, although I must say I did not understand the cryptic comment you made at the end of the survey. Are you quoting the lyrics from a song I do not know of because I am old --- old enough to remember watching Match Game PM? Ah well. Hope you enjoyed your chicken parmigiana.
from ann-frank :
hi matt ... i thought i'd check in and say hello and after reading your "random thoughts" i paged down quickly to expecting to find author credits for some of the clever things - not that ummm, i didn't think they you know, COULDN'T come from you. but i enjoyed them. oh, and i love the shout out to your mother at the end of one of your previous entries. i would never let my mother (though I love her) anywhere near my diary ... take care, you a-f
from yoshi-c :

from ann-frank :

from ann-frank :
oh, poor, lonely matt. I know what it's like to move to a city where you don't really know anyone... and I can't say I've got great advice for you because a. you're not a kid and b. the apartment idea sound fab! Seriously, will you come over and do something with my space? I've been here since June and it still looks like a college dorm room! p.s. Ann Arbor is a lovely little city ...
