Hey -- I loved Kafka on the Beach. I just read a book of short stories all sort of about the Kobe earthquake, which I also loved. But also, I love RI, too, but am forced to live in CA to be far from relatives. Every summer, though, we go back to see my mother, who lives near New Bedford, and my best friend, who's in Saunderstown (just north of Narragansett.) We go to the Narragansett Beach, which is surely the best beach in the world, drink tons of iced coffee (or coffee milk, which you really can't get anywhere else), have some Dels lemonade, and go to Aunt Carrie's, in Pt. Judith. I'm going to retire in RI, because by then surely my mother will no longer be capable of driving me crazy, right?
