Yes, he wore a wedding band for a long time just to try to dissuade the chicas from flirting with him or having his buddies try to hook him up with someone (plus I think he just likes wearing it.) He left his old one in one of our hotel showers, so I got his this new one for Christmas...

Yeah, I've got about a year until his ship goes into dry dock - they're quickly running up on the heels of their 20 year life of the nuclear reactor (they actually passed it this past winter or something.) We're hoping to get married some time in 2005 - he'll be out of the navy by then and I'll be close to finishing college, we've just got to hope that our parents don't have a cow when we announce how young we're going to be when we do get married!

Thanks for the feedback! :) My man is on the Carl Vinson, (an aircraft carrier) and that's out of Washington state - he's deployed right now. I'm in North Carolina, so needless to say I have no navy friends! Hehe, I'm adding you to my buddy list, I like your diary and everything :)
