Yay, Disney! I will be there Oct 8-15th - we're just missing each other. I'm totally excited, too.
from biodtl :
Wow - I'm glad he's OK now. I have been thorugh things like that with my kids and it is defintely the scariest.

awww, what a lovely picture.

Awesome - congrats!

thx for your note--I'd thought about asking at daycare, too, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Just read through some of your entries--you remind me a lot of myself! Especially the cleaning thing (my house is NASTY) and the HTML thing (I'm trying to teach myself just enough to jazz up my diary a tiny bit). Anyway, I'll have to keep up with your blog. This is why I never get anything done at work anymore. :-P

I hope the job thing works out. I have been in that situation where you are just sick at your job and desperate to change. I've never dealt with going back full time, since I have always worked full-time and had kids, but I imagine it's hard. your kids will be fine, though. And it's better for them to have a happy mommy who has a little less time than a miserable one who is there 20 more hours a week.

I love the grumpy bunny. It reminded me of my grumpy angel/devil photo.

pah, forget housework. That only happens at nighty night time in my house. If I do it at nap time, it would be back as it was within an hour. (i'd be lucky if it lasted that long.) Glad Nathan is doing so well and thanks for adding me to your favourites. Becca

My son was always in the 95th-100th percentile (he was 8 pounds at birth - not too big, right? Except he was 3 weeks early). Anyway, by the time he was one, he started to drop, then by 2, he was in the 50th and now, at almost 9, he's a small guy. So you never can tell from when they are really little.

i always made my husband come with me to the immunization appointments because i didn't want to be the one to have to basically hold them down while they were jabbed. plus, i'm a big wimp about needles. i love nathan's typing! future blogger perhaps?
from biodtl :
maxsmom is right. 2 and 3 are hard ages and girls are definitely more dramatic. Mine isn't quite 2, and we already deal with all the high drama every day.

it's definitely a 3-year-old thing, and, from my experience, also a girl thing. my daughter is funny, sweet, and cute 95% of the time. but that other 5% is extremely hard to take. she's 5 now, and because we have stuck with it and not given in to her fits, she is MUCH better. she still doesn't like it when the world doesn't work they way she's told it to, but she's much more likely to pull herself out of it without having to be sent to her room. hang in there! you're doing a great job!
from biodtl :
You're not alone - it took me ten-thousand tries to get mine to look the way I wanted and there are still bugs. As for the teething thing, my son always got fever/cold like syptoms when he was getting teeth. My daughter didn't, though. I think it's just one of those things that sometimes happens, but doctors don't want to admit it, because they don't want people to assume it's teething and overlook something serious.
from maxsmom :
i know what you mean about the template thing. i'm lucky i can 'add an entry' without causing a major computer meltdown, much less come up with a fancy dancy template. my son always had horrible diarrhea when he was teething. every time his pediatrician (a man, of course) would say one had nothing to do with the other, but it happened every time he got a new tooth! you're not boring, and if you're an idiot, so am i (i'm not ruling that out, by the way!)
from biodtl :
Ha! I just had to leave a note, since as I was reading your entry, Go Diego Go was in the background.

I found you through my stats - I agree that 3 is a harder age than 2. Terrible twos are for real, but little do you know at the time that they are just a warmup for what is to come. And, like you, I love pregnancy. Many women don't, but even through all the sickness and misery, I still love it.

update April 6, 2020: Sorry, we just had 8+ hours downtime due to a server problem. Restoring from backups took soooo long, but everything is back and no data was lost. Ay yay yay! Anyhow, hope everyone is well with the virus stuff.
