I had to thank you again for thinking of me and wishing me happy times in my tomorrows. You are on my thoughts as weell. I look forward to an update. :) Sandyz
from fightn4life :
Thank you so much for being you-helping me through some difficult times with your kind words. Little things mean so much. Sandyz
from fightn4life :
I know you don't update often but when you do please do not think I have blocked you by locking up my Diary. So much sadness is in my life right now and I needed my own safe harbor. If you desire to journey with me I will be glad to give you my password and username. I am keeping track of my network of readers as not to hurt any one in our extended family. My girls haven't been told yet as well. I didn't want anyone from this part of the world to know my thoughts, so I have locked up and place the key in a safe place. When you stumble on my world leave a note and I'll send you the secret passage. Thinking of your little place in the world on this summer night. Sandyz
from fightn4life :
I couldn't believe it when I checked in today and saw your post. Wow, so glad to hear from you and know you are doing well. Do keep the key board busted for awhile and check in more often. I have missed you. Sandyz
from ramble-on :
I still read this....good to see you back =0)
from fightn4life :
A very Merry Christmas to you and yours as well. I thank you for staying in touch and stopping by my world. I pray all will work out between hubby and I, what a difficult path we have walked. Just maybe we are closer now in spite of it. One can only pray. Sandyz
from fightn4life :
{{{Blush}}} for me? Thanks you are awesome. I do hope you keep in touch I always look forward to reading about your world. Sandyz
from fightn4life :
It was wonderful to hear from your from your little marine. I too am letting go of some not so great events that slipped into our summer months, counting my blessing for the wonderful times. Your boating sounded like fun, glad you still have your glasses. Don't be such a stranger, I know you're busy. Love hearing from you, you are often in my thoughts. Sandyz
from fightn4life :
Thank you so much for your kind comments, I often think of the little marina and hope all is well with you. Thank you so much for stopping by my world. Sandyz
from fightn4life :
Thank you so much for your kind comments, you are so right so much has happened in such a short time. I am not going to be hasty with any decisions; so far we have made it through so much...so much. Time, I am still giving this time. Hubby asked me if I would go with him to his first AA meeting, I was in tears. Yes..I will be there each step of the way if he is willing to try. God Bless you, Sandyz
from fightn4life :
I'll be thinking of you in prayer. I am so glad you wrote an update, even if the need to slam the brakes came over you. I think of you and your little place at the marina when I look through my "favorites." :) Sandyz
from malthus :
Well, I'm still here, mate. Times are hard and...well...there is no time...but we're hangin' in, ain't we? Ain't WE!?
from fightn4life :
So good to hear from you again, as always when I see you have updated I sail right over to see how you are doing. Wow, it is base ball time again, I hope you have a great spring. I was glad to see everthing on the mountain change to an awesome green, I just can not stop looking at it. Sandyz
from malthus :
Aye lad...thar's nuttin' like a fine pint-O-Guinness to give celebration with...or to do anything with, for that matter!
from fightn4life :
Thank you for so many nice comments through out my diary during some very off times for me. I am glad to see you posting again, I always wonder about the little marina. I do love green but I am not a touch of Irish, still I wear an awesome green shirt and I collect four leaf clovers. Sandyz
from cdghost :
where i come from the moon is green
from malthus :
I see the spirit of the ol' salty dog returning. Sorry to hear that you and your family haven't been well, but happy to know that life is stabilizing. Fair winds and following seas, friend.
from cdghost :
thank you for your words
from malthus :
Mr. E...you're one swell of a hell fella. And funny too!
from malthus :
HOO-RAH! A post! Sorry to hear that you're down, but thankful to know that you're not out. You've got strong sails on your vessel Mr. E! And that sense of humor - thank goodness for that. Sheesh...if you read my blog, it looks like I'm contemplating suicide, for goodness sakes (P.S. - not a chance of that). Glad to know that you're still swabbing that deck, Pal. Sail on over to my marina sometime and we'll swill ale, sing sea shanties, and swap sea stories shipmate.
from fightn4life :
Good to know you are hanging in there, sorry work standards these days seem to be less than what I felt they once were. Glad to know you will handle this. Sandyz
from malthus :
Give 'em hell, Mr. E!
from malthus :
Damn...we can hope for the occassional though. I hope you're well...I'll write soon.
from fightn4life :
Please try to at least let us know you are doing ok, some times it is day's/weeks before I can update. My thoughs are with you. I will miss your entries. :( Sandyz
from fightn4life :
I now have this intense craving for an orange, humwonder why. Hope your New Year is headed in a positive direction. Sandyz
from fightn4life :
Have a wonderful Christmas Eve. Thank you for so many wonderful comments over the year, you are an awesome friend. I am blessed to have had the time to know you and be part of your little place in the world. Sandyz
from malthus :
What a hag.
from fightn4life :
I too often regret my concert days and loving the LOUD music. My hearing had been damaged some but now I have lost a significant amount of hearing in my left ear from the accident. WHAT DID YOU SAY??? ;) Sandyz
from malthus :
Ha HA *swings in on a freshly cut rope*. Ah, Mr.E (mystery - get it?) you slay me pal. Yeah, my mom...every 5 minutes on cue, "Huh?" except it sounds more like, "Haa?" She might be sitting in a room alone, in silence, and still, "Haa?" Ah funny...*Swings out, stage left*
from malthus :
Ha HA!!! (Three exclamation points for you!) Well, I was absent, because I was off sailing the seven seas. What about you? How's the Marina coming? I need a place to pull my dighy into...
from malthus :
Maybe he was a cast-away on an island somewhere! Or it could be that my son and I just finished Robinson Crusoe...and now we're reading Swiss Family Robinson. (Note: The name Robinson in the two titles. Is your neighbor a Robinson too?)
from fightn4life :
Neighbors, yes some stories they can churn. I wrote an entry about Nuisance Neighbors in my diary about a real life situation that helped with our decision to sell our little farm in Pa and move to no where land. If your BSing neighbor told truth wouldn't it make a great story line? Maybe he was on the Atkins diet. I woke up this morning to blowing snow with about 3 inch accumulation on this mountain and visibility about 50 feet. Natures way of telling me to turn off the alarm and go back to sleep, I'll help out with over time another day. Time more time. :) Sandyz
from fightn4life :
Thank you so much for your sweet note. Every day I feel better minus this blasted headache which they say is normal. I feel very blessed so I will not complain. Yesterday at work was better than my first day back but I am so glad I have three off days. I contemplated working an extra day but decided it might not be wise. I need time, time is good. Sandyz
from malthus :
Hey, that's what friends are for. Stevie and Elton say, "Hi."
from malthus :
I know what he's feeling and your assesment is right on. Nice to see you're doing well though!
from fightn4life :
You said it right on the dime, when feeling another's sorrow we feel ours at times is trivial. You have a great heart it shines through every page of your Diary. Sandyz
from malthus :
Thankfully his family got out safe - he nearly lost a child, as well as his own life. Thanks for the kind words as always...you're a quality person Mr. E...
from malthus :
I just went back and re-read all of your entries. Screw it (nautical joke), I'm MAKING a Mr. Eieio T-shirt!
from fightn4life :
Loved your thought provoking entry, "Rock wood" awesome photo it is mesmerizing really. I hope you find yourself out o the fog and having a wonderful Thanksgiving. Sandyz
from malthus :
I seriously sympathize...there's little that's worse than not sleeping well...it affects everything. Here's wishing you deep sleep and good dreams - click.
from fightn4life :
Wishing you another peaceful nights sleep. :) Sandyz
from fightn4life :
Thanks for the stamp of approval I do not feel like such a dunce. :) I could not make up my mind and thoughthum why not use two. I gave credit to both templates. My sister has a quest entry in my diary today, I feel special. She lives in Indy, me in the Ozarks.
from malthus :
I'll always set a little kindness aside for you. Eh...I'm doing ok...a little tired (lots of late nights and long work hours). I return home tomorrow, so I'll be back on schedule soon and will (hopefully) start writing ASAP. Hey, did you know that Old MacDonald's farm is just outside Rapid City, South Dakota? Funny...
from malthus :
You've got a good heart, Mr. E, a really good heart.
from fightn4life :
Don't beat yourself up, we are human remember. Sometimes we react on impulse. That is how we learn and grow, both in human form and spiritually. You have a kind heart you are the one that feels the "what if." Remember the good visit and let the little incident at the airport go. This situation you have learned from and that my friend cannot be a bad thing. Sandyz
from malthus :
Wow...it's a little less marina-ee than I expected. No wonder you've been stressed out...
from malthus :
CAN I GET A WITNESS!?
from malthus :
Ready to kick? Why...are you going to kick me? (heh heh)
from malthus :
I got BOTH oars in the water for ya, mate! I'm pulling with all my might...
from fightn4life :
Thank you for the encouraging message. I am still going to take little breaks here and there; I have to keep up with some awesome diaries. ;) I love seeing how the marina is doing. This is going to be a busy an exciting month, I need to stop and share this adventure from time to time. If you see me falling too far behind on my novel, pushpush! Sandyz
from malthus :
Thank you master Yoda...I WILL complete my training!
from malthus :
CONDITION BLUE! You said it, brother!
from malthus :
You win!
from malthus :
I met a phor legged herring once...wait...that doesn't work.
from fightn4life :
Thant is about the most awesome photo I have ever seen. OMGwhat a view. You must feel at times like you are in heaven. Sandyz
from malthus :
METAPHOR!? I'm shocked. I had no idea. You mean - your real name ISN'T Mr. Eieio? And to think, all this time...ok, enough sarcasm. (It's a skill - I have to use it)
from malthus :
SEMPER GUMBI! Boy, I sure would like to see that fresh coat of paint on the marina house when you're through...might be nice to see all the work you've done when the dust settles. Ah, but one may dream...
from malthus :
Maybe you should eat it - I hear they're good eatin'. Or...or...you could throw a table cloth over it, put some coffee table books on it and use it as a "conversation piece". Just some thoughts...
from malthus :
I'm grinnin' from ear-to-ear me harty! That was fantastic!
from malthus :
Me thinks a sea-shanty is in order here! Yo-ho, blow the man down! Swab that deck, Me E...or ye'll be walkin' da plank!
from malthus :
Mr. E, Wow...that was a long note! I always like to hear from you though. Say, if you ever want to write me something longer than a note - feel free to send something to [email protected] Out of curiosity - did you read my entry on "My first memory"? I'm curious to hear what you have to say about it, because it seem to illicit some serious reactions from other folks. Thanks for dropping by, as always...
from malthus :
YEE HAW! Happy number 59!!! I knew you could do it! (Great entry)
from fightn4life :
Loved the photo. Did I for a moment I think it was you? Hum...never will I tell. I am glad you stayed in scouts to understand about the diamante thing. :) Sandyz
from fightn4life :
There will never be regrets for the time spent with those you love, whining a little but never regret. :) Sandyz
from malthus :
Mr. E, Thanks for dropping by and leaving a note. I've often thought of writing down the stories of my life, but the thing is...I'm not really a writer. Sure, I enjoy writing and telling stories, but I'm not a craftsman...like you. Plus, finding the time to get it all down is...well...difficult, right now anyway. Hey, would you like to write my memoirs!? (Yeah, like you have the time.) Thanks again...
from malthus :
It's perfect just the way it is!
from malthus :
Thanks for the note. I can't understand why, but I'm running as if on high octain...I have loads of energy. I think this trip was just what I needed to get myself back into perspective. I'm thankful for the chance to do this too - I was feeling pretty frustrated just sitting there. Hope all is well with you...
from fightn4life :
I read your entry again today and felt lost in it. I understand where your mind was/is. There is so much meaning behind your thoughts. Mr. E. is doing fine, I suppose. I have faith; all things will work out in time. We took a step back but forward is the direction we are again heading in. It is hard to feel much sadness knowing so many down South are in much more turmoil than us, with their lives torn apart. We are blessed I must always remember this. Thanks for your kind words. I hope all is well in your world. Sandyz
from malthus :
Amen.
from fightn4life :
What an inspiring photo. Thank you for sharing it, also I loved your thought provoking entry. Sandyz
from fightn4life :
You have an awesome friend. I laughed getting the visual. Guess it was time to get out and smell the wonderful aroma of waters in motion. Oh, how I love nature. You are right the bread can wait. Life is way too short, enjoy. Sandyz
from malthus :
Amen. I need to find a way to make bigger chips...
from malthus :
It's as much a mystery to me as it is you, and for the life of me...I can't figure it out. What's more perplexing is that I can't figure out what to do about it. I know that the majority of Americans are sheep and I think that has something to do with it...
from ramble-on :
There is indeed an imbalance right now. Many Americans are also aware of this imbalance, they simply can't figure out exactly WHAT it is. Those with the voices are all too willing to point fingers, people are all too willing to follow those voices, and not try to actually FIX anything. That leaves people like me sitting in the background, confused, sad, and often times angry. More often than not, I feel like I have just been bowled over and am now more helpless than ever. I moved from a small town community to a HUGE community. We are talking from an entire state with 500,000 people to squashed in between two cities with well over 2 million people each. Sadly, I am now even more lost. Each day I struggle with the hurried attitudes, the carelessness, selfishness, and the blatant disreguard for other people. The funny thing is, I have lived in a couple of bigger cities before, but none quite like here. I find it hard to even WANT to leave my house anymore. I fear things that I have NEVER feared before and the longer I stay here, the worse this feeling seems to become. Back where I came from, everything was blamed on the Liberals. That's not a life I wish to lead either. So where is the balance? And who exactly do I turn to?
from fightn4life :
Thank you so much for the info for the books. I am going to Amizon.com today and order them. I never tire of getting help to better myself. Do not ever feel like I would be upset over advice, any thing that helps me grow I am so open to. I never tire of learning. Thanks again. Sandyz
from malthus :
Now that, my friend, is what life is all about.
from fightn4life :
Hi, I loved this entry, much to ponder. I found the search inward has been one of my most valuable resources. I too am learning when the mood does not strike me I let go of the feeling I HAVE TO DO IT NOWand wait until it seems right for me. I haven't perfected this concept but everyday I get better at it. Love that statue. Sandyz
from malthus :
I don't know if you know how nice it is to have someone stop in every so often and offer a kind word, but it is nice. Thank you. It's funny that someone I've never met (in person) can offer me something worthwhile, which helps me trudge along, while those around me do nothing but take. Thank you again, really.
from fightn4life :
Thank you for your kind words. I reached a minor bump in the road and hung on. I am feeling much better now. Thanks again. Sandyz
from malthus :
Gosh...sure wish I could read THAT geometry book sometime...
from fightn4life :
Thanks for the comment about my new diary layout. I loved this entry as I coud feel your passion for writing. Just because you can. :) Sandyz
from malthus :
You know...you're showing your age? Better tuck it in before someone steps on it. Then again, I remember when the military got desktop systems for the first time. Thanks for the note...
from malthus :
Mr. E, (say that fast) Thanks for writing - I'm alive, but life is in disarray right now. Lots of work on the house, changes in jobs, visit from my daughter and trying to pick up the slack where my pregnant wife has sort of left off have kept me on my toes and away from the keyboard. I felt sad after reading about your freind - I've never lost anyone (yet), so I can't imagine how it feels, but I hope you reached resolution; your words read like you have. I'll write soon...just need to catch my breath. Thanks again...
from fightn4life :
My heart is with you as you say farwell to a dear friend of yours. Loss is difficult knowing the world is a better place with them amoung us. I have found the wonderful memories of those gone before us continue to linger. This for me is like a soothing touch to the heart. May God be with you. Sandyz
from fightn4life :
I was wondering if the importance wasn't about losing his head but continuing to see life as if nothing happened. The angels appear to be watchful the mortal notices not. Still ponderingSandyz
from malthus :
Once again, you have said it all too well. I'm with you, man - life is heaving some big Ol' shovels of crap at me right NOW! I'm shoveling them RIGHT BACK!
from candoor :
yes, so true... and may peace and happiness live within you :)
from malthus :
Is he/she going to cok prison style food? Nice to read your words again.
from malthus :
Thanks mister! I hope this one grows up to be a marina operator.
from fightn4life :
Loved your entry, I felt I was right there with you. Well not "with" you just another traveler seeing the sights with you. Not "with" you. Sigh... You know...Thanks for sharing your world. Sandyz
from malthus :
THANK THE GODS - You're back!!! It's nice to hear that you were traveling and that all went well. You went to Ireland!? THE Homeland! One place I haven't been...yet. The day WILL come. I'm happy to read your words again...
from fightn4life :
We just returned from a fishing trip in Mississippi. Next month I will be flying to Georgia, a week long business trip this time. Stay safe and have a wonderful time. Sandyz
from fightn4life :
I read your Diary. I'll miss your musings. I have just returned from a 3 thousand mile journey, been gone almost half a month. I had a wonderful time. Now it is back to work. :( I hope you have a great time and much to tell when you return. Sandyz
from malthus :
Happy to see your words, sad that you'll be gone, looking forward to your return...
from malthus :
Thanks man...I needed that.
from malthus :
You are a lucky guy. I hope to have my own marina one day too...I'm working on it.
from malthus :
Much abliged.
from fightn4life :
The pub for a beer then coffee...I except that as a wonderful thank you. You never know what might dock up one day. :) Sandyz
from malthus :
I had a feeling. Don't worry - I'm not one to pry (much). It's my thing too, or has been for the last three years or so. Actually, it's more me wanting it to be my thing, but it's not really. I try though. Mostly, it's short stuff and mostly of the "fantasy" genre. I'm working on a horror/drama/thriller screenplay...it's a pipe dream, but we must have dreams. This note is too long. Cheers Mr. Eieio - I'm thankful for your diary. Maybe someday, if I am fortunate, I will see you in the pages of some book. One can hope...
from fightn4life :
Loved the photo, sorry about your backs. Looks like some of Diary Land is getting a bit dried out. What now the rainbow? Sandyz
from malthus :
Hey...what's the "real writing" that you referred to in your last entry?
from malthus :
Thanks, Mr. E - I just wanted to make sure folks were bothering to check, because I post 2-3 times a day sometimes and I don't want anyone to miss out on all the wholesome goodness! My words are like Wonder Bread, don'cha know! (Yikes)
from malthus :
I have a question, just to clarify something for myself. When you check my sight, do you see that there may be more than one post each day? I had three today. I just wonder what folks are seeing...
from malthus :
You and I see eye-to-eye on this issue, I think.
from malthus :
Gosh...I'm humbled. Thanks for posting and for the compliment. I admire your efforts to be in 6th grade...I'm looking forward to it myself.
from malthus :
Fingers crossed, Aye. And toes...
from dcalien :
One thing about your last entry is buggin me. Well actually not your last entry. The one before. Where can one purchase a brain that can be grown in a jar? Red sky at night.
from candoor :
I can relate... one step at a time, day by day, just doing what needs to be done... stay positive :)
from malthus :
Thanks for the note and the kind words.
from malthus :
Cryptic, but good.
from fightn4life :
I loved your entry that started with" Fear is certainly a factor, here at the fear factory." Your way with words is captivating. I am so looking forward to more of your entries. Sandyz
from dcalienz :
Ha I found you from a banner ad, and I love your way with words. Like the sense of humor, and tho occasionally I write about doom and gloom, it is my exception rather than my rule. Look forward to reading more of you, and sorry about the comments about me here haha I am drugged from surgery this day. Dave
