We didn't get to watch Bones on Monday because Shelby had a choir concert, so we DVR'd it. Last night when we began watching it, for the first few minutes when I thought Booth was dead, I kept thinkging "Crap! This has been my favorite show. I watched it because of the Booth/Bones relationship. What a surprise turn! I was convinced that the therapist was the killer, but Shelby guessed that it was Zach early on, so she was the winner. I'm sad to see Zach go, he was one of my favorite character. The show left me feeling a bit unsettled, not happy at all that the serial killer was caught because of Zach's part and the fact that the killer was just a nobody. I don't really like the therapist's character. I hope they're not planning of having him be the new Zach. We'll watch at least the first few shows next year and see if it's as fun as these past 3 seasons have been.

It's Becka, I couldnt leave a message in your journal for some reason. First of all thank you for the kind thoughts and prayers for my boy. I just wanted to clear up something about this woman, the boys were actually walking along a footpath not on the side of the road, the woman didn't try to miss a pole, she drove straight into a street pole/sign, then into a pile of rubbish that was out for council collection day on the footpath.. then ploughed into the boys... <p>we are not 100 percent sure but it seems the boys were trying to run from her car, the only way was back the way they had come as there was a 6 ft high house fence on one side of them and the road on the other, their body imprints are on the bonnet and windscreen and big dents on the top of her ar from where there heads hit..the police are not sure but it is thought she was doing 80 - 90 km an hour which is between 20 and 30 km over the speed limit, the road was completely straight that she was driving on..she did not try to stop, she did not attempt to brake, there are no skid marks, she just continued driving until she ploughed into them then she drove back off the footpath and around a corner to a carpark then came back and attempted to give Jye CPR, she then bragged to others that she had given CPR, as she was being taken away in the police car she waved and smiled to the media and in court the next day she giggled and laughed and blew kisses to her husband. <p>She was also unlicenced. Her laywer is trying to plead insanity, at this stage she is being charged for dangerous driving causing death, 2 charges plus driving without a licence, i have heard that it is possible the charges may be changed to manslaughter..thats up to the public prosecutor..I pray to god so many times during the day that they did not actually see her coming and that if in fact they did then it was too fast for their brains to register what was happening..i hate the thought that they did see her coming and were running..this pain is just too much to bear.
from normaltoilet :
I really need to update too. I am actually coming up to the Great White North for a week starting this weekend but won't be anywhere in your area.
from mskindasorta :
Once again it seems I cannot leave a msg in your blog, so I will leave it here =) We used to have daylight savings (in my state) but they stopped it quite a few years ago. There is a big debate being made at the moment about it because alot of people want it back in our state, especially now that some states have gone into daylight savings. I for one am neither here nor there with it, although it was nice having a little more daylight at night. Hope you are having a nice start to your week :)
from mskindasorta :
Hi LJ, I have to leave this message here because I was having troubles leaving a message in your new blog for some reason. I hope your friends are safe and well and there house is undamaged. Great news about your husbands new job! I'm glad you finally found me :) xo
from normaltoilet :
oh, i'm not planting anything, just tending what she's already got growing. weeding, propping up etc. and picking whatever ripens while she's gone ;p
from rebeckajane :
Thanks LJ, hope you are safe, well and happy xo
from h2ophobic :

Good luck on Wii search! I hope you find the home of your dreams.
from normaltoilet :
I live on planet flickr now :) see you there!
from lindzeeleigh :
Awwww, that is so nice that you were thinking of me. :) Too funny! I am sure that you will find a house if you keep looking. It is a fun search. I hope you enjoy your weekend!
from pilotmom :
I remember when we first signed the papers on our little home. We drove away kind of like we were in shock, asking ourselves what had we just done?!! Oh how we LOVED that little home. Such a small home but it was bursting at the seams with all the love and laughter we shared there. Even though we live in a home 3 times bigger James (Pilot) still says the other will always be remembered as his home. This one is now our (Mom and Dad's) home (which he is more than willing to come home to, I might add)! ;0 Lol!
from lindzeeleigh :
Hmmm, I wonder what happened to the little house? I love looking at houses and can't wait for us to do that one day again. MY week has been crazy and has more or less flown by, so I know what you mean!
from rebeckajane :
I don't mind autumn, I love the cooler weather and the breezy days although at the moment it's really windy and a little wet which isn't helping much with my cold/flu. Have a lovely easter :)
from pilotmom :
LOVE the pic! I pray your Easter is glorious indeed and filled with blessings from above! So glad to hear things are going a little better.
from lindzeeleigh :
Happy Easter weekend, LJ! :)
from myownjourney :
"Command Key"(with the little apple on it) and right arrow, will take you to the end of the line. :) Also, "shift-arrow" will select the text in the direction of the arrow. "shift-command-arrow" will select an entire line. Yup. That's right. Mac's rock!
from lindzeeleigh :
I've never heard of InDesign, but I do love my Mac! I hope it gets better for you... :)
from pilotmom :
Okay...inhale...s-l-o-w-l-y and now exhale, s-l-o-w-l-y. Now, how did it go? Did you survive? Did you find time to have a short quiet time---just you and the Lord? :) I used to work for 5 men in an office, doing everything, just like you. I had the bookkeeping, answering the phones, getting presentations ready...etc. That was a business, not a church! Keep that option open for the second job. I ended up moving on up to a different job with more pay and actually, much nicer people...what a blessing it was! Hang in there. It will get better!
from myownjourney :
Because Macs are AWESOME! And I used to use InDesign. Been awhile though...
from lindzeeleigh :
good luck with the new position tomorrow. I will be thinking of you. :)
from poolagirl :
Good luck, sweetie! Eight years in a church is a long long time. I just resigned my church position (in October). I am un-churched right now and actually feeling okay about it. I am quite surprised, actually.
from lindzeeleigh :
Wow, sounds like you did not quite have the best weekend at your retreat. I can't believe the staff didn't do or say anything about your horrible stay! :( What a gross place to stay in. I am sorry you had such a bad time. :(
from lindzeeleigh :
Have a good weekend! Enjoy your king sized bed and your jacuzzi! i am jealous! :P
from rebeckajane :
It's not about definately wanting it to be winter when I go there, it's just that your winter is the time my boys have 7 weeks off and are at their dads for part of that 7 weeks, therefor it's the only time I can really go. I can go in September too but I'd only get 2 weeks away. I'll just rug up lots! Oh and I am going to Arizona.
from lindzeeleigh :
Wow, it sounds like you had a great day - you deserve it! Happy birthday once again, enjoy your new clothes! :)
from catie-dids :
it's my job. . . loving you. . .and birtday wishes are my specialty. . .xoxo to you pretty lady!
from poolagirl :
Happy Happy Birthday! Sorry I missed it! Oh well, just pretend the elephant and the little girl without any underwear were dancing just for you!
from rebeckajane :
Happy Birthday girl xo
from pilotmom :
First off, Congrats on keeping your job. You are right, that kind of stuff is never easy to go through. It's hard on the ones let go and it's just as hard on the ones staying. Nest, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, LJ! May your day be FILLED with His blessings pouring out all around you!! Enjoy every special minute of it. I'm so glad the Lord saw fit to bring you into my "blogosphere" of friends! You are special!
from catie-dids :
Just so you know. . .I'm a little bit in love with you.
from sparkspark :
Happy almost-birthday! XOXO Violet
from lindzeeleigh :
I was wondering how the job situation was going and if you had found anything out as of yet. I hope you enjoy your day off tomorrow and it will be extra special because it is your birthday!! YAY! :D
from rufusmonk :
This is my pre-birthday happy birthday as insurance against the likelihood that I forget to come back tomorrow. Happy Birthday! :)
from catie-dids :
Hook me up with some of that Carrot Cake, darlin! Thank you for your e-mail ealier this week. Life has been more than full as of late, and i needed that second to smile with you. So what kind of fun things are there to do in Victoria?
from h2ophobic :
Happy Birthday 2 days early! I know I'll forget to send this on Friday, so decided to send it early. I hope you find out about your job soon.

I have not heard a single thing back about the traveling journal. I even forgot what the website was I set up for it... it probably got lost somewhere in Africa... :)

Hubby and I loved Failure to Launch...probably because we are the parents ages. Lol! Enjoy your movies.
from lindzeeleigh :
Enjoy your shows!!

Hi! Thanks so much for your note! It's good to hear from you! Love, Cassandra
from lindzeeleigh :
YAY for days off! Good for you for spending it relaxing and having some quiet time. I think you needed it. I thought the video was neat....I like that the homeless people got fed and that the guy was sneaky to get them some food.
from lindzeeleigh :
So glad to hear that you had a good time. :) I am going to check out your pictures, that is wonderful that you are wanting to take lots of pictures again!
from rebeckajane :
It seems when I come over yonder I am going to have to show you and Mr Ricky exactly how vegemite should be eaten. I know it's an acquired taste and I do remember a story of a guy who moved to Australia, on his first day he tasted vegemite and wanted to pack his bags and move back home. He now says that it's the first thing he has in the morning and if he ever moved back home one of the things he would miss is vegemite. Expect me for breakfast when I come over yonder and I'll show you how to enjoy vegemite ;o)
from pilotmom :
BTW, you take beautiful pics! Thanks for sharing them.
from pilotmom :
Of COURSE the best times are all the talks with the friends! Silly girl! ;) I'm so glad you had a great time. Now, I have some pics to look at. :)
from pilotmom :
LJ, just go, not expecting anything and see what the Lord delivers. :) I bet you will have a wonderful time of fellowship with your friends, if nothing else. However, it has always been my experience that the Lord ALWAYS has a little bit more in store for us if we but open our eyes and heart! Have fun. I'll be eager to hear all about it.
from rebeckajane :
Hi girl, I'm sorry, I ment to leave a note the night I read your post. It was nice to read that you are feeling better and I am slightly jealous of the 3 day weekend. Have a wonderful day xo
from lindzeeleigh :
I hope you have a wonderful time at the retreat. If nothing it will be time well spent with some great friends. :) Do let me know how it goes.
from h2ophobic :
How ironic. I just clicked on your name from my profile, to leave you a note and you'd left a new entry. I've been thinking about you and missing you!
from rufusmonk :
Hi LJ, It's nice to see an update. I think the whole 3-days off a week is a great idea. When my health was really bad a couple years ago, I requested to be placed on 4-day work weeks and it did absolute wonders for me (and it still is!). Your hubby is right -- use the time to relax, or get creative, or whatever works for you -- but do stuff that puts you at ease. I really think you'll be happier for it.
from pilotmom :
So good to see a new post from you! I'm glad you are feeling better. I've been really sick, on top of everything else I've been dealing with. I sat at the dinner table last night with hubby and looked up with surprise. What with everything going on, I had completely forgot to get him a valentine. He told me he didn't have one for me either and not to worry about it. We'll pick out a day when I'm well etc and we will celebrate Valentines Day then. I'm glad. I couldn't have moved if I wanted to. UGH! Congrats on the 4 day work week. I'm going to hold you to your promise about Fridays. :)
from lindzeeleigh :
It was nice to see your name highlighted on my buddy list. I was just thinking about you last night and wondering how you were doing. I am glad to hear that you are on your way up. Have a happy valentine's day! :)
from myownjourney :
Happy valentine's day, Mrs. Muwhump. :)
from poolagirl :
So glad you are back!
from pilotmom :
Thank you for all your kind thoughts over at my site. I'm back home as of tonight (2/6), feeling very overwhelmed at all the "business" stuff which needs to be taken care of. I'll be blogging again in a day or so.
from on-a-string :
I don't blame you for taking a hiatus! I will be sure to get in touch with you soon!:)
from pilotmom :
Okay. I'm ready for you to come back.

I hope you'll be feeling better very soon. DI is Destination Imagination...a creative extra curricular program for children. They're given a "challenge" that they solve and perform at tournaments. There is also a similar program named Odyssey of the Mind. I'm not sure if either program is available in Canada. Feel better!
from lindzeeleigh :
You are definitely in my prayers. I am sorry to hear that you are going through such a rough time :( Take care of yourself. :)
from lindzeeleigh :
Our New Year's wasn't too exciting either, but it was fun to have people over and spend time with our friends. At least you got some free passes!
from lindzeeleigh :
I am done with the surveys too! I need a break from them! :)
from lindzeeleigh :
YAY! I am glad that you did the little survey, I think it was a lot of fun. :) It sure helped pass the time and that is always good. :)
from lindzeeleigh :
I totally understand what you are saying about making new year's resolutions. I have never really made them before. I think you need to make good decisions and choices all year long, not just at the beginning of the year and then give them up. Blessings to you in the new year. :)
from smedindy :
Thanks for the add!!!
from sparkspark :
Happy New Year to you, Ms. LJ!! XOXO Violet
from poolagirl :
Nice list - many profound things said. You rock, lady.
from lindzeeleigh :
CAn't wait for you to fill out the meme too! Lots of fun. And YAY for being off of work - I love holidays. :) Oh, and did I tell you I got your Christmas card? Very cute!
from poolagirl :
Hail to thee, oh resting in jammies one! Thanks for all your support. You rock!
from normaltoilet :
see, i've tried Kay's D70 and i almost feel like it's too much camera for me. i was to go a little simpler. (and a little cheaper too ;p) fun stuff!
from normaltoilet :
well, i started out by checing out nikon dslrs and canon ones and i wasn't thrilled with what i was reading. so i went and looked at one of my favorite contacts on flickr and saw what camera she used and started checking out that line and really liked what i was reading and even asked a few other flickr users who have that camera what they like etc. camera snobs don't consider it a dslr, and some websites do or don't have it listed as one. I still haven't actually gone to a store and held one and played with it yet, but that's the next step :)

from lindzeeleigh :
Merry Christmas! Thank you so much for the lovely card, it is sitting out on our table. I am glad that you got mine as well. :) Enjoy the spirit of the season with your hubby.
from on-a-string :
Thank you ever so kindly for the hug!:) And, have a very, very merry christmas!:) -Beth
from myownjourney :
Thank you so much for the card. You are a very special woman LJ and I appreciate it alot.. ad for the hubby problem. I can understand it. I am pretty much the same way. When I'm speaking I like to be heard, but if someone is telling me something, I mostly just want them to get to the point. My attention span doesn't really go with the little detail. I'm more of a big picture kind of guy... and I think it's soemthingin the way God made us, because as far as I can tell, women will go on forever about all the little things and guys just want the facts...not the story. "Cinderella had some family that didn't like her. She met a prince. They got married. Happiness prevailed. The End" Kind of like that... ;-)
from rebeckajane :
Men are such a completely different species..tee hee. Thank you LJ, I was going to send your hubbies tim tams too but with everything going on it just kept slipping my mind, I promise to send them very soon. :)
from rebeckajane :
Yay a new laptop, congrats, Merry Christmas :)
from lindzeeleigh :
YAY for a new toy! I hope you enjoy your laptop and I am glad it got there safely. what a nice early Christmas present!
from lindzeeleigh :
I hope you get your Christmas card from me on time. Although I have the distinct feeling it might be more of a Happy New Year's card! :P
from pilotmom :
Praise the Lord for the "Ben's" in life! :) Some of these internet companies are just shams, IMHO. We have to ever be on the alert and research every company thoroughly to make sure they don't take us to the cleaners. I'm praying everything will be delivered in fine order by Friday. :)
from lindzeeleigh :
Wow - talk about the run around with that laptop. Yeeeesh! I hope everything goes a little more smoothly from now on for you!
from pilotmom :
This is too funny! Do you happen to notice any problems with the numbering of the meme? LOL! I copied and pasted, and I assume you did the same thing. When I revisted Gayla's blog (whom I got the meme from) she had copied and pasted, but had messed up her copying and pasting in some way! I didn't realize it until she made a comment on hers once she realized she had left out some of the questions! Isn't that funny? I went back to mine and checked, and sure enough, mine is just like hers, and yours is just like mine! :D Great answers by the way!
from myownjourney :
1: with my back to it mostly. 2: a bath mat? 3: uh... no. 4: up... by the way, do you know what happened to MessyChristian? I reinstalled some things on my computer and then forgot to put in all my blogs I read. Was just curious why she hasn't updated since June... :)
from lindzeeleigh :
I hope Stinky Pete pops by soon!! :)
from lindzeeleigh :
Oooh new technology {Wow, that was one of the spelling words for the kids today - good thing I can spell it!}! New laptops are cause for excitement!
from pilotmom :
Hey there girlfriend! I did the meme. :)
from lindzeeleigh :
You know I like to give you a hard time because you know what a real Alberta winter is!! Yesterday and today have been around -40 with the windchill - you know I'll be jealous come February! I am glad Stinky Pete resurfaced!
from normaltoilet :
Oh I've known for years that i want kinds... hoolding them just makes me want to steal them away from their parents :P i keep telling my sister to send me her daughter (who is in her terrible twos) because i even find that desirable. weird huh?
from rebeckajane :
No that's not really what I said. What I said was that I have worked in this industry and left it almost 6 years ago when my marriage fell apart, I didn't really want to get back into it but at the time it was far more reliable and secure than the other job I was offered. I can't say I love this job but I am becoming much more comfortable and confident in the role as each week goes by and the opportunity that's been given to me to apply for is a great one and will get me to the kind of work in this industry I'd like to be doing, in which I feel I'd be able to be more of myself and put more of myself into. I've probably just never explained it right, I think I did mention I'd stick it out for 6 months and then find something else but although I don't love the job, it is secure, safe and can give me the experience I need to get me the job I want or at the very least would be positive in saying I'm happy in. I think I just repeated myself then? Sorry, a mind full of many things. Have a wonderful night, your stray is cute :)
from lindzeeleigh :
Hahaha- I am laughing that Victoria is shut down because of a little bit of snow - not here in ol' Alberta! HEhehe.
from myownjourney :
Happy Turkey Day to you too Big Sis.
from h2ophobic :
Dear Sweet Mugwhump, I'm 5'3" and weigh 160 lbs. I love sweaters and the color green. If you don't find anyone to wear your sweater, I would gladly wear it, even if it was too big. I would love to say "My friend Mugwhump knitted this sweater." Take care.
from h2ophobic :
So funny! I used to be a magazine junkie too...I'm not sure how I kicked the habit. Ok, well I didn't exactly KICK it. I still buy magazines, but I don't order subscriptions to them anymore. I guess that's a step in the right direction. ;o)
from rebeckajane :
21? eek. I've sent you mail.
from rebeckajane :
Yes, that's me in the pictures with my boys. I'm not big on magazines or catalogues but there are 2 magazines I'd buy and 2 catalogues I race to be the first to read when I see them. I keep telling myself I won't buy those magazines as I usually end up teary after reading some things, but there's a lot of feel good stuff in them too, and everyone likes a little feel good stuff :)
from normaltoilet :
Re: American thanksgiving: it totally depends on where you work. some offices close, some do not, some (like mine) have minimal staffing that day. just depends on what kind of business it is and what the executives decide.
from pilotmom :
With a full fridge and lots of logs just ready to be burned sounds like my kind of weekend! Enjoy!
from rebeckajane :
Ohmygosh no! I am not a stalker or becoming stalkish. I think maybe you missed the previous entry where I wrote how I received a parcel/package from Mr Ricky. I was very excited about this because he's been promising me a package since forever (you know how he is..tee hee) and he finally sent one. During one of our phone calls he asked if I wanted a cushion he had with him on it. The same graphic as his profile page. He sent me that cushion/pillow and a hat and some salsa. Nothing stalkish going on LJ, you may rest easy.
from rebeckajane :
I'm catching up on entries, I'd have to say as far as I go, that I can easily forgive someone but do have trouble trusting them again. There have been instances that I've decided the only way to solve something is to trust the person however most times trust has to be gained back. Your cats are very cute! Have a wonderful weekend..hugs
from rebeckajane :
The bank would not lend me enough to buy the house, I can only borrow up to 280,000, the house is being sold for 350,000. I don't want to buy yet anyhow, I'm not ready to get tied down to a house again, financially speaking. The house has been up for sale for a couple of months and the sale itself only takes 4 weeks. Because the bank was repossessing the house from this guy they are allowed to give only 4 weeks notice to me, however, since speaking to them i may have a couple of months yet. I'm hoping due to the red tape that's involved I'd have till just after christmas. But fingers crossed and investor buys it and i don't have to move at all :)
from lindzeeleigh :
I think you can forgive, but that doesn't always means that you are going to easily forget. :)
from pilotmom :
No, I don't believe lack of trust equals lack of forgiveness. I can forgive someone but that doesn't mean there are not consequences which occur because of what the sin was.
from jt76 :
One of the best adds I heard was from the Montana Senate race. It was Conrad Burns (Republican) who was saying you shouldn't vote for John Tester (Democrat) because Tester hadn't filed for a gun liscence in 14 years.
from myownjourney :
jt76 is just making the rounds today... anyway, yeah, you know us Americans. We love a good fight. The issues come second to most people. It's usually all about who throws the best punches, apparrantly.. :) Issues? I don't need no stinkin issues... (that was a joke by the way... if you imagine it with a thick mexican accent, it's really much funnier....really)
from jt76 :
Saw your note on myownjourney.... Yes, American polotics is messed up. There are only two parties and since they have all the power, it is in their best interest to stifle the emergence of a third (or fourth) party. And all of the adds you see are negative because that is what wins elections. If you have two people running for office and one of them spends all their time telling you what they stand for and tho other spends all their time telling you what is wrong with their opponent, they will end up winning 99% of the time...sad state of affairs, huh?
from pilotmom :
"A simple descriptor or carry judgment"...I like how she said that! I guess I can't help but be labeled but I think it's as a description. I'm a Christian...that's a label..in fact, it carries a mark...or will. A person is either a Christian or not a Christian. Everything else is just superflous. But that doesn't give me liberty to jump out and say, "I'm a Christian and you're not. Let's talk..." Hopefully, my actions will live up to my label. Sadly, sometimes, I'm afraid they don't. Thanks for the hugs today. I needed them! :)
from sparkspark :
Sorry... Bondage and Discipline. (And, incidentally, I was not describing myself.) XOXO Violet
from sparkspark :
I love the sparkly label. And... my thoughts are that in many cases, you can describe something (i.e., label it) without limiting it to that description. A label can be a simple descriptor, or it can carry judgment--I think they're useful as the former. Otherwise, we couldn't ever describe anything. Some people enjoy defining themselves by labels ("I'm a bi-sexual, Romanian-American chartered accountant into B&D") and some don't ("I'm Jeannine"). I guess I don't like to define myself by labels, and consciously, I don't like defining others that way, either. But I'm sure there are times when I've done so. XOXO Violet
from lindzeeleigh :
HEhehe - i am laughing at your CSI Miami dream! I love shows like that and it is so funny that you are dreaming about them.
from normaltoilet :
ah-hah the detective in you come sout! well the money issues were due to his clients not paying, but they have since started making their payments. and he actually had a friend order the flowers since the dork went over there without taking a credit card with him. seriously, who goes on a major overseas trip without a cc even as back-up?
from sparkspark :
I DID say "desert island," you are right! I am laughing at myself. Good answers, Ms. MW! XO Violet
from catie-dids :
the new address will come in the next 2 weeks, i promise. . .now questions: 1)how did you and the man meet? 2)You talk about a torrid upbringing, but you have to have one solid happy memory - what is it? 3)If you could live anywhere in the world but could never leave a 50 mile radius from that place, where would you go? I miss you!!!
from sparkspark :
Three questions for the lovely mugwhump: 1. If your favorite band was a dessert, what would it be, and why? 2. You are allowed three items on a desert island. All three items must fit inside a shoebox, and cannot contain sulphur or wood products. What are the items? 3. You have just realized that you have the ability to communicate directly with a deity who inhabits the moon. What would you ask him or her? XO Violet

You are like miss susie homemaker! I hope I am getting one of your lovely cards again - I always look forward to getting them. :)
from sparkspark :
I like this feast. XO Violet
from rebeckajane :
Thanks for the giggle..I AM getting my Elfin ass/bahootie over there..just not for another 423 days. I can't believe how quick time has gone because when I put that countdown thingie on my diary it was over 500 days until I arrived over there..have a lovely weekend
from pilotmom :
22.792...I like this type of game. :) It will be very addicting for me as I try to beat the time. *sigh* Well, we have to have some outlet, right? lol!
from tattoobelly :
Holy cow, I'm so excited about your inherited yarn, and you know what? I think you should make socks. I've never made them (yet--I'm totally going to make some soon), but they couldn't be more difficult than mittens, which I'm enjoying making. Or you could make mittens! Probably I'm a little TOO excited about your yarn, but it's gotta be so fun to have all that yarn and all those possibilities. Carry on.
from normaltoilet :
yeah i've never bought in to that whole associating meaning with the color of the roses. Personally I'm really glad they weren't red roses because that seem so cliche that it's almost lost it's meaning. but that's just my NT take on things :)
from pilotmom :
Oh my goodness! I gave up trying to understand the first cousin/second cousin/removed thing years ago. It about drove me insane! :) LOL! So glad you have reconnected.
from normaltoilet :
right, the aim is to prevent myself from getting sucked into the fantasy if he's playing games. not to trick or hurt him or me. Thanks for the best wishes and keep your fingers crossed for me that this is indeed real :) NT
from rebeckajane :
I've heard a bucket of water with cut up lime in it evaporates the odour. Hope you are well and smiling :)
from pilotmom :
Yes, get him neutered---FAST!!! ;) Then, go to the pet store and ask them for a product that takes the urine smell out. I can't remember the name but it does work. In the meantime, use white vinegar. Saturate it and then soak it up with a towel etc. Then use the pet store stuff. Hope this helps.
from lindzeeleigh :
Awww, poor stinky pete. He is very cute! I would suggest you get him neutered - that might help with the spraying. As for what gets the smell out, I have no idea!
from on-a-string :
When our big fat cat pees in the house I tell my mom to smell coffee beans. Even if you can't get the smell out of your house, at least you can get the smell out of your nose;)
from on-a-string :
That just bizarres me out.
from pilotmom :
Weird is the word for me. :)
from poolagirl :
LOVE the poodle woman! Have no idea what she is doing but it's great!
from evelena72 :
34 wasn't bad at all....25 was traumatic for me for whatever reason! 45 is nothing....your not old until you hit triple digits...my grandmother is 85 and the picture of health!
from brdwaybebe :
Hi Honey! Thanks for the note! All is well! Just haven't had time or something to post lol. I'm sure I'll pick up soon! Bit of writers block lol
from pilotmom :
How absolutely WONDERFUL to stay in PJ's till 4 pm!!! You go Girl!!! I hope you enjoyed every minute of your "down" time. Chillin' is the way to unwind for sure!
from evelena72 :
thank you for your comment. I really appreciate it...
from godsong :
I understand "new normal" - it's been the place I've been these past few months. I don't think you're being a bad daughter-in-law, but I understand the struggle - I've been wrestling with the "am I a bad daughter" question for a bit now. Sorry I haven't been in touch as much - but I do often think about you! Hope you stop to visit me soon! Love you! Lisa
from lindzeeleigh :
You are NOT a bad daughter-in-law!
from pilotmom :
Ewwwww! Just reading your post may be enough to turn me away from coffee! LOL! Thank you for your very kind words to me. I really don't feel that way at all so I guess it is the Lord. :)
from poolagirl :
Dead bugs make EXCELLENT substitutes for coffee beans. YUM!
from lindzeeleigh :
Nothing like a little extra protein in the morning elixir!! :)
from dinahsoar :
Hi Mugsy! It's been a long time! Glad to be back in Diaryland! I got married in August, so I was pretty busy planning the wedding. Great to re-aquaint with my buddies!
from pilotmom :
LJ, I can so relate to the sleeping/resting issue. I need more sleep! My day feels like I am gone from morning to night with no time for "me". Isn't that selfish? There are not enough hours in my day. *sigh*
from sparkspark :
I've always wanted a fabulous charm bracelet, like from a Texas oil billionaire's wife, with lots of mementoes from trips to Paris and whatnot. XO Violet
from h2ophobic :
Thanks for the note. What is Gravol? Is it a prescription? Thanks again.
from pilotmom :
LJ, I received my charm braclet when I was 5 or 6 living in Washington, DC. It had the White House as it's charm. Then, we moved to Germany and I loved all the different charms I added to it then. Once we were back in the states, when I was a teenager, it got lost, or stolen, or...something. I have missed terribly over the years!
from on-a-string :
Heyyyy..I can decipher dreams!
from pilotmom :
Oh, LJ! Thank you dear sweet friend! I sat and cried all the way through the video. Isn't it awesome to experience that vicariously through the photo lens? He moved into his apartment today. I hope to talk with him sometime tomorrow. Now that he is in a different time zone (2 hours difference) it seems like he is in another country! LOL! Just when I'm getting ready to settle in for a long conversation with him I realize he will probably be in bed! And, my tears were happy tears. It's just been a very, very long day and I am just so saddened by my mom's condition. Things really hit me tonight as I got her ready for bed. Enough of my carrying on! :) I didn't get to do my Friday Feast because I just plain ran out of time. :(
from poolagirl :
Dang - trying to post a note and things are being weird. Anyway....the surreal nature of death is something we never forget. Take care!
from rebeckajane :
I still have my daughters ashes, in a beautiful little box my mother gave me, it's so tiny. I have always planned on scattering her ashes somewhere but because she was stillborn there was never any real place that was perfect, that held memories. I've got this special little cliff I go to that overlooks the ocean, sometimes I've thought about scattering her there. Sometimes it feels wrong but I remind myself that's not her spirit in that little box. Thanks for the advice on the job..job satisfaction is important but I'm not really going to know what level that is till I am actually working in the environment. Thanks LJ :)
from the-ordinary :
when i die, whoever cleans out my kitchen will just find, like, 400 boxes of cereal or something. also, i was poking around on flickr earlier today and saw the obit for your mom, and i hope she *did* leave you that t-shirt! bear naked! it looks like she was enjoying herself, right until the end. i hope people can say that about me when i die, but i will probably disappear in a cloud of bitterness, surrounded by cereal.
from pilotmom :
"Hilarical," I really like that! Pretty much sums it up, doesn't it? :)
from myownjourney :
I'm glad your back. LJ. I missed ya. :-)
from rebeckajane :
Oh believe me LJ, the boys have not got off scott free and will be also assisting their uncle to fix the wall. I'm just not like my dad who used to order us down to the willow tree to choose a branch that he could give us a good bahootie belting with, of course I laugh about that now but I can assure you back then I really disliked my father lol.. Hmm, we usually refer to it as over in America or Canada. I refer to it as across the puddle ;o) Hope you are feeling ok..hugs :)
from lindzeeleigh :
I've missed you too! We have both been mia from blogging - feel better my dear LJ. :)
from poolagirl :
Fell better soon!

from pilotmom :
Congratulations! Here's to many, many more wonderfully blessed years with your special hubby!
from lindzeeleigh :
I would sing you the happy anniversary song - but it is too much to type out, so pretend I am doing it!! [I just typed tit by accident - i am getting racy on your anniversary here!!] That is a lovely tribute to your mom. Was the weekend okay?
from rebeckajane :
Happy Anniversary :)
from myownjourney :
Happy Anniversary LJ. :-)
from rebeckajane :
It's amazing how comforting the words of a child can be..my thoughts are with you LJ..hugs
from h2ophobic :
Out of the mouths of babes... God bless you and your family.
from tattoobelly :
I'm behind on my blog reading so I only just read about your mom. I'm so so so so sorry! My thoughts will be with you.
from lindzeeleigh :
Awww, what a lovely call from a wonderful little boy! :)
from poolagirl :
I'm sorry to hear about your mother. She sounds like an amazing lady....a real pirate. We should all aspire to be so unique and well-remembered. The lady I saw this morning was a trip and a half. What flipped me over the edge was that she dressed up her wee dog.

Your "whine" accepted...I'm still laughing! :)
from lindzeeleigh :
Hahaha- your belly comment totally reminded me of Homer Simppson and him jiggling his belly. Love yourself for who you are my dear Mugwhump -you know I do. Thanks for the well wishes about school, it has been great!
from on-a-string :
Yes! Of course!:) Go ahead and e-mail me at atarifish at yahoo dot com and I'll send it to you!:) How are you doing these days?
from rebeckajane :
tee hee, american or canadian i don't care, they all have gorgeous accents, I'm coming to canada in 2008. Well I promised my sister I'd go with her for her 30th birthday, depends on finances of course. Don't worry I'm sure those who debate sending you hate mail will forgive you ;o)
from pilotmom :
First off, silly, you are terrible at math! ;) Actually, I think one is never old enough to lose a parent. It is so very hard. We move through it at different paces yet He is ever faithful to bring us back into the light once again. (((hugs))
from lindzeeleigh :
I was wondering how you were doing, so I am glad updated - don't worry about entries making sense or if you are unsure as of what to write. It might just help to get some of your feelings out. I think you will feel more at peace when you get to be with your family. BIG HUGS!! xo
from sparkspark :
My condolences on your loss. XO Violet
from on-a-string :
Praying for you, LJ.
from rebeckajane :
I'm sorry to read about your mum LJ, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

from rufusmonk :
Oh, L-J... Many condolences to you and yours from the monk and the bee.
from lindzeeleigh :
I am so sorry to hear about your mom passing away. I think that is a call we all regret receiving and never want to picture that day. Know that right now I am thinking of you and praying for you and your family. Big Hugs. xo
from pilotmom :
(((Hugs))) LJ! I'm so sorry to hear this news! No matter what age our parents are it is never easy to lose them. I will be praying for you and your brother as you move through the necessary steps awaiting you. May you rest completely in His arms knowing that He is sovereign. I look forward to your return. God Bless Friend!
from pilotmom :
Oh, I love weddings! I love to see the different personalities emerge in how the couples "do" their wedding! And, I love to sit and reminisce about our own wedding day!
from normaltoilet :
I've never been there either and am looking forward to exploring... and you KNOW I'll be taking lots of pictures! :P
from pilotmom :
What a great feast! I'm glad you tried it. I didn't think about being independantly wealthy...I wish I had! ;) Hope you are feeling better every day!
from pilotmom :
I used to think just like you...I was too young to go yet, or, I'm not ready to go, etc. However, I've come to realize that the real problem is we have no clue to what heaven is truly like which, in turn, causes our perspective to be skewed. As I've studied the Scriptures and what it has to say about heaven, I've changed my position. I cannot wait to arrive there! Like you said, He knows our exact time. But, truly, heaven is incomprehensibly better than anything here on earth. :)
from rufusmonk :
Hi L-J! I just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you, and I hope your health gets steadily better from here. I had heart scare last year when I learned that I have an arrhythmia that is uncomfortable, but not dangerous. Nevertheless, it was really scary, so I feel for you big time. Glad that you have T and a good outlook to see you through. Get well!
from h2ophobic :
Thanks for your note. Billings is about 3 hours and a WORLD away from Butte. Butte is kind of an entity unto itself. It has lots of history, but unfortunately not much else. Billings is a mini-metro area. The population is about 100k, which is quite large for any city in Montana. Back to Butte though...if you ever visit again, please send me an email. I live only about an hour from there - maybe we could meet for a meal or coffee. P.S. Be a good girl and listen to what your doctor tells you to do. I've gotten quite fond of you in the past few months and want you to hang around a bit longer!
from breatheasigh :
sending positive thoughts your way..hugs
from pilotmom :
(((Hugs)))LJ! Er's are never a very fun place to be. However, I'm glad you went and at least had it "documented." One just never knows. I don't know if I've told you, or if you have read far enough back in my archives, I have had two strokes. One on the first of July and the second following on the last day of July back in 2002. It isn't something to fool around with. So keep that appt with your doc and then get busy on beginning a new exercise routine and healthier eating habits. You are too precious to leave right now! :D
from lindzeeleigh :
Lj- thatis a very scary Sunday indeed. I am glad you are going to see your doctor right away, that is very good. I hope that you and the doctor are able to come up with some changes so you don't have another scare like that for a very, very long time. I am thinking about you. *hugs* and thanks for your help with the flickr, I will post another pic or two tonight maybe!
from lindzeeleigh :
okay, I have some photos added to a flickr account, but how do I post them in diaryland? I saw a link where it said add a blog, but diaryland wasn't on there, so I wasn't sure what to put. I need your vast flickr experience! ;)
from breatheasigh :
Thanks for reminding me LJ, a girl can dream though ;o)
from dinahsoar :
Thanks so much for asking and for remembering a flake like me! Yes, the wedding is next Saturday, the 19th! Yikes! Say a little prayer for us! I'll write when I get back from our honeymoon! Love, Dinah
from pilotmom :
I thought this was the cutest pic! ;) Welcome back to the "real" world! I'm glad you had a great holiday.
from lindzeeleigh :
How do you do the picture thing through flickr? And how do I get a flickr account? And is it free? Sorry for all the questions, but I really miss posting pics in my diary and if this is an easy way to do it, i am all for it!
from poolagirl :
You're not bad, you're FUNNY!
from poolagirl :
I see the picture! And thanks for reading my diary! And, just for the record, I don't drink sangria (bah) - but I probably would if Ernest was there and we were really in Spain and stuff. It would be kinda like "when in Rome" and stuff.
from evelena72 :
no way babe....you are NOT old!
from breatheasigh :
welcome back :)
from normaltoilet :
don't be silly LJ, you're totally adorable!
from h2ophobic :
I've added you to my favorites. I hope that's ok. Thanks!
from pilotmom :
We are cooler too...we're down to 98 F from 104 F. Hope the rest of your holiday goes well!
from lindzeeleigh :
Yes, it is cooler here today, too~! Thank goodness. I think it would be a good idea for you guys to get away, maybe go somewhere even for the day so that your place of work is not within visible range!
from lindzeeleigh :
Tehee- I like the raccoon stories....they are entertaining. I have never seen a live raccoon, but I hear they can be trouble!
from pilotmom :
What a guy your hubby is! Three cheers for him! As for being tired of the cat tales...oh no...it's just down home tales of what goes on. Good stuff. No wonder Mr. Big has been hungry! That darn raccoon has been eating his food! Enjoy your vacation! I know it's much needed. Get some rest and relaxation! :D
from evelena72 :
The blueberry wojapi has been a huge HIT!! The cranberry bread hasn't been as popular, but it's pretty good!
from breatheasigh :
Thanks for the note :) whats with being tired all the time? life i guess and age lol...uh oh about the tom cat, hmm..can you simply say "what hole honey?, no I don't see a hole, are you feeling ok? ..tee hee
from pilotmom :
The nicest thing my hubby would do to that cat would be to drive miles and miles away from our house and drop him off. Otherwise, it would be the feline cemetary for sure!!
from lindzeeleigh :
Quick go buy a new screen for the window before he finds out!! TomCat just wanted to be as close to you as possible and was trying to sneakily gain entrance. :P
from lindzeeleigh :
Awwww, cute entry about the kitty again. :) I really think you should adopt him as your own. He clearly has already adopted you long ago! Like you said, come winter you will have to because your heart will break knowing he is outside and cold somewhere!!
from normaltoilet :
Mugs, I have no idea how to even find a reputable naturalpath. ...
from breatheasigh :
In response to your first gb entry..thank you :) and in response the 2nd..i hear you! tee hee..hope you had a wonderful weekend :)
from pilotmom :
Oh I am sooo glad for you! What a special hubby you have. Isn't it wonderful when they listen to you and...then...UNDERSTAND????!!!! Happy Days!
from pilotmom :
Let's just go back to bed, okay? I AM going to go back to bed. I went to bed at 3:30 am and got up at 7:30 am for my appt. UGH! But, I'm home now and I'm crawling back in...with the heating pad on my achy ol' knees! Ahhh, yes!
from pilotmom :
Memories...my grandmother used to have a DQ across the street from her home. It was such a busy street! In the afternoon, she and I would go across the street together to get us some "cream". What special times for me! Thanks for the memories! :)
from evelena72 :
I haven't updated in so long! It feels like forever! You mentioned Dairy Queen....We just got one here! YAY...I love Blizzard's!!
from brdwaybebe :
Hi! Thanks! Good to be back! Yep it's new! Though it's probably gonna turn Superman themed shortly. hehee! I'm in a phase what can I say!
from breatheasigh :
I'm with the other comments, it looks as though he has adopted you regardless. Our cat is/was a stray that a friend found over an hour from here. I didn't want a kitten but she was pretty irrisistable. What can you do..sigh..good luck :)
from pilotmom :
Me thinks you already have a new member of the family regardless of what hubby desires. Once he was fed by you, and no less, has helped himself to Dijit's food IN THE HOUSE, I think he has pretty much made himself at home. But, I would get him neutered ASAP if you don't want the markings indoor. :)
from lindzeeleigh :
I think you should adopt him because he clearly already loves you and you are smitten with him. Plus cats like having other cats around. You will be giving him a new, lovely home! That is my two cents!
from godsong :
It sounds as if "Big" has already adopted you...I guess you might need to make him an official part of your family - perhaps keeping him primarily as an outdoor cat if possible. On another note - thanks for continuing to visit me outside of diaryland! I love reading your diary when I have the chance!
from lindzeeleigh :
ahahaha - the top ten trivia cracked me up!!
from pilotmom :
I love the gaseous one!!! ;)
from pilotmom :
Sounds like your Sunday was perfect! Way to go! I laughed about the Margaritas...I love them but don't have them very often. Another drink that we used to love are Wine Coolers. Very refreshing on a hot summer evening. I haven't had one of those in years...maybe 20? How did THAT happen? Hmmmm....
from normaltoilet :
I'll tell you if you want to know, but you'll have to email me cause i think i'm not going to name names on here :) [email protected]
from lindzeeleigh :
Hi LJ! I just wanted to say hello and thank you for your lovely comments - especially about the RCMP officer. That was a tricky situation! Speaking of situations, what are you going to do about the recpetionist job morphing idea??
from normaltoilet :
sorry hon, you lost me
from normaltoilet :
normally I'm lucky If I get any tips at all. I never knew they accepted tips there until I started working there. oh, and check out this :)http://normaltoilet.diaryland.com/060530_23.html
from breatheasigh :
Uhuh those emotions sure can throw you about a bit, thank you for the kind words :)
from dinahsoar :
Thank you. It means alot. It is so reassuring to know that He attends to every detail of our lives, that His eye really is on the sparrow and we can know He watches us.
from pilotmom :
LJ, are you a pray-er? Many times I find I have trouble falling asleep at night or staying asleep. But I have found, like you, I can begin a serious circle of negative thinking. My approach was to begin praying. I pray about what I'm thinking (negatives and all) but I find it shifts somewhere to my praying for others. It helps me to redirect my thoughts so they are not focused on "me" and my pity party. Those parties can be real humdingers, especially if I invite others to come join me. (I try not to invite others) :)
from breatheasigh :
i can relate to both topics in your entry..especially the sleeping of late..i go to bed and whilst my eyes and body are tired and begging to sleep my brain just keeps going and going and going..i go through stages of this..it lasts for a couple of months then suddenly i can sleep with ease but take 2 nights ago for example..i had 3 hours sleep because it took me hours to go to sleep then i woke and the brain started thinking again so i couldnt get back to sleep..i was so frustrated!..as for diary entries..there have been times (in my old diary) that i stopped writing for a month or two because either i was uninspired or things were going on in life that prevented me from writing..i think sometimes too we forget this is a journal we can write out deepest thoughts and sometimes because we are aware we have an audience we may hold back on what we write and of course for the fact that someone we know may find us..i say just write when you want to write and don't worry about it..hugs :)
from on-a-string :
I will say a big prayer for you.
from evelena72 :
The taste is not too bad...and yes it does work! It's amazing! Thanks for the support!
from on-a-string :
What a crazy predicament. I hope you find clarity soon- I know the feeling:) -Beth PS: Thanks for the compliment on the entry.
from myownjourney :
Well, not that I would know from personal experience, but I hear that "being a wife and daughter-in-law" requires pretty much everything you are. Supposedly its the hardest and most important job there is.... you know, that's what I hear anyway. Personally, I think being a single 35 year old guy with litttle responsibility and next to no ambition is the hardest, but whatever... ;-)
from pilotmom :
I'm trying to get caught up with my blog friends now that my family has left. Just wanted to say Hi! :)

Actually, I do believe the Bible has quite a bit to say about heaven! :) And, I do think we will be doing more than what you mentioned. Doing well so far? I do know we will be at a perfect weight for our height and since there won't be any sin, we will not over eat. Yea!!! Yet, we will enjoy the food fully, along with fellowship. I do think we will have "work" to do but it won't be a drudgery for us and we will actually experience joy and satisfaction from it...like we were originally meant to do. This is probably enough for now.... ;)
from breatheasigh :
there's a commercial over here for chocolate..everything is made of chocolate..that would be my heaven ;o) but seriously i'd love to meet my grandfather and grandmother that i only ever met once, along with my dear grandma and my little sister and my daughter, i'd also be able to sing beautifully and ..i could go on and on :)
from normaltoilet :
thanks for the compliments Mugwhump! I of course posted ones that I am most proud of, but even with training and more technical skills that I have photography is a tought business to make it in. Glad you enjoyed them though! :)

My heaven will be filled with a choir who gets along, has great tone quality and has all day practices. There will be swimming pools and I will also be the center of attention in a group that laughs at all my joke. I will own my own comedy club and everyone will love me. The sky will always be starry and the water will be so amazingly clear. That's what my heaven will be like:)

I love Patrick. That's all there is to it.

Thanks for your note! I, too, continue to "keep tabs" on you - I'm so sorry to hear of that devastating fire. Hope you have a wonderful week! Lisa
from lindzeeleigh :
Good for you - 142! Thanks for your notes! Yes, my girlfriend and I found out what happened at the end, I am still in shock that she slept with him?!?! Yikes. And yes, I do like Casting Crowns, I heard the song on the Christian radio station here and was hooked. That is awesome that you got to see them....Now I kind of even remember that entry!
from pilotmom :
Instead of writing "I've" I would write "I have" which then counts as two words... ;)
from lindzeeleigh :
That would be extremely hard for me to do - 100 words a day?!? I can't even write 100 words in one week! Oh dear.......So I FINALLY watched GG with a girlfriend last night and it was so good, but so bad? doe that make sense? I was nearly in tears over Rory and Logan - that was a cute moment. And I am quite sad about Luke and Lorelai. I wonder what is going to happen next season - could be interesting. I am still not ready to give up on Luke and Lorelai - but Luke has not been top notch lately, that is for sure. I am not sure it is a good idea for Lorelai to get back with chris though.....I could go on about this forever, but I will spare the other people who read your notes! Hehe. :) p.s. I will be sending your tape back this weekend!
from on-a-string :
Hey! That's a GREAT idea! I am jumping on the 100 word bandwagon!:) -Beth
from lindzeeleigh :
I sometimes find it hard to be content...which really shouldn't be too hard!
from pilotmom :
I am saddened your Dad never told you he had found the ring. I lost the diamond out of my wedding set soon after we were married. It happened at work (retail store) and I noticed it after helping a woman try to get a huge Weber bar-b-que grill into her car. My hubby came home from school early and found me just desolate. We went back to the store after hours and searched the sidewalk with a flashlight. A policeman stopped and questioned us but then he even joined in the search. Well, the next day, Jim called the customer (she had charged the grill) and asked if he could come out and search her car. He did. I had told him it had to be in the trunk of her car since that was where I had really wrestled with the huge box. He found everything...money, glass, pencils etc but no diamond. It was a long shot. But he was a fairly new Christian and so he sat there and prayed, asking God to help him find this little tiny diamond in the 'next five minutes.' He got out of the trunk and asked her son to help push down on the back seat so they could take it out of the car. As hubby pushed down, the diamond rolled out... :D The next time I lost it...we were not so blessed. I didn't find it. :(
from breatheasigh :
aww i'm sorry and i hope you find them..i too recently lost the stone from a ring and an earring my mother gave me..i don't wear much jewelry and was pretty upset when these (the only ones i do wear) went missing...your story reminded me of when i was little..we lived on a cattle farm and i begged mum to let me wear some of her jewelry..that afternoon i went down to milk some cows and forgot i had them on so i took them off and put them on my lap whilst i milked..i forgot i had them there when i finished and laying in bed that night it hit me..i was so upset the next day i spent hours searching the field but it had rained all night and the cattle had trod everywear..i never did find them and i remember getting into alot of trouble off my father..i still feel guilty about that..sigh..its something i use when my children borrow something to remind them of the consequences of borrowing things and looking after them as if they were your own..i hope you find what you have lost :)

Oh my goodness! Me either. My parents bought me a purity ring when I was 13 and I was showing at the fair. I removed it from my finger and placed it in my pocket- it was gone forever. Making the call to tell them I lost my purity ring may have been the second worst phone call I ever had to make. Oh, boy. I know how it feels to be incapable of safely managing jewelry. I still haven't confessed to losing this other ring....
from on-a-string :
You've been tagged:) You can read the latter part of my entry for details!:)
from lindzeeleigh :
awww, what a nice entry. It is lovely to have such nice memories! I still have not watched GG yet - I need more hours in the day!!!
from pilotmom :
What wonderful memories to dwell on. I can see why you would be praising the Lord for His blessings!
from breatheasigh :
that was a nice entry to read..have a wonderful weekend :)
from normaltoilet :
Yeah, I thought the remake was pretty good, but sadly was missing Laura's Theme...guess they didn't have the rights to it... but now I want to go back and watch the original :)
from pilotmom :
You are one up on me! I've not updated! Too, too busy! ACK!!! I've begun a discussion with a person who doesn't believe in the Trinity...that Jesus is not God, just God's Son. All the research etc is taking up a great deal of time. So far, we are just looking at John 1:1. :) I love it!!!
from pilotmom :
Oh no! Still now new post! I bet that new TV has something to do with no new posts! ;D LOL!
from pilotmom :
You have to really watch out for those "just checking it out" shopping trips. ;) They bite you every time! Have fun with your new toy.
from lindzeeleigh :
I am sorry you have a bad headache. :( I hope you and the hubby are feeling better soon! So, no luck on me being able to track GG down. :( You might actually have to mail it to me after all! I told Ben that and he just thought that was the greatest thing ever! Hehehe.
from breatheasigh :
happy mothers day for tomorrow..have a great day :)
from toastcrumbs :
No, no Lost bracelet yet - but maybe not a bad idea. I have a craft fair I am doing in a few weeks and am trying to come up with new ideas, hmmmm. Good suggestion! I'm not sure what Lost is on against - it's on Wednesdays, but I don't get to see it until Thursdays because I am one of those people with no tv and watch it on ABC.com. So while everyone else is discussing what happened on Thursday morning, I am covering my ears and humming. ;)
from toastcrumbs :
Thanks for the note! I still don't know if I am going to take the job or not, but I am definitely leaning towards yes. I have a month to decide. I have a friend that loves Gilmore Girls so much she had me make her a Gilmore Girls bracelet. I'm sure she is going through withdrawals too! As for me, I'm more of a Lost fan. :)
from breatheasigh :
i thought i made alot of sense lol but apprently i didn't because you are not the only one that has asked..anyhow i've put a quick explanation in my diary...have a wonderful weekend with your man and i hope it goes nice and slow for you both :)..i've never been for a ride on a motorbike but is definately on my *to do* list..
from evelena72 :
I am so sorry you weren't recognized...rest assured that I am sharing my bouquet with you so you don't have to feel left out!
from on-a-string :
Hahaha! Ring tones are silly, but I will admit, that if I had a cell phone, I'd have a ring tone. And, no, I wish it were mine. It is from a song by many a people called "I Can't Help Falling In Love." It was originally sung by Elvis Presley, but my favorite version is by the band UB40 :) Have a GREAT day, LJ!:)
from tattoobelly :
You've been so sweet to leave me notes, and I just wanted to tell you that, although I am lazy and don't leave notes as often as I should, I always enjoy your diary entries. And I'm glad you stood up for yourself with the boss--WOO!
from impetuousme :
well, in the story I posted yesterday, he got to the dessert by walking from Salt Lake City, south of the lake, across the mountains and then into the desert basin. and as for the camera, no, i've not been posting the pics anywhere, just sending a few here and there to people who ask.
from pilotmom :
Ah, yes, lush grass! I can remember after moving into our first home, that summer was 104 F for like a week straight. We had no air conditioning and no grass...saving our pennies. I was babysitting 2 small children along with our son and dear hubby came home and found us all sitting within inches of our big box fan. What a sight! He told me he thought we should take our grass money and buy the cooler. It was the best decision we made even though I had to wait longer to get rid of my dirt! Eventually the Lord provided by a single gal in our church who wanted to get rid of her beautiful lawn and make a much bigger garden area. She gave us the sod for free if hubby and friends would come cut it and transport it our yard. Voila! Instant sod lawn! What a blessing!
from breatheasigh :
ah i love the feeling of lush thick grass under my feet in summer or laying in it under the stars..congratulations :)
from lindzeeleigh :
YAY for new green grass. I do love putting my toes into grass!
from on-a-string :
Oh! By the way! This is Beth from thisismywish. I've moved, but you can access my new diary with the same username and password:) -Beth
from on-a-string :
Yay for grass in your front yard!!!:)
from dinahsoar :
Thank you so much. I love it that our date is your parents' date! Thank you for sharing that with me and for celebrating my joy!
from breatheasigh :
i stayed for the ride too..sounds like you had a wonderful time :)
from pilotmom :
I stayed for the ride and what a ride it was! I'm glad you had a terrific time! Spur of the moment times are great with good friends, aren't they?
from thisismywish :
:) Tough times...I know how you feel:)
from breatheasigh :

from thisismywish :

from thisismywish :
I will, LJ. Thank you!!!:) -Beth
from evelena72 :
I had more fun than could be imagined! Next season we are doing 7 brides for 7 brothers. Cool huh?
from lindzeeleigh :
Happy Easter LJ!! :) Here is a fun link you might enjoy : http://letstalkgilmore.blogspot.com/ One of my friends writes it and she is an avid fan!!
from pilotmom :
I'm a Generous Analyst...Hmmmm? I'm glad to hear the job is going well. I've been praying for your adjustment to be smooth. Change is not my most favorite thing either. :)
from dinahsoar :
Hi Mugs! Thanks for reading and for your kind words. It's great to be back!
from lindzeeleigh :
Who doesn't like sleeping in?? I am looking forward to it and more naps! Also, GG tonight! YAY. :)
from thisismywish :
Oh, thank you for those words of encouragement! I really needed them today.
from breatheasigh :
i didn't mention that bit did i? must of been because i was enjoying my chocolate..yes he was cute..well everything in a guy that i call cute anyhow :) but i'm not going to go rushing back to buy more chocolate and get his number because i'm still on my anti relationship road ;o)..oh and of course because i'm saving myself for ricky (tee hee)
from breatheasigh :
i assume you mean dressing gown when you say housecoat..i do have one of those..somewhere ;o) ..good news on the jobfront..congratulations :)
from pilotmom :
Oh, pookey woo, is snuggims just a teensy weensy bit.... ;D Praise the Lord about the new postion! I'll put a date answered by that one, thank you kindly! :) Now, we'll see how everything is in 3 months. Good for you, LJ! Praise His Name!
from evelena72 :
I forwarded this to all of my friends, thanks for the chuckle!
from thisismywish :
Ha! Not married, but that's cute:)
from pilotmom :
I praise God for His faithfulness in answering prayer! Hallelujah! What a privilege it has been to pray for you during this situation. Thank you for letting me be a part of your life! :) Blessings on your day....
from lindzeeleigh :
We chatted today and you didn't mention anything about your job - details please! :)
from lindzeeleigh :
I have seen that show before too, and it is very interesting. Love the pics and thanks for the birthday wish! Even belated ones are welcome. :)
from breatheasigh :
first of all thank you for the tip on viewing your photo's..i am glad i did as i enjoyed looking over them..i had to go back in you entries and see if it WAS you that wrote an entry on turning 44..and how a co-worker said you looked older..and yes it WAS you..and i would like to say that your co-worker needs glasses because there is no way i would say you were 46 and i don't even think you look 44..i would have put you as being around 38..definatly not over 40..and by the way..you have beautiful eyes..thanks again :)
from thisismywish :
Oh gosh! I miss the Amazing Race! I quit watching TV because I was so obsessed with it! My whole family decided that having it on all day was too much, so we got rid of TV about two years ago. That is the ONLY thing I miss...REALITY TV!
from breatheasigh :
sounds like you had a good time :) and yep sometimes becoming physicaly exhausted is better than mental erosion.. i can't seem to get your flicker to work..maybe i'm just doing it wrong..hope you had a nice rest hugs
from godsong :
Hey LJ! How are you? I hope that you'll still come and visit me occasionally at my new blog - I've moved...I still read you regularly and pray for you often! God bless!
from breatheasigh :
thank you for the message :) (yep i'm still alive) the move does sound exciting and sometimes a change does us the world of good..i moved away from a city i had lived in all my life to start a new life a couple of years after leaving my husband..just my boys and i ..it was scary..but definatly no regret :)..good luck with the decision making..hugs
from pilotmom :
LJ, I imagine if hubby went to work in CA, in that field, he would make enough to support the two of you! :) You would actually be getting closer! Maybe that would mean we could actually meet sometime! :) I don't like change either, but, I LOVE to move! The new beginning, when we don't know anyone, is my favorite time. Hubby and I are so close and we go "exploring", getting our bearings, sightseeing, etc. It's a fun time for me. I guess it comes from growing up in a military family. We moved every 3-4 years on average.
from myownjourney :
That is so weird. I even see the pen is still with it. Very cool. Kind of sureal even. Weird to think its going to S. Africa....... And by the way, you need to email me because I lost your email address and I have something for you. :)
from the-ordinary :
yikes, that's too bad about your birthday. pretty much everything seems to have gone as badly as possible. i am not sure where i am going with this comment, but so far i don't seem to be helping at all. at least you got nachos and cake! i love nachos and cake! and i'm always surprised when people actually say that they think you're older than you are. it just seems like a situation in which it is a good idea to keep one's mouth closed. the other day someone told me that i was a lot younger than she thought i was. i was like, "oh. ok?" it was weird because the person that said it is actually a lot older than i thought she was, but i never told her that because i thought it might be rude. [and yes, it was that john denver/george burns movie that i watched. i'd never seen it before, but i was in a john denver kind of a mood.]
from evelena72 :
I hope you have a nice stay in the cabin...what I wouldn't give for a few days away in a cabin... I am sorry you had an icky day on your birthday, but it sounds like your hubby stepped up and made it special for you... **HUGS**
from pilotmom :
I don't do well with "odd" number birthdays...41, 43, 53 (my next one--ugh!). So I know what you mean about the "5's". Sorry it was a 'rough go' for your day. Could have been worse...at least your hubby took you out somewhere! :) After 40, you're just glad to be celebrating! Lol!
from myownjourney :
LJ, all you need to do is create a free account at cafepress.com and then it will guide you through uploading and image with MugWhump on it. They sell the ones you create at cost. And I know the prices are pretty damn high.... if you need any help just email me. :)
from lindzeeleigh :
I am sorry you had sucha crappy better. Here's to hoping the rest of the week is better. Happy Belated Birthday!! Sending big hugs your way!
from breatheasigh :
"I seem to have a penchant for wanting to be whisked away. Secret Cinderella dreams I suppose"..sigh..me too! Sorry things did not go as you would of liked for your birthday..thank you for the message in my guestbook..hugs :)
from rufusmonk :
Happy way-belated birthday LJ! I wish it had gone better, but we'll just have to work at making the other 364 days completely awesome!
from myownjourney :
LJ, I'm so sorry. I forgot to wish you a happy birthday. Happy Birthday LJ! ..... :) Sorry it didn't go the way you wanted. Next time I'm up in Canada, I will buy you and the hubby a dinner at the fanciest McDonalds they have up there ..... ;)
from impetuousme :
thanks for the note. and, i know exactly what you mean about that story. this whole topic is mostly taboo, you know?
from shadesofblk :
Happy Belated Birthday!
from evelena72 :
Wow...I have seen your pictures on flickr and you DO NOT look 46 (or 44 for that matter!!) I hope you had a wonderful day nonetheless...
from pilotmom :
Well, maybe she didn't mean you LOOKED 46 but rather you ACTED so wise and mature, she just naturally assumed you were 46...one can always hope.... ;) I'm glad you had a good day! I prayed for you off and on today! :)
from lindzeeleigh :
Have a most lovely birthday!! if I could I would send you a new episode of GG for your birthday, but alas, you will have to wait until April for that! p.s. You do NOT look 46!!! Silly woman.
from godsong :
Happy Birthday!!!! Hope you had a fabulous day!
from breatheasigh :
aww i thought i'd be the first darnit lol..well according to our time differences..in one hour and fourty five minutes it will be your birthday..but i'm far too tired to wait up till then so i will wish you a very happy birthday now..i hope you have a wonderful day..even though technically it's not for another 24hrs where you are..so i guess i will come back and do it again for your time ;o) happy birthday!
from pilotmom :
By my time, and I think by your time, it is now your birthday. I hope I'm the first one to wish you a Happy Birthday! At least in writing! ;) Hope your day is filled to overflowing with blessings from above! :)
from breatheasigh :
sounds like a lovely weekend had by all..and aren't friendships like that the best :) ..i really loved how you said "and especially fun when you see it all new again through someones fresh vision." that is so true..have a wonderful day :)
from lindzeeleigh :
What a lovely weekend with lovely friends. That is so nice to hear about. Is there a new GG tomorrow night???
from evelena72 :
I think it is wonderful that you have kept a friendship for so long...that is amazing. I hope that I am as lucky as you to keep a friend for that amount of time in my life.
from lindzeeleigh :
YAY for March Birthdays!! Mine is on the 25. I turn 25 on the 25th this year, so that is kind of fun! I hope you had a great weekend. What did you think of GG? Can't wait for tomorrow to watch again.
from evelena72 :
glad u r feeling better! Can't wait to read your new entries!
from breatheasigh :
i guess you just have to go with what's in your heart and or what feels right..change is a scary thing for the most part but it can also be the best thing..i sent you an email with something in it for you..it was too big to put in here) i hope you enjoy it as much as i did :)..is working in australia to far to commute? ;o)
from pilotmom :
O eternal God, I lift up my sister before Your holy throne of grace. Strenghten her, Lord, for what is ahead over the next several weeks. May she only do and say what is honoring to You. Lord, I ask that You would increase her stamina so she would not be so tired, direct her thoughts so she would not be so muddled. And, Lord, lift her spirits so she can praise You! Thank You, Lord. May You be glorified through this whole ordeal. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
from lindzeeleigh :
Of course I watched GG the other night. I can't believe that Rory and Lofgan broke up, but I also can't believe he slept with all those other girls. holy cow!! And as for Lorelai spending time with Chris and his daughter, that seemed to echo about what Lorelai was not doing with Luke's daughter. So much happened in that episode! It was good!
from evelena72 :
400??? OMG! That is amazing!
from breatheasigh :
happy 400th :)
from lindzeeleigh :
Love the limerick!! Awesome. :)
from rufusmonk :
Wow, 400 already. Happy blogiversary!
from myownjourney :
Congrats on 400, Ms. Whump. :)
from breatheasigh :
i'm terrible for changing my bedroom around..i think i've done it at least 4 times since i've been in this house and i've only been here 3 months lol..apparently that means restlessness in your love life..well duh i don't have a love life..no wonder lol
from evelena72 :
It's times like these when I wish I had cable!
from pilotmom :
Like you, I love to change my furniture around! Now that you have finished the first room, I think pics are in order! :)
from breatheasigh :
but i like your idea *pouts* lol
from myownjourney :
Yeah, whaddya gonna do? Angels always beat out Dorks. :) Ms. Matchmaker.
from breatheasigh :
lol thank you!..and it's WHEN i make it there..not IF..i've decided from now on i am throwing *if* out of the window when it comes to my overseas travelling..if i say *when* then it will happen.. (throws herself on the floor and begs the universe to let this be true) lol
from breatheasigh :
ermm sorry to bombard your notes lol..just wanted to say i'm glad you are feeling better and have a wonderful weekend :)
from breatheasigh :
oh and i never actually thought about telling a few lies to get a free ticket across the puddle..that would save me with this whole saving money thing to get to america and canada lol..NO..i am kidding..i wouldn't do that..i've been saving for my trip and i will get there eventually..but a free bed would be nice lol
from breatheasigh :
aww shux thank you for what you said in your journal and my guestbook :) *tee hee hee's* @ the whole aussiegirl & new mexicoguy thing..this is all very cute and funny..for me anyhow..not too sure how he feels about the whole jovial thing..i guess i will find out today when i call him..NOW don't get all excited..it's just a phone call lol..and it's only happening because i was being brattie after reading a *who is* about him where somone asked his phone number and he put the first 6 digits in and said if you can guess rah rah..so i guessed..and you know what..i actually got 3 out of 4 numbers right..i just had them around the wrong way..but he gave me his number anyhow ;o)..obviously he isn't too upset about the whole thing huh? lol hugs girlie
from thisismywish :
Yes! Way to be positive! Tomorrow will be amazing!
from toastcrumbs :
Hello, here's hoping your Friday will be filled with fun. Thanks for the note - I'm around, just not in a writing mood I suppose. :)
from pilotmom :
His mercies are new every morning! :) Here's to better days!
from lindzeeleigh :
I am hoping you have a better day tomorrow. :) My thoughts are with you. And tomorrow is FRIDAY! YAY for weekends. And next week there will be a new Gilmore Girls! I am listening to "This is the Air I Breathe" and it is really good and comforting. If you have not heard it, you should check it out. :)
from godsong :
Praying for you!
from thisismywish :
Hey, LJ! Yes! My e-mail is atarifish at yahoo dot com. Hear from you soon!:) Have a sweet evening! -Beth
from breatheasigh :
you are very welcome..and thank you..i'm glad you are not going to delete your entry..thats the beauty of a journal..to go back and look and see and feel where we were :)
from lindzeeleigh :
Where are the Gilmore Girls? That is two weeks without a new episode for me because I missed last week. How sad. :( I liked your entry with bible verse today. Thanks for sharing. :)
from breatheasigh :
i can relate to alot of what you are saying..i'm not all that happy in my job and feel as though i could be doing more..helping more people..i also HAVE to work because it's just myself and my boys..my ex husband does not pay child support so i have no choice..i do enjoy working though and would hate to sit around all day doing nothing..it challenges me and gives me experience with people from all walks of life..i just feel as though i am not reaching my full potential and giving enough..but there is nothing more i can do where i am..i'm heading towards finding another job..all the best and good luck with your choice..hugs from across the puddle :)
from evelena72 :
Oh sweetie...this is the hardest thing to go through. I went through this at the end of 2004 and ended up leaving my job. It was hard at first, of course I didn't have as many obstacles as you do, but it ended up working out in the end...I love my job now and I am pretty happy (except for all the shit that has happened in the last 2 weeks) but my job keeps me going. I wish you the best of luck, I know it can't be easy dealing with what you are, just know that I am thinking of you and hoping it all works out for the best! *hugs* Melissa
from pilotmom :
Me thinks I will email you! :D
from breatheasigh :
hi :) ..thanks for the message in my guestbook and it certianly made me giggle..very cute..i won't tell him of course..i mean a girl never tells another girls secret right? ;o) ..who knows when i go to america at the end of the year..if i go (that money thing)..i might just wander down to new mexico lol..i hope you don't mind but i have added you to my favourites..i have ment to read you before as your username certianly jumped out and grabbed me so to speak..but never got around to it..i have done some reading tonight and will be back for more :)..have a great day..becka
from pilotmom :
Hmmm, who's the railway buff? You or hubby? :)
from godsong :
Thanks for the laugh! It made my day!
from myownjourney :
Sorry, didn't mean to ruin it. She was the first person I thought of when you said that because I knew you read her blog also. Sorry. :( I promise not be a "smarty" again. :)
from myownjourney :
That's cool, about the journal I mean. I was figuring it would knock around the states and canada. Was it Messy Christian (Liz) you sent it to? Anyway, I appreciate you taking the time to do that. Thanks.
from evelena72 :
Color copiers/printers rock. We have a small one in my office and we have so much fun with it! Enjoy it while you can!
from pilotmom :
Hmmm, expectations....I think it is possible to live without expectations....when one has 'expectations' then the person is focusing on themselves and what would make them happy/content/loved etc...rather than focusing on the other person and what would THEY like to do/or enjoy/or want/ or desire...etc. It takes a determined will and discipline to put the other first. But, in the long run...oh baby, the benefits are TREMENDOUS!!! :) I don't know if this helps you or frustrates you, LJ. I hope it doesn't frustrate...that's not my intention. I will tell you that I used to have tremendous expectations and I never verbalized them so how was my dear precious hubby to know? He is fabulous but he can't read minds 100% of the time! After 30+ years of marriage I can say the 'expectations' are much less. Hang on to that hubby of yours! He is definitely a keeper! :)
from pilotmom :
Well, I don't want to pop your bubble but after 30 years of marriage I still have quite a bit of what I like to call 'early married' furniture, rather than 'goodwill'. :) Of course, I have added to it so it isn't all early married...well, except...I did inherit my grandparents rocking chair which was given to them for their wedding...and it's over 100 years old. So, see, it would still be classified as early married! Ha! Happy Valentine's Day, Friend!
from myownjourney :
Hey LJ, I hope you have a happy valentines.... you deserve one.
from evelena72 :
hey hey hey~! Just dropping by to say hi!
from thisismywish :
Yay! Score on the books! I must say, I do slightly envy you. I need some new ones:)
from evelena72 :
Thank you thank you....it has been a rough week, but i have my vagina monologues performances tomorrow and Tuesday! Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. *hugs*
from pilotmom :
I love your answer to #2! Plastic spoons for plastic friends. I pray you have a terrific weekend!
from thisismywish :
Yeah, I agree with the whole "don't quit everything" thing. But, it's time to go a whole new direction:) And heck, as my grandfather used to say, "Cast your fate to the wind." Quit. Lol:) Have a great day!
from brdwaybebe :
What a fabulous idea! I shall work on my husband list!!!
from lindzeeleigh :
you don't like Scrabble?!?!?! *gasp!*. I can't believe it! :P
from pilotmom :
LJ, you may want to check out a couple of posts over at Hey Jules' place: http://faithorfiction.blogspot.com/ in which she has done some research into Lent. I think it would apply to children, or at least be very easy to convert to a child's understanding. Now, on to important issues...Scrabble? You don't like Scrabble? And here I thought we were so 'simpatico'! I love Scrabble! My only problem is I don't get to play enough. And, I usually don't win...*sigh* such is life...
from thisismywish :
Yes! Wow, I totally thought I e-mailed you and we had this long conversation about it. I don't know...maybe it was a dream. I hope I'm not the only dlander that dreams abotu other dlanders. What e-mail shall I e-mail it to you? I really want you to continue!:)
from pilotmom :
They're "stylin'", Sistah!!! ;p I'm telling you that you have the prettiest blue eyes! Wow! Mine are blue but much darker. *sigh* If you ever run out of people to call (even if you don't) you can call me! :) email me and I'll give you my phone number! Gayla and I over at Journey of the Heart talk fairly often. It's fun to get to know people better! Go knock 'em dead with your new specs!
from rufusmonk :
Your new specs look great! New glasses always make for a difficult choice, but you chose very well.
from evelena72 :
LJ, the procedure went well...painful and uncomfortable but well. Thank you for your well wishes and prayers, I really appreciate it. Much love, Mel
from thisismywish :
Oh my gosh! I think they rock! I need to go get new glasses, and I was thinking I wanted a pair almot exactly like those. That rocks. You have very pretty eyes by the way:) -Beth
from lindzeeleigh :
Cute new glasses! And I love all the pictures you took. Lovely!! :) What phone company did you switch to, Shaw?
from brdwaybebe :
Hi! Actually yes! God told me a few years ago he was calling me to do Evangelism so I'm training up and waiting for the "Go!" I would definitely love to go to Bible School! We'll see where He leads!!
from pilotmom :
Sorry you are under the weather! Migraines are never fun. It's been over 5 years now since I had one! PTL! :D For us, we watch E-Ring, then Lost, and finally Invasion. All pretty much 'no meat' but it does okay for us since we veg this one night. :)
from twinsie :
Wow, that journal sounds really cool what an amazing thing to receive at the end of the journey! And man, what a good weekend you chose to write in it, the weather was so nuts yesterday! I spent the day playing ping pong in an effort to avoid going outside.
from chickie-legs :
hey I forget your email, can you email me at [email protected] and I'll send you my snail mail address? :)
from lindzeeleigh :
I like that paper travelling journal. That is a very neat idea! If you were to start one up, I would definitely write an entry for you. and you already have my address!! Hehe. :) Hope you had a good weekend and that you are looking forward to a new GG on Tuesday!
from dinahsoar :
Thanks! No, I'm not leaving Diaryland. You'll hear more, but in a more "day to day" than story fashion.
from pilotmom :
I didn't like that movie either. Myself? I thought it was really quite depressing. I'm sorry you are losing one of your girls. Those hugs ARE special, aren't they? I'm always so gratified when the young ones come up to me and give me a hug or two! :D
from toastcrumbs :
I love cat pictures too. Anytime my cat is doing something cute, I have to run and get the camera. I am not sure why exactly I feel the need to have 37,489 pictures of my cat on my hard drive, but I just do. Oh and your note yesterday when you asked what was on my cat's whiskers, I thought oh crap, what IS on his whiskers? But then I realized it was just his ratty collar showing up behind the whiskers. So . . . Happy Friday to you too!! And I'm jealous that you woke up not tired - I woke up the exact opposite. That would be SO TIRED.
from ladyloo :
Would you hate me if you knew I voted Green? ;)
from dinahsoar :
Whatever is a "meme"? I've been wanting to ask someone for a long time. I run across the word every now and then but don't have a clue. P.S. What's "lol" - lots of love?
from twinsie :
Great entry today! I'm sure I have a million quirks but it's hard to think of them on the spot. The one that drives me crazy is whenever I find something really really funny I cry. Tears just roll out of my eyes so now my friends use that as a guage of how funny something is. It drives me nuts! But I can't help it.
from pilotmom :
*laughing* I HAVE to pull out ALL those obnoxious coupons/ads stuck in any magazine BEFORE I ever begin to read it! Now, the brushing of the teeth in warm water...ewwww! Are your teeth sensitive? Usually that's why people brush with warm water. Another of mine is I HAVE to have a fan going when I sleep. My poor hubby has to have sleep in a long sleeve shirt etc and has the blankets piled up on his side of the bed. :P Lol! Those little idio..things keep life interesting.
from the-ordinary :
heh, i always eat all of the foods i don't like first too! once a housemate commented on the fact that i ate all of the peas out of some fried rice before actually eating the rice. it was because i wanted to be able to take a big bite of rice without having to worry about peas getting in my way. and actually, this seems to make a lot of sense. we are smart people!
from pilotmom :
Hey, girlfriend, even though I'm south of your border, I'm a conservative too! :D Just remember that it says in Daniel that it is God himself who puts the leaders in office and takes them out. I am constantly reminding myself of this whenever a very liberal gets elected to office.
from myownjourney :
Great pictures LJ. Especially of your wedding. That's awesome. :)
from pilotmom :
I LOVE the pics! When did you and hubby get married? My hubby and I love to play games too! I'm so glad you posted pics because now I can put a face (and a great smile) to the writings! :P
from dinahsoar :
Happy weekend to you, too, Mugsy! What a cheery entry! Thanks!
from toastcrumbs :
That travel journal thing sounds so cool. Very neat idea. Sorry you couldn't see my shoes - I just bought a new gold membership today, so try this link and maybe you can see: http://toastcrumbs.diaryland.com/images/katespadecamel.jpg And Miami is about 4 1/2 hours from Tampa so it's not a *HUGE* move, but still exciting nonetheless. Looking forward to going to a large city - Tampa seems quite small by comparison. Happy Thursday to you too!!!
from pilotmom :
Oh, I do sympathize with you on not being able to sleep. That's tough. Maybe it isn't the dreaded M just yet...maybe it's more stress? Could that be a possibility? I went through the Mpause in my early 30's. ACK! It took me forever to finally believe I really was. Lol! I was trying so desperately to get pregnant again I kept refusing to believe them telling me I wasn't PG just Mpausal! LOL!
from pilotmom :
Blush, blush! All I can say is that I get them from other blogs...they don't originate with me! Thanks for taking the time to do it. I always enjoy finding out some new tidbit about my blogging friends. :)
from myownjourney :
Well, a "lurker" is someone who reads your blog but never leaves any comment or notes letting you know they were there. So, "de-lurking" is basically dropping a note to say you stopped by.
from the-ordinary :
i thought i left you a note after you left that first message in my guestbook! but i don't see it here so maybe i am just prematurely senile. anyway, i've been writing in my livejournal (http://www.livejournal.com/users/covert_prestige), but basically all i do there is complain about how much i dislike school. and i'm not sure why i stopped writing in my diaryland. or if i've stopped writing there entirely. or anything.
from pilotmom :
Sounds like a fun way to begin your weekend! I have to tell you that I sure laughed about the "minor" disagreement between your hubby and you. We had a 'discussion' which lasted 6 hours about who would turn off the light one night, years ago. It wasn't funny at the time but it is hysterical now. I'm glad we've 'matured' since then! Lol!! :D
from lindzeeleigh :
"Rain, rain go away....Come again abother day, Little Mugwhump wants to play so rain, rain go away!" I sang a little no rain song for you. I hope it helps!! :)
from dinahsoar :
How 'bout a poem about mermaids?
from dinahsoar :
Rain is so romantic and poetic, ne ce pas?
from normaltoilet :
Wow, thanks! I think my flickr is a mess, but it's more because i think i have too many things and they all overlap in content so i never know where to put them! I wish there was a way to make sets within your sets you know?
from dinahsoar :
Thanks! Glad to BE back!
from lindzeeleigh :
We simply just don't use a top sheet! Ben says he alwys gets tangled in them and finds them annoying. I say, okay then.....doesn't really bother me. :P We also have an ongoing debate about the shower curtain - open or closed? I say closed! Hehe. GG TONIGHT!!
from ladyloo :
I believe the first book in the series is simply called Artemis Fowl. The Opal Deception is the fourth in the series. They're fine YA reads that I like to pick up when I need something light.
from lindzeeleigh :
I liked this entry. I do hope we can view each day as a little miracle and look forward to the next with anticipation. As well as thank God for each one of them. Thanks for sharing. :)
from myownjourney :
Indeed. Much sense. Thanks you.
from twinsie :
Happy New Year LJ! I just got back from Ireland and am trying to catch up on everyone's lives. :) Feel free to link to my new blog if you'd like. Cheers, leora
from lindzeeleigh :
Hope you are feeling better!!! :)
from thisismywish :
Hey, LJ! How was your New Year's? I hope it was wonderful! Hey, is Boxing Day a Canadian holiday? If so, what is that holiday all about? I suppose I could just google it, but I thought I'd ask you instead!:)
from impetuousme :
hey, thanks for the comment you left. I had a great two weeks. Hope your holidays have been wonderful as well. --Sam
from candoor :
hope you feel better son (I went through that the week before Xmas)... and Merry Happy New Year... may 2006 bring you and your lovd ones the best feelings and experiences you've ever known :)
from myownjourney :
Happy New Years LJ! I hope it's everything you want it to be. :)
from evelena72 :
Have a wonderful new year, and I hope you feel better! I know how it is to be one of the only people in the building...it sucks...have a good one!
from godsong :
I got my card today. I feel so special! Thanks so much - I've not done mine yet - hopefully before weeks end! Have a blessed Christmas!
from thisismywish :
Thanks for the birthday wish! Yeah, I actually think I'm going to look for something like that pale blue dress. It's gorgeous! BTW, did you read the bottom part where I said I was kidding about the purple dress?:) Have a great day, LJ!:) -Beth
from toastcrumbs :
I love the logic of thinking that someone stole his credit card, purchased items, and then had the items sent to his house because it sounds like something my brother would believe.
from lostinmylove :
Hey there! Just letting you know I just sent you an email! I hope you are having a good day!
from ladyloo :
Thanks so much for reading! And thanks for the offer of a Chrsitmas card, but I won't make you go to the trouble.
from the-ordinary :
this morning when i walked to work the temperature was -3!
from twinsie :
Hey, thanks for checking up on me! :) I've pretty much moved over to my new blog which you can find here: http://lorlaspage.blogspot.com/ Good luck with getting your comments up and running! I can see it's driving you CRAZY not having them. :)
from myownjourney :
Horseshack was the dude you were referring to I believe. And I wish I could have been more help to ya getting the comments set up. Sorry. But hey..... HOLLA!
from lindzeeleigh :
Your Christmas card will hopefully arrive before Christmas. I have written in it and addressed it, I just need to go out and buy stamps!!!!
from dinahsoar :
Hi, Mugsy. Just "hi".
from evelena72 :
I added you to my favorites list! Thanks for the great read!
from laura405 :
Yes, I've slowly floated further and further away from diaryland, at first I was still reading other people's entries and now I can't even manage that. I'm uber busy with university and boyfriend and work and even when I have time to write down my happennings and thoughts the prospect of doing it so exhausts me that I collapse before I enter a single word. You know what that's like? when you have so much to say but you can't seem to put it into words. So yes, I miss it dearly but it is just impossible right now:( I maintain a much more respectful level of updating on my flickr pictures though site as it is much easier so pop in to see what I'm up to! Hope everything is well! -Laura Jane
from impetuousme :
yeah, we wondered about the pea vs p-coat thing too, so we looked it up. and as you found, both seem to be acceptable. but did YOU find that the original p-coat was from the navy, and the "p" stodd for pilot? and that it meant a boat pilot, not a captain and not a plane pilot. So, there you go, way more, than you wanted to KNOW. heh. that's probably cause it's monday... have a goodie good one.. ---sam
from impetuousme :
I wish I was getting a DDC zepher, it sounds like all kinds of fun. Enough to amuse me no end. Also, Gary Glitter was a pop star way back in the day. And good to see you like Calssico TOO. Have a GREAT weekend with the ladies. --- Sam
from candoor :
I hope to see Harry Potter tomorrow,,, I almost went today, but I'm waiting for friends :)
from brdwaybebe :
Yes it was my page! Thanks! All better!
from normaltoilet :
actually, american turkey-day is next weekend
from normaltoilet :
yeah I don't know if you'll like this answer either... caffeine and nicotine :) NT
from impetuousme :
thanks
from impetuousme :
You are absolutely right. Getting kicked out of that awful school school was one of the good things. If only it could have made up for what my father did to me later. Sigh. Anyway, thanks, and yeah, you'd think nuns and priets would be NICE. fagetaboutit. . --Sam
from thisismywish :
1. You are Canadian 2. I'm Gonna Be - The Proclaimers (they sound Canadian and the song makes me happy like reading your diary) 3. Watermelon 4. I can't think of anything here 5. You sent me a note teasing me about some person of the male gender and I can't even remember who it was! 6. A...chimpanzee...because you're one of the more intelligent of all the creatures. 7. What does LJ stand for? 8. Your turn!
from dinahsoar :
Thanks, Mugsy, for your prayers.
from impetuousme :
hey, thanks for the note asking... uh, why am i fasting? for two reasons. 1) to lose weight 2) to gain some control over my life. As for what to do with ten year old girls. My wife teaches fifth grade ya know, so my suggestion would be to just ask them. They know what they like, what they don't etc. Why not come up with ideas with them, instead of for them. They are quite capable by this age. Hope that helps. Take care, ---Sam
from dinahsoar :
Thanks for your note, Mugs. I've been kind of "hit and miss" about reading and writing lately - but I'm getting back on track. Thanks for continuing to read my stuff.
from candoor :
I never knew Barbie had a religion :)
from godsong :
Hey LJ - I just wanted to leave a quick hi! Hope all is well - don't let those 10 year olds fool you - they love coloring! God bless!
from catie-dids :
Ha-freakin-larious! Barbie Bibles. . .I can barely control myself!!!
from thisismywish :
That's so sweet! Ya gotta love this kiddos.
from dinahsoar :
Thank you for your sensitive response to my entries about my father and for so openly sharing your painful experience and the mysteries left unresolved. I appreciate your reading my stuff and your thoughtful observations. On a lighter note - I really enjoyed your Forrest Gump Goes To Heaven!
from dinahsoar :
Happy anniversary from a Gilmore Girls nut! The opening of the new season was GREAT - I'm sure you'll enjoy it. That show, rather than running out of plots, is actually picking up speed!
from myownjourney :
So I have a favor. Do you think you would be interested in guest-blogging for me on monday? Email me if you think you wouldn't mind. [email protected] - thanks LJ
from myownjourney :
Thanks so much Lj. I love that verse. And I love hearing from you too. :)
from myownjourney :
Happy 300th! Go you.
from dinahsoar :
Mugsy, I am a complete Gilmore-maniac. It's my favorite show and I can't wait to see if Lorelei marries Luke (what's your bet?). Some of my other favorites are Everwood and 7th Heaven (kind of sugary at times, but oh well). I loved Joan of Arcadia and am very sad that it was cancelled.
from myownjourney :
They'd be lucky to have youaround, you "abundant package of love" you. ;)
from twinsie :
The trip sounds fabulous! Thanks for sharing it!
from dinahsoar :
I stand in awe! (or, I should say, I sit in awe - I'm a bit of a couch potato)
from dinahsoar :
Wow, Mugs! You are quite the adventurer! Motorcycles. Rock festivals! Good to know how much fun a Christian can have! I love Mercy Me. "I Can Only Imagine" is one of my favorite songs. I'm so glad you had such a great & inspiring time. Wish I could have been there!
from dinahsoar :
Welcome back, Muggy! You've been missed!
from thisismywish :
I'm back at TIMW:)
from dinahsoar :
Hi Mugs! I like your rambling entry today. It's kind of James Joyce as Canuck. And, yes, I'm one of those who do often "sit a spell" & do not always leave my footprints.
from nonannies :
I've never understood the english language- I just find myself dealing with it instead. Anyhow, I came to tell you I'd moved to a now non-secretive location. http://www.livejournal.com/users/ilvthebeatles Have a nice day, LJ! -Beth
from tattoobelly :
I before E except after C, or when sounded like A, as in "neighbor or weigh", but "their", "weird", and "either", "foreign", "seize", "neither", "leisure", "forfeit", and "height" are exceptions spelled right. I'm just saying.
from galaxy :
hi mug! bewitched was GREAT! i didn't give it a bad review!
from dinahsoar :
Hi Mugs! Just in case you don't read my entry today (but you'd better!), I'm going to Hawaii for a week & won't be posting again until Friday, 7/22. So ... take care & I'll write you on my return.
from normaltoilet :
I don't imagine Golden is that big, but my brother used to work in a cafe there and i wonder if it's the same one? hehe small world
from dinahsoar :
Thanks for understanding, Mugs.
from dinahsoar :
I wish I was at the Tall Ships Festival.
from dinahsoar :
I'm too antisocial to take the test! Guess that means I don't need the test!
from dinahsoar :
Good to know! I paid good money for that morning glory "weed". It is really intrusive, though. It has taken over a neighbor's tree & has encroached on several of my rose bushes. The reason I like it so much is because it reminds me of my childhood. I think I mention them in an earlier entry "Hollywood Rant". We had a beautiful hedge of them all around the yard. They did attract those horrible giant black bees, which would send me squealing into the house. Still, I love 'em!
from dinahsoar :
Let's see ... things that bring a smile to my face. Okay. How 'bout birds in a birdbath, Drew Barrymore's crooked smile and slight lisp, chips & salsa and morning glories.
from dinahsoar :
Hi Mugs! Don't worry ... I'm thinkin' novel! I'm nowhere NEAR done! Thanks for your comment!
from normaltoilet :
I'd say I'm the electronic age's version of a hermit. a ranaissance hermit perhaps :P NT
from dinahsoar :
Okay, Mugs, so just for you I did this test (resistant as I was & computer-shy,too). I came out "INFJ" actualized type, "ENFP" preferred type and "INFP" attraction type. So, okay, Ms.Jung, what's it all about?
from thisismywish :
Woohoo! Third note in a row. I promise I'm not a stalker:) I just wanted to thank you for your encouraging words on my notes page. Thank you. Have an excellent day!
from thisismywish :
Sorry that link didn't work. I'll just tell you I chose the word "motherly". None of the pictures I am picking are working. *sigh*
from thisismywish :

from dinahsoar :
Mugs. FOR REAL! I. CAN'T. FOLLOW. INSTRUCTIONS. No, really. I do appoggiatura the email, but it was INCOMPREHENSIBLE. It was like the instructions in Dutch that come with unassembled furniture from Ikea. No, really. Anyway, I do appoggiatura for my inability to complete the test or game or whatever the appoggiatura it was. Please forgive me. By the way, I looked up that word and, either it doesn't exist or it's just a Canadian thing or my dictionary is messing with me.
from thisismywish :
I am locking up. UN: what PW: ever
from dinahsoar :
Hi Mugs! As you know, I'm WAY too low tech to figure out how to do that little test. But I CAN tell you that, when I think of you, I think of honesty, warmth and support.
from normaltoilet :
that whole evening after the shirtless-kirk incident I had uncontrolable shaking and kept making a "BLEEEECH" sound!!!
from thisismywish :
Thanks...you seem rather spunky yourself. (Us spunky people, we should start an elite club or something and stick together)
from thisismywish :
LJ- I hope your doing well. I just wanted to drop in and tell you that I've been praying for you. I appreciate that you read my diary. Thanks!:)
from normaltoilet :
I think I found you through a comment you left on Galaxy's page or something and your name just reeled me in! plus then I realized you're a Canuck-chick too! Yay!
from dinahsoar :
I took the personality test the other day (don't remember on who's diary) & it came out very much like yours. What a surprise, huh?
from dinahsoar :
Hi, Mugs! My hobby is Diaryland and I honestly don't know what I ever did without it. My new friends (you being a MAJOR one) are awesome and REALLY know me in a way that even my family (I know it's kinda sad, but it's just simply true) do not. I thank you for being there.
from dinahsoar :
Hey Mugster! American Memorial day is for celebrating the sacrifices made by soldiers for their country. I think alot of Americans have actually forgotten what it stands for & just look forward to the barbeques, etc. I'm not one to turn down a barbeque myself, but it's good to remember why we get the day off. Thanks for asking.
from impetuousme :
yeah, it was complete fiction. but thanks for the note. that sort of thing really makes my day. as for YOU. Well, i'm guessing this is the sort of news that sinks in over time. good luck, and take care. Thanks, sam
from dinahsoar :
Hi, my beautiful friend Muggy. You are completely normal. As you have been reading in my entries, I have faced many of the same issues and have experience a palette of emotional colors that still change from time to time. It is certainly normal to feel a sense of loss. And, since it is a loss of potential - kind of a 'virtual' loss, it is difficult to grieve for the very reasons you are expressing. On the one hand, it is all too real. On the other, you question your right to feel it. Adoption is a wonderful thing (as you know from my entries), but it is okay to allow yourself all the range of feelings that will arrive in between this diagnosis and that decision (if that is what you choose). I also understand your feelings about your husband's response. I know I needed a great deal of reassurance from mine and became very insecure for awhile. There was also that weird sense of betrayal by own body that you spoke about. Anything you feel right now is completely normal. Please take good care of yourself and be gentle with any responses you find yourself having. Allow yourself time to be sad and happy, to grieve when it is time to grieve and to set about making your decision to adopt when the time is right for that. I know you don't know me personally, but this issue is so personal to me that I resonate with all you are going through and want you to know you have support and understanding.
from dinahsoar :
Wow! I felt like I was on a road trip with you guys. You really brought the experience alive (I got teary along with the groom)! I'm a major rain-lover & really appreciated your description of feline & canine downpour! Thanks for the mini-holiday in the middle of my work day!
from chickie-legs :
guys have it so easy..so unfair :(
from dinahsoar :
Just to stand (lie?) with you in solidarity, I am doing my annual OB/GYN on Monday (for real!) How's that for timing? We are women ... hear us roar!
from bettyalready :
But Canadians are so nice! So you probably know all about the diva cup. I can sometimes be grossed out easily, however, it's not so bad dumping it out. The hard part is using it in a public restroom. I'm just a messy person in general so I have to be careful taking it out to not spill blood all over myself, or drop it in the toilet having to fish it out again.
from dinahsoar :
Hi Muggy! Glad you're enjoying the contacts, but I'm sure you're cool with or without glasses. I just saw The Interpretor & Nicole Kidman looked intelligent & mysterious with her glasses. And, since the eyes are the window of the soul, I don't think you have anything to worry about either way. Thanks for your message. I emailed you (don't know if it worked) about 'sprucing up' my diary (being the low techie that I am). I appreciate the offer.
from dinahsoar :
Hi. Thanks for mentioning me today. I'm so low tech, I couldn't believe it when I hit the word 'someone' & there was my diary. Thanks! I saw the movie "Pi". Great gift! Hope the birthday's fun! I'm envious of the rain. I'm a rain puppy stuck (out of my element) here in "sunny California" (although with another less than an inch, we're about to break the FOREVER record!!!). End times stuff? Dunno. Enjoy your sofa & your videos. Sounds cozy.
from godsong :
Hey LJ - I miss you! I'm glad you're back to writing a bit. Hope all is well!
from dinahsoar :
Hey, right backatcha! You are quite a writer yourself! I just read today's entry. I must respectfully inform you, though, that if you keep roughing up those dust bunnies, I will have no choice but to report you to PETA.
from dinahsoar :
Wow! That was fast! Thanks for being such an 'at the ready' audience! I really appreciate your comments. I love to write, but I'm really lazy unless I know someone will be reading. Thank you for being that someone. I had always wanted to be a writer, but took another path. I hope that someday God will use what He gave me in that area to His glory. P.S. My grandparents were from Prince Edward Island. Anywhere near you? I don't know Canada very well. Thanks again.
from dinahsoar :
Hi. I just stumbled onto your diary. It was really refreshing to read your no apologies openly Christian messages. I loved your take on the religion of tolerance & secular humanism. Thanks for your insights!
from impetuousme :
thanks, and you know what? T and I were JUST talking about me reading the old testemant on Sunday... go figure... must be something i'm giving off.. heh.. thanks...
from brdwaybebe :
Well thank you honey!! So good to "see" ya!
from lostinmylove :
Noo! Not putting you in your place at all!! I was actually VERY flattered by your comment. :-) I promise! Just life's ups and downs are making me crazy these days... thanks so much for ALL your kind words!!! ♥
from lostinmylove :
Hey, the prayers I more than appreciate. More than I can even say. I know things will turn around and it will all work out, just getting there is making me nuts right now. Thank you so much for your kind words, nothing that you said I "didn't like" - I truly appreciate it so very much. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
from godsong :
Happy Easter! God's blessings in this joyous time of year - thanks for your encouraging note! Love you, Lisa (btw - not sure I ever told you - I'm an LJ too - my last name is Jones)
from myownjourney :
I was just about to leave you a note saying I missed ya around and then there you are with an update. Gald you got on. :)
from lostinmylove :
Hey, Happy belated birthday!! I just wanted to say, I keep meaning to post my "brain" quiz to my diary. I saved it but have not posted it yet, I got the funkiest results... %50 right brain, %50 left brain!! GO figure! LOL
from godsong :

from thisismywish :
Hi! I just wanted to drop in and say Hello. Hello! I hope you have a nice evening! -Beth
from godsong :
Hey LJ - please know you are in my prayers. Gos is directing your path even more when you can't feel it. Please know that I'm here if you need someone to talk with, but first and foremost, talk with God, as I know you're doing, and with your husband. I will pray for peace, wisdom, and understanding for you both.
from brdwaybebe :
You are in my prayers my friend. This would appear to be an attack by the enemy on your marriage. Just remember: Ephesians 6:12 "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." -- Don't wrestle against your husband. Wrestle against the strife that the enemy has put into your life. I will pray for God to give you strength in this time and I will stand in agreement with you in the casting out of this principality. Have no fear honey - God has brought you together with your husband and what God has brought together no man or principality can put assunder. Please feel free to email me if you need to talk [email protected]
from impetuousme :

from godsong :
Hey LJ - I'll be praying with you as you lay out the worries before the Lord. I know that you know that He's in control of all things. Isn't it wonderful that we can take these things to his feet. God bless!
from myownjourney :

from chickie-legs :
I'm very glad that you are a part of diaryland :) And I think you are a terrific writer, the first half of my diary is ridiculous, sometimes I want to delete it, but then you can see how far you've come! congrats :)
from myownjourney :
Congrats!! You beat me good. Now, I'm just gonna have to beat you to the 400th. And good-luck tomorrow.
from godsong :
So close...and yet....will she make 200???
from thisismywish :
Woohoo! Two more to go!
from myownjourney :
Hiya. I wouldn't worry until you know for sure what's going on. But just so you know, your in my prayers.
from godsong :

from myownjourney :
Thanks for the note. And I love your entries, whatever they're about. i also took the "Does your weblog own you" quiz and I'm owned by about 35%. Sad really. Anyway, we'll see if I can match you. I have to get to 202 you know? :)
from impetuousme :
Thanks for the support. But PLEASE, get the man to pick that thing UP and learn to play. He won't regret it, ever. Promise.
from josquin :
Hmmm... heaven help us if tolerance is taught to our children. Enjoy your sabbath, whenever you take it... Cheers- J
from thisismywish :
Hey! No, you won't be a dissapointment, I'm sure:) Anyhow, thank you also for adding me as a favorite! I *know* I can be a dissapoint sometimes, but people love me all the same:) -Beth
from chickie-legs :
Hi! I just wanted to thank you for the card you made for me. I received it yesterday, you are such a sweetheart! I'm so blessed to know people off and 'online' that care about me. I hope you are doing well, and I think about you and pray for you every night. Again, thanks so much, it really meant a lot to me. Take care, Beth :)
from laura405 :
yeah, that guy was 18, you'd think he would know how to behave.. Oh well. And thanks for the offer, but I don't think my dad would be so keen on sending me off to Victoria to spend a week with an internet friend and dating boys he's never met. But if it were up to me, I'd be there is a flash LJ! Have a nice day! ~Laura Jane M.
from nycme :
You'd *think* that unstuffed turkey was against the law! In fact, I'm anticipating a knock at the door any time now...I probably should have stuffed it, anyway, because the cooking time was not all that much shorter. :)
from josquin :
Hope you're feeling better... I am 23 apparently, which would make me a perfect match for Marion :-)
from chickie-legs :
:( I'll definitely pray for you..are you ok??
from chickie-legs :
aww you're so sweet. what's your email? mine is [email protected]
from impetuousme :
why thank you. what a nice thing for you to say. this business over there, it haunts me. knowing it's all still going on, even as it threatens to pass from the news. anyway, thanks. Always so nice when someone takes the time to say a kind word. Sam
from kristintracy :
aw, you're too kind. i'm glad you enjoyed the rantathon. i just checked the clock, and it's only 12:39. um. wtf? seriously. cheers to you, though! ~kristin
from brdwaybebe :
Awww He is indeed! I hope they were good thoughts LOL
from brdwaybebe :
Happy New Year! Guess who's back!
from candoor :
merry happy cheers and hope that this is one of your best years :)
from josquin :
Have a happy New Year and an excellent 2005. Thanks for your card, I'll mention it in my next entry (and why I've been so slack :-) ). And what exactly does the talking cookie jar say? Cheers- J
from godsong :
Have a happy and blessed New Year. Looking forward to continued reading. You are a blessing to me!
from myownjourney :
Maybe, I am your husband pretending to be some dorky guy from texas because............ yeah, no one would really wanna pretend to be me huh? Oh well, just a thought. :) Merry Christmas. - Ricky

from godsong :
Hey, I tried to work it in....yea I have a date. i've been seeing Bob for about a month now. A friend from school set us up - nice Christian guy. We're going slow - and it's definitely something i want to pursue, amidst all the turmoil in my life. I'll keep you informed as things progress...
from josquin :
Hehe, it's going to get funny if you have triplets :-)
from thisismywish :
Although, I am going with what Rick said below:) Except for that wise and intelligent part...that was super nice:) Anyway, you have the greatest day! -Beth
from thisismywish :
Thank you for your care:)
from candoor :
I am reminding myself to check in here more often... maybe if I leave the window open...
from myownjourney :
Heya LJ. Sorry to dissapoint ya, but no romance for me and Beth. She is way too smart an wise to ever get invovled with a dork like me. (As most women are) ;) - Ricky
from twinsie :
Ooh, yay, updates on AR and GG would be good! Although Gilmore Girls is bugging me. I hate the Rory character this year. She's so whiny and has bad taste in men, and just bugs me. Get a life Rory, you're in college, go to a party, make some friends, have a life! Good grief! Sorry, don't know where that rant came from.
from mugwhump :
Totally!!!
from josquin :
Wasn't wanting but not getting Operation a rite-of-passage for people our age? ;-)
from impetuousme :
yeah, i know exactly what you mean... it's easy to sit around and think of oneself as all tolerant and so forth, but when you look around you, and see how you behave when presented with soemthing you don't wanna be toleranat about, then all the sudden things look mighty different. anyway, thanks for the post yesterday and PMS? oh come now... heh... let's hope we're not treading near THAT line... and tomorrow IS today, and as promised, things DO look better. So thanks.
from myownjourney :
I have the same thoughts sometimes regarding tolerance and exceptance and the differences of. It's all very complicated. And since I am not a smart man ......... it's better I don't dwell on it. - Ricky
from josquin :
I suppose I'm very tolerant of most things except intolerance and unnecessary judgementalism. The people I judge are those who should know better: I'm not intolerant of dumb people, except when they're leading a superpower and their intolerance is affecting us all and killing thousands of people. Generally though I don't mind what people think or do if they don't adversely affect other people, which in some cases requires some moral fibre.
from twinsie :
Hee, I admit that when I went to see Bridget on Friday I wondered if you'd be in line for spongebob! :) I love kids movies but generally prefer going to the late late showings so there are fewer of the target audience there. :)
from twinsie :
Poor T! I hope he feels better! I had the same thing happen to me, I woke up in the middle of the night and my stomach hurt so much, I was sure it was appendicitis (little bit of a hypochondriac), anyway, parents took me to the hospital and it turned out it was just stress (I was a week away from handing in my honours thesis). But it was very scary and very painful. Hope he feels better!
from josquin :
Hee hee, if you look at my second last entry, I mentioned it just before going on about how far I'm behind with the Gilmore Girls :-) I looks like it was a bit of a hoot there... and I forget Canada is a Commonwealth country. I suppose it always used to be commonwealth-pink on all the maps, but seeing Lizzie Regina on the stamp brought it home. Cheers- J
from myownjourney :
I just scrolled down and as it turns out ... I did mention it - who knew? I know, I'm wierd.... but it's what makes me so loveable ... right?- Ricky the Wierdo
from myownjourney :
Heya, thanks for the thought ... :) And great joke ... some people seem to get offended to easily about those jokes ... but what are ya gonna do? Yeah, so I'm just rambling here, hope you don't mind. Speaking of rambling, I don't think i mentined that I'm glad you had a good vacation. and didn't get too overwhelmed by the whole Americanisms .... I don't think that's a word ... but ... yeah ... so there ya go. - Ricky
from josquin :
Heh heh, I liked those jokes. My favourite religious joke happens when the woman has been caught committing adultery and the crowd wants to stone her. Jesus says "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone". Deathly silence and amazement at his wisdom. Then, from the back, a stone sails over everyone's head, hits the woman and knocks her senseless. There is general sensation in the crowd, everyone looking to see who has thrown the stone. Jesus looks through the crowd and yells in frustration "Oh... Mum!" Cheers- J
from impetuousme :
hey, thanks for posting that note. god, what a gift on a crappy friday. thank you. your words mean the world to me. I've just been feeling like nobody else could possibly understand this SHIT that goes through my brain. so thank you, for reading what i wrote, and even more, for responding in such a kind way. you are officially my friday angel. S.A.M.
from godsong :
that was hilarious! Thanks for sharing it. I'm glad you found the book - that site looks great too - I might have to do some shopping.
from twinsie :
Hey LJ, I would love the info on how to link if you don't mind sharing it with me. :) Happy weekend!
from godsong :
Hey LJ - I've chatted with bex (greenheifer)on AIM a few times over the past months - she's not updating, although I don't really know why. She's doing well though, from what it appears - really busy with church and school and family and a new boyfriend who sounds like a good guy. Next time she's online I'll let her know that she's missed! Have a great weekend!
from josquin :
Sounds like a fun vacation... getting home always seems to be the longest part- especially if it takes you 4 hours to fly over Australia to Melbourne! Anyway, thanks for the postcard, it was great. Re the Gilmore Girls, here it's on on Saturday nights, and not on at the moment. This means with my hectic (?!) social life I don't get to see it very often. Instead I bought a zone-free DVD player, and got the first season on DVD from Amazon. My previous viewing was patchy enough for me not to spoil the first season for me. Being sometime in March 2001, that would make me about three and a half years behind the US. With luck I'll get the second season before Christmas :-)
from godsong :
one of my best friends lives in Oregon - I must agree with you about the beauty of the coast there! Thanks so much for sharing your trip with your readers. Hopefully everything else is getting back to normal - looking forward to hearing from you as always! God bless!
from twinsie :
I do love chocolate covered jujubes and I'm glad you liked them! Most people think that that mix would be gross, they just don't get the yummy goodness of it! :)
from josquin :
Spongebob and Patrick I meant...
from josquin :
How could Spongebob and not have recognised their most devoted fan? What's wrong with the world? By the way, I think if you remove the line in your template that contains http://www.devirc.org/blogpet/easypet/cat/blogpet.php your loading should speed up. I looked up what my browser was loading, and it spends ages trying to load that script before it gives up. Cheers, J

Anyway, just thought I'd share a "small world" tid-bit since your going to Disneyland....get it... "small world".....from the song from Disney.......ok....I'll go away now. - Rick - http://www.karaokeplayer.net/itsasmall.html

Happy Anniversary! I found your phone # from when you sent to me a long time ago - when's a good time to call? Have a wonderful day. God bless!
from twinsie :
Sorry to hear about the loss in your family! Best wishes for you and T!
from godsong :
hey lj! Thanks for your note - why don't you email me your number and some possible time to call over the weekend - I'll be home a quite a bit and would love to finally "talk". By the way - I saw something spongebob the other day (can't remember now what it was!) but I thought of you! my email is [email protected]. Looking forward to hearing from you!
from josquin :
Here in Australia, some bureaucrat in the 19th century decided that the seasons would coincide with the months, and lo, they do. All it means that the start of spring is quite cold and wet, and the start of autumn is pleasant and dry.
from twinsie :
Hey LJ, sorry I missed you this weekend, I'm helping a friend move tomorrow, and am out tuesday but maybe we could catch that "coffee" later in the week? I'll send ya an email!
from josquin :
You have to be a little more careful when using just text to communicate, don't you? I try to be in the habit of looking through an email before I send it if it's potentially problematic. If I'm teasing someone over email it can't communicate the wry "Of course I'm only just kidding- I'd never say anything to really hurt you" smile like face-to-face can. And there seem to be a lot of people on the internet champing at the bit to take offence at something ("flamers"). But if you're reasonably sensible, online communication can be great fun- J
from galaxyrabbit :
the little girl is me! of course you can use it.

thank you for the note. it's nice to know other people are THERE, if you know what i mean. and no, of course it wasn't anything anyone said. just me, and my own foolish world.
from josquin :
If you're going to ride around like the naked dude, it would help to have leathery skin :) Are you sure hubby doesn't have a name for his bike that he's embarrassed to tell you and/or predates meeting you? You could call it Sweet Chariot and enjoy swinging low around bends...
from twinsie :
Wait, don't we get your answers to either/or?
from josquin :
If I'd been in the race I would have been the 7th place car cruising around and enjoying the scenery :)
from twinsie :
How fun! I can't even imagine pastors racing. Hee. I don't know whether to congratulate you on turning down the spongebob purchase or tell you to encourage your inner child and go buy it! :)
from impetuousme :
sorry to hear about the migraines. I used to have some horible ones. Turned out to be hypertension, maybe something to lookin into? anyway, i DO hope you DID swipe that pie.. i would have... :)
from twinsie :
ok, I know I'm a little slow on this, hope you don't mind me asking them in your notes. My 5 questions for you: 1. If you could live anywhere in the world other than where you are now where would that be? 2. If you were chosen to be on a reality show what show would that be? 3. Who is your least favorite person in the world and why? 4. What is one activity that you would like to try but are afraid of? 5. Favorite vegetable? Can't wait to see the answers!
from twinsie :
Can I just say how impressed I am that you know how to properly link to other people's diaries? Well done you!
from impetuousme :
thank you so much for the kind note... it seems at times that there is this very special bond between daughters and good fathers... i'm so glad that you had that, but saddened of course that you were never able to say a proper goodbye... thanks for your support, even as you yourself are not feeling so great... that means so much... and rest assured I WILl be doing my utmost to support my wife....
from twinsie :
I'm sorry to hear that things feel so dark for you right now. I know this is the psychologist in me but have you considered talking to someone about it (someone in addition to God)? It sounds like you may be clinically depressed to me (but I'm definitely no expert). Anyway, I hope things get brighter for you! Enjoy the Amazing Race!
from twinsie :
Believe me, if I could send thunderstorms to Victoria I would, they're so fabulous. The thing about the rudeness on AR is that it's only the begining. These people haven't even begun to experience sleep- and food-deprivation yet so what will they be like in a couple weeks?! They definitely won't be breaking the stereotype of rude Americans. But I'm still loving the show! I loved the Tango Dancing challenge. They did a similar one last year but I still thought it was great!
from dalyrical1 :
thank you so much for the note you left me!! i'm sorry it took so long for me to respond, but i wasn't notifed by guestbook.com like i'm 'sposed to be when someone signs it. again, thank you so much...i hope this won't be the last time we talk...
from twinsie :
Re: The Amazing Race. I'm totally with you...I think this years racers are ruder than other years. Those 2 brothers consistently say things that annoy me (she can't pass us, she's a woman driver). My other pet peave: when a team says that they want to prove to the world that they can do things on their own, independently, and then they procede to ask for help on every single task. You can't have it both ways, either you're independant and can do it for yourself or you're not. So glad Donny and Alison are gone as they are TOXIC! My favorite team right now is the bowling moms...although I don't know what to think of the whole 'They told us American money wouldn't work over here' scandal. I choose to believe that if you are dumb enough to not investigate that for yourself than you deserve any time you lost because of it. :) Ok, that's my Amazing Race rant done.
from laura-jane :
Indeed, I did receive your email of late. Thank you so very much, I really enjoyed reading it. I have been having an odd problem (well, not a problem, but pattern I guess) lately where I keep opening up peoples' guestbooks and notes, and then half-typing something and then closing the window. It's strange. Anyway, thus I seem to have been really quiet lately, but I'm still reading! I'll be emailing you back within a day or two. As per getting together, I'd love to in the near future. This week is rather busy for me, as I have a friend probably coming to stay with us for the weekend, but next week might be good. I'll write more in the email. We sure are amassing a nice community of people from Victoria, hey? It's really great, I think. Anyway, you'll be hearing from me! Fond thoughts, LJVK

Thank you so much for your note, how nice it was. I wonder if I can send Candoor a big hug and kiss in the mail. Thanks for the laughing I did about Spongebob, yes he is growing on me but I have to say my vice is Mandy, Billy, & Grimm! Oh yes, Mandy is right up my Alley! Thank you again, Love and hugs to you Annie
from candoor :
yes (email) and thank you... no time for response until the weekend, but definitely smiling :)
from twinsie :
1 day till the amazing race starts! Yay! I heard it is much more cut-throat and competitive this year. They're adding in a yield card that lets whatever team is holding it hold back another team. Ooooh! I'm expecting some catfights. Enjoy!
from twinsie :
Great quiz mugwhump! You've given me something to work on for the rest of the afternoon! :) Happy Canada Day tomorrow!
from candoor :
thanks and more, lives like yours (shared) keep me believing that's the right thing for me too (so until the right partner for me comes along, hope rises above despair and on the water-wings of irreverent babbling :)
from godsong :
Sounds like you had a wonderful time! I'm sure the "girls" enjoyed visiting as well. By the way - not sure if I've ever mentioned it - I love reading your entries - they make me think and laugh - I feel as if I really get to know you through them! God bless!
from twinsie :
Man, I'm quite the note-leaver today aren't I? That's a bummer that the girls had to leave right away, for some reason I thought they were here for a week. Hope you had a great time with them!
from twinsie :
Good grief that was a long note! I just wanted to add that coffee would be good sometime but it might have to wait till I get back from Calgary as next week should be pretty busy and you've got the girls visiting. Thanks very much for the offer! I'll definitely take you up on it once I'm back!
from twinsie :
I love Clive Owen, and I have seen Greenfingers, I was also informed by my twinsie that he's in a movie called the rich man's wife with Halle Berry that is on tv tonight or tomorrow. I really don't like Halle though so I don't know if I can watch it. Glad to hear that your migraine cleared up in time for your visitors! Have a fantastic time with them. They sound great! Also, I couldn't help reading some of your other notes. Do you watch ANTM too? I think that show is so fun in a "oh my god those girls are too skinny" kind of way! Have a great weekend with the girls! Looking forward to reading all about your adventures together! Oh, and don't know if you saw it but I was so glad they got rid of Bonnie on LCS. I didn't find her funny at all! :)
from laura-jane :
Eek! That is too long to be migraine-plagued. Here's hoping to the fact that it recedes from whence it came some time in the very, very near future.
from nuntobe :
Hello. I found your diary through Lisa's diary. I hope you don't mind my reading, because I really enjoy what you write. If you do mind just tell me, and I will respect your request. I hope your headache gets better. Take care and may God Bless you and your family. ~Jamie~
from laura-jane :
Oh yes, ANTM. Sadly, we don't have cable here--just some fancy rabbit ears that pick up four or five channels. Thus, no ANTM for me, which pains me. Although, As much as I was addicted to the last one, I agree with you about the ridiculousness of the body type situation. I remember from last season the same thing, however the 'Plus Size Model' was eliminated first, so we didn't get to see much of her. It's probably best for one's self-esteem not to watch, so perhaps its for the best. Yes, and Janice Dickinson... well, seems evil.
from laura-jane :
Mugwhump! Hello! Just wanted to say I am still very much a-reading, although I've been incommunicado for quite some time now it seems. Glad to have read your foot is finally returning to its original duties. Do not feel uninspired about your writing, it's wonderful; reading it, so much of your personality comes through--it's as though you are really speaking. I'm not quite explaining it right, but it's a joy to read--always puts a smile on my face. Can't wait to hear about madcap twin niece adventures as they happen, as well as get together perhaps before the end of the month? Hope all is well, and that you are not sweltering too much with this crazy heat!
from twinsie :
Heh, very true. I guess I would prefer it be a stand-up comedy show - so pick the talented people. Rather than a comics living in a house together show - where they picked the annoying/crazy people for "entertainment" value. I guess I'll just have to see what it is like next week.
from twinsie :
Yeah, I'm so not happy with some of the picks on LCS. I thought last night was even worse. I didn't think the guy with the long hair should have gone in the house. I just find his stuff so tired and old. I liked the Sicilian lady though, she was funny. Last night was fun to watch just because of Drew Carey and Brett Buttler throwing the fit and saying that it was rigged and their choices weren't picked for the house. What was the point of having celebrity judges if NBC was just going to make their own choices anyway? Ok, enough LCS talk. :)
from firemind2 :
Good Morning (Wednesday). Yes your guestbook went away today. Your firemind and maktaaq links are there but out of line. When you get it sorted out this may be a good time to find a better template or turn the d-land picture links into text ones. Email me if you need help and leave a note so I check my fm email.
from firemind2 :
It should be interesting to see what other people have to say about email, etc. We shall then feel vindicated that we are not the only geeks(ha). It's my turn to apologize I just added you to my firemind2 favourites. You are well on your way to d-land divahood. What did you do with your guestbook? It never seemed to cause a problem with my computer. I hope das foot is ein gut and das footzenwrappen is kaput.
from twinsie :
I just figured that you answered it on your own site so everyone reading your notes would find out the answer. Think I overthink things too much? :)
from twinsie :
Heh! That answers my question. :)
from mugwhump :
I'ts not illegal to ride a motorcycle in bad weather, but it is illegal to go 21km over the speed limit in bad weather. Unfortunately - when your on a bike in rain it is best to stay in front of traffic otherwise the back spash is murder.
from twinsie :
oh hey, I meant to ask you this earlier. Why did the RCMP pull you guys over when you were driving back from Nanaimo? Is it illegal to ride a motorcycle in bad weather? Cause what else are you supposed to do?
from twinsie :
Hee. Yeah I had to get rid of MSN messanger years ago because I wasn't getting any work done! Not that I'm getting any work done right now! :)
from twinsie :
We're not just watching tv together, aparently we're on here together as well! :) Hmm, favorites, I liked the Iranian Jew - the skit about his dad having the "medical school" calendar vs the "comedian" calendar. Who else did I like? It's hard to remember now. How bout you? Congrats on getting rid of Das Boot! I bet that is a relief for you!
from twinsie :
Tonight they're narrowing it down to who gets to go in the house...so I think they're going from 20 to 10. I'll let you know what I think of Lovely Bones, it came highly recommended from a friend of mine. Good luck getting rid of Das Boot!
from godsong :
I'll be praying for your foot! Thaks for your encouragement - I knew what you meant about "beating" on me - I actually did that to myself...but sometimes those old thoughts and feelings creep up before you know it! Things are much better now though - praise God! Hey I'm done school as of tomorrow! We need to figure out a time for a phone call now! God bless!
from josquin :
You're quite the newlywed aren't you? Giving hope to all them single 30s boys and girls out there... I say enjoy your anniversaries!
from laura405 :
yeah, I've been hearing mixed reviews on that movie. And yes, the kids are looking less and less like kids, especially if you see them do an interview. I always love how you don't see a celebrity do anything for a long time and then you do and they've changed so much. It's like seeing your school friends after the summer between grade 6 and 7. Oh how things change.
from candoor :
hopefully you know that your positivity and reassurance is appreciated even when I am just staring at the notes instead of responding :)
from twinsie :
Man, I am a horrible note-replier...sorry about that. I have heard of Sundre but I would be hard-pressed to say where it is in relation to Calgary. I didn't watch Last Comic Standing last year so this is all new to me. But so far so good. Yay, glad there is another amazing race fan on here as I'm sure I'll have a lot of entries about it! :) Cheers!
from mugwhump :
People can leave notes in my guestbook or here. I'm a note slut, I'll take anything I can get!
from laura405 :
hey, should we write in here or in the guestbook? (quizzes are fun, keep it up, it's like a little glance into you're soul --radioactive squirrel, ahh that one made me laugh.)
from obsidianblaq :
why thank you LJ! and my dear, I would be more than happy to make you a layout!! all you have to do is give me an idea.
from godsong :
congrats to T, and to you as well! God's blessings as you both embark on this new phase...and please don't curtail...I love reading your entries! Keep it up sister!
from josquin :
Wow, I just found out what convocation means :) Enjoy your new opportunities... J
from godsong :
just wanted to say and congrats on your new techno savvy! Hope all is well - looking forward to chatting with you sometime! We'll work it out - maybe when my school year is finished! God bless!
