Hm, from what it sounds like, you are over that relationship. I know you love her, if you didn't, you would not be human. It's only natural to love someone you spent so much time with - but it seriously sounds like you are ready to have your own life, and she is not willing to accept that. If she was mature enough to be in a relationship, she would accept and want what is best for you, and vice versa for you. I always tell the boyfriend that I want to go to grad school near him if possible, but if say, I get into Berkeley, and he gets into some Law School on the East Coast, we'll have to part, and I am willing to do that because it is what is best. yeah i know. we only need to vent & get it out. if you give advice or try to solve our 'problems' it just frustrates us cause we aren't venting to get it solved. we don't need solving just the verbal/emotional release of getting it out. its every woman like that. it does suck for guys but all you have to do is shake your head & agree with her or listen. even if you are just pretending to listen just so long as you give those standard "yes, ooh that sucks" etc...

that sucks about the working out.. i get like her when it's been a while and im no longer "in the zone" and motivated about working out. i need a buddy till i'm pretty much regular and then i feel weird not working out so it forces me to go even when no ones going with me. about the whole new thing.. how i deal with it is to try new things with them.. new experiences that one/or both of you havent done yet and do them. like yesterday he took me to a driving range.. and even though i couldnt hit the ball for the life of me, it was new and somehow that helps. also we're planning on kayaking and going to a shooting range whenever we both have time.. things like that.. or make new friends together. i dunno, it doesn't quite match that new relationship feeling but you find that the comfortable familiarity you can only share with someone you've been with for a while isn't that bad of a tradeoff..

interesting entry. i was thinking about that when i woke up this morning. i had a dream about some other guy.. no one i know in particular and the only thing that happened was emotional attachment and some cuddling and when doug woke me up unintentionally by moving around i was really sad cuz i liked the feel of a new body pressed up against me. then i felt guilty cuz im still very much in love with doug but yet i was lusting after someone i havent even met. the whole sex thing though.. i hope doug never gets tired of me. our sex life after three years is still pretty much kicking. it's suffering now due to school and such but even then we're still pretty active. he's in great shape.. and im blessed with a high metabolism. i'm thinking maybe you can start working out WITH her? thats what doug does to get me to work out... he pretty much personally trains me. and about snapping at her- i get like that with my brother cuz he doesnt think for himself since he knows i've been through it all. he lives across the gym in a dorm and i live off campus and he would call me to see if the gym is open. i get snappy with him sooo easily... i guess with that, you just have to consciously make an effort not to be mean. it's so hard though. anyways... i like it when you update. good luck with it all and i still think you're a great boyfriend.

Way to go on the smoking!! I am definately quitting now. I don't necessarily think that drinking in modesty is a sin. It's just that drinking has led me down a lot of the wrong paths. As for the smoking, the Bible says "Your body is a temple if the spirit lives within", so you aren't supposed to harm your body and smoking harms your body. I don't judge other's interpretations of the Bible though, that's just how I see it. My life has just become really stressful recently and I have realized that if I were closer to God then I wouldn't have to handle it all alone. Sometimes life just gets too hard and as sad as it is that is usually when we seek God most.
