thanks! & I really hope you're able to figure all your unpleasant relationshipy things out
from newthrash :
Thanks. I'm also a relationship n00b, and it's the most confusing. Hope your situation works out well. I've seen long-distance work, despite the bad rep it often gets.
from thedevlyn :
Thank you for taking my survey.

"I should make this place private to my eyes alone but for some reason I don't want to." How I've always felt about my diary here. I do everything to make sure nobody I actually know finds it... but if they did, there's nothing stopping them from reading all my secrets. And still, I don't want to lock my secrets up.
from needingalex :
just had to comment because i just came back to diaryland too after using diary-x and xanga. i've been on diaryland for 4 years and you're right, it just feels like home. welcome back!

Hey there! thanks for doing my gettinolder survey! 20's a cool age. But so is 30... you'll see when you get there you'll be like "wow, I'm WAY better than in my 20's"!! ... Acne is the worst thing you might inherit from your family? That's not so bad! I see you were a little bit peter pan. Me too. I always figured I didn't need to be an adult in order to be independent and responsible, so what was the point in being one? :) I couldve stayed like 13 forever! And Hah! I wish age were a linear pattern created by humans and not by nature. Years as a unit of measure are created by humans. But aging is nature. I feel it in my body... I will go through menopause soon, I have lots of grey hair, it takes me a week to bounce back from an allnighter instead of a day, I get more set in my ways. And it isn't just me, I see it in my dog. Her personality has changed in perfectly predictable ways compared to other dogs her age (ie plays roughhouse with all other dogs until about age 2, very tolerant of puppies til about age 5, very tolerant of dominant dogs mounting her to show dominance til about age 7 etc)... I should write an entry on "you are as old as you feel"... unfortunately if YOU don't know, your bones, hair and heart know. I usually feel about 25, except when I remember how young I was at 25. :D Thanks again for the thoughtful answers, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
from dont-stop :
Sorry that you had such a sucky weekend with the bad mail and all. (Big Warm Hug)
from pattianne :
one of my friends is big into nascar. she used to go to the daytona 500 with her mom and hang out with rusty wallace.
from dont-stop :
I've had dreams like that. Mine are usually comprised of memories and from stuff that I've seen in movies.
from directaction :
Well thanks, I love your name. 84 was great.
from sosum3 :
Yes, I miss State St too. I was there from 1991 to 1994.
from sosum3 :
Western Illinois! Which town is it? I studied at U of Wisc - Madison. Pretty close. I studied Sociology and Political Science. Geology sounds interesting. I used to take a lot of geography classes (almost half a major).
from sosum3 :
Yeah I like Patriotism very much too. When I read it for the first time, I didn't notice it was Yukio Mishima's work, as I used to know his name by Kanji (I am a Chinese). I was stunned by the beauty and sublimation. It was indeed an excellent work. Mishima is a master of extraordinary topics like suicide. I recommend you to read Confessions of a Mask. This time the subject masturbation is mastered very well by Mishima too. It's also his autobiography. Which school are you studying at?
from sosum3 :
I like Patriotism too!
