medusasdaughter at g mail need password
from her-story :
I don't have your password anymore... at least not on my laptop. Can you email it to me? [email protected]
from twisted-mind :
Over three months now... an update would be lovely.
from twisted-mind :
Wow it has been two months since you last updated. Hope everything is going well.
from nixtress :
Hey, lady friend. I hope Life is being nice to you. I've thought about you lots!! I wanted to wish you an early Merry Christmas as I won't be online again until after the holiday. Happy Holidays!
from ingridwrites :
I have to wonder who figured out the caloric value of sperm... then, knowing how many calories per teaspoon makes it so it would have to be measured. "Wait, honey, let me get the measuring spoons! I need to count this in my calories." HAHA!
from nicolerenee :
...hmmm....very enticing.... :)
from twisted-mind :
Nicole, how is your Mom?
from foursquare :
Hey Nicole, thanks for the note, it's great to hear from you. It's funny, the very day you updated last week I had been thinking of giving up and taking you off my buddy list. :-P How have things been? I think you're on my notify list since I moved to Blogger, but I wasn't able to tell if you'd been reading or not. Can you believe Booger is almost 6, and my little guy almost 2?!
from twisted-mind :
I miss your updates... lots. Thanks for the comment the other day. Hope you are doing good and you had a great weekend.
from her-story :
THANK YOU!! :) Long time no hear... how's it going?
from nixtress :
Hey you :) It's been a bit since I left a note and I just wanted to say that I hope you have a great weekend! Ready for Summer yet? (((big hugs))) hope things are good up there :)
from dnyl22 :
Hope you had a great time. The weather sucks, we're getting almost the same thing here in Ohio, just not the snow. Its been cold though
from nixtress :
I feel ya! How'd the trip go? I can't wait for details :)
from nixtress :
Blogspot? You have a blogspot and didn't share it with me? :(
from nixtress :
Happy Easter!!!
from liquid-mojo :
Woah, your new(er) blogspot diary threw me off. I guess I have some catching up to do. :)
from spring-da1sy :
Sixteen days!!! Wow-time has flown! It sounds like you're going to need the Florida weather. Ours in Maryland has been about the same but less extreme, though we may see some mixed precip today.
from dnyl22 :
Even if you don't renew your membership you'll still be around right? The weather here in Ohio sucks too Tues/Wed it was 65 and then we wake up this morning to freezing rain and then snow! Lucky you, heading off to Florida! We'll be going to visit my sister in Texas in August. Have a good weekend :)
from nixtress :
Of course I'll email! I think I still have your address saved in my contacts...I'll send you off a note and if you can just respond so I know it's the right one, we'll be in good shape :P
from mgottlieb :
Halleluja! She lives!! And, happy birthday! I would dearly love to tell you that the pickle thing is untrue, you know, as a birthday present, but sadly, I cannot. Have you ever tried a dill pickle dipped in ketchup? It's a taste sensation you won't soon forget. Anyway, happy birthday, again. Hope you have a fabulous day!
from ingridwrites :
Happy birthday! I am totally living on sugar free hard candies to get me through that rough time when I NEED sugar. ;) The baskin & robins ones are good, so are the little toffee kind and the crystal light ones. I have all of them ;)
from dnyl22 :
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
from nixtress :
Happy Happy Birthday!!
from nicolerenee :
I'm so glad things are looking atleast a little up. Your mom is in my prayers! :)
from dnyl22 :
Glad to see things are going well and your enjoying your extra time. I've been feeling the same way, so much has been going on, I just don't feel like updating though! I'll get around to it though. You are lucky btw to wake up to flowers and a homemade card! What a catch!:) Take care
from nixtress :
I hope things are trucking along up there! It's been nearly three weeks since you've updated and I like to think it's because you're having a bucketload of fun :P Just know I'm thinking about you and your family and hoping things are swimming along.
from nixtress :
I miss your updates!!!! I think we (all of dland) need to petition your work to just let you have computer time :P Hope that you and family are doing well and want you to know that we're waiting patiently here for you to come back :)
from sillyme00 :
you are locked up and I would love to have your username and password.. Jennifer (sillyme00)
from dnyl22 :
Well, I know I miss ya. Things have been so hectic here and my mind so all over the place that I haven't been updating since I don't know where to start!! When your ready, myself and I'm sure everyone else will be here with open arms!! Take care :)
from twisted-mind :
Hope your weekend rocks!
from nixtress :
I'm sorry poor Mason was sick over the holidays! That had to suck. The pictures were great :) love to see smiles on the kiddos! It sounds like your trip to Florida is going to be a lot of fun! I can't wait to hear all about it. It's always good to get away and for that sort of time...I'm envious :)
from dnyl22 :
Glad your holidays went well. Cutting out or down on pop will make a huge difference, it has with me. Take care, looking forward till your next update!! :)
from mgottlieb :
Come over to the Blogger darkside. I haven't had any problems with it at all and it was like a brand new start. Hope your holidays were great!
from dnyl22 :
That sucks, its happened to me a few times as well. Hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
from nixtress :
Happy New Year! Hope things are going well with all of you :)
from mgottlieb :
I hope you had a merry Christmas!
from nixtress :
Hey, I have a question. Your Morgan is about my sister's age, right? What do you buy a girl that age for Christmas??? I'm begging for suggestions :)
from mgottlieb :
Where are you? Should I file a missing persons report? Put your face on a milk carton?
from nixtress :
Hey, woman. How's life up there? I'm sure you're crazy busy with work and home and shopping, etc. Just wanted to say hi and I miss your updates :)
from dnyl22 :
Atleast you got everything out now and it seems like your about on the same page. I personally truly admire that you can be so honest with people like that. I myself try to be, but either things come out the wrong way or maybe its the people I'm surrounded by who take things the wrong way (?) hmm, who knows. Anyway, I haven't stopped by here in awhile, so I just wanted to drop ya a line! There's been so much going on over here that my thoughts are a million places at once and I know if I tried to do an update it would be a mess!! Talk to ya soon, take care :)
from laila726 :
Peek-a-boo.... where are you? :)
from ingridwrites :
Deal ;)
from groupie94 :
I haven't been online very much to be caught up in the diary thing lately.... haven't had a chance to read your diary when I have been on... somehow I lost the silly password... or maybe you changed it from what it was before... in anycase can i have it again...? I have thought about you and your family and wondered what's been happening... Thanks for the note... the encouragement from my friends is what I really need right now... ( holiday this yr are gonna suck ) Take care hun.!
from ingridwrites :
Thanks. Just that overwhelmed feeling.
from nixtress :
Ick! You have so much patience with her!! I can only imagine how frustrating it must get. Hope your weekend goes well and you're able to get some relaxation in somewhere :)
from ingridwrites :
Only if we can meet Brett for...you know ;))
from ingridwrites :
Haha! I wish I could have been at that game. ;)
from ingridwrites :
HAHA! Last year I puked the entire (2 hour) drive home! I don't want to do that again. ;) Know why GB lost? Mister made me take of my #4 jersey at halftime. I am so serious. He thought I was jinxing the Hawks and said I had to take it off right now! I did and look what happened. It's all my fault...
from nicolerenee :
Thanks for the support, you are a terrific friend. ♥
from mgottlieb :
You are a brave, brave soul. I never shop on Black Friday. I'm glad it went so well for you :)
from tommy212 :
Hey Nicole! I've been MIA for a while, (I got married!!!) and now want to catch up on your world. email me tommy212@at yahoo with your password, if it's okay with you. Thanks!
from dnyl22 :
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
from nixtress :
Have a great Thanksgiving!!
from dnyl22 :
Ah, yes, not cool when mom stays at the party. I just experienced that for myself a few weeks ago! They're growin' up
from nixtress :
That's exactly what I was saying! How the heck do I get the spare off?? Thank goodness for AAA. I'd be lost without it. I think I've used it more in the last two months than I have the entire last couple years that I've paid for it. I like your theory on not stopping a smile. If more people remembered that, we'd be in a better world. Happy middle of the week!
from dnyl22 :
What an inspiring entry. I think I'll pass that on to my kids, at the right moment! Happy Tuesday, take care :)
from nicolerenee :
thanks. ♥
from twisted-mind :
No pictures?!
from nixtress :
Glad to hear that your pal is feling better. I was really hoping that was the case :) The situation with your MIL sounds very frustrating. I think you're handling it like a pro, though. You're just awesome.
from dnyl22 :
Alot of my entries come out like that, all over the place. I feel for you though. My issues with my MIL are similar and it bothers me the most that she's not involved in my kids' lives either. What's hard on our end is that she sees the other grandkids every other weekend and I'm left to explain why. Hopefully you feel better getting things off your chest. Have a good weekend :)
from lerin :
Thanks for sharing! I sent you mine too. I lock everything up but the current month for the same reason. :)
from lerin :
Knock, knock! :) If you are sharing your password with complete strangers, email me at [email protected]
from nixtress :
The sad part is that most of this isn't on my plate---it's on people that I love and wish I could help in some way. I know you know how very frustrating it can be to not be able to do a damned thing to make it better. How is your friend doing? Feeling better? It's been a bit since you mentioned.
from dnyl22 :
How adorable!
from chaosdaily :
i always made sure the costumes were warm... you just never know!
from nixtress :
I posted pics. Hope you're having a great weekend!!
from suz324 :
My email isn't working! Don't worry, I didn't forget you. I'm in Savannah right now, enjoying free internet and a comfy bed. I miss you.
from ingridwrites :
YES! Now it is stuck in my head. Thanks :)
from nixtress :
Are you ready for trick-or-treat yet? I'm STILL assembling costumes and our's is tomorrow night! Eek. They're fairly simple though. Assembly-required furniture should be outlawed! It just takes all the fun out of it.
from mgottlieb :
Yes, Milwaukee, WI, as in, a few hours from you and, I would have loved to have gone but one of his suppliers (oh my, that sounds so illegal) was paying for the trip and it was a quickie (now that just sounds dirty). He flew out yesterday at 8:00 a.m. and he will be home tonight at 10:00. Next time for sure :)
from nixtress :
How sweet! Sounds like both Morgan and you have good taste in men :) I'm so jealous---your makeover sounds like it's going to be wonderful! I'll fully expect pics :P
from spring-da1sy :
Her first sweetheart, and a good one at that! It's funny how these firsts can shape their futures, isn't it? Well she's certainly off to a good start!
from twisted-mind :
Awww your husband is sweet. I'm glad you had a nice weekend. You sure deserve it.
from moodymama :
i need a password! :(
from mgottlieb :
I have no idea what kind of jewelery party it is. I have actually never been to one, can you believe that? Hopefully I will not break the bank, the husband would be less than impressed.
from libbyo :
awww... poor little guy. Good thing he has you. Some moms!
from reese219 :
Hey...lol thanks for the sympathy. Well, I decided to delete that entry I wrote. Why feed an ego by having him read all about himself? I am seeing things from a fresh point of view today. I feel a whole lot better about things. Thanks again. I appreciate all that you said.XOXOX
from dnyl22 :
I've been slacking on updating also! I so can't wait until we buy our own house and can paint and decorate to our liking. I have to be patient though, we've got a 1 year plan in motion and hopefully by this time next year we'll be in a house of our own. Its so funny how much Morgan and Brandon are alike, he also thinks he's "too cool" for Chucke E Cheese's. He'll play games to win tickets for Brynn! Sorry, its only Tuesday:( Have a good day/week :) Take care
from mgottlieb :
I wish we would have used professional painters when we painted the new addition. Painting SUCKS. The colors you picked sound awesome, can't wait to see pictures!
from manthyj2 :
Hi Nicole... Looking for your password, would have emailed you but can't find that either...my email is [email protected]
from dnyl22 :
Its starting to get cold here too. They're calling for the stuff your getting to be here by the weekend! Blah. Fall goes comes and goes way to fast. Have a great weekend :)
from spring-da1sy :
Hey-I'm locked out in the cold with no key! Are you no longer sharing? If you are, can I get the pw please?
from just2cusmile :
love reading your diary-if your still giving out your password you can email me at [email protected] patti
from ameliorating :
Hey! Thanks for the note, you are right on, no sharing!! I'd love to have the password. Hope everything is ok.. you can email it to me at Tigerlily 1381 at M S N . com. *hugs* Jen
from jess1976 :
Would you mind send me the PW info? [email protected] Thanks!
from freetobemee :
Hey girl...didn't realize you were locking up...can I have your info to read?
from nixtress :
Hey you. I sent you an email to the addy I had, hope you get it. Would love a password if you're sharing. I'm hoping everything's okay there!
from her-story :
*knock*knock* May I come in?
from chaosdaily :

medusasdaughter at g mail
from dnyl22 :
That is so cute!! Sounds like my little "casanova" here. My 10 year old wrote in his yearbook last year above his name "lady's man"!! Gotta love young love :)
from spring-da1sy :
Awwwwwww! Too cute indeed!
from mgottlieb :
Sorry this has taken so lonf but, as requested, the Campbell's soup Cheeseburger Pasta recipe! 1 lb. ground beef 1 can cheddar cheese soup 1 can (10.5 oz) beef broth 1.5 cups water 1/2 cup ketchup 2 cups uncooked medium shell pasta Cook beef until browned, drain fat. Add soup, broth, water, ketchup and pasta, heat to boil. Cook over meduim heat for 10 minutes or until pasta is done, stirring often. Easy peasy and the kids LOVED it!
from peytonsplace :
I was having problems being motivated too, then all the sudden, Poof, it came back. Weird!
from spring-da1sy :
Morgan looks so much like you-and they both seem to grow in leaps & bounds every time you post pics! Cute kids! Enjoy your date.
from dnyl22 :
I agree with you totally. I think the problem is that to many parents are not involved enough in their kids lives. It's one thing to give a kid or teenager space and privacy, but come on, lets get realistic here. Lack of dicipline I think plays a role also. Parents are "afraid" to dicipline b/c they want to be "friends" with their kids and don't want to be the bad guy. I'm friends with my kids, but there's definitely a point where the line gets drawn. We all want to believe out kids would never do something like that, but I think that's why we have to stay involved. Gosh, I could go on forever about this, but I won't!! Speaking of date night, Bruce told me he's working on getting a sitter for Sunday so we can go to a sports bar or something to watch the Browns game (yes we're Browns fans!!), wish me luck. Have fun shopping :)
from dnyl22 :
Ahh, date night. I wish we could have one. Make sure you do crank up the vitamin C, I'm telling ya what, this cold/flu crap is really kicking my butt! Take care of yourself :)
from her-story :
Hey chiquita... Miss chatting with you now that I'm a (supposedly) member of the working stiffs club. That car wreck is insane... I sat on the interstate on my way to work yesterday morning for TWO HOURS... b/c of two separate accidents. I've come to the conclusion that people can't fucking drive. THAT'S why we have accidents. There should be a way for their cars to not start if they are retarded and stupid.
from mgottlieb :
I think we should start a petition for early release for the working woman. We would be HEROES.
from ingridwrites :
Only 12 drinks? Hmph, my chaos deserves way more. ;) Thank you.
from dnyl22 :
My kids are the same way. Brandon loves eating school lunches. Now that he's at the jr. high he has many more choices. Bryce has gotten hot lunch twice this year, but he's all about cold lunches. The nice thing is, is that he's been packing his own lunch. I just have to check it to make sure its ok. He does a pretty good job. I ranted about getting a new job today also. The hard part is actually doing it! Take care :)
from nixtress :
I would love a copy :)
from ingridwrites :
(((hugs))) Lets poke those marshmallows with a stick and roast them! ;)
from mgottlieb :
I would be willing to bet you a dollar that your friend lied to you simply because she was too ashamed to tell you the truth. I also imagine that her "new lease on life" and the attempt to reinvent herself has 150% to do with the guy. She's lucky she has you because, when this all falls apart-and, it WILL-you are the kind of person who will still be there for her. I hope she knows that she's inflicted some damage on your frindship, however. Oh, and as for not feeling like your writing is entertaining? I call bullshit, you don't have to be funny 24/7 to entertain us and, really, it shouldn't be about us, it's all you, baby :) Wow! I wrote a novel; didn't know I had it in me.
from spring-da1sy :
I liked that entry a lot. I can relate in so many ways. It does hurt deeply when a friend isn't honest with you, especially when there's no reason to lie. It sounds like she isn't quite sure what she wants. Having been there, I remember not wanting to talk about it because, frankly, I was afraid I didn't want the answer. Weird, huh? You're being a good friend, however, and I commend you for still standing by her. End of novel!
from dnyl22 :
Its good to vent and get things out once and awhile. Hopefully you can breathe a little sigh of relief. Still praying for your mom. Take care:)
from spring-da1sy :
You & your Mom have been in my prayers. Her faith can make a big difference in her recovery, along with all the support & love she's receiving from you and the family. Enjoy your weekend. Hugs
from dnyl22 :
Have a fun and relaxing getaway. I'll continue to keep you mom in my prayers :)
from mgottlieb :
Your love is your Mom's best medicine. I'll keep good thoughts for you all :)
from nixtress :
Enjoy your time on the river! Keeping your mom in my prayers.
from peytonsplace :
Oh god, Nicole, I am so sorry. I can only imagine what you are going through. I am keeping you and your mom in my prayers!
from dnyl22 :
Keep your head up and hang in there :)
from jamsjunction :
Thinking & Praying for your mom!
from mgottlieb :
I'll keep you and your family in my prayers.
from dnyl22 :
I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I'll be sure to add her in my prayers. Keep your head up, things'll get better. Take care :)
from caterpiller :
Hi.. thanks for stopping by and the kind words ;)
from nixtress :
I understand that completely. Some days are better than others, when it comes to motivation of ANY kind. I really am torn because I've been here for so long...but it doesn't feel the same. *sigh* It's like moving into a new home---takes me forever to make that choice! :)
from dnyl22 :
Hope things are ok, you haven't updated in a few days. BTW, what's your sister-in-laws name? She just looks familiar. :)
from nixtress :
The pictures were wonderful! You have a great family. I'm glad it went so well and that you enjoyed yourself. Are you ready for school yet?
from jamsjunction :
Divorce is so sad, even when your an outside looking in. I hope that everything turns out for the greater good. Bless Morgans heart for being such a good friend to.
from dnyl22 :
I'm sorry to hear about what your friend is going through. She's lucky to have a friend like you. Hang in there:)
from spring-da1sy :
Your mom sure must be one fantastic lady if you're anything like her! Mason's room sounds great-would love to see pictures! A fridge in his room? He's going to be the envy of all of his friends. Enjoy the movie. I hope the kids are good for you.
from suz324 :
Hey! What about an update, lady! :) I miss you like crazy.
from dnyl22 :
That is so awesome that you have such a great relationship with your husband. I hope I get to a point in my life when I can say things like that and when I can put myself on the list of important people. Take care:)
from twisted-mind :
Girls weekend sounds so fun. I've never had enough adult friends to do anything like that. I'm glad you had fun you so deserve it after all the running around you've done with soccer and stuff.
from laila726 :
Thanks for the birthday wishes! :) I'm sure that Sunday will be a blast! I'll be sure and post a bunch of pictures. When I told my hubby about Prince getting divorced on my birthday he was like, "well, it was nice knowing ya! I'm sure you'll be moving to Minneapolis now!" HA HA HA!!
from mgottlieb :
Sounds like you had a great vacation! It's good to have you back :)
from ingridwrites :
My anniversary was the 12th! Happy belated anniversary to you!
from laila726 :
Where are you at woman?!?!
from jamsjunction :
I just wanted to let you know that I have moved my blog. I am now at http://simplyjamie.wordpress.com . I look forward to seeing you there from now on.
from spring-da1sy :
Wow, Chickadee-you've certainly got a lot on your mind right now. It makes me sick to think of the medical profession and the way they get away with actions like you described. But they do. All the time. I'm sorry your father was mistreated in the past as well as this recent development. He & your mom will be in my prayers. You will, too, because you seriously need a break! Take it easy. Hugs
from mgottlieb :
I hope everything works out for your Dad; what a sucky way to be treated by medical "professionals". Enjoy your time away!
from groupie94 :
it's back now for you to read if so inclined... ( pretty boring stuff today tho )
from dnyl22 :
Wow, you remind me of us except with baseball!! Glad you guys had a good time at the concert. I took Brandon to his first concert in October. We seen Fall Out Boy. He just thought he was the coolest person when he went back to school with his t-shirt and a pic in front of the tour bus!! You gotta enjoy these times though b/c before we know it, it won't be "cool" to go to a concert with your mom. Glad to see ya stopped by!! Talk at ya soon:)
from reese219 :
Nope you didn't miss it...my bro just gave me an early b-day present. My b-day is saturday the 15th. Thanks sweetie!
from groupie94 :
Girl you worry too much about things that just don't matter... Relax it's all GOOD...! I'll pack it up and send it out tomorrow... Look close... if I am really nice I may have something in there for you and Miss Morgan as well... ;P
from groupie94 :
Shut the hell up ... as if you need to pay me...!!! When I get to GB - Hopefully sometime yet this summer, You my friend can buy me a drink...sound good... ???
from ingridwrites :
It did fade. Thankfully! Yikes. It was warm and tingly like love gel or something. Haha! Creepy that it did that to my skin...
from twisted-mind :
Is Jury duty done yet?
from mgottlieb :
They do grow up so fast. Enjoy her special day and have a great weekend!
from ingridwrites :
Yes, it is strange how time doesn't change things like that. I was a bit embarrassed that she turned around like that in the aisle and just stood there and stared at me until I turned the corner. I feel sorry for her. That was like 15 years ago now!
from spring-da1sy :
Awwww-that was beautiful! Happy Birthday, Morgan.
from peytonsplace :
AWWW, Happy Birthday Morgan!
from spring-da1sy :
Sorry, no Sarge in Maryland as far as I can tell. Also, thanks for the input yesterday-your words rang loud & clear, and your advice and that of another friend helped me work up the courage to approach another conversation last night.
from spring-da1sy :
Make it 7 states-I'll look in Maryland. I'm planning on hitting Wal Mart tomorrow anyway. Have a great weekend.
from nixtress :
Congrats on test #1 and I'm keeping you in my prayers for #2. Big hugs.
from ingridwrites :
Vegas baby! Next month ;)
from suz324 :
I did it! I did it! I actually used links on my diary. :) Check it out and tell me what you think. :)
from ingridwrites :
Thank you, Nicole.
from nixtress :
I hope you feel better soon. I can sympathize---it hasn't been that long since I suffered from TheColdFromHell and it sucks. We moms just don't get a break.
from nixtress :
Happy Mother's Day!
from nixtress :
Poor kid! How scary :( I hope he feels better soon!
from nicolerenee :
I'm doing really well, thanks. I haven't been able to read up on you in a really long while...how are you doing lately??
from mgottlieb :
That breaks my heart. I hope Mason feels better soon and can at least enjoy his weekend.
from dnyl22 :
Just stopped by to say "HEY". Been awhile since I've been online. Take Care:)
from ingridwrites :
Ah, weak but also gorgeous! ;)
from ingridwrites :
Diets are for those of us who are not as naturally GORGEOUS as you are! ;) And, um, yeah... I'd come over and do your laundry.
from spring-da1sy :
Girl, I tell myself that too, but, I don't always listen.
from mgottlieb :
I feel your pain; the first time I got drunk in college, I fell down a flight of stairs and broke my taibone and it does hurt like a sonofabitch.I have since discovered that even bruising your tailbone is a painful experience not to be dismissed lightly. I recommend that you sit on a pillow or one of those bean bag pillow thingies until you heal. It should help a little. And, as for your co-workers; tell tham that you hurt yourself while busting your ass on your job, you know, UNLIKE them. That should make the tension at work just magically disapear. Or, you know...not.
from spring-da1sy :
Ouch. I'm glad you didn't break anything. Did anybody theorize as to why you fell and why you felt so odd afterward? I'd be a bit concerned about that too. Hope you feel better soon.
from nixtress :
Ouch! I'm a klutz too and am constantly finding some way to hurt myself. The best? I knocked myself out by stepping on a Matchbox car and smacking my head on the wall. I so understand. Feel better soon.
from mgottlieb :
Not pathetic at all. You just have a busy life!
from nixtress :
How scary! I can only imagine.
from mgottlieb :
I completely understand how you feel. We lost the Man-Cub in Target once and it was the worst ten minutes of my life. Glad she's ok and that it was just a huge screw-up on the school's part.
from nixtress :
Oh, my gosh! That's terrible.
from nixtress :
Just so you know, I lived vicariously through you on your trip :) Ya know, it's just been one of those years (so far). It's bound to get better---I just have good days and bad days. Better to vent in my dear old diary than to vent to someone who might resent it/repeat it/rebuff it. Know what I mean? I don't know that I have any more or less than what alot of people deal with...just feels like tons some days. Thanks for the thoughts :)
from mgottlieb :
It sounds like you had a fabulous time! I'm so jealous! But, you know, happy for you, too!
from jamsjunction :
I am so kicking myself in the ass. Indy is only about 1.25 hours from me. I would have drove that just to meet you, even if we just had a drink together. DAMNIT! I'm glad your home, and had a great time.
from spring-da1sy :
I'm glad you're back-you were missed! Sounds like you had a great time. Now, to get all that lundry done...
from rollynn :
OMG!!! You rock, have a super fun time & enjoy the time away from work :-)
from mgottlieb :
I am so jealous! If you do get to meet Erica, you better give her a big ol' hug from me! Have fun!

She is funneling traffic to the domain she owns - also on that domain is are click thru links that she gets paid for whenever someone clicks on them. I think she is making money off this insane nonsense, that's what I really think.
from ingridwrites :
You can come to dinner at my house ANY time!! ;)
from mgottlieb :
That was a beautiful entry.
from suz324 :
I MISS YOU TOO!!! :)
from spring-da1sy :
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY. I'm so sorry I missed it-I didn't forget, just was so busy.
from cmkern3 :
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY YOU HOT MOMMA!
from just2cusmile :
Chris was really good and I like Taylor and his gray hair too!!! Im glad that cocky girl got the boot and im also glad that the Amazing race is back on!!! :)
from nixtress :
Ok. I wasn't overly blown away by the AI girls yesternight, either. I have to say that the one who sang the Reba song (Lord, I can't remember her name--how bad is THAT?) was pretty darned good. Tonight's AI boys were alrite. Loved Chris (love that Fuel song anyway and he was phenomenal), loved Taylor, loved Elliott---he may not LOOK like an Idol but he has the pipes. And I think the first half hour of this season's Amazing Race was better than almost the entire last season. Nothing against the family version but this is so much more faster paced! Glad to see you're updating regularly again :)
from jamsjunction :
I am with you..Last night kinda sucked. But we love Kelly Pickler. I just want to fold her up and put me in my back pocket..I also like Lisa..But Im excited for tonight..I love Chris, and Taylor.
from spring-da1sy :
OMG-that is so beautiful!
from twisted-mind :
That is the sweetest thing. :o)
from twisted-mind :
I'm soooo glad your birthday went so well. Happy belated birthday!
from mgottlieb :
What a fantastic birthday! And, a great husband, of course!
from laila726 :
WOW! What a nice hubby! Isn't it wonderful when they get you gifts that you actually want?! BRAVO AARIC!
from jamsjunction :
I'm so with you on the winter funk. Our winter, like yours has been mild, but old man winter is being sure to let us know he isnt finished just yet. Jackass he is! Ohh, and Brenna is the girl, that thinks shes a Diva already on American Idol. The girl who Simon told to bring the Claws back out! I cant stand her..I cant wait to hear what Aric and the kids for you for your birthday...You're turning 31 to this year right?
from twisted-mind :
a small wedding is less than 100 people? I must have had a teenie tiny wedding then. Happy early Birthday. Hope your weekend rocks.
from suz324 :
Is there ever a time when we're not thinking the same thing?
from spring-da1sy :
Feel better, Hon. Hugs
from peytonsplace :
That stinks. I'm becoming addicted!
from cmkern3 :
American Idol - I love the guy with the gray hair - he's tres cool.
from spring-da1sy :
I hope by now YOU'RE all warm & snuggly, and SAFE.
from mgottlieb :
BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!! And, have a great weekend!
from ameliorating :
Happy Valentine's Day!!
from wannagowest :
Very sweet note! You got yourself a good man. And Happy Valentine's Day from me!
from nixtress :
I was blown away (no pun intended). Here I am, thinking that the bomb squad guy would totally be a cute love interest for Meredith (even though I'm really holding out for McDreamy) and then BOOM! H.O.L.Y. C.O.W.
from spring-da1sy :
Sounds like Mama needs some time to herself. I used to escape in a nice, hot bath. Nobody dared bother me there! Hope you feel better soon.
from nixtress :
Thank you. It's funny how you can feel like your traveling along the slightly less bumpy of paths and find a huge pothole smack dab in the middle of it. I'll be fine, always am. Just...sore right now. Thanks for stopping in and sending comforting vibes :)
from groupie94 :
ok ok you've charmed me ... after I finish the scarf I am making for "Toatcrumbs" your gonna get one... =P
from groupie94 :
"a special something" is totally unnecessary you know... I like to make things and share them with my friends... Just happy you liked them.
from ingridwrites :
Thanks for the cheering up. I know what I don't want. Now I just gotta figure out what I do want. ;)
from mgottlieb :
Busy does NOT = Bad Friend. Busy is just life's way of reminding you that you are needed :)
from spring-da1sy :
It's good to hear all is well. I'm sure you'll do a bang-up job on that website.
from reese219 :
Hey Nicole! Thanks for the sweet note. I really appreciate that. I think everything is going to be fine.Just keep your fingers crossed for me. Thanks again! I'll undate and let everyone know what's up.
from ingridwrites :
Heh. I rooted for the Steelers on Saturday. Give the Hawks some credit! They worked hard for this. Also? If they lose...it could be bad with the Mr Depression at my house. GO HAWKS!
from laila726 :
You're such a dork! It's funny cause that's my "salon" name at work too. The make-up department manager is Dawn, so I had to change my name. Laila is my middle name and I was named after my great grandmother. Although it looks easy to say... it's actually pronounced as lie-la. And get your kids a pet! :P
from spring-da1sy :
You have been missed. Perhaps the new boss will lighten up after he gets things to run how he would like. We can hope, can't we? Sorry for Mason-feel better, little Bud! Hugs
from cleanstart :
I did have a good weekend! It was stressfree, unlike today!!Thanks for the note. I hope things are working out well with the new boss man!
from spring-da1sy :
Oh geez-that sucks. I hope the day has improved since. Hugs
from cleanstart :
2 days and no update. This boss needs to get out of the way. lol
from spring-da1sy :
I hope he turns out to be a great fit for the job. Looking forward to hearing all about it.
from mgottlieb :
I hope your holidays were fantastic! I'm currently digging out from under the crap piled on my desk and it is going to take me forevvver to catch up on my diary reading!
from ingridwrites :
I was so worried when he hurt his shoulder at the end of the game! I thought 'What a terrible way to go out!'
from ameliorating :
Hey, its Jen (formerly Tigerlily21). I've moved to a new diary and just wanted to let you know! If you could please take Tigerlily off your buddy list, I would really appreciate it! Thanks!
from jamsjunction :
May health, happiness, and good times greet you & your family everyday of 2006! Happy New Year!
from nixtress :
I think it's pretty neat that we started in Dland around the same time too. Does it seem that long ago to you? Happy New Year (early)! Sounds like you're going to be one busy chicka! I hope it rings in well for you and yours :)
from passing-go :
Thanks Nicole. I wish I could come. Hope your party is a blast and you and your family have a great New Year!
from moodymama :
i'm glad you had a great christmas. you totally deserved to, you hard-working woman!!! :)
from cmkern3 :
Let me know how the body wave goes as I've been considering one myself!!
from cleanstart :
Yes, it went quick. I can't believe that we are days away from 2006!! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
from la-blue-eyez :
I wanted to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year!
from jamsjunction :
Merry Merry Christmas to you & your family!
from suz324 :
I miss you.
from tigerlily21 :
Merry Christmas!! Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
from laila726 :
Merry Christmas, Nicole! How proud you must be of Miss Morgan! Atta girl!
from nixtress :
Merry (early) Christmas!
from ingridwrites :
Thanks. I'm glad it is over!
from mgottlieb :
Have a Merry Christmas!
from mgottlieb :
Wow. We both had stellar parenting days yesterday! I swear, its a good thing kids are so resilient, wish I could say the same for us :)
from laila726 :
"He remembers nothing of that evening, including relieving himself in our front yard when we came home, and then falling over backwards in the snow." ~ HA HA HA HA HA!!! Freakin husbands. Gotta love them! :)
from jamsjunction :
I say, since you seemed to have been delegated as the Christmas angel this year..have Christmas Dinner catered by the grocery store, or restraunt. Most grocery stores offer complete dinners, in many different price ranges. All that is required is you pick it up and shove it in the oven to warm it up on christmas morning. Then, you spend more time ejoying family, then cleaning up after the dinner mess. Unless you want to hibernate in the kitchen away from the family. ((HUGS))
from mgottlieb :
You, my dear, are a saint. I would only shop for my mother in law if she was bedridden and I might not do it then. Ok, yes, yes I would. But, still! You are a saint!
from ingridwrites :
HAHA! The thing is, I was drunk...but I wasn't THAT drunk. It was still fun. Just not the next day (or today either!). Hope you are feeling better today!
from cmkern3 :
Long time no....read!!! I've been away, had tonsils plucked out! Yay!!! Except, not. Missed ya!!
from cleanstart :
Your Welcome, it's definitely something that I need to start living by! I'm horrible with forgivness!
from groupie94 :
Yea that bookmark I sent you... it happened to be the one and only one of that kind I made... Now I have no idea what it looks like or I would replicate a new one just like it for you... If you email me your address ( again since I am a dumbass and I only have it on my work comp ) I can send you some other homemade ones ( it will give me a project to do...!!!) I am glad you liked it...!!!
from cleanstart :
I'm happy to say that yes, I do have my gifts already wrapped. Well, let me rephrase... I have all the gifts that I've bought so far wrapped. I think I counted 8 gifts under the tree. This online shopping rocks!
from spring-da1sy :
Your entire life is a whirlwind of activity, isn't it? Hahaha Poor Mason-it's tough when you "don't feel like yourself". That's too cute.
from nixtress :
I hope your Turkey Day went very well :) Sorry this note is so belated. This is the first time I've been online since Tuesday.
from nixtress :
How funny! I'll bet it was a blast, just for the giggles :) Thanks for the pics!
from spring-da1sy :
Thank You :-)
from jamsjunction :
Ohh myyy goodneeeeeess! You're right he isnt sexy...and his g-string is dangling a bit to much as though it were fairly empty. He is to metrosexual for me.
from nixtress :
Sounds like you had a great time :) Yours, Mine and Ours sounds fun. I'm looking forward to Cheaper by the Dozen 2, as well. I loved the first one. Nope, nothing from ThatCousin. In fact, the last time I was even in the same breathing space as she was, she barely spoke to me and only when I pushed the topic. I'm not planning on going to the family Turkey Day because of that fact. I think it'll be extremely uncomfortable and have made other plans. We'll go to Christmas, when she won't be there. It's unfortunate, really. She's since begun a blog and details her efforts to overcome grudges...made me laugh just a little. Can't wait to see pics of the strippers!
from mgottlieb :
Have a great time with the girls!
from spring-da1sy :
I hope Morgan is up to par soon. Hugs
from mgottlieb :
I hope Morgan gets better soon! And, damn right work will just have to suck it, kids come first. I'll be thinking of you guys.
from jamsjunction :
your Monday posts make me so tired lol..you do so much! Hope Morgan feels better soon, and you take sometime, somewhere this week, for yourself. Even if its a trip alone to the grocery store..((HUGS))
from spring-da1sy :
You are a wonderful, loving mother, and saying no occasionally isn't the end of the world. You make me remember the days when I'd sit on the kitchen floor and play GI Joes or Legos with Jeff! Those are the best memories & trust me - he remembers too!
from ingridwrites :
Thank you so much. If I could give you a giant hug (or a night out with your husband!), I certainly would!
from spring-da1sy :
That is an awesome picture. You've got to wonder what they're thinking. I bet Dad is brimming with pride! Enjoy your day at home. Hope the little one isn't too bad off.
from spring-da1sy :
Oooh-oooh! What do you do the bogus copy people? I just put them on eternal hold while "I go get that information". Your method sounds like so much more fun!
from spring-da1sy :
Hey, don't knock the cottonballs! Aren't they easier to clean up than...say...ketchup on the kitchen table? ;-) You have a sweet man there. Hugs
from mgottlieb :
Wow, that like totally sucks for Mercedes. It is such a drag when you can't find your baby daddy, especially when he gives you a fake cell phone number. Of course, that was probably just a mistake, right? I'm sure he is totally in love with her and meant to call but has just been busy. Riiiiight.
from foursquare :
Ouch, what a hell of a message...
from jamsjunction :
I dont know if Mason is to old for the "Boogieman Spray" my sister used for her girls when they were little. She got a spray bottle, and filled it with water, and put a few drops of lavender in the bottle with it. Made a label on it that said "Boogy-man-be-gone Spray" and every night she would mist it in there rooms, and it made them feel better. I hope he isnt scared much longer, so you can have your bed back! ((HUGS))
from freetobemee :
Keep it coming...you'll only feel better in the end...and we're hear for ya! As far as Mason goes, Sierra is doing the same thing to me, lately, so I know how you feel - she is also having total melt downs over the smallest things, having to be by my side, literally. Constantly. I know exactly how you feel...you're literally screaming "SHUTUP!" on the inside, but you don't say it, you hold back, and you should be proud of that!! You'll get through it, you know that already, which is exactly why you get thru these kinds of things. Hold on - you'll get thru it!
from mgottlieb :
We have all been there, hon. Don't be ashamed to have a mini-breakdown every once in a while, it can be quite cathartic and you may find yourself feeling better, I know I always do after I take a moment to privately lose my shit. Just know that there are a lot of people who care about you and how you are doing and, if you need to talk, we are here for you.
from spring-da1sy :
I'm sorry things are overwhelming you at the time. I wish I could do something. It sounds like you need 10 minutes alone with your pillow-for crying...or punching-whichever works for you! Until you can take time to come to terms with all of this...hugs.
from nixtress :
The kids' costumes were darling. I'll bet they had fun :) And Grey's Anatomy was good. Not what I expected but good anyway.
from jamsjunction :
Trxie is so very lucky to have a wonderful friend in you. But please dont think you have to be strong at all times. Your breaking point has to come. But know that we are here for you, and will help you the best we can along the way.
from starlight42 :
ahhh, I remember now. I checked out the other diary a month or so ago. Boy, now I feel like I can really relate because I hate feeling as you do, when watching a friend go through tough crap. She's so lucky to have you though. You guys seem like you have a wonderful friendship and that is so rare to find and keep! Thanks for the note by the way.
from spring-da1sy :
By the way, thank you from the bottom of my heart, for the info on Cancer Centers. They were helpful. For more details, see today's entry. Even if nothing comes of it, the operator has renewed our hope. Hugs
from spring-da1sy :
Oh dear, that's so sad. That's not a good thing to have to look foward to. Poor thing. Being positive is the very best you can do for her. You're a wonderful friend, and she is so lucky to have you there for her. Hugs
from twisted-mind :
Damn that sucks. I was really hoping for you both that it wouldn't turn out that way. Positive is good... you can be her strength.
from cmkern3 :
My daughter's growing her bangs out right now too! Weird...I thought it was such an odd request for an 8-year old no? So, yeah we've been doing the whole headband/barretts/clipy things as well...
from cmkern3 :
First of all, thanks a LOT for the 867-5309 song that will now be in my head until, oh, Christmas. Second, methinks that a 4-hour trip back to IL to get a new sweatshirt is EXACTLY what you need, except don't bring kids and nevermind the sweatshirt shopping - just hook up w/me and head out to drink!!! :)
from twisted-mind :
Just wait til hubby starts annoying you then you can pop him in the side of the head with one of your rubberbands. They are easy to slip off with your tongue, now you just have to practice the aim. My sister is 39 and she has braces so don't fret too much. Braceface. ;o)
from mgottlieb :
I am totally flashing back to the seventh grade! I HATED the rubber bands then. Ironically, I grew to love them when the GIrl was a baby and they were the only things that would hold a pony-tail in her hair. Hang in there! You are going to have a beautiful smile when all is said and done.
from spring-da1sy :
Ugh! I remember the discomfort of those rubber bands. I was always in hot water for not wearing them. Feeling your pain! Hugs
from liquid-mojo :
I actually had a nice b-day celebration despite all the feelings laid out in my last entry. Thank you though for the kind note. =)
from cmkern3 :
You're so freakin' sweet - you brought tears to my eyes! Damn I wish I lived in Green Bay!! ;)
from ingridwrites :
I actually asked her quite early this morning if she'd like to stay home with me and she smiled so big. How could I say no? I feel lucky to be able to stay home with her.
from mgottlieb :
Great pictures, I didn't laugh once! HAve a great weekend!
from cmkern3 :
Awwww...awesome pics. Your senior pictures ROCK honey!! Mine are *hopefully* locked away forever never ever to be seen.
from spring-da1sy :
Sounds like you're the lucky one. I wonder if men realize how much little gestures like that mean?
from spring-da1sy :
Baby pictures of all of you, and high-school pictures of you. They're always so much fun. Go, Mason!
from spring-da1sy :
Wow-some people sure know how to make a mess of their lives, don't they? Like you alluded to, they don't seem to realize it. I've known two other sets of brothers and a set of sisters who were similarly opposite. Can't figure them out either!
from mgottlieb :
Greeeaat...maybe the journal isn't such a great idea. I guess I will let her figure that out for herself, though. Have a great, relaxing weekend!
from mgottlieb :
I pray. And I will do so for your friend.
from spring-da1sy :
That's so sad. My mother had RA, and I know, without googling, how horrid it can get. Not being able to pick up her baby-that's the WORST! She's lucky to have you for a friend. I'm sure you'll do your best to be there for her and comfort her through it. Hugs
from cmkern3 :
Wow! So demanding! Ok - since you were so forceful - there's a new one up. And thank you for the bday wishes!
from mgottlieb :
I can't believe I missed Orlando :( Guess I better make sure to see Elizabethtown when it opens this weekend!
from stephielove :
thank you for your visit! Life in my parts hasn't been exciting lately, though. :) Your template is wonderful (and btw, I've had the same thing happen with my mom once - I tried to call, she didn't answer, she hadn't shown up for work... freak out! It's completely natural.)
from spring-da1sy :
Glad to hear from you. I was missing you. I know, I'm thinking about Christmas too. Why do people look at you like you're from outer space if you want to do your shopping before, say...Christmas Eve?!!!
from cmkern3 :
Hehehe...toooo funny. Your entry reminded me of the email you sent out not too long ago about submitting my birthday for your calendar that I forgot to do. Because I very devilishly thought about how I was going to add to your list of "friends who have birthdays in October." I'm an awful e-friend. BUT! On the bright side just a birthday shout out on your diary is good enough for me! :) :) Smooches!
from mgottlieb :
Congrats on the weight loss! Sorry about the pain, though :(
from freetobemee :
Woooo-Hoooo!! Let's hear it for good times in Tommyhawk! That used to be our "family retreat" every year when I was married! Good times, good times!! Glad you had fun...you hottie harley honey you! ;)
from nixtress :
Thank you for your sweet note. It's hard sometimes for me to accept that just because I want my family to be Brady-esque, doesn't mean they're GOING to be that way. Sounds like you had a good and exciting weekend! Naked drunk girls!
from nixtress :
I curled up on my bed with my boys tonight and we watched the first episode of Survivor. They loved it and I loved our time together :) Sorry work is stressing you out. Perhaps a nice human sacrifice would turn the tide :P Channeling my own Mayan influences!
from cmkern3 :
I swear I could start a new blog devoted entirely to nothing but bitching about work.
from suz324 :
Wow... I had no idea... Is this for real? Everyone is blaming the president for all the problems, but is it really the Mayor of NO and the Governor of LA?
from suz324 :
My thoughts and prayers are with your friend.
from cmkern3 :
Are your friends brother's initals RH???
from jamsjunction :
I think James is leaving this Thursday..since they are back dooring him. As long as Howie doesnt do anything between now and then to make then switch there votes. I'm loving RockStar to..I wish I would have gotten in on it in the beginning. I really love Jordis, Mig & Ty the best..Marty scares me how tense and freaky he looks sometimes, almost possesed...I think JD is lazy, and going home tonight. I thought he was very disrespectful on last nights episode when he didnt bother to learn the song INXS wrote..and the other girl..shoot I forget her name..Deanna? No thats not right..Susie..Her voice is kinda cool..but Im not sure about her. That sucks that the Packers are interupting BB6!
from cmkern3 :
Awww....baby...I didn't mean to make you cry!!! :( :(
from nixtress :
Sounds like you were having one heck of a fun day with your hubby. Hope that things calmed a bit as the day wore on. Thank you for your sweet note about my sis. I don't know why my mother continues to surprise me when I know perfectly well what she's like...guess we all have our days, eh? Have a great weekend!
from mgottlieb :
Oh thank god! I was starting to think that your husband was perfect and I just got a lemon. Whew! On the other hand, damn men!
from spring-da1sy :
Oh my, my, my! Isn't it funny how men are about their days off? Like you said, moms are 24/7-what happened there that Dads get a day off? Hah! Men!
from spring-da1sy :
Hey proud Mom-that's great! Don't worry, we all become our mothers. It's inevitable. Just worry when you start accepting it! It's one of those times you know what you're doing is wrong, but oddly, it seems to make sense!
from cmkern3 :
Wow!!! Mason is a Mr. SMARTY PANTS!! That's awesome that he gets the concept so young!!! You may have a little Einstein on your hands!!! And - GOOOOOO UWM!! God, I love Madison more than any other city in Wisconsin...if I ever make it to law school - that's where I'll go without a doubt.
from alwaysnaive :
Thanks for the note you left me today (8/22). BF was able to call me when he got to the church where the funeral is, so that kept me from worrying so much. I'm sure he'll be fine, but worrying is my specialty. No wait, complaining about my health problems is my specialty. Or wait, complaining about my weight is my specialty. ^_^
from twisted-mind :
Awww what great pictures. Happy Birthday to your little man. I wonder if its because they are little boys or our last little boys but they are so very special. I really don't want mine to grow anymore either. Stay young son, Momma needs ya. :o) Hope his birthday is a blast!
from nixtress :
Your Mason is adorable. It's amazing how quickly time flies, isn't it? We blink much more and they'll be graduating. *sigh* Glad to hear that you and yours made it through the storms okay. That can be scary! Have a great weekend!
from nixtress :
Thank you. I think they're pretty cute but I'm biased :) I was the one TAKING the pics, therefore wasn't IN them. I love how that works :D
from mgottlieb :
The Cub missed the deadline by a little less than a month and I am so glad that he did. The extra year makes a huge difference in a boy's school performance, they just aren't quite as mature as girls are at that age. And, I feel ya, five was hard for me, too..
from cmkern3 :
Awe. Some!
from reese219 :
Tomahawk/Rhinelander/Merril area. My husband's grandparents have land near there and his aunt also has a cabin we are using this weekend. Using an outhouse for the weekend and not having running water is not my idea of fun but its set on a nice lake and not really far from town.So should be interesting. Yes, we should get together sometime! That would be awesome!
from mgottlieb :
Husbands, bah! You want me to knock him over the head with a skillet?
from spring-da1sy :
You Wild Thing, You! I'm glad you enjoyed yourself.
from freetobemee :
You are TOO funny! Nights out with Tim like the one you had with Aric are my dreams come true!! :) Nothing better than being the "bigger" person, while tapping a little salt in the ex's wound!! LOVE IT!! :) Glad you had an awesome night!!
from jamsjunction :
You dirty dirty girl *giggles*. Glad you had a great weekend. I'm glad to see I'm not the only woman who enjoys running into the husbands ex's...one perticular one of Scotts sounds very simular to your husbands psycho ex. It just gives me great pleasure to see her glare when we see her out. Have a great week!
from alwaysnaive :
Thank you for the birthday note you left me!
from mgottlieb :
What an awesome child you are raising! You have every right to be proud :)
from freetobemee :
Magic Eraser?! I like it! I bought one when we moved to get rid of the scuffs on the wall. Funny thing, though, it seemed to me to have the appearance & texture of liquid whiteout...very strange. It doesnt get out ALL spots, but it does the trick! :) ENJOY!!
from groupie94 :
No clue on where the felon might reside, My guess is probably places you wouldn't be seen dead in anyway... =) Seriously though I am thinking probably downtown GB somewhere... I was just going off of the office that was listed as his parole or whatever on the website...
from alwaysnaive :
Damn you and all your typos, Nicole! Just kidding; I didn't even notice any typos. Sounds like you had a killer vacation and it's sad that it had to end. Thanks for sharing it with us.
from spring-da1sy :
Glad you're back. Sounds like you had a blast. I can't wait for the details! How did he propose? Was it romantic?
from untamedwings :
Welcome Back ♥
from spring-da1sy :
Wowowow! So much activity! Enjoy it. Can't wait to hear all about the fun.
from her-story :
OK I concede, sort've... some people LIKE minivans and find them useful. I, however, cannot justify having one... only because the majority of my town tools around in minivans... or huge SUVs... for 1-2 kids. EEK! I swore to myself, on the phonebook, that I'd never ever EVER own a minivan. Once you have one, everyone assumes that you'll be chauffer to their kids and the neighbors' kids and the kids from the next town over. Seen it, and it ain't pretty. That's why I stick w/ my mini-SUV... I have room for 5... and with the carseat and myself, that leaves room for 3. Since I have 2 kids not in carseats... I actually have room for 1 extra human when my husband isn't w/ me. That kinda takes care of the whole "you wouldn't mind taking my kid to [timbuktu], would you?" (even when I'm not going anywhere near it.) I'm FREE!!! WOOHOO!!
from nixtress :
I hope you enjoy the time off. Sounds like it'll be packed to the gills! Thank you for the kind words. To be honest, I was really blown out of the water that she got that peeved over what I'd written. It was only the one entry and that particular entry really didn't say much of anything about her in a negative way. She sent a rather nasty and angry email yesterday but I've finally decided that I've apologized as much as I can and am going to. I can't do anything else. She needs to get a perspective on it :P Again, have fun!
from freetobemee :
Yessireebob we are going to the same place you went! I can't wait! I needs me some girl time!! :)
from peytonsplace :
"My brother is proposing to his girlfriend at this party. I'm the only one that knows! I can't wait" I hope they don't read this. haha
from nixtress :
I sent you the password. Let me know if you don't get it.
from her-story :
Tell that lazy-good-for-nothing-sorta-neighbor of mine to answer MY email. One day, I'm gonna drive up to his house and litter his front lawn with tampon-deflecting blowup characters... ALL OF THEM... complete with the light-up-motion ones that sing, dance, and juggle snowballs.
from mgottlieb :
Pictures coming soon! I promise!
from ocd-and-me :
Everything's pretty much ok. If you want to drop me a line at nikkifoofooATgmailDOTcom I'll get a password for ya : )
from peytonsplace :
Thank you dear! No rush, the first deadline's not until October. :)
from cmkern3 :
Awwww - that picture is AWESOME!
from rollynn :
Wow, you two look so perfect together in that pic. What a cute couple :) Congrats & Happy Anniversary.
from foursquare :
What a great picture of you guys!
from moodymama :
i'm glad that you had a great time!! love the pic of the babies. :) btw, what the hell happened to your comments link? you must know that i love you if i resort to leaving diaryland notes, right?
from cmkern3 :
Have a GREAT weekend you lucky girl!!! I don't have much planned - we have this big annual "old car" event in my city, whereby hundreds upon hundreds of awesome classic cars go downtown and drive around/rev their engines/compare penis sizes while people gawk admiringly and breathe in exhaust fumes all night. Normally I'd be one of the gawkers but Chuck has a beautiful classic (71??) Corvette we're taking down there this year. So that's all I've got planned. Woooohoooo!! :)
from peytonsplace :
I didn't think I should be alone in the Dora madness. bawhahahah Oh, and 10 pounds in 2 months, YOU GO GIRL!
from nixtress :
Happy 4th, Nic. Glad to see you had a great time with the girls and I hope your 4th of July weekend finds you safe and having fun. :)
from untamedwings :
What a blast! The cabin looks so cool!
from twisted-mind :
Hope your girls weekend is wonderful!
from just2cusmile :
Thank You so much for your warm thoughts for my son Doug-his surgery went well-now comes the long recovery!!
from mgottlieb :
Do you ever find yourself wondering whatever happened to lazy summers? Or is it just me?
from her-story :
Well, I have to call myself something, right? So, since I'm doing research for my thesis...I'm gonna call myself a "Researcher." (hehe)
from spring-da1sy :
What a cutie! Nice entry.
from jamsjunction :
Yesterday was just an off kind of day it seemed for both of us. I'm not sure what it was, or why...but I do feel somewhat better today. I hope you do to! ((HUGS))
from alwaysnaive :
Believe it or not, I hate to work out even though I do it almost every day. My biggest motivator is guilt. I feel nagging guilt in the back of my mind if I haven't worked out yet, so I do it basically just to make that go away. How sad is that? I almost wish I could get braces so I'd lose ten pounds...OK, not really, because I already had braces years ago. Are we going to see pics of you with your braces??
from rollynn :
Thank you for all of your positive support... you are awesome. If I understand some of your entries you live by Fondy...so when I have my house warming party you are more than welcome to come too (it's up by Appleton). Tomorrow is my big day I think...I'm super nervous yet so very excited. I hope you feel better, I've had days like that too & I know it's hard to just make it through them (especially at work) Hang in there & God Bless you & your family.
from twisted-mind :
((((Nicole))))
from rollynn :
Hey I'm starting to wish you were my mom...lol. If the weather stays how it's been this week they will be able to use it a lot this summer. Ever notice how in Wisconsin it will be nice & hot & sunny during the week but shitty on the weekend when you have off?!?! I hope we have a nice weekend very soon so they can try it out.
from alwaysnaive :
Thanks for the nice note you left me the other day. I'm feeling much better now. ^_^ That water slide looks awesome. Why didn't they have stuff like that when I was a kid??
from freetobemee :
Aw COOL!!! Can I come over?! ;) hee-hee!
from cmkern3 :
Holy cow that thing is AWESOME!!! I want one!!!
from mgottlieb :
The kids are going to LOVE that!
from peytonsplace :
Go Morgan!
from cmkern3 :
That's right baby!
from mgottlieb :
I'll keep reading as long as you keep writing. I am, however, totally jealous of your weight loss. Maybe the secret is braces. No wonder I was such a skinny bitch in junior high ;)
from cmkern3 :
Don't you threaten to stop!!! *I* still read faithfully!!! :) :) You hardly write anymore!!! :( :(
from mgottlieb :
Have a great Girls Day! The tee shirts sound amazing!
from alwaysnaive :
I'll keep reading your diary as long as you keep writing. Don't stop writing!
from lovenatalie :
Thanks for the comment. It's nice to come here and share some thoughts that I can't in the real world.
from mgottlieb :
Your family is going to LOVE this gift! We did DVDs for my parents and for my in-laws for Christmas this year and even my evil mother in law was moved to tears. Do you suppose that means the end of the world is near? Anyway, congratulations on getting them done, I had to hire someone to burn the DVDs for me as I didn't have the program. Out of curiosity, which program did you buy?
from bettyalready :
Hope your mothers day was good. Braces suck. No two ways about it. Now I want a smoke. I feel for you. Brace wax was a very good thing.
from manda-d :
Thanks for your encouraging note :-) Happy Mother's Day to you as well.
from nixtress :
Happy Mother's Day to you as well. Hope you become adjusted to those braces soon :)
from her-story :
OMG...they nearly got the one I had told them about. Instead, one side has lil ladybugs and daisies and on the inside is green plaid. (like mint or sage, not forest green) Let me know if your store has them. Oh, and btw....HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!
from nicolerenee :
Ugh, I had braces...they are horrible, they must be better now, after 10 years! Happy Momma's Day!
from cmkern3 :
Good luck w/the braces!!!!
from mgottlieb :
I remember how much the spacers suck and it's been YEARS ago. I hope you are getting the new fangled braces that they glue on to the front of the teeth rather than the old ones that are a full band around the tooth. I had the full band and they used this torture device to put them on, we called it the THUMPER and that mother HURT! Hang in there, you are going to have perfect teeth to go with your beautiful personality :)
from nixtress :
Thank you for the note. I'm just blown away by how much we've all been sick this year. It's ridiculous!
from just2cusmile :
THANK YOU for the nice thoughts and well wishes!! Your right~Friday cant get here quick enough for me but im staying positive!! :)
from suz324 :
You two are sooo sweet... :)
from untamedwings :
Ahhh. A nice connecting weekend. What a difference they make :)
from alwaysnaive :
Thanks for the nice note you left me. I will definitely be writing about how the new job goes, and boy I hope you're right that I'll be good at it. I'm so nervous!
from manda-d :
I have the EXACT same problem with my closet... and I can't ever find anything to wear either.
from untamedwings :
TY :)
from peytonsplace :
I know! I just want to give her a hug. So sad.
from peytonsplace :
yeah, me too. I've been reading his archives now and it's just heartbreaking. I can't even imagine. Peyton and I were watching it and he's telling me all about it, saying her name and everything, and there she is, this amazing little five year old who can't speak.
from cmkern3 :
Ohhhh my God that is hilarious about your dentist!! I mean, not what happened - but your rendition of it! Too funny!!
from nixtress :
I so agree! Nadia makes some bizarre faces. I think it's completely Anthony's turn to go. Constantine has charisma but Bo is a better singer, I think. Carrie kicks ass. I love the country flavor she adds (even though it's not a hardcore one). Of course, I'm just a little biased about Scott. Ohio and all that :P
from mgottlieb :
Your supervisor sux. Your husband and daughter, on the other hand, are bee-yoo-ti-ful!
from untamedwings :
She looks fab! Isn't it something how much an updo makes a little girl look? like a glimpse of how stunning they'll be in 10 years or something!
from nixtress :
She's darling! And you're right--she looks all grown up! (and alot like her daddy). It's great that he's there for her and that they're close. I'd have given anything to have my dad that way when I was her age. It sounds like you enjoyed your time, too. Thanks for the great update :)
from pashiesplace :
Do you want the PW?
from imadad2 :
Well, if you need any of those "happy hand" kids intimidated, I can send my kid over, or I can do it myself. Who says Diaryland isn't useful? I hope she had a great time. It looks like she did.
from imadad2 :
Awwww. Great pics. I have to say this. I am glad I have boys. I don't think I could handle my daughter dating and going to dances.
from nixtress :
I hope you have a grand time on your date tonight with your son. Sounds like Morgan and Dad are going to have fun, too. Keeping my fingers crossed that her hair is wonderful! Enjoy your time with your brother--it's nice that he's able to fly in and visit.
from peytonsplace :
As my one faithful reader, thanks! :)
from nicolerenee :
thanks for the note...xoxo
from peytonsplace :
okey dokey. I still want it to look better, but that'll work for now untill Des helps me out.
from nicolerenee :
Yes, definitely. I'm too impatient to find out at the birth! ;) But we were thinking about not telling anyone when we find out? XOXO
from cmkern3 :
Thanks for your note. You actually didn't miss anything, I chose not to write about that particular situation for a few reasons. There was sooo much going on at that time that to try to get it into words was virtually impossible. Thanks for the encouragement/assurement - you rock.
from mgottlieb :
I hear ya on the prices at Limited Too. The clothing is certainly cute but, mercy! The prices!
from her-story :
Ok... so check this out. I goto Old Navy and pick up what I THOUGHT was sale-item flipflops... only to find out that the fugly ones are $2.50 each...and the ones I bought were $10.50... so I quickly gave BACK the TWO pairs of $10.50 EACH flipflips and left. Dammit... they always find a way to ruin a good flipflop excursion.
from cmkern3 :
I like Carrie and Bo! I think it'll be one of them! :)
from tommy212 :
diaryland is stupid and won't let me unlock my diary. for now, username is tom, password is tom.
from peytonsplace :
yeah, the mam gets me every time too. Damn it! Oh, I know when I really feel it . . .when the kids at the grocery store walk you to your car. Oy Vey.
from manda-d :
Jason has already cut our grass twice this year!
from manda-d :
Oh good, cause I think that is the cutest part about that set! Thanks!
from iwanttotell :
Too cute!
from nicolerenee :
Thanks for the note, PS I have also come home to a little sleeping visitor in my laundry!
from peytonsplace :
Thanks so much for the sweet note. :) I'm feeling much better now.
from nixtress :
I really am. It was good to get away and even better to come home. Wanderlust is sated (for now) and I'm refreshed. We really did have a good time. Thanks for the notes :)
from imadad2 :
Awwwwwwwwwwwww!
from nicolerenee :
Thanks for your note. It seems like you really know where I'm coming from. I have decided to just put it behind me. As you know, I am a Christian, and I have prayed about this, and left it in God's hands. If he is meant to know, it will come out. If not, then it will stay in the back of my head forever, hopefully leaving!
from nixtress :
Happy Easter!
from her-story :
Thank you... thank you. OMG...that OBNOXIOUS Mykalea (sp) is GONE from Idol. It's about time. One more Barbara Striesand facial expression and I would've died. I'm not sure if it was just me or not, but when she sang didn't she sound like the Nanny? (Fran Drescher) OMG....and that "SIIIIIIMON....you have to go to MY prom" thing was getting on my nerves. Next off... that ukrainian kid. He's as irritating as Clay was.
from alwaysnaive :
What is this? The illustrious Andrew himself has left you a note? (What does 4 mean?) You crack me up talking about getting choked up while watching American Idol because I'm the same way. I have to fight back tears any time one of them does really well, especially Carrie because she's awesome and so cute! I guess I'm just imagining how I'd feel if I were her (or any of them) and how great it would feel to be singing so well on the US's most popular show.
from mgottlieb :
You are so lucky you are a gold member. I can't post. I could cry.
from andrew :

from her-story :
Anytime I can be of service...there's PLENTY of things that I've done that could make you laugh. Give me time, you'll learn most of them. :)
from manda-d :
It's 65 here... sunny, breezy, and gorgeous. You hate me don't you?
from her-story :
Ohhh... it sounded like a tooth shard thingy, but that blood clot thing sounds gross... Did you get dry socket? Or, did they tell you that you could get it, just to scare the crap outta you? (I hate dentists and that's reason #3.) I wouldn't sweat the braces... they have so many different kinds now... you can even get colored rubberbands for your brackets (hehe...JUST kidding). When I had ruptured my achilles a few years ago (my "too old to play softball with 18 year olds" moment), my doctor asked #2 son what COLOR he liked. He said "I like green AND blue." Well, guess what my doctor did to MY cast? You got it... for 1 month I had a green and blue striped cast. The next month was Easter and he replaced my cast with my #1 son's choice of PASTEL TIE-DYE. Yeah, try to interview for placements for student teaching w/ THAT on your foot. Fun times, fun times. In all, I had 5 casts and only one was BLACK... which matched my dress pants and shoes... (I made him fix the pastel one... because it had to be the UGLIEST cast color known to mankind and beyond.) Keep your chin up... and remember...NO JOLLY RANCHERS. *hugs*
from nixtress :
Kids. I don't remember trying my parents as much as my boys do me. I think it's a conspiracy. :)
from dangerspouse :
Fuck that - you're one of the people I was REALLY looking forward to whupping with this challang. Send me your damn addy and you'll get the cd AND the dollar (bet you thought I'd forgot that, huh?). When you lose - yes, "WHEN" - you can send me an empty bottle of some of that piss water you drink, so I can always remember you. And your lousy music guessing abilities. :)
from her-story :
It is a piece of tooth in that spot... when I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled, I felt this sharp thing in the hole (b/c I'm a pain in the ass...and kept feeling the area w/ my tongue). So, I called my doctor and she said it was a "tooth shard". It's painless to have them take it out... and it'll feel better once it is... besides, I know how you feel... I'm an anti-dentite myself. And, yeah, if I ever move to your neck of the woods, we'd def hang out. :) (And probably get into worlds of trouble in the process... heh)
from foursquare :
LoL, I wasn't sure if anyone would care that much on what the middle name is. Thanks for the compliments on the name by the way. :) Anyhow, the middle name is Bennett. It's actually my FIL's middle name and my husband loves it. He'd use it as a first name, and while I like it, I'm not into THAT much, but I'm cool with it for a middle name. I think the whole name sounds pretty good together, and I'm growing more and more fond of it as I think about it.
from groupie94 :
you my friend are a wonderful, wonderful person, and everyone makes mistakes it's what you do with your life and how you recover from the mistakes you make that counts... If we didn't get to make mistakes once in a while I don't think we would appreciate our lives as much...
from mgottlieb :
I try to think of my mistakes as "learning experiences". If you can learn from them and move on you grow as a person. Anyway, that is what I've always thought, personally. And you are too good of a person to dwell on your "learning experiences", anyway :)
from manda-d :
I have plenty to do... I just don't want to do any of it. Blah. I spent HOURS last night doing laundry. I hate laundry. 30 more minutes *beats head against desk*
from manda-d :
I guess we could do some actual work? But I don't really want to do that either! ha ha
from dangerspouse :
So how was the bachelorette party?! Any good stories you can't tell Ariac? Incriminating pics? G-strings groped? C'mon, spill the details, you filthy beerhound!
from her-story :
I'll give you an excuse...and I'll hand write it for ya: "Unfortunately, Nicole and Aaric can't come to the wedding. It's not that they don't appreciate your invitation, it's just... well... the bride's a bitch. Thanks anyway." *grins* OOOOOH I've SO been there. The worst part is having to mock-kiss the bride (hoping that her lips won't touch your face or any OTHER part of your body) while trying to be 'nice.' I'd just as soon sit there and drink til she actually seemed nice than to fake it. Enjoy your weekend!
from nixtress :
Eek at the tooth-pulling. It's good that they gave you good drugs though :) In dealing with yesterday's debacle, I just wasn't sure HOW to deal with it. There were so many variables and I could only really go by the accumulated stories of the kids. I was floored. Thanks for the supportive words. It's hard sometimes, being a parent!
from her-story :
I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled... the pulling occurred while I was KNOCKED OUT (woohoo), but the healing process sucked. It didn't hurt much, but the not being able to ingest Pepsi 1 killed me. Feel better!
from groupie94 :
Dentist YUCK ! I can sympathize... Have an appointment myself next Tuesday to deal with my cracked tooth - NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO IT ! the reason you were told not to drink that stuff or to smoke was to prevent a dry socket... Ryan had one when he had his wisdoms taken out... he said it hurt really bad so have fun but be careful, don't wanna see you hurting...
from ingridwrites :
Ouch! Maybe you could freeze some pepsi and lick it? Hehe. At least it doesn't hurt!! Post some brace face pics when you get them. ;)
from cmkern3 :
Ok, so first off, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!! 2nd - thanks for the note. He ended up changing his mind about Houston, but now I can't go anyway for reasons I'll delve into in an entry later today... 3rd - you look MARVELOUS!!
from peytonsplace :
My mom had braces when she was in her early 30s. We all thought it was cool she could flick the rubberbands off her teeth. ha ha
from amb1valent-k :
Yep - married for eighteen months at 20; didn't understand that people argue when they're married so divorced him after the first row. Nearly twenty years later increasingly intolerant
from peytonsplace :
Ugh! Make sure they cancel you. I thought we had cancelled and when I checked our bank statements 3 months later (ahem) they had been charging us all along. Damn AoL
from dangerspouse :
Hey Mrs. Miller, that's what you get for getting tanked on cheap swill beer (probably your namesake beer) and trying to deal with rational people who only wanted to insure you weren't making an awful mistake by going with the wrong internet provider. Shame on you for being so intolerant! (BTW, I would pay Serious Moolah for a tape of you honking along to that karioke machine!) LOL...hey, thanks for the nice note at my place. I'm glad I was able to disgust you! :)
from bettyalready :
I TOO HATE A0L for just that reason. Signing up and quitting are hard to do with all the questions they ask. A0L was SLOW! I get mad just thinking about trying to quit and getting all those questions.
from foursquare :
Oooo, ooo, oooo!! That's one of my hot spots, I hate that! You just want to cancel something, and they freakin' run you around for half an hour trying to get you to do anything but. When we were switching satellite companies, my husband was all but screaming at our former company. It was like they practically wouldn't LET him cancel. Ridiculous. God I hate that....
from twisted-mind :
you should have let them give you the three free months just for wasting your time.
from her-story :
Thanks for the note. I feel like death... but I figured I'd drop ya a thanks... ttyl.
from tigerlily21 :
Oh, furp, nevermind.. I'm just too impatient today! You are gorgeous!! I could never sing in front of people like that, you go girl!!
from tigerlily21 :
:( For some reason the pictures don't load for me!! Any ideas?
from ray0flight :
Ahh nice pics! You're skinny and pretty. I'm jealous
from twisted-mind :
Awww you were cute... you are still cute. Booger.
from nixtress :
First, Happy Belated Birthday! I wasn't online over the weekend and missed stopping in to wish you the best. Second, thank you for the encouragement and understanding. I try awful hard to stay upbeat but sometimes I fall short. The weekend helped quite a bit to put a little perspective on it all. Hopefully, that holds me through this weekend. How's it feel to be thirty? I'm not really looking forward to it. I KNOW it's all in my head but still..ya know? Again, Happy Birthday! I'm glad it went so well for you!
from grim-reviews :
Hi, we're grim reviews. A new diaryland review site. Interested in getting a review? Drop on by. We'd love to have you...
from captvfirefly :
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! :) I sent you an e-card yesterday, but I have no idea if you got it. Anyway, I'm so glad you had such a great day. You deserve it! Welcome to the 30 club! :)
from ray0flight :
Happy Burfday!!
from twisted-mind :
Awww your Mom rocks. I'm so glad your birthday was so wonderful!
from foursquare :
What a lovely birthday you had! Now that's a good way to bring your 30s in. :) Your mom's poem was getting me a little choked up too.
from jamsjunction :
Happy Birthday! Glad it was a great weekend!
from bettyalready :
Hope you had a great Birthday and the reaching 30 thing wasn't too hard on you! I didn't mind but at the same time I was wondering "Should I be minding here?"
from groupie94 :
Have a WONDERFUL birthday weekend...!!! And welcome to the Thirties...!!! Yay for us "old " broads... We just get better with age :)
from her-story :
This is why I like you... if we lived closer, I think we'd be friends. My hair is SO crappy right now, and I don't mean the color. I had done a few little Loreal's in the past, and I was happy... for the most part. WHAT I was thinking this time, I don't know. She left this blue-type bleach on for about 15 minutes..if it went any lighter I'd kill her... my specific instructions were: NO YELLOW, ORANGE OR RED. Apparently I speak with marbles in my mouth. Next time I'm boxing it...
from freetobemee :
Happy Birthday sweetie!! :) Hope you have fun in Madison!! :) I'm only 20 minutes away from there, but am tied down with the kiddies or I'd suggest we meet! Oh well! Oh, and just a suggestion...stay AWAY from the downtown bars - they're FULL of college kids and will make you feel MUCH older than you actually are...I'm only 27 and REFUSE to enter a college bar because it makes ME feel old!! ha-ha! Have fun!!
from peytonsplace :
Happy Early Birthday!!!
from her-story :
I'm waiting for the slump to end. It's a bit frustrating... However, now I can entertain myself by staring at my orange head in the mirror... *sighs*
from krugerpak007 :
Happy thirtieth for Sunday. I hope you enjoy your friends surprise party, and your birthday with the kids on Sunday. Have a great time! xoxo Kathy
from tigerlily21 :
Happy Birthday!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend..and just think, now you have two reasons to celebrate with your friend!!
from mgottlieb :
Happy birthday and welcome to the thirties! They really aren't as bad as you might think, in fact, I like them better than I liked my twenties. You know, so far :) As for survivor, I have to throw my hat behind either Ian or Stephanie-that chick is tough AND she keeps her mouth shut :) Have a great weekend, hon!
from alwaysnaive :
Hope you have a fantastic birthday this weekend! 30 is no big deal, it only gets better from here (this coming from someone over 30 who is trying to make herself feel better). ^_^
from manda-d :
Happy 3-0!
from imadad2 :
I knew there was a reason I liked you. We share the same birthday !!! 30 is stressful, but wait until 40. I am thinking of jumping off a bridge when I get to that one. 4 years and 2 days left to that historic moment. Happy Birthday :o)
from nixtress :
Believe it or not, at work we put up little home-made banners with pigs all over them and had cake, accompanied by little napkins with piggies all over them. We're so weird.
from freetobemee :
Cute, Cute, CUTE!!! :) Thanks for sharing - your babes are adorable!
from nixtress :
SOooooo cute!! I'm sorry to see that you came down with the bugs too. Some of the less fun parts of being a mom, right? Feel better soon and congrats on the new 'puter.
from mgottlieb :
Hey, Orlando has nothing on the men in your life! Those pictures were awesome.
from cmkern3 :
Awesome pics!!
from laurie2002 :
What a beautiful family!
from peytonsplace :
Peyton has started doing that silly fake closed eye grin every time we get the camera out. :)
from manda-d :
I love pictures! Woo hoo scanners!
from twisted-mind :
Well, arent your men just handsome as all get out!
from twisted-mind :
First Yahoooo on the new computer. Second boo on being sick, I've been there too recently and it so sucks. My husband didnt get it either, must be they already have enough germs and the cold germs are scared to go in there. Third, you are so damn beautiful I want to dislike you, but I cant cause you are too damn nice too. hmph. Kids dont look goofy, they look happy. :o) Feel better soon and get that computer going.
from jamsjunction :
As the song says "You're one hot momma"! Hope you feel better soon!
from cmkern3 :
Hot mama! :)
from manda-d :
Aww, goofy cuteness! You guys are all adorable!
from nicolerenee :
Thanks for the lovely note. It made me feel special! Yes, we are so happy...equally surprised. But, ah well, God doesn't give us more than we can handle right? :) XOXO
from imadad2 :
It is a very good start. The finger has been pointed at me for so many years, finally she has realized it is not all my fault. That to me is a major step. One appointment does not make a cure. I imagine this will take months, if not years.
from imadad2 :
You trained someone so well, that they figured out a way to embezle. You should pat yourself on the back. ;o) It is frightening sometimes when something big like that happens. When Enron and Dynegy went down, some of the people that were arrested, I knew. It was scary.
from nixtress :
OH NO! Think healthy! Here's hoping you don't have days like I've just had.
from mgottlieb :
I hope the kids get to feeling better and that you don't get sick :)
from ingridwrites :
Oh no sickness! My daughter had the pukey thing. Then my husband. And I'm sad to say that I think I may have a variation of it. Heres hoping YOU STAY WELL! Someone has to take care of the sickies ;) ((hugs))
from cmkern3 :
Um, could I be more excited to officially meet you next weekend???? Nope, don't think so.
from manda-d :
John is a very sound sleeper too. AND, he sleeps right through that worthless, little alarm. It will wake me up on the other side of the house, but not him. By the time I get to him, it's too late. His doctor said the same thing, that he would outgrow it. She did mention that it was likely hereditary. I called my ex MIL and she said my ex husband wet the bed til he was 11. John has spurts with the Goodnights. Sometimes he chooses to wear them, sometimes he chooses not to. I let him make the call most of the time. And it is VERY good to know we aren't the only ones as well. Thanks!
from twisted-mind :
I had the exact same thoughts about being picked last. I was so tickled pink when they picked the old guy instead of the buff young dude. Served him right thinking he was going to get picked right away. I was kinda glad the singing teacher didnt get picked. Can you imagine 39 days with her singing? No way! My son doesnt pee the bed at night, but lately (well 2 times in the past month) he has just wet his pants because he wouldn't stop playing to go pee. Makes me so mad, because we are usually out and I dont carry clothes for him with me anymore. Hope you and the girls have a fun night out. I wanna come too.
from foursquare :
I used to be that kid picked last for the kickball teams. Not fun at all. :( I swear if either of my kids are picked on really badly in school I'll pull them out and homeschool. Anyway! Thanks so much for all the well wishes on having a boy. It still is weird for me to think about, but I'm starting to get used to the idea. I think. I pay a lot of attention to things you write about your kids being that it's such a similiar situation. Mine should be about 4 yrs & 1 month apart with a girl first & then a boy. Seems to be working for you!
from manda-d :
How old is your daughter? My son is 8 and we have the same problem. We've been to the doctor about it twice. We've done the medication, the alarms, the waking in the middle of the night. Nothing seems to help. I feel so bad for him.
from twisted-mind :
I'm with you, what they do in their private lives is their business. Like when everyone hated on Clinton for cheating even though he did so much good they didnt care they just hated him anyway. Judge not right? Way to go on the way you answered her back! Yay for survivor! We never miss it either, but since husband is gone I'll have to pretend I didnt watch it without him and record it then watch it again when he gets home! Oh and thanks for the emails this morning those were great! Nicole you so rock the casbah!
from manda-d :
*rolls eyes* Must be nice to be so damn perfect. Sheesh! I thought your response was great! ;-)
from her-story :
I think M&Ms call out to us because they were created with little microchips to recognize us... like what spies would use, except the candy industry possesses them. How else would they know our favorite colors (and make sure the bag has very little OF them in it)? .... This way we HAVE to keep coming back for more.
from her-story :
I had that crappy stuff in my mouth when I had to get a crown (my OTHER dentist broke my molar)... and lemme tell you... I thought all of my teeth were coming out when I had to "pop" my mouth open. BAH... and the wet-dumpster taste in my mouth lasted all day (even tho I brushed my teeth a gazillion times and gargled with a bucket of Listerine). I think dentists and hygienists (sp) get sick enjoyment out of doing stuff like that to us...
from alwaysnaive :
I was just telling BF the other day about when I got my braces, and how I was gagging when they made the molds and the hygenist said, "Just breathe through your nose...just concentrate and try to fight it." I felt like saying, let me put this godawful stuff in YOUR mouth and let's see if you can "fight it." And Nicole, if you have to wear a retainer after your braces come off, wear it for as long as they tell you to. Because I didn't and my teeth gradually become crooked again. :(
from mgottlieb :
Oh my god, total flashback to middle school when I got my braces! In fact, I think my mom still has my mold somewhere.
from her-story :
I went to get my books during the fall semester with my friend (she's 6 years younger than me) en route to a friend's house for a party. A former student of mine... who's SEEN my kids, asks me if SHE is my daughter. This friend is going to be 30 this year, too. By the way, what day is your birthday? My oldest son's is on the 19th...he'll be 14 this year. (ACK)
from groupie94 :
It could be worse being accused of being your friends mom... It could have been Aaric's mom you were accused of being... It's been assumed on MANY occasions that Ryan is my son not my hubby....!!! I laugh it off.. The "joys" of marriage to a younger man I suppose...
from nixtress :
Yowza. Donut-droppin' Diva! Happy Valentine's Day :)
from twisted-mind :
Wow you sexy Momma you. Making strange men dump their donuts! I always knew you were a hottie, now you just have to realize it too. :o) Glad your weekend went well.
from manda-d :
Look how innocent... how could someone not want him? Or at least not want what's best for him? Such as loving adoptive parents. People never cease to amaze me.
from krugerpak007 :
OMG, what is this world coming too? I hope you have a nice, relaxing weekend. How is the new treadmill? xoxox Kathy
from twisted-mind :
I didnt see the story about the baby. Did it live? The scalping thing had me saying "wtf?" too. Way to go on the Pepsi! I've given up MtDew... its hard. Hope your weekend is great.
from imadad2 :
I really don't mind it when she brings up something from a year or two in a fight. 10 years ago though is waaaay in the past. You have to give that up, or it will ruin your life.
from krugerpak007 :
Sounds like you have a busy weekend ahead. Sounds great, I am feeling sorry for myself of course, stuck here so have fun for me! I hope Aaric enjoys his new job! Thanks for your note. Take care and have a good weekend! xoxox Kathy
from nascarwidow :
OMG, I forgot about the freaking Valentines! Now what? Thanks for reminding me.
from iwanttotell :
I like the way you think!
from mgottlieb :
Life has handed your friend a lot of grief, thank goodness she was also given your friendship-what a blessing you are :)
from freetobemee :
Nicole...you have got to be the bestest friend ever! Your entry brought tears to my eyes. I hope your friends appreciate how lucky they are to have you! :)
from twisted-mind :
You are such an awesome friend. She's lucky to have you. :o)
from treesssa :
I have a Girls Night IN for my girlfriends and it is really a great thing. With everyone busy with their family and jobs, its a great stress relief.Good for you! I am going to have to agree with everyone else, you are a great friend!
from alwaysnaive :
You are such a sweet, caring friend. I wish you lived closer so I could join your Girls Night In!
from manda-d :
You are a great friend :-)
from foursquare :
I'll second the yikes, sheesh... Any options for him in a different kind of job?
from cmkern3 :
That's RIGHT it just ain't fun unless its the Pack!!! And, uh, dude - what is up w/your husband's employer??? Yikes!
from cmkern3 :
Awww...thanks for your note!! :)
from bettyalready :
My dad used to take us to monster truck shows. LOUD, but fun
from nicolerenee :
Holy moly...we are SO alike...it's almost scary! XOXO
from twisted-mind :
Awesome 100 things! Thanks for the email today it was too funny.
from janie12975 :
I'll probably be going to see that soon. Steve likes to see all the Oscar contenders before the Oscars. But we really haven't had any time to go see movies lately. Ugh. J wants toast and just brought me the toaster.
from alwaysnaive :
Smoke your brains out on the drive to Madison! I'll send you some of my pain meds so you can REALLy have a great time. He he...
from krugerpak007 :
Have a good time on the trip. And rant all you want. Its your diary, thats where you should do it.That would have rubbed me up the wrong way too. Well done for doing your exercises. Give me some inspiration too. Please! xoxox Kathy
from her-story :
Non-smokers are such whiny little bitches, aren't they? I bet they're skinny, too...
from mgottlieb :
Two miles! I'm so jealous; I did half a mile on the elliptical and felt like my heart was going to explode! Anyway, have a great time on the girl trip regardless of the judgemental wussies who just can't hang with your cool self!
from krugerpak007 :
Yey! Enjoy and have fun with your new treadmill!!!Hope all goes well at soccer! xoxox Kathy
from dangerspouse :
*whew* I got scared by the mushystuff for a second there, but you redeemed yourself with the tale of the soccer bitch. MEOW!! Scratch her eyes out, babe! LOL...hey, thanks for the birthday wish at my place, and good luck finding a good treadmill :)
from krugerpak007 :
I am also jealous of your treadmill shopping-enjoy! Thanks a lot for your note. I hope things work out regarding the soccer team. Take care. xoxo Kathy
from nixtress :
Yep, I think it's hard all over. I didn't know your brother worked near me! Now, see...learn something new every day. I'm so jealous of your treadmill shopping. Good luck!
from janie12975 :
Oh, I am soooo jealous! You are getting a treadmill!!!! I want a treadmill, really really really really bad. If I had a treadmill, my legs wouldn't be so out of shape and I wouldn't be in so much pain from snowboarding this weekend. Oh, and don't get me started on organized kids sports. So hard to find a decent league. I'll stop there or I'll use up your entire notes page. Just know I feel your pain on that subject.
from mgottlieb :
Hey you! I'm just getting caught up after my work-imposed exile from Diaryland. Sorry about your tiff with the HUbby but it sounds like it all worked out and I'm glad for that :) I'm with your mom; my 30th birthday blew chunks. Remind me to tell you about it sometime. Anyway, it's good to be back and I know you're going to love the MOnster truck show!
from dangerspouse :
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHA! REDNECK! Hey, it goes perfectly with that cheap beer you swill down! Ah well, I hope you have a good ol' shit-kickin time. Remember to turn yer head when you spit chaw juice. (Oooo, 10-15 girls AND pizza? Um...got an address?) And waddaya mean my wife "is too good for me"?? Don't you shovel, cook, clean and build furniture for YOUR man? You're just jealous! :)
from suz324 :
I alway forget the notes too.. so have no fear. :)
from freetobemee :
HI THERE! I Love, love, love the Monster Trucks! They're in Madison this weekend, but too busy to go this year! :) I just love the rumbling in my ears! Anyway, wanted to let you know I'm alive & will hopefully be posting soon! I got primary placement of the kids...G's moving to Florida!!! Wooooottttt!!! *happy dance* Gotta get going, but thanks for the note & I'll try to update REAL soon!!! Take care!
from groupie94 :
Only you could mention : Monster Trucks, Disney on Ice, Gay pride hells angels, and a little girls slumber party and have them all tie into the same story, I am sorry things have been 'off' a bit with you and Aaric, It's rough, You know me of all people can sypathize with the marital spatting... hang in there he loves you so much...!!!
from foursquare :
We went to one of those a couple years ago, we'd one free tickets off the radio. Boy let me tell you, there were some strange creatures that crawled out of the woodwork to attend that one! But really it was kind of fun. Be prepared for ringing ears and the smell of exhaust to overwhelm you. But I bet Mason will love it. :)
from her-story :
Thanks for the note. When I turned 30, my husband threw me a surprise party. The only thing was that I was SO depressed about turning 30 that I cried throughout the whole party. And... for months after that. However, once you have a kid who's a teenager, 30 is nothing... it's the whole "I have 3 years til I get my LICENSE" to make you feel old. Happy birthday (when it is?) for your 30th and at least he thought about it. I know many people who's significant others DON'T DO A THING for their landmarks... 30, 40, 50... etc. My mom, for instance, threw my dad this elaborate surprise party. He was just going to buy her a cake, but *I* intervened and reminded him that she went to ALL the trouble for his... he should do something for her. So, he took us ALL out for Chinese food (on him)... and she had fun(-ish, my dad can ruin the happy mood of the people in the Sound of Music). Anyways, 30's not that bad, honest.
from imadad2 :
Thanks for the encouraging note. I have decided that the first blow up after we get back from our trip will be it. 60 days to ship up or ship out. I hate to do it, but I have no other choice. Thanks again for the note.
from krugerpak007 :
I am glad you two spoke about it. that he knows now how you feel. I hated turning 30 myself. It was a horrible day and I still don't feel 30. Maybe as I said you will be pleasantly surprised. your husband does sound like a real sweetie. Now that you have explained your feelings maybe he will get the message and plan something. Hang in there, enjoy the restaurant and don't be sad! xoxox Kathy (and feel better)
from nixtress :
I turn 30 in March and I'm dreading it. Positively and completely. I don't know if it's the outdated thought that being out of your twenties makes one old or what but I'm handling it by NOT handling it. Perhaps if I just avoid dwelling on it, it'll go away, whatever IT is. Sorry to hear about the hurt feelings and the party mess up. I hope it ends well, regardless.
from krugerpak007 :
I understand why you would be hurt. I am sorry. But perhaps it will all work out in the end and at least he was thinking about it...Never apologise for whining, its your diary, moan and cry all you want. Take care and feel better.xoxox Kathy
from rollynn :
Oh hon, sorry the mister was such a butt. Hey, my birthday is coming up too & I have the same problem. I say you & I get our Wisconsin asses together & PARTY...lol. So what if I'm such a light-weight I will probably be passed out by midnight...I promise it will be fun :)
from jamsjunction :
I never realized before that we were the same age..though your slightly *giggles* older then I. Sorry hubby didnt think before he spoke. I hope you have a good 30th birthday, reguardless. ((HUGS))
from manda-d :
It would've hurt my feelings too. :(
from foursquare :
I know what you're saying. :( I wonder sometimes if men just don't get that kind of stuff. It's not the same situation, but when it comes to like my birthday & Christmas, I really don't care at all what it is he gets me, I'm more in in for the thoughtful & surprise aspect of it. But he'll sit there and drill me on what exactly I want, and there's no element of surprise or creativity often times in the end and that can be a little disappointing. When it's presents for him, he seems to have very specific items in mind and he prefers it if I just tell him, "go buy it". I guess he just thinks the same way with me, I don't know, but he is slowing catching on. Anyway, didn't mean to fill up on my own stories, just wanted you know I understand how you feel.
from captvfirefly :
I understand exactly why you are hurt by this whole birthday thing. It's not that you want or need a big party, but the fact that he's not even thinking about it, or that he thought about it and dismissed it as too much effort - well, that sucks. I'm sorry. :( Maybe he's just TELLING you that it's a big problem to throw you off track? Maybe? I dunno, I'm just hoping for a positive spin. :)
from janie12975 :
Sorry Aaric is being like this for your birthday! You couldn't have made it easier for him! (((hugs)))
from krugerpak007 :
Hope you are feeling better! xoxoxox Kathy
from her-story :
I get in those moods a lot... moreso now that I'm home from work. At least when I did work, I had interesting stories to tell. Now that I'm home, all I talk about it baby poo and my dog eating HER poo, and my grad class. I think I'm boring YOU guys... *hugs* Cheer up buttacup...pretty soon it'll be spring and lil purple flowers will start blooming and everyone can start wearing sweatshirts and shorts. *grins*
from nicolerenee :
Hey there. I definitely know what you mean. It's like you have nothing to look forward to. Now that the baby is here, the only other thing I'm looking forward to is a house...then what?! Hope you're doing well.
from krugerpak007 :
Shame sweetie. I know the "blah" feeling and I hope it passes quickly! Sounds like you had a good weekend though. thanks for recommending movies. I have too much time on my hands now and need to start trying to get in to movie-watching mode-or something! So anyway feel good, and I hope training the employee goes ok. Take care! xoxoxo Kathy
from bettyalready :
you and the rest of us! I get so behind on reading and I miss things and feel bad, but that's the way life is. Yo are SO not an ass! He's fun!
from laurie2002 :
My goal for today is to somehow work the word Sheboygan into a conversation. Cheer up. One day you can have goals like mine. HA!
from krugerpak007 :
I just read your 100 things...I need to do that some day but there is no ways I am going to find 100 things about me... Your picture is beautiful! xoxo Kathy
from krugerpak007 :
I hope all the kids are feeling better and that you ended up having a good weekend. Take care! xoxox Kathy
from her-story :
That's ok... I'm not even in the house .03948 seconds when my oldest one is all up in my business about something ridiculous, then nagged me about going somewhere he knows he can't go, and is now pouting b/c I had to say "no" to him. (And he's almost 14...) MAAAAAAAAAAAAAN... I'd just LOVE a weekend without my kids. Then, given the option as to when I'd like to return. *sighs*
from manda-d :
My kids want to see that too!
from mgottlieb :
Have a great weekend!
from imadad2 :
Monday you will have the TV workout I promise. I wrote it yesterday, but it was five pages long in word. I did not want to make an entry that long. I was planning on making a beginner workout, but I have a feeling, you might be past that. Monday. I gurantee it. Have a great weekend.
from jamsjunction :
Winter weather just plain stinks..I think this evening you should stalk out a neighborhood teenager who wants to make some extra bucks, and save your back. You deserve a break, thats for sure! Bills suck, winter sucks, I want to be 10 again LMAO
from her-story :
Snow sucks so bad that the next sanding truck that slaps my house with golfball-sized salt particles will get a pepper grinder up their butt. I feel your pain... I honestly do... but do me one favor... STOP sending your weather my way. *grins*
from manda-d :
Bills suck...
from bettyalready :
Really glad spouse got the surgery done and over with and is healing, but damn, that sounds really painful.
from nascarwidow :
Glad to hear hubby's healing. I feel like I'm living a dream and keep thinking I have to pinch myself to see if I'm awake!
from cmkern3 :
This is the second time this month this has happened! My last check was supposed to arrive on Dec. 31st and I ended up getting it on January FOURTH!!! And now this. Very frustrating. And, the only way they will NOT mail us our checks is if we have direct deposit. Which I do not. So, yeah. I had a 4-day weekend and virtually NO money. Lovely no?
from cmkern3 :
Hehe...sorry about the cliffhangers lately. It really has nothing to do with leaving everyone hanging, honestly but rather is more about not wanting certain "readers" to know my plans. Unfortunately, the "top secret" plans ended up not working out because my paycheck which was supposed to arrive at my house (our checks are mailed) on Friday STILL has not been delivered. Um, grrrr.
from twisted-mind :
wow that sounds like a busy ten days. I'm glad he is feeling better and things are well for you all.
from mgottlieb :
I'm glad that Aaric is doing well and it's good to have you back :)
from iwanttotell :
So glad Aaric is on the mend. Hopefully you aren't too busy to get caught up on dland. Glad you're back.
from jamsjunction :
I missed you! Welcome back & its good to hear Aric is doing well.
from auntie-mari :
Just wanted to say hello and I hope things are working out ok with everything. Take care!
from manda-d :
5 days with no update? What gives? Is this hubby surgery time? I don't remember...
from bettyalready :
Ok, that would be me, bawling my eyes out. I can't even watch the birth shows or adoption shows because I'll cry when they start and nothing's happened yet. What did happen? I never have seen the show.
from twisted-mind :
So... how's the hubby? Sign on to your computer and home and update will ya? :o) Hope you are all doing well.
from suz324 :
Ha.... HA HA HA... HA!
from mgottlieb :
For the love of god, Nicole! Save your tears for Ty Pennnington!!!
from alwaysnaive :
I just had to laugh at your bawling at stupid reality shows because I do the SAME THING. It's truly pathetic. I've got a box of tissues next to the couch for when I watch TV because they all make me cry - Extreme Makeover, The Swan, even Survivor (when they have those reunions with their loved ones). When I saw the commercials for Who's Your Daddy? I thought, OK they've gone too far this time. Thank goodness I didn't watch it. I don't need another show to cry over. :P
from her-story :
Thanks for the good vibes... I plan on doing my best rendition of knocking them dead. *grins*
from twisted-mind :
Dang I shoulda come to your house for New Years sounds like a blast! I'll be thinking of you and hubby on Wednesday.
from dangerspouse :
Hey, that was a nice recap of '04. Happy New Year to you babe! I hope 2005 brings you everything you want...like REAL beer for once.
from nixtress :
I hope my basement doesn't become a lagoon! Happy New Year, Nic. Best wishes for you and yours.
from treesssa :
Happy New Year!!
from her-story :
Sounds like your husband makes Lemon Drops. (Yummmm) Try this: orange juice, sprite and vodka (more of the oj and soda than vodka) and pour on ice. Enter the era of "Orange Crush." (It tastes like orange soda... yummmm) What kicks my ass is the HARD stuff... like scotch (bleh), bourbon (bleeeeeeeeh), and whiskey (uh bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh).
from twisted-mind :
Happy New Year, hope your 2005 is wonderful for you and your family.
from her-story :
I did go back and read, by the way, and I can only imagine what you all were going through. My husband lost his brother to a rare bone cancer about 5 or 6 years ago. Cancer sucks, that's for sure. As far a Miller vs. Bud... when I was in college, I started with Miller Lite and I occassionally branch out to Corona (w/ lime) when I have beer (which isn't often). Usually, when I'm out w/ my friends (our menagerie of alcoholics and nut-cases), I have my vodka... with cranberry juice. *yum*
from her-story :
Ya know what? I will go back and read the entries from Feb '04... and I'm sorry for what your father went through. The whole prostate thing is scary.
from her-story :
I feel bad for your niece. My littlest is 19 months and has KILLER poops... and a nasty diaper rash. We were at the doctor's this morning. Her advice: let him eat whatever. (Me thinks it's time for a new doctor) However, I've tussled w/ Old Navy before... and, as a matter of fact, I'm DYING to go there (THIS WEEK THIS WEEK) to pick up some really CUTE looking pull-over fleeces. And, for the record, if I formed an opinion of the place based on their stupid commercials, I'd never go shop there. Not that I go there a lot now... I just want the cute fleece. :)
from cmkern3 :
Gooooo Pack Gooooo!!! I swear to God I didn't think I was going to survive until the end of the last game - my stomach was in my throat!! And, could Brett look any cuter with his head shaved? Nope, I don't think he could.
from twisted-mind :
How sweet. I want someone to say something like that to me!! Hope your niece is out of the hospital soon and feeling much better.
from pashiesplace :
It's so easy to forget how those simple moments of unexpected kindness can really make a difference. Hope your niece is well soon.
from twisted-mind :
I'm ok. No worries... just me being me.
from treesssa :
Your children are beautiful! Thans for the comment. I do appreciate your opinion, even though you are a Packers fan. Hehehe Glad you had a decent xmas and good luck to your hub with the surgery!
from twisted-mind :
What beautiful children you have. Your daughter's eyes are so very pretty. Glad christmas went well. Hope the New Year is wonderful to you and your family.
from jamsjunction :
Your children are just beautiful! So glad Christmas went well for you & yours. I hope hubbys surgery goes well, with no complications, and he is on the road to recovery soon!
from manda-d :
I told everyone in my family "If ANYONE gets John a hotwheels track, I will hurt you... BAD". Dude, those things are SUCH a pain in the ass. The last one we got was the T-Rex one, and it is up in the attic cause there is no room for it downstairs. I so need to clean out my closets. I'm jealous yours are done.
from nixtress :
Merry Christmas, Nic. I'm sorry to hear that Aaric's having the surgery so early into the year but it's probably better to get it done and over. Hope that you were able to slow down and enjoy the holiday! We got sooo much snow and now have settled into just plain cold.
from dnyl22 :
Merry Christmas!!
from dangerspouse :
Hey kiddo, just wanted to wish you an A a Merry Christmas, with much cheap, watery beer under your tree! (Hey - what favor did he call in for painting the bathroom the other day??) Ciao!
from laurie2002 :
I want to come to your party. Thanks for the note...you always make me smile.
from msguided :
Merry Holidays for you too ;)!
from twisted-mind :
Probably too late for you to get but I hope you have the bestest christmas ever.
from msguided :
I am glad to hear you say that about Tivo. I don't know anyone who has it, but every online review I've seen just raves over it! ;) Merry Christmas!
from manda-d :
Freezing rain and sleet here, yuck!
from tigerlily21 :
Merry Christmas! Sounds like you are going to have a fabulous time on New Years.. I don't think we are doing anything nearly as exciting..but thats ok! I'm glad you get to spend it with your hubby.. What color did you paint the bathroom? Anyway, happy holidays! Eat, drink, and be merry! *hugs* Jen
from iwanttotell :
I haven't had time to read for a while, but I see nothing's changed with you-still a happy, busy mom! The pictures are great. Enjoy the holiday.
from imadad2 :
I have seen it on some new TV's. I think it should be a standard feature. Push a button on the TV, and the remote screams to be found. It would be cool if you could program the sound to. There's my million dollar idea !!!
from rollynn :
You have to have one of the most beautiful houses I have ever seen. It might not mean much but if you remember I was the one writing about wanting to buy a house. I've been slacking off on that lately :( but I hate the holidays & how hectic everything gets. I hope you & your family have a great Christmas & I hope your hubby heals quickly. You know men can't handle much for pain :)
from toriadenise :
Yay you for being the big person and being the first to apologize...I suppose that I am lucky that my sisters and I never argue, but then again, I'm not married yet and when that happens I'm sure that's when the arguments will begin...Either way...sisters are such great people to have around anyway and I'm sure times will get situated and things will go well for the families...Have a great weekend!
from manda-d :
Don't cha just love sisters at Christmas time? Grrr. My family is EXACTLY the same way and it makes me wanna hide out in my house with my kids and my husband. Hope things work out!
from twisted-mind :
Awww so all sisters do act like goofballs, not just mine. I'm glad you two worked it out. :o)
from mgottlieb :
Wow. I can totally understand your situation, I have a younger sister who is ultra-sensitive to any perceived slight. I have an older sister who could not give a fig about anyone's feelings but her own. I am ALWAYS playing peacemaker between them. Luckily, they agreed several years ago to call a total truce on Christmas. Now they act like Stepford sisters during the holidays. God bless them, I know they do it just for me.
from marywa :
Count your blessings, most years my dad calls me in a panic right about now, wondering what he should get my mom for Christmas. Funny how it catches him by surprise every single year.
from nascarwidow :
Thanks for missing me! I'd be glad to send one of my wrappers to you, but your weather would scare them off. Hubby wrapped all his family's gifts tonight before I got home from the office. I was impressed. Take care and try to stay warm.
from jamsjunction :
My FIL is the exact same way..Lucky for him I love to wrap gifts, so I dont mind. Did the Pogo stick come? I hope it does so your neice isnt disappointed. I had no idea they still sold those things. I figured with all the new cool toys kids wouldnt want those anymore..Have a good evening, all those goodies sound YUMMY!
from imadad2 :
Thanks for the note. I already checked with the police and my insurance. I am liable for a maximum of $500. I am going to get some quotes while I am on vacation, so I have something to go with. The repair may not happen for a few months. I have to save for it.
from mgottlieb :
Thank you! And I'm praying for the timely arrival of your pogo stick :)
from janie12975 :
Good for you for getting up there and singing! Sorry to hear about that lady. So sad to hear, especially when there are kids involved.
from cmkern3 :
**ahem** I believe you meant to say "Cheri's Packers" no? ;)
from twisted-mind :
wow you are so brave. I have a hard time singing in front of anyone. Go you!
from groupie94 :
intruments awesome gifts for the kids... Although that's coming from me... Spence had his 1st guitar at age 4 - and Ryan plays so... The outdoor motion camera idea is cool... My dad has one and has caught really cool pics of other animals too... wolves, coyote and bears too... and yes I am feeling MUCH better Thanks...!
from twisted-mind :
Yahoooooooo on the drum set! Sorry to hear about your husband's shoulder. Poor you and him! Hope your day today is good. Thanks so much for your support it means a LOT!
from groupie94 :
Sorry to hear about Aaric...men are such babies when they are sick/hurt, but I do hope he feels better...Your night out sounded like a blast...chocolate mint mousse, YUMMM...!
from mgottlieb :
I have four words that are going to change your life: pre-lit artificial tree. Ok, "pre" is a prefix, not a word, but, still! If you must have a fake tree, go for the pre-lit, contrary to popular belief, if one light goes out, they don't ALL go out, the tree is easy to assemble and you don't have to mess with the stringing of the lights. Now, if I can just convince my husband, ha, ha!
from janie12975 :
Sorry to hear about Aaric's shoulder. Hope he recovers quickly.
from foursquare :
For Aaric, how about those boxers that have the jingly bells and say, "Jingle Balls" on them? Ha! I do think they're pretty funny, but then I have the sense of humor of a juvenile...
from iwanttotell :
Before I left Dick, I had 35 people just on his side of the family to buy for! Believe it or not, I used to be done by the end of August! Now my list is not half that, and I'm still not done, but nearly. Take a break, Girl. Sounds like you need one.
from manda-d :
We don't buy for any grown ups and it makes things SO much easier.
from cmkern3 :
Not to add to your insanely long list of people to buy for, but what about teachers??? Hmmmmmm? ;) This is something I always forget until the last minute.
from cmkern3 :
You and I know that he should be happy that Haley gets to do all the things she's getting to do, but he is a selfish, selfish man ya know? Really, it doesn't have as much to do with HER as he's trying to make me think it does. It is driving him CRAZY that I'm with someone, let alone that I've introduced him into Haley's life (which we've always agreed wouldn't happen unless it was someone we were serious about.) Anyhow. He'll have to learn to live with it ya know? Also, I'm afraid what happened with MY Brett this weekend probably is my fault. You see, I lost a bet and had to wear a Bears sweatshirt all day on Sunday. I'm afraid MY Brett was devistated by this and was highly pissed off at me.

I'm glad to hear that your recent blah-ness has sort of subsided. I know how hard it is to go through those down times .. hopefully it's just a phase and will pass quickly. Sounds like your Christmas is already planned! Have a great time at the hockey games this weekend. ((HUGS))
from mgottlieb :
Well, at least you didn't have to concoct a diabolical plan for talking Morgan out of a live turtle for Christmas. That's something, anyway. Have a great weekend!
from toriadenise :
yah I changed it...if you email me or something I'll send you the password for your sn...I'm just glad to know that there is somebody who actually reads it...hehe...and maybe santa (or Airic) will bring you a new computer...lol [email protected]
from cmkern3 :
LLLLMMMMBBBBOOOO!!!! That is TOOO funny!! I was SO hoping I wasn't the only one who thought those things!!! And, really, the words "Brett Favre" need to just never be uttered from your mouth again. I mean, do you WANT me to come up there & hunt you down? ;)
from msguided :
St. Nick? He comes before Christmas? I never heard of that. It is interesting...
from cmkern3 :
Poor thing :( You will get your pics back once you renew...
from cmkern3 :
Awwwww....thanks for your note. (Well - for the first half anyway - haha!) It seems I'm able to be a strong woman for 3 day increments and then BAM! Butter. But, at least I make no excuses right? I can admit that what I'm doing isn't necessarily the smart/right choice - I'm not trying to justify it or paint a picture that isn't there. I've got THAT going for me anyway... ;) Oh and also? If you do not STOP referring to MY Brett as YOUR Brett immediately, I will have to take further action.
from nixtress :
Blah-ness sucks. I've been that way off and on lately myself. I think it's the additional everything--weather changes, end of year, stress over Christmas and get togethers, work and even just the everyday stuff on top of all that. No fun. The not-so-blah you is still in there and it WILL overcome! :)
from twisted-mind :
I think its that time of year. Not because of the weather or the holidays just the end of the year. You work hard all year long and eventually get tired. Thankfully we usually have a "break" at Christmas time and find strength to face the new year. The New Year always seems to get you going. You old lady you. Thanks for your support recently. It really has meant a lot.
from moodymama :
((((((((((((((NiN)))))))))))))))) blah is so not you! like my new nickname for ya? first two letters of your first name and first initial of your last. okay i'm weird. i feel the need to nickname everyone. :)~~
from taraleebaby :
She wasn't betrayed. She said things that would be unforgiveable to anyone.
from janie12975 :
Now see, here I am enjoying the kids being back at school after a long weekend! LOL It stinks having to go back to work. I always hated that when I was working.
from nicky-d :
Hi, Nicole... I can't say why I'm currently locked up in here, so an explanation will come later as to what happened. I tried sending you an e-mail the other day with the username/password. If you didn't get it, please send me an e-mail to [email protected] letting me know which e-mail to use to send it to you again. Sorry about that!
from cmkern3 :
Hey there! Thanks for the note!! I cannot WAIT for Weetacon!!! And, I would LOVE to meet a nice Packer fan up there. You know, Chuck is a Bears fan - I should've known from the start it could never work!! ;)
from bettyalready :
Happy Thanksgiving!
from toriadenise :
hey...I wanted to let you know that I locked my diary...I'm having problems with an old friend...anywho...you can use your name (nmnohr) and the password 191063 that'll get you in...
from treesssa :
Boo Packers!! Well congrats. They are really doing good(see? I am a good sport!)Happy Thanksgiving to you too. You need to buy a computer at home.
from mgottlieb :
Happy Thanksgiving, hon!
from manda-d :
11/24 - That entry was so very warm. Happy Thanksgiving to you too :-)
from captvfirefly :
Wanna know what I'm thankful for? You! :) I hope you and your family have a wonderful, safe Thanksgiving. :)
from nixtress :
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours :)
from cmkern3 :
Ohhhh my God that is so weird that you mentioned that hunting story because you were the FIRST THING I thought of when I read the story yesterday!!!!
from bettyalready :
That sounds like fun and I'm really glad you're having a good time.
from nixtress :
I'm just really coordinated that way, aren't I? Sheesh. It bothered me more that it happened this close to Christmas. At least I didn't find out while driving with the kids somewhere. We were lucky.
from treesssa :
Sounds like a great weekend!Mall of America sounds like fun.The link you gave didn't work but I am assuming there was a hunting accident somewhere?I'm so glad he was not involved.
from jamsjunction :
GOOD! I am so relieved, as I am sure you as as well. Hug him tight!
from jamsjunction :
I really hope and pray that Aric wasnt involved in this past weekends tragic hunting fight/shooting..You were the first person I thought of when I read the story last night on CNN..((HUGS))
from nascarwidow :
I hope you can have some fun and the needed rest so you can come back very refreshed and motivated. I'm supposed to apologize for not responding to her! Stupid, huh? Take care!
from iwanttotell :
Enjoy your weekend.
from bettyalready :
I hope the trip gives you a jump start out of your blahs. I'm going through the blah's and it's no fun.
from manda-d :
Hi, just stopped by. I read your recent entry and your 100 things. Your picture is beautiful and you're right... your green eyes are gorgeous!
from pashiesplace :
I think she's too young to make it up too. Her whole demeanor backed what she was saying & that was scary!
from nixtress :
Thanks. Need all the good luck vibes I can get! And I think you're right--hunting creates some sort of fever in them. Looking at it differently, remember that he just knows you're the more capable and organized one. Heh :)
from twisted-mind :
I think I've got lackawanna too. Wonder if there is a pill form to cure that. I updated today at the other place in case you wanna read about my lackawanna. I love that word. I am soooo stealing it.
from nixtress :
A resounding AMEN to the "somebody" email! There are so many different layers to being a mother, layers I never even dreamed of when I considered having children. They change our lives in ways that are irrevocable and unexpected, in good ways and in not-so-good ways. I worry way more now than I ever used to--how fair is that? :P Hope your day goes wonderfully today!
from nascarwidow :
You should meet up with Kitchenlogic while at the Mall. I'll forwarn you though, she may try to sell you her new "secret" line of jewelry. Have fun. BTW have you tried Pepsi One?
from moodymama :
I loved that. :) I think I'm gonna post it too.
from funkydoodle :
The Mall of America! That is so cool, I want to check it out someday. And I love the Rainforest Cafe :) Yes I changed my password but I'm not sure I'm ready to give it out, if ever.
from jamsjunction :
I really like Crystal Lite...but I dont think I could ever give up my brewed sweet iced tea. Good luck on quitting pepsi!
from peytonsplace :
Larry and I have been drinking Propel water and it's not bad. ONly 10 calories per bottle.
from cmkern3 :
So...I'm a "regular" soda drinker too - I can't stand diet versions of anything (esp. Diet Pepsi - YUCK!!) with 2 exceptions - Diet Mountain Dew is deeeeelicious and so is Diet Rite - not the regular Diet Rite but the flavored versions. I get the Diet Rite Tangerine (yummmmm) but JD gets...oh what was it? Strawberry/Kiwi??? I can't remember now, but she said it's amazing.
from laurie2002 :
Is that the Mall of the Americas? That is my dream to go there one day.
from pashiesplace :
OMG no Pepsi?! I wish I could quit my pepsi addiction. Unfortunately it is an addiction & I end up with a killer migraine! Mall of America. I'm jealous!
from foursquare :
Hey Nicole, I meant to answer back to your notes a little sooner, but anyway. Thank-you for your notes, both when things were up and then down, it really helps hearing support both ways. I was thinking too about what you and Des were saying, and it's true. I don't need to have any lingering worries about if I made the right decision to have a second one or how much I want one, etc, that was answered. So perhaps it's not all to avail. I'm feeling brighter tonight, so, on to the next month!
from twisted-mind :
Awww thanks Nicole. You are too sweet.
from laurie2002 :
amazingly intelligent...my 2nd grade students can't handle more than one task at a time.
from peytonsplace :
That is so cute. Peyton has finally started saying "I wuv you" and it just melts my heart every time.
from twisted-mind :
I'm so sorry you arent feeling well. I hope it goes away soon. Maybe tomorrow is a call in day?
from groupie94 :
YUP YUP I do have your address.... Yours is the only one I have right now actually.... hmmmm... been making cards like a fiend... maybe I should put them in a craft show or something..??? We've been passing the flu around up here.... Evie, then Ryan thenmom and SIL and nephew and me and brother.. crazy ... another reason I hate winter....Feel better soon ...!!!
from peytonsplace :
I have the same cold/sinus mess hanging around. I'm just drained. No fun!
from iwanttotell :
Feel better. I would go home anyway. People get mad-people get glad. No biggie I say. Hugs
from alwaysnaive :
Get thee to a drugstore and get some Zicam for your cold. This stuff WORKS, not like those silly zinc lozenges that are supposed to shorter the duration of your cold. I woke up with an awful sore throat and stuffy nose a few months ago and just two days of taking Zicam totally knocked it out. It's fantastic stuff.
from mgottlieb :
I would soooo request hazard pay ;)
from treesssa :
Eww I hate meeces to pieces too!
from jamsjunction :
*Shudders*..I HATE mice or rodents of ANY kind. I think today is a good day to go home early..Go on, just tell them I said you could.
from laurie2002 :
That's so cute how you say A mouse...like you think it's JUST one. heh, heh
from nixtress :
What a tough situation! I think you dealt with it in the best possible manner. Hard call! I DO feel better today. I'm beginning to really think I'm allergic to something within the confines of my house. I've been busting butt trying to get things cleared up so I guess we'll see. Thanks for the good health vibes :)
from laurie2002 :
awww ya'll are so cute. Has anyone ever told you that you look like a Kennedy?
from captvfirefly :
I wish I looked that pathetic in sweats with no shower! :) You are gorgeous, and so is your daughter. Thanks for sharing. :)
from foursquare :
Pathetic my ass! Anyhow, many times when I've seen pictures of Morgan I think she looks like you, but in this one I think she totally looks like Aaric. Very cute!
from bettyalready :
I wish I could look that "pathetic".
from twisted-mind :
You look good. If I looked that good without showering, I'd never shower. ;o) I sent you an email btw.
from cmkern3 :
Oh STOP! You look marvelous.
from moodymama :
oh shush it! you look fly and you know it! :)~ (((((((((((((Divine Miss N))))))))))))))))))
from groupie94 :
children sure are a precious commodity... you were blessed with a gorgeous daughter and a very handsome son... lucky you !!! Also I appreciate your encouraging notes lately more than you ever could know...!!!!
from bettyalready :
That's the BEST entry I've seen in days. Not that you should write for other people in the slightest, but it's still true. Obviously you're a good parent because your kids want to spend time with you and tell you nice things.
from starlight42 :
I SO agree with you about being annoyed with some of the people here on DL. I'm still seeing banners today...it's stupid. Move on. Do something more productive with your time! Oh- and have respect for other people's opinions. Duh, is that so hard?
from hsing-mom :
well-said. I'm new to your diary, btw.
from cmkern3 :
Gooooo Bush!!! I'm a Bush backer as well, and also completely agree with you about people's opinions. If you believe abortion is right or wrong, then good for you - that's your choice, etc.., etc..,
from mgottlieb :
Amen, sister! Personally, I think we should equally commend every single person in the nation who voted. Period. Nothing good can come from demeaning another person for having a differing opinion, political or no.
from foursquare :
Boy do I hear you. I've read some pretty bitter diaries today and I don't get how people can be so mean towards non-supporters of their candidate either. I'm just so glad this election is over.
from peytonsplace :
I agree totally. I'm really tired of reading entries and comments calling people who voted for Bush idiots. I refuse to apologize for having MY own morals and standing behind them. There are pros and cons for each canidate.
from moodymama :
that's exactly why i don't go on and on about politics too. people take it so personally and get all fired up. vote and shut up already. be grateful that you can vote at all. this year, i personally kept an open mind and weighed both parties equally despite the fact that i'm a registered Democrat. you don't always like the person who represents your party though and i don't think you should be obligated to vote for that person just because they represent a certain party. i'm just glad it's over! :)
from cmkern3 :
Hey there! Thanks for the OH-SO-SWEET note!! You rock, girl. And, I have run out of gas in every car I've ever owned EXCEPT for the one I currently own. I'd like to say it's because I'm more mature and responsible now and would just NEVER allow my tank to get near empty, but really it's just because I've been extremely lucky. **knocking on wood** Also? Mini Journal Con in GREEN BAY in Jan/Feb/March??? OMG!!!!
from twisted-mind :
Too cute. Hope he doesn't say anything :oX
from dangerspouse :
I'd LOVE to come up and cook your turkey...BUT ONLY IF YOU PROVIDED REAL BEER, DAMMIT! I do have *some* standards, you know. Hey - where is this store that all the Size 0's hang out? I'm, uh, doing some "research". Yeah.
from laurie2002 :
awww man...at least you weren't in the desert without a cell phone signal (trying to look on the bright side)
from funkydoodle :
Two of my biggest worries are I'm gonna run out of gas or have a blowout on the freeway. I try never to go below a quarter of a tank and if I do I'll start getting really nervous. People are such buttheads. I've always pictured myself getting out the car if something like that happened while people were honking and flipping me off, and I'd scream "Do you really think I want to be here?! Do you? DO YOU??" I think I'd go psycho on them, heehee
from peytonsplace :
I totally would do something like that. Maybe you're pregnant? ha ha Had to get you back for the twins comment.
from janie12975 :
Hmm, maybe I ought to fill up too. My light has been on since Monday!
from msguided :
OH NO! I fear running out of gas like that. My husband wouldn't be pleased - and would tease me mercilessly! At least you had your cigarettes and music! And help!! Glad it all worked out.
from peytonsplace :
I should have titled it, "Holy Shit, An Update!" ha ha Twins? Bite your tongue!
from twisted-mind :
That was a really great entry about friends. I tend to be like the moodymama and don't have many close friends. I know part of that is from moving around a lot as a child. I think its really cool you have girls night out. I miss that about REAL friends having the girls night kinda thing.
from moodymama :
I think your perspective is a little different from mine because you seem really outgoing. I don't have it in me to nurture too many friendships at once. I get drained easily...overwhelmed. Like I can handle a million acquaintances but when it comes to actual friends, I don't want to stretch myself too thin. I can only handle so many. Or something. I'm like you with my old friends. We're all in different places in our lives right now, but it's always nice to hear from and see them when I go home. I'll always love them but I don't have a whole lot in common with them anymore. Like I wouldn't be able to hang out with them every day if they did live near, you know? I still value the friendships though. ((((((((((((((((nicole)))))))))))))))). thanks for being a friend. :)
from laurie2002 :
Congrats on working out! It's sooo easy to fall out of the habit. I know EXACTLY what you mean about friendships.
from alwaysnaive :
Since when is doing the laundry not part of cleaning? Argh! I would've done exactly what you did in that situation. Fucking men. Can't live with 'em....etc.
from cmkern3 :
First, thank you for the kind words about grandma. I appreciate it. Second, the car thing? I felt SOOO INCREDIBLY stupid!! As I'm in the middle of swearing up a storm to Chuck, all of the sudden I stopped and he was like, "Hello?" and I said "Yeah, you're not going to believe this." He said, "Uh oh, what now?" and as bluntly as possible I responded "Yeah, it isn't my car. SHUT UP!!" Unbelievable. And finally, I would like to know why you keep refering to MY Brett as YOUR Brett. This must stop immediately. On another note (cuz you know, this isn't long enough apparently) I have discovered that every Packer game that I've watched, they've lost and every one that I haven't watched, they've won. So guess who's NOT watching them anymore? You see, it's because MY Brett gets all nervous when he knows I'm watching. :)
from starlight42 :
Men!!
from pashiesplace :
Oh struck a nerve here. 5 loads of clothes to fold. That is my nitemare chore! Just finished folding 3 myself. Men can be such lazy idiots, no? Hugs.
from twisted-mind :
I'm ok, thanks. I'm not going anywhere and I will continue to stalk your diary. Its sad to see the group end but it just wasnt working the way it was supposed to. There were a couple of people that didn't mesh. Hopefully some day we can start another because I really loved it. And I would never had started reading your diary if it had not been for the group. :o) Hope your week goes super fast and is stress free.
from laurie2002 :
OMG! We just finished a unit on bats, and all the non-fiction books STRESSED how bats are not harmful and that all that is a myth!!!!!!!!
from iwanttotell :
Sweetie, thanks for your note. My entry made you feel that way because you're equally devoted to your children. You love them for all you're worth and treasure them as a mom should. I've always liked that about you. Keep on giving them your all. You're a treasure yourself!
from nixtress :
I finally got around the getting the house picked up but I think that was my effort for the day. So sad. *sigh* What happens to us some days? Burn out, I tell ya! Enjoy the munchies while it's excused :P
from captvfirefly :
Yeah, I know about those muchies, except with my depression it's been like having those munchies NON-STOP. Ugh. Oh, and I had to laugh at your sister asking you about a surprise birthday plan for you. I mean, how the hell would YOU know? That would negate it being a "surprise." Sisters, I tell ya. hehe
from treesssa :
Oh girl i know about those monthly munchies. I have to have Fritos or anything that is salty/crunchy.Who are the Packer's playing?
from dnyl22 :
Just wanted to stop by and say hello!! As soon as things settle down around here I'll hopefully get back to updating. Take care :)
from twisted-mind :
day off!!!
from twisted-mind :
I hope your trip is fun and you dont get a crappy roommate.
from nixtress :
I hope the trip goes well and hope that leg lets you rest soon. When I was pregnant with my first son, I had a pinched nerve that felt very much as you're describing and it was hellacious. Thanks for the good wishes-I'm better today. Sometimes we just have to process things, right?
from mgottlieb :
Have a safe trip!
from groupie94 :
Glad someone is sleeping well, I had a disturbing dream last night... you and Aaric were in it... In a hot tub of all things... aparently naked, ( however covered by the water Thank god ...!!! ) you guys were making out... I was staring at my feet the whole time and feeling sad... it was odd... See what stress does it's evil *smile*
from mgottlieb :
I have also noticed how much cleaner my house stays when the husband is away. Men. They are such messy creatures. Good thing they can open pickle jars ;)
from nixtress :
Isn't it amazing how men slow us down? Sheesh. Glad you'll have some time to yourself, always a good thing. Could be the pain in your butt is caused by either something pulled or pinched. Wait and see if it goes away, maybe? Not sure how else to handle something like that :)
from auntie-mari :
Hey ya...Just wanted to thank you for the nice note you posted in the group... I miss you guys and hope to keep in touch it was great getting to know you!!!
from treesssa :
Thanks for the note and the opinion. Its much appreciated.
from cmkern3 :
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!! What is happening to my Packers??????
from dangerspouse :
Jesus, you posted that entire rambling trip report and you NEGLECTED TO MENTION IF YOU TRIED ANY REEEAAAL BEER FOR ONCE!! I'mshattered. Oh well, I'm glad you had a good time. And you're right - I'm all agog that your true name is NOT "nmnohr"! Damn, that makes it harder to stalk you now. Oh well, listen, both "Queen Wobblebottom" and "Lady Fluffyfart" do seem more appropriate somehow, just from reading your entries. I like 'em both, and frankly they seem oddly related. I'll always think of you ass a Wobblebottomed Fluffyfarter from now on. Whoopie!!
from twisted-mind :
Sounds like a busy but fun weekend. :o)
from mgottlieb :
If I didn't know that it is a total lost cause, I would ask you to come and clean my house, too ;)
from starlight42 :
up north and hot tubs for the weekend? Not bad...lucky gal!
from msguided :
Woohoo on the clean house! Yes it does feel amazing when everything is orgnaized and clean!
from laurie2002 :
Oh my gosh, how sweet! I actually had to check the date on your entry because remember how he got you flowers last time? wow.
from twisted-mind :
Aww that is so sweet.
from msguided :
What a sweet man! ;)
from starlight42 :
Awwwww. Your hubby is going hunting, that IS a long time. Hope you get to have some fun though by yourself & with the kids. Thanks for the bday wishes. That's funny, I didn't think about the 29 thing. LOL I've been telling everyone I'm 19. The funny thing is, I LOOK about 19!
from cmkern3 :
It IS amazing that she's such an amazing kid. Although, she definitely inherited some of his manipulation tactics. Grrrrr. Thanks for the birthday wishes - and, yes, it is on the 11th. Your brother must ROCK with such an awesome birthday?! Libras RULE.
from treesssa :
Ok Nicole, i am living to damn close to the border. I knew exactly what you were talking about with these Wisconsinisms.Scary!Go Bears!!!
from treesssa :

from treesssa :
Yuck, does not sound like fun work at all!Hope your day gets better. Oh and i just got my haircut today also. This must be the month for haircuts because everyone i know is getting it done.
from captvfirefly :
Hey! Just catching up after my vacation (I'm slow). Yeah, my boss does that thing with filing too - actually, he just brings all the stuff down, once a month, after it's piled up in his IN basket, and says, "Here, some filing for you to do." Grr, I feel your pain. I hope you have fun on your date night tonight! :) I've heard nothing but good things about Ladder 49. Oh, and I have to tell you - I always cry like a baby when I watch Extreme Makeover - Home Edition, too! So you're not alone. :) And? Thanks for the comments in my diary lately about my depression. It helps knowing I have supportive friends out there. :)
from for-you-only :
Hey, I have this awesome review site going at reviews-only.diaryland.com, I don't have anybody in pending right now, so your review would come fast! Go ahead and check it out. Feel free to read my diary, or add me, or any of that other good stuff. :) Also feel free to note me. Notes are fun. And you can leave comments... I like those. !!! Have a nice day from PINK!
from nixtress :
Hey! I wanna girls night out toooooo...take me with!! :P or at least have a drink or twelve for me, would ya? Have a great time :)
from mgottlieb :
Wife Swap is my personal crack. I loved/hated the vapid billionaire mom. The "hillbilly" wife (note: she was from NEW JERSEY, that is sooo NOT hillbilly country, my friend)should be sainted for putting up not only with that leach of a husband of hers but with that vapid, self-centered, rude, ignorant idiot of a billionaire that she was stuck with for two weeks, as well. Although, the $4,000 "weekly allowance" that she got to spend during her "me time" probably went a ways in making up for it. Poor kids, though. Damn.
from cmkern3 :
I watched Wifeswap last night - I felt SOOO bad for the rich kids. That little girl was SOOO adorable, and they only get an hour a day with their parents? And the mom doesn't work???? And spends an hour a day with them??? Why even have kids if you're going to treat them that way? It really pissed me off.
from peytonsplace :
You know, I know it's not her fault the men are beating her, but it is her choice to keep dating and marrying these types of men. Hello, honey, get some councelling! Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
from laurie2002 :
You hit the nail on the head! I stopped dating abusive men after I married two of them. Oh, heh. I guess I stopped dating all together!
from cmkern3 :
Hey!! I'm on the WI/IL border too Tereeesa! I just wanted to chime in to say Nip/Tuck is one of THE BEST SHOWS on TV. I've said it before, but I'll say it again (and again) - Dr. Christian Troy??? Mrrrrrrrrowlllll!!!! Also - I totally get the smoking is fun thing. I can't imagine a Saturday afternoon conversation w/my best friend at the dining room table without lighting up one after another!!
from treesssa :
Yikes! I am on the IL/WI border,so i'm getting the same weather here. Sara has picture day today, so i had no idea how to dress her! This weather is so frustrating!I say, we steal a car and road trip to Vegas!Oh and the same thing is going on with me, with the smoking!I enjoy it waay too much and my best friend and i look forward to the times we can just sit, smoke and yap about anything and everything! Have a groovy day!
from dangerspouse :
Hey, I can't find a 20 dollar bill I had the other day. Could you check your purse...?
from nixtress :
I hate days where you feel like your brain is just gone! Tomorrow will be better, promise.
from iwanttotell :
Oh no-I hope your day has improved since then. Don't feel too bad-I do stuff like that all the time! Hugs
from mgottlieb :
Sadly, I'm not kidding about the Skany Ho. On the bright side, however, I don't think that he is pursuing her, it appears to be the other way around. She just won't give up. Everything that I have uncovered so far points to him staying on the straight and narrow and her begging for some sort of attention. So far. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and watch the situation. I am such a sneaky bitch, I swear. Thanks for being here for me, by the way. I really appreciate it :)
from laurie2002 :
What a bummer!
from foursquare :
Damn, that ticket & fine is nothing compared to South Carolina! Yeah just what you want to hear, but damn, if it was here half your license would be gone and you'd be paying hundreds for it. Glad it wasn't worse for you!
from mgottlieb :
I know what you mean, I bawled during Extreme Makeover Home Editiona last night, too. Then I laughed my ass off at Wife Swap.
from moodymama :
awwwww, i missed that cute picture!! :) such pretty girls.
from msguided :
I totally love-love-love the middle name LeRae ;) Very cute.
from cmkern3 :
You're so sweet! I'm the lucky one to have her - she seriously rocks beyond all things that rock. Also? Could your daughter be more beautiful? No, I don't think she could. And also, I realize Brett has these games from time to time but THE BEARS GAME?????? Grrrrr! ;)
from pashiesplace :
Great pic of such beautiful girlies!
from treesssa :
Beeea-oootiful girls!!
from laurie2002 :
sometimes i get cramps, sometimes it's headaches...always a surprise :) thanks for the note!
from msguided :
I'm not sure. But I think it has to do with the freshman's age and the fact that they aren't in a really solid place in their lives. Like they haven't figured out what they want to be...think college is the easy way out...and aren't really aware that you have to PAY BACK loans. ;) My son doesn't quite get that last part.
from moodymama :
how weird. i never used to have cramps either until recently. i didn't even recognize them. kept thinking that i had to take a crap. you know i just had to throw a crap comment in there. :)
from treesssa :
"Hang a fucking shower curtain? Sure dad no problem. Right after I get done knitting this doily for you." Ha! Love it! You totally rock sistah!
from treesssa :
"Hang a fucking shower curtain? Sure dad no problem. Right after I get done knitting this doily for you." Ha! Love it! You totally rock sistah!
from nixtress :
Looks like the Dland monster ate all my notes, doesn't it? Nah, I just cleaned them out. Fresh slate and all that. Figured it was time. At any rate, thanks for adding one :) you have officially left your mark! Hope you feel better soon.
from treesssa :
LOL, Nicole, i am laughing at the "all he wants is a piece of ass" part! Chris is the same way. Me: Um Chris, the house is on fire. Chris:Oh really? Is that a new terry-cloth robe? It sure looks sexy, wanna go fool around? Pfffffft!Men.LOL Oh yeah! I forgot to gloat about the game yesterday....um nevermind.hehehe
from msguided :
Is it wrong for me to laugh at this entry? Because I totally am. Life is similar at my house. I JUST told hubby what I was doing tomorrow (today) - about 1/2 hour later he says, "...blah, blah, blah...you'll be sleeping in." And I just looked at him, like "HUH? I JUST told you what I'm doing FIRST THING in the morning!" Then he 'forgot' it 2 more times last night and once again today because he called me when I wasn't home! What a knob! Heh.
from peytonsplace :
Yay for Morgan!
from moodymama :
lmao...a male epidemic: the missing gene. ha! it all makes sense now! :)
from nascarwidow :
Congrats to your daughter! Yikes on the man in the room. Hope you work on the sitter situation and get no roomie. I hate roomies too.
from nixtress :
Too funny! Today was all about the floors, eh? As for being generous with my time, it's primarily because I have a little extra now that the kids are in school again and I try to give back some of what I've been given. I don't want to grow old, alone, with no one to help me. Beyond that, I seem to collect animals, children and the elderly. Who knew?! :P
from treesssa :
Hey! Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a note. I just checked out your diary and i hope you don't mind, but i would like to add you to my favs. Thanks again for the nice nice. Catch ya later!Take care!
from nixtress :
I'm so glad you're updating regularly again. Glad mine didn't disrupt your lunch :P
from starlight42 :
I loved the girls weekend pics! You look like a fun group.
from starlight42 :
I couldn't get the pics to come up. I kept getting my yahoo pics page. Good luck with meeting with the church. It was much easier meeting with our preist than I thought, or Dave expected. That's great though you'll be members, you will feel good about it :)
from peytonsplace :
I'm here just incredibly busy and uninspired for the time being. :)
from cmkern3 :
Finally an update! 5 days?! Gah!!! Good for you taking a day off!!!
from mgottlieb :
Your weekend looks like it was a blast! Now I miss my girlfriends :(
from nascarwidow :
What a hoot! Gotta love a kid who uses his brain. Even it he didn't know he did! Tell him that next time he needs to wash your auto!
from nixtress :
Holy cow, I had to laugh at Mason's Carwash. Too funny. Kids are great, aren't they?
from laurie2002 :
He's gonna want Evian in the shower pretty soon.
from iwanttotell :
Thanks for the laugh :-) That will be a story to share with Mason's girlfriend in about ten years, as you show her his embarrassing baby pix! Hugs
from foursquare :
I know exactly how you feel, if you caught my story about Booger making her "garden" in the livingroom. :)
from laurie2002 :
HAPPY LABOR DAY WEEKEND!
from nascarwidow :
So why not just ask if police records are checked for PTO members? Here we have our records checked if we have anything to do with the school. I'd be pretty unhappy knowing she's got some control over money. OR you could become the treasurer and keep her out of the money!!
from wifemotherme :
Thank you so much for adding me but PLEASE take my name off of your buddy list - I am not "out" with my diary and would rather not be "outted"
from myexodus :
Thanks for adding me to your buddy list....I thought it was funny that I click on your diary and see you did an entry on the PTA/PTO...I just did one! Any how, I'm the Treasurer for our PTA and the President or Vice President should not have anything to do with the money. But as one of your notes indicated, I'd tell the Treasurer about past problems she has had with money, just so she is aware and keeps her away from handling any of the fund raiser money.
from twisted-mind :
Don't they do background checks on people who work in the school?
from mgottlieb :
Sweets, if you are old, I am ANCIENT. About the feloneighbor; doesn't the PTO have a treasurer as well? If so, maybe just a heads-up to that person will prevent any undue thievery.
from nixtress :
That's quite a situation to have on your plate. I can understand your dilemma. I don't think I'd want someone like that in charge either. Good luck figuring that one out! I wish I had some wisdom to offer :(
from dangerspouse :
You know, I was VERY concerned when I made that "One Vote = One Dollar" offer that you were gonna show up and demand your share. Oh, don't get me wrong. It's not that I don't want your vote, and yes, I'm gonna honor my end of the graft. But...it just KILLS me to know that you're probably gonna look at that fast wealth in your fist, and then weaken. Instead of it going towards the Sam Adams Cherry Wheat fund, you're gonna march that dollar down to your local Swill Store then plunk it down in exchange for a CAN (brrrr) of Bud Light. Travesty! I can't bear to think of my poor dollar (that I loved) debasing itself like that. Oh well, a deal's a deal. You'll get your damn dollar if you trust me with your address. Maybe I'll even toss in a Guiness refrigerator magnet. Because I'm just that fucking nice. (ps. Thanks for the vote! I'm such a whore....) :)
from moodymama :
::perk:: a private entry? i hope you don't get sick. or maybe it's just one of those one day bug types of things where by the time you realize you're sick, it's gone! :)
from cmkern3 :
Ooooo - do share!!
from nascarwidow :
Have a great weekend and try not to get too emotional! Your face will get all puffy and your eyes will swell up. Then you won't be able to see to reach for your bottle of beer, you'll knock it over and get your smokes all wet... You see, it just won't be a good thing!
from msguided :
Have an excellent weekend!
from la-blue-eyez :
Sounds like a great weekend is in store! Have fun and enjoy! Oh! And have a beer for me also. :)
from mgottlieb :
Have a GREAT girl's weekend! You deserve it :)
from moodymama :
In fact, drink about five of them for me! Haha. :)
from moodymama :
OMG, I'm soooo jealous!!! Have lots of fun and drink somethin' good for me! :)
from shewhowalks :
Thank you for your incredibly kind words. I never know what to say when people say they like my journal/diary/whathaveyou. But thank you, it really, REALLY warms my heart.
from la-blue-eyez :
Thank you!
from twisted-mind :
Happy 4th birthday to your big boy, Mason!
from mgottlieb :
Happy Birthday to Mason and kudos to you and your uterus for bringing him into this world. (Hey! The mommy nevers gets the credit she deserves!)
from peytonsplace :
I know this is a couple of entries back, but don't you hate it when they act that way in front of people! One night we had some friends from out of town over and some other friends. We were playing Cranium, having a good time, drinking and such. Larry and I were on the same team and something happened during the game to make him snap. Like he was in my face and all, it was insane. Nothing like that had ever happened before, and i doubt ever will again, but you still feel like people are thinking, why is she married to him?!?! Luckily, the friends were both our friends so they know he's not like that normally. Crazy men.
from moodymama :
btw, glad he apologized. he should! haha. men.
from moodymama :
i hope mason has a happy, happy birthday!! :)
from nixtress :
You're best bet is to just hold on loosely. They grow and there's no stoppin' it. However, they give us pieces and memories to stow away, and that's both a blessing and a sorrow. Love him lots. I know you'll help him be the best 4 yr old he can be.
from laurie2002 :
Maybe you could put a brick on his head.
from freetobemee :
When you find out how to keep Mason from growing older, will ya let me know? I can't believe my baby's 3 1/2!!! SOB!! I know what you mean!!! Glad you and Aric are back on the up...take care!
from cmkern3 :
Awwwwww...so sweet!!!
from mgottlieb :
Yes, our better halves are so predictable. Except, you know, when they aren't. LOL
from iwanttotell :
Men can be real dicks when they want to be. Sounds like he was looking for a fight-I guess that's how they feel when we're PMS-ing! He'll come around, but I'm glad you're standing tall. Hugs
from mgottlieb :
According to my crystal ball you should have an apology by Friday. Of course, it will be given grudgingly and with much heavy sighing and the rolling of eyes. Or, there will be flowers involved. Mark my words.
from alwaysnaive :
Be strong girl! Keep waiting for that apology - I think it will come sooner or later. Husbands can be so clueless sometimes.
from la-blue-eyez :
I'm glad you're back now!
from laurie2002 :
glad you're back! thanks for the note!
from mgottlieb :
I'm sorry about your friend! I hope he has a speedy recovery. It's good to have you back, you've been missed :)
from nascarwidow :
I hope your first day back is wonderful!!!
from mgottlieb :
Damn computer :)
from nixtress :
I HATE it when entries get eaten--frustrating! And I'm not one to do it up right in some word processing program prior to posting. Glad to see you're well, looking forward to having you back :)
from cmkern3 :
I'm sayin!!! :) When I do visit GB, you better be ready!! ;)
from captvfirefly :
It's good to hear from you! I'm sure you can't wait until things get back to normal. And congratulations on being an aunt! :) Glad to hear you're doing well (but ready to get back to your home office)!
from iwanttotell :
Nice to hear from you. I'm sure it'll be a big relief for you when things are back to normal. Hugs
from beautyx3 :
I just locked up for a bit as a safety precaution. I'm unlocked now though. Thanks for the note. have a good weekend!
from dnyl22 :
Hey, sorry I haven't stopped by in a while but it's been a crazy summer. Hope all is well for you. Take care :)
from mgottlieb :
Glad you could sneak in for a minute! I miss your updates!
from moodymama :
i've missed you lots. glad you're doing okay. :)
from peytonsplace :
I miss you too!
from laurie2002 :
Miss ya!
from starlight42 :
sorry to hear about the anniversary blow out and the haircut boo-boo. That's why I always worry when I get my hair cut. My mom always used to say to tell them less than you actually want cut, because they usually go overboard. But I've been to places where they cut less- and you barely get a trim! Oh well, I'm sure it looks ok though. :)
from moodymama :
i miss you! even when busy, don't forget to take bubble baths and to stop and smell the roses. :o) glad to know that you're doing okay. are you gonna post pics of your new hairdo?
from tigerlily21 :
We miss you too! Can't wait until you come back. Hope you are doing well and having fun!
from iwanttotell :
Look at it this way-it'll be longer till you have to get it cut again! They never seem to get the idea of just a trim, do they? Can't wait until you are back with us on a regular basis again. Hugs
from nixtress :
We miss you too :)
from dangerspouse :
Just wanted to let you know I was thinking SPECIFICALLY OF YOU when I wrote my last entry. You'll know which line I mean. Hope you can get back to posting soon!!!
from dangerspouse :
Oh man, I stop reading people's diaries for a few days, and look what happens to you. So much drama, such excitement! Anyway, I'm glad you're getting to Green Bay, and it was very touching to read how you dealt with your friend's tragedy. But most of all - bring some GOOD beer camping with you for once, will ya? Oh, and have a great time :)
from captvfirefly :
I'm just catching up, and I wanted to say how sorry I am to hear about your friends loss. But, she is lucky to have a friend like you - I know she's in good hands. Prayers are being sent for you and your friends family. Also, I hope you have a great time at the festival - with no mosquitos! :)
from vindicated4u :
Thank you for the note. It feels good to be back. I usually keep everything bottled up and writing is a great release for me. It helps me get through the day. Thank you for your support.
from peytonsplace :
Thanks for the note. :) I hate this, even though I "know" everything is ok, I just feel weird, you know.
from leilei49 :
sorry about your friend. :o( i hope you enjoy yourself at the festival, sounds like you could use a break. ((((((((((nicole)))))))))
from ray0flight :
I'm so sorry for your friends... *hugs*
from maineland :
more prayers on their way. [[hugs]]
from jamsjunction :
My prayers are with your friend.
from peytonsplace :
Oh Nicole, I am so very sorry. That is just horrible. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.
from iwanttotell :
I am so sorry to hear your news. Being there is all you can do, and it sounds like you're doing a great job of it. You have a good understanding of what your friend is going through. Saturday was the 21st anniversary of the day my father did much the same thing. I know with all certainty that I could not endure it a second time. She's incredibly fortunate to have you. Hugs
from mgottlieb :
Oh, hon! I'm so sorry for your friend's loss! I know exactly how you feel, I went through something similar with a friend this winter. I don't know how someone could inflict this kind of pain on thier family, it boggles my mind. I hope he is at peace, though, since he chucked everyone else's happiness for it. Hang in there, your friend is lucky to have you!
from nicky-d :
Oh, Nicole... I'm so, so very sorry for your friend's father-in-law's passing. I am sorry for both his family that he left behind and for you, too, because I can tell just how much it's affecting you. This entry completely choked me up... it's just so sad. No matter how upset the person is, suicide truly is a selfish act. I wish people who committed suicide really thought about the effects it has on the people they leave behind. If they did, maybe so many people wouldn't go through with it. If you need anything at all, you know how to reach me. *Big Hugs*
from cmkern3 :
Ohhhhh I am sooo sorry hon!!! What a horrible situation. Let me know if you need to chat.
from punker85 :
Sorry for locking up... I am not the happiest camper right now. I started hanging out with Spyder again... and he told me that his mom thinks I am a nut and doesn't like me because she came across my diary in a Google search. She read the whole thing... This is only temporary though... In a little bit, when I have a lot of time on my hands, I am going to take all of my old entries off and put them somewhere else that is locked... and just keep one months worth of updates on there... and just keep on moving them then... its so stupid... She needs to learn to mind her own business! But thanks for checking up... Good luck with the new promotion!! -Brit
from alwaysnaive :
WHOO HOO! Good for you! You're hard work has finally paid off and I'm sure it feels great to be appreciated (I certainly wouldn't know....) Anyway, good luck and don't let the bitches grind you down.
from iwanttotell :
Good for you! Sometimes it does pay to give 110%! Woo-hoo!
from twisted-mind :
Wow, now if that doesn't make you feel special. How cool to have your boss fight that hard to keep you. Congrats! I am sure you deserve it more than the other girl anyway.
from leilei49 :
man, it must be nice to be appreciated like that. now...do you have any openings at your job? :o)~ ((((((((((nicole)))))))))))) yay!
from cmkern3 :
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Good things happen to good people!!
from jamsjunction :
Ohh that sounds like a fantastic opportunity. I hope that you get everything worked out and you stay in GB. I will keep my finger crossed for you!
from twisted-mind :
Awww that was a sweet entry. I'm glad you and your husband got to chat and be friends. Its so nice to be reminded why you love them.
from nascarwidow :
Fabulous entry, Nicole!! I always love to read about your wonderful husband. Yes, he's still a man and does those inconsiderate things occasionally, but overall, he's a gem. It's great to read that you realize that and take it for what it's worth. Even though we aren't all as lucky, it's good to know that there are some out there like him. Thanks!!!
from laurie2002 :
awwwwwwww you're so lucky...so is he :)
from mgottlieb :
Wow. By any chance, is your friend's name Bobby? You just described Jana's soon-to-be-ex to a T. Wierd, huh?
from nascarwidow :
Nicole it sounds absolutely wonderful! I'm so happy for you that it went so well AND that it's over. Now you can relax, at least until the job move!
from jamsjunction :
So glad to hear the party was a huge success! Happy Belated birthday to Arric
from cmkern3 :
Awwww!! Sounds like an awesome time!!
from laurie2002 :
You know, I always say it's not a party until someone falls into your fire pit, fights you for their keys and pisses/vomits on your carpet. Heh!
from nicky-d :
Guestbooks seem to be down, so I'm in here for a change. So glad to hear that the party was such a success! It sounds like you can throw one hell of a party. I'd like to see any husband top that for his wife. :)
from iwanttotell :
I bet they'll talk about that party for years! Sounds like you pulled it off like a pro. He's a lucky guy!
from twisted-mind :
Wow you are such a kick ass wife. I bet your husband will never forget this birthday! Glad everything turned out good.
from laurie2002 :
there is no "I" in Team, but there is a "me" heh!
from nascarwidow :
Geesh, you must be pissed, you triple posted! (Damn D-land!) You're right and he's wrong. That's all there is to it! Gender defect, they just don't understand certain things, and see what they want, when they want.
from cmkern3 :
Awwwww! :)
from mgottlieb :
Boy, I bet you'll really miss your old boss! Bwa,ha,ha! Seriously though, what an idiot. I agree that you will be somewhat handicapped if you start a day after your new team, it will just throw the dynamic off, somehow. You stick to your guns!
from nixtress :
Thanks for the help with my template. And Grams had a good day today! :) It's like sunshine on the stormiest days lately. Hope this finds you and your kidlets well!
from cmkern3 :
Yay! I cannot wait!!! It's going to be a blast!
from cmkern3 :
Ok, so here's the deal. Weet can't hook up Saturday this week, so we have decided to have an official "Bad Bar" event on July 17th, whereby there will be much fun. And booze. Work it! Will the 17th work for you?
from cmkern3 :
Perhaps we should email?! I can't believe I might meet you this weekend! I gotta email Weetabix too!!
from cmkern3 :
Yeah I'm that close! I am on Lake Michigan - just over the IL/WI border in Mundelein. Takes about an hour to get to Milwaukee.....!
from cmkern3 :
According to Mapquest - Green Bay is about a 2.5 hour drive. Hmmmmmmm.......
from peytonsplace :
That sounds like a great weekend!
from cmkern3 :
Wooohooo!!! Party at nmnohr's house! What time should I be there and how many single (fellow hockey player) men will be there???? :)
from laurie2002 :
That cake is going to be adorable. Don't forget to take pictures for us.
from cmkern3 :
OMG I swear sometimes you and I were split at birth or share a brain or something. I have the same problem with Father's Day cards! Unbelievable.
from nixtress :
Thank you. I'm trying..some days are worse than others. Today was one of those. Hopefully, tomorrow morning she'll have forgotten completely today. I can hope.
from mgottlieb :
I hope Morgan had a great birthday! And I hope she appreciates you for having the courage to incubate her for nine months and for pushing her out into this crazy world!
from moodymama :
Happy, happy Birthday Pretty Morgan!! :o)
from laurie2002 :
Happy Birthday, Morgan!
from cmkern3 :
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MORGAN!!!!!!
from alwaysnaive :
Geez, Nicole. You're making me all teary-eyed and I don't even have any kids! Seriously, that was a very touching entry about Morgan's birthday. I hope she knows what a sweet, loving mother she has.
from suz324 :
I remember you talking about celebrating her birthday last year.... ahhh! we've known each other for a year... WAHOO!
from nascarwidow :
Hope you're feeling better and the new boss is the best! Do you have a radar detector?
from nixtress :
What size is he in? It rained like mad here and I barely sold a thing. And Ry is very easy on his clothes :) hope you feel better soon!! Being sick just sucks.
from cmkern3 :
NO!!! You cannot NOT feel good at the same time as you kids will be gone!! That SUCKS! Hope you feel better girl.
from groupie94 :
Thank you for the comments on my Children's pics... I hope you are feeling better today... It sucks feeling yucky on the weekend...
from moodymama :
(((((((((((N)))))))))))) hope you feel better, luv. :o)
from laurie2002 :
you rock...don't ever change.
from cmkern3 :
Ohhhhhhhh - no kids?!! My little one is with her dad for the next month or so - I hardly know what to do with myself (although I've been filling the time quite nicely - and crazily I might add...hehehe...) Have fun & take advantage of the time!!
from jamsjunction :
Late I know, but I wanted to say welcome back from vacation. I missed ya.
from nixtress :
Honestly, I've been putting things away for the last couple years, saying to myself "one of these days"..and now my garage is packed with crap that just needs to go. How better to do that than a sale of sorts! I can't say that I love the set up all that much but the money will be nice. And I understand the crabby days--hopefully tomorrow will be better. :)
from dangerspouse :
Oh man, what a morning! Although I must admit that I have those sorts of days also. They just never bother me as much because I start drinking so damn early. You may wanna consider that.... :)
from mgottlieb :
I can totally relate to your day. Sometimes we get all our crap together and then forget where we put it. At least Morgan is a good sport!
from laurie2002 :
I had my debit card and my license in my pocket on Sunday and had nothing on Monday. It sucks.
from cmkern3 :
Hey - thanks for the note! Yeah - first loves SUCK but it really was cathartic to write about it. 11-12 years too late but ahhh well - what can I say? :) I missed your entries during your vacation!!
from laurie2002 :
yay! Missed ya!
from moodymama :
you updated! ::faint::
from peytonsplace :
Glad you're back. Missed you.
from moodymama :
i hope you're still not sick :o( it's been a whopping six days since your last update! this is inexcusable. the only reason not to journal is like, if you have gangrene in your fingers. hehe. :o)~
from nascarwidow :
Awesome pictures. So sorry to hear you're sick.
from moodymama :
:o)
from laurie2002 :
damn, I think I'm gonna be gay so I can have a crush on you
from twisted-mind :
Sure you can email it to me at [email protected].
from twisted-mind :
Great pictures. You can photo shop that beer bottle out. If you don't know how I can do it for you. Just ask. :o)HOpe you feel better soon!
from savecraig :
Sweet, my site has been banned, wait, that's violating my freedom of speech! I want your boss' number!!
from laurie2002 :
I've sneezed with a mouthful of frosted flakes, and that's pretty gross. I know you will miss bitch #1 and bitch #2 if you have to go to the new job.
from nixtress :
I feel your frustration with your job--mine also gets chaotic and is run by a stuporvisor who hasn't a clue. The weekend away did big things for my mentality and my patience. Thanks for the notes of support lately. Try not to let work grate too badly on you--not an easy task, I know. Good luck making that decision! :)
from nascarwidow :
Sorry you're having such a rough time with your job. Good luck making your decision. WTG on walking.
from mgottlieb :
Chex mix out the nose has GOT to be painful!
from suz324 :
He He He... He He... I could so imagine that!
from dangerspouse :
Ok, so your broccoli baboon chewed through my oatmeal buddy. Big deal - he had to eat BROCCOLI in order to do it. Blech!! Probably drinks piss beer, too. (But thanks for spankin' my monkey!)
from peytonsplace :
As long as it's cooked.
from peytonsplace :
Actually, brain with a nice Hollandaise sauce isn't bad. ha ha
from laurie2002 :
What time should I be there?
from peytonsplace :
Wow, you plan early! I couldn't keep it a secret that long.
from jamsjunction :
Ohh man that sounds like such a blast..can you make room for one more :) That is alot of beer, and my ohh my, are they all sleeping at your place to?
from peytonsplace :
That reminds me of that commercial for esurance.com. The one where the guy signs up for esurance after breaking his own arm and then putting it in a sling. ha ha
from peytonsplace :
You have got to be one of the busiest people I know.
from mgottlieb :
I think I can run through the maze if you can eat the nasties :)
from nixtress :
Thank you for your very sweet note! I think you have such a healthy attitude..and peanut butter and moms go together like popsicles and kids. Take care and have a great weekend!
from mgottlieb :
Are you kiding? Moms and peanut butter products go hand-in-hand, my friend! Seriously, though, I'm in total empathy with you on this subject. In fact, my sister and I were just emailing each other about our concerns for our dad's health. My mom has always been the strong and healthy one; she treated her breast cancer like it was a minor inconvenience. I will be totally lost when she goes. :(
from peytonsplace :
I know I will absolutely lose my shit when my mom dies. It makes me tear up just to think about it. I told her a couple of weeks ago that we were just going to grow old and senile together and they'd put us in the nursing home together. By then, we'd be too old to know if something bad happened. When we went and visited them last time, she came down with a stomach bug and laid in bed all day. Peyton went in there with my dad and "talked" to her for a while. It was eerie, like she had a terminal illness or something. I knew she was ok, but I had to walk away because it was just too scary.
from moodymama :
yay! rupert won! :o)
from freetobemee :
Too funny about Mason! Hunter was the SAME way, but G encouraged it because he figured it'd be easier to potty train him. Fricken Genius. Hunter would whip it out ANYWHERE. We lived on a busy highway and Hunter would go out on the deck facing the highway & whip it out and go. People use to honk and get a kick out of it, so he thought he was doing something funny & kept at it! It took us a LONG time get Hunter to realize that no one wants to see him pee...little turd! :) Thanks for sharing your story! It made my day!!
from peytonsplace :
I can only imagine in the next year how many times my uncles and dad are going to get Peyton to pee outdoors. It's like a family ritual or something. He did pee in the pool the other day. Larry and he were swimming, and when they got out, Larry took his diaper off and put the cover on the pool. He looks over and there's Peyton, peeing on the pool cover. ha ha
from mgottlieb :
Mason and the Man-Cub need to start a club; Outdoor Pee-ers Of America! Just remind Mason never to pee in front of the Church Lady's daughter and all will be right with the world.
from peytonsplace :
That is a buttload of people! I think you're crazy. hahaha
from mgottlieb :
You and I must be linked by karma or something. We always seem to update within moments of each other :)
from laurie2002 :
Nicole, We here at work would all appreciate it if you would stop inconveniencing us by being sick. Please be considerate of others. Sincerely, The Management
from nascarwidow :
Wow, just reading your hectic summer schedule makes me tired! How do we do it? I've noticed that even though we (women) get exhausted trying to do it all and have such full lives, we don't seem to back off or cut things out. Your entry proves this since you're trying to fit "one more thing" into an already crazy schedule. You'll do it somehow cause that's just the way it is. :) It all looks like fun and I can't wait to read about it afterward. Gee Mom, how can you go on with life knowing you've ruined your poor childs life? ;o) That's just too funny! Hope all this weekends plans worked out well for you.
from freetobemee :
HODAG!?!?! I've always wanted to go there, but never found anyone to take me! hee-hee! Actually, every year I say I'm gonna go, but as the years go by, I realized - I don't like country music all that much anymore. Sad,isn't it? Oh well, now that T's been in my life I'm more of a "rocker"! Well, have fun anyway! I can't wait to hear about it! Are you going to Summerfest in Milwaukee, by the way? I forgot what was on your "schedule" for that day. ha-ha...dang - you're a busy mama!! :) take care! sorry it's been so long since I've put a note here...I just don't make enough time for this thing anymore!! But- I'm still READING!! :)
from peytonsplace :
Hwy, at least you can be proud of your articulate, albiet a bit dramatic, son.
from mgottlieb :
Hey, you're a mom. It's your JOB to ruin thier lives.
from laurie2002 :
that's a trip...on horseback
from peytonsplace :
With whips and chains? hee hee hee http://peytonsplace.diaryland.com/private username private, password folder
from alwaysnaive :
I love your blue shoes in those pics! I have a weakness for blue shoes...and red shoes. And well, shoes in general.
from mgottlieb :
HA, ha, ha! That is so something that I would do! I'm glad I'm not alone in my mental instabil....what was I saying?
from laurie2002 :
that's one fine husband...oh and good thing Morgan can talk!!
from moodymama :
awww, beautiful mommy, beautiful kids, and your husband is HOT. haha. :o)~
from judybean :
What GREAT pics!! I know it's obvious, but you've got cute kids, a cute husband and you're cute yourself!! DUH!
from foursquare :
I don't notice it so much with Morgan I guess since she's older, but boy is Mason growing! Cute kids you have there :)
from laurie2002 :
I am the only one that cries during Extreme Home Makeover? I hope I'm not. I wish I could get the gumption to start exercising again.
from jamsjunction :
Soo good to hear your dad is doing better. I am sure that is some what of a relief off your chest. I watch Extreme Home Makeover to, every Sunday and Thursday. I know Thursday is a re-run of Sundays episode, but I still watch it, and I still bawl the entire time. They do such amazing things for good people. Hope you have a fantastic weekend!
from mgottlieb :
Glad to hear that your dad is doing so well! Have a great weekend!
from laurie2002 :
You should ask the magic 8 ball if you are going to have sex.
from nicky-d :
Nicole, you're the 2nd person to tell me you didn't get my e-mail with my new diary's username/password the other night. (I couldn't/wouldn't forget you!) I sent it to your D-land address, so I guess you didn't get it? I don't know where else to e-mail you, so if you could, please e-mail me a regular e-mail address so I could send the info to you. Still don't know why some of you got the e-mails and some of you didn't, sorry about that! Yeah, that'll be the last time I send e-mail straight from D-land. :P
from jamsjunction :
I just had to share this with you. http://www.mattelgames.com/magic8/flash_index.asp Theres your magic 8 Ball. I hope that things come together soon, and you arent left in the dark about everything til July!
from laurie2002 :
It is certain.
from mgottlieb :
With my luck, the Magic 8 Ball would say "Try Again Later". Hang in there, hon. The right answer will present itself.
from judybean :
Ugh. I wish I had a magic 8 ball as well so that I could know what to do. Being a 'grown up' certainly isn't all it's cracked up to be. Especially with the decision-making part. I hope all goes well.
from laurie2002 :
I am honored by your approval. (heeeee)
from laurie2002 :
Will they take the dress back now?
from peytonsplace :
I agree. As long as they aren't being tortured does it really matter? They ARE animals.
from peytonsplace :
Be sure to take lots of photos!
from laurie2002 :
When Alyssa ends up with more than one outfit, she changes midway through whatever it is. On Easter, she changed after mass. heh!
from mgottlieb :
Congratulations to Morgan!
from captvfirefly :
4-20-04 I'm sorry things on the job front are going haywire right now. You know, at my company they NEVER tell us what's going on either. And hell, I'm in HR/Payroll, and I'm STILL the last to know. I hope something really good comes out of this for you, as I understand the feeling of not wanting to start over. This may be a really good opportunity for you! Anyway, it's too bad all the workers aren't as smart as you - they really do have a good person in you (duh!). It's too bad they don't take your suggestion and sit down with the employees and brainstorm. I know at our company, they're getting more open to the idea of suggestions ... but they still don't tell us shit. LOL Anyway, I hope things go well, and know I'm here pulling for you. :)
from laurie2002 :
Yeah, work sucks. I'll watch your kids for an hour by the way...no problem. Just fly them in every night. Maybe Celine Dion will let us borrow her helicopter.
from laurie2002 :
is it my computer, or were ya'll fighting in Gaelic?
from peytonsplace :
How funny. Why would you just tell someone that? Larry and I fight over dumb stuff like that too. I guess better that than affairs or something bigger.
from cmkern3 :
Awwwwwwwww! Too cute!
from nixtress :
I was irritated too--I have to work second shift tomorrow night and therefore, while I get to watch them perform tonight, I'll miss seeing the results. Stupid president anyway :P
from dnyl22 :
I totall agree with you. This is the only American Idol that I've actually watched from the very beginning and now we'll have to see bits and pieces of the performances tonite. Unless maybe it got changed to tonite. Oh, btw if you haven't read my newest entry yet.......IT'S A GIRL!!!
from laurie2002 :
That's it! I'll start a club!
from peytonsplace :
Those kids of yours are too cute! As far as Soapdays goes, I was looking forward to writing the next part the whole time I've been writting, until I actually came to it. I need to get my butt in gear.
from nixtress :
Happy Easter to you and your kidlets :)
from mgottlieb :
You need to get a TIVO!
from foursquare :
Thanks for your notes! How has Morgan been doing with her bed wetting? Has she gotten any better about it? Poor girl, I've always felt a little bad for her about that, but I'm sure she'll outgrow it if she hasn't already.
from laurie2002 :
I'm here! Sorry about that. Next time, I'll give a warning.
from w8watch :
Yeah, I had added an entry. Strange, I was able to edit it, but it didn't show up. I added it again. Thanks. :)
from peytonsplace :
Where did Laurie go?
from foursquare :
Actually she just pooped on the potty for the first time and did it with no problem! Yay! Potty training is going really well today, twice she started to tinkle on the floor but caught herself and ran to her potty to finish. She's also gone one or two other times right on the potty and never "missed". I'm pleased with how it's going so far. :)
from mgottlieb :
That poor little girl! Her mom sounds like a smart woman who will help her through this though and, with a friend like you, they both will be fine.
from peytonsplace :
You know how crazy I think you are, but aside from that . . Have Fun!
from nascarwidow :
Alright you little stinker, you got me! I basically forgot it was April Fools Day and no one (except you) tried to fool me. Glad you're not leaving. Have fun on your trip. My best friend and I took a trip from Florida to Iowa with 5 little ones and 3 of those were in diapers! Now that was an adventure. Good luck.
from nascarwidow :
Don't leave! I love hearing your about your life. I love hearing about your loving hubby, crazy job and darling little ones. You just cannot quit! Your note to me really means a lot. Thank you! It's hard to put myself out there sometimes, but I believe it is helping. Thanks again and you better not stop posting!
from foursquare :
Ha ha, those were pretty good. But the link didn't work the first time I clicked it. Same thing yesterday too. Hmm. I can't imagine you leaving here either though!
from foursquare :
This is an April Fool's Day joke, right? 'Cause you ain't got nothing on jamsjunction... god she had me totally going.
from jamsjunction :
OMFG Please say you arent...
from beautyx3 :
I am confused??? You are not quitting are you?
from peytonsplace :
Ha, ha April Fools to you too!
from peytonsplace :
But of course!
from dnyl22 :
Just wanted to drop by and say hey. Every time I sit down to read updates I end up having to read so many that I forget to leave a note or something. Anyway, same thing happens to me, "I just want the ends trimmed" and I walk out with about 2-3 inches less hair then what I walked in with. Thank goodness my hair grows fast!! Take care :)
from laurie2002 :
I'll bet your hair looks fabulous. Good luck tomorrow. Hope you don't get fooled too badly.
from beautyx3 :
So they found the Madison girl. Do you know what happened to her? Was she kidnapped, or just a runaway?--I agree with you on hate for April Fools Day. It's C.J. and I's one year (or would be one year) anniversery on that day. Can you imagine all the mean tricks he could play. Like telling me he got me a huge diamond ring or something and it turns out to be a ring from the cracker jacks box.
from alwaysnaive :
Way to go Nicole! You bitch about your job just like I do, but you actually DO something about it instead of just griping. I hope the fuckers hear what you're saying and cut you some slack.
from peytonsplace :
That's so cool about your friend. :) I'm curious what your supervisors will reply with.
from suz324 :
Have I told you how amazing you are? You are... and I'm so grateful we're friends. :D
from mgottlieb :
Sounds like you had a busy weekend! Now that hockey is over for a bit maybe you should suggest that the Hubby take you on a romantic weekend get-away :)
from laurie2002 :
You were cool not to bitch at him about that.
from toriadenise :
isn't it amazing that the people we love the most annoy us the most...hmm.. Anywho I hope you have a great weekend...keep smiling!!! :)
from suz324 :
Babes, I know you're gonna have a fantastic weekend! So don't sweat it!
from jamsjunction :
I hope you have a fantastic weekend away, and enjoy the time together. I'm sorry its started out crappy, but it has to get better right!
from foursquare :
Heyyy, thanks for the note. Yeah, I guess just need to accept it for what it is and try and let the feeling be. It's just hard, to be torn in two such different directions, you know? Good luck with getting off on your trip!
from maybekatie :
*waves* Hello neighbor! Thanks for stopping by my diary. I intend to keep posting new snippits daily if I can. It's nice to meet a fellow cheesehead!
from mgottlieb :
I can so relate to your feelings about the kids! And they just grow up too damn fast! The Man-Cub is my little lover man just like Mason is yours; every night he demands "all the kisses" before bed. All the kisses include kisses on the lips, butterfly kisses, fishy kisses, eskimo kisses and kisses on both cheeks. I will surely miss this time when he is in high school and I'm lucky to get him to blow me a kiss when he is positive that no one is watching!
from dangerspouse :
I can't believe you got your son's cup for him. You are a HORRIBLE mother! I just hope he can recover before he grows to be a bitter, woman-hating old man. Like Dangerspouse.
from peytonsplace :
I'm right there with you. I had a trip scheduled for this weekend and at the last minute Larry does to, which means Peyton will be spending a long weekend with Grandma. I desparately want a weekend of adult time, but I feel bad for leaving him all weekend.
from peytonsplace :
Oh good, so I wasn't the only weird one.
from laurie2002 :
you sure it's not PMS...that's what happens to me when I have it :P
from nixtress :
Goodness gracious, woman, you've had one heck of a day!
from mgottlieb :
Your day is certainly sucking rocks. I am doing a good karma dance for you. Let me know when it hits :)
from peytonsplace :
well, shit.
from peytonsplace :
Peyton feel asleep on the way home last night and I was able to change him and keep him asleep too. I love that. :)
from peytonsplace :
Maybe you are speaking parseltongue, since all these people are obviously a bunch of snakes.
from dangerspouse :
Oh, you poor thing!! Well, at least cheap beer is liquid, right? Feel better soon!
from peytonsplace :
Just watch for dry sockets!
from mgottlieb :
Hidalgo was fab! You and the kids would love it!
from dangerspouse :
How dare you slander me in Nicky-d's diary notes! Calling me "long winded" just because I go on and on and on and on with paragraph after paragraph of nothing much other than pointless observations of nothing in particular that might be of interest to anyone other than me. So yeah - how DARE you! Oh wait...never mind. My wife just agreed with you. And she's never wrong. So, uh, seeya!
from ktdream :
Interesting that you like Thursdays. That's cool. Personally I've been liking every day of the week since coming to college. It's awesome! Such a change and I'm loving every second. Ahh sorry you had that exasperating exchange with customer. You kept your cool through it though; good job! Well, on the trip you're planning-- Do you only want beachy places because that's what it sounds like from your examples. Have you been to Hawaii? What about a cruise to Caribbean or something.. Or even Australia, New Zealand.. Ooh those sound good.
from laurie2002 :
I like my alone time which is every Thursday (exception: tonight). That customer sounds like some of my students.
from peytonsplace :
I like my alone time too. It's not bad in the least to feel that way. As far as your vacation goes, you know I want you to come here!
from adulterous-k :
Very kind of you. HTML isn't my thing so I spent a while looking for a design that would suit - missed out on updating and reading!
from dangerspouse :
Ok, it's an old joke, but it may be my one and only chance to use it. Ready? *ahem* "How do Cub Scouts become Boy Scouts?...They eat a Brownie!" Thank you, thank you....
from hlm79 :
Yeah, I hear ya. The Samoas kill me... I remember eating an entire box once when I pregnant, oy.
from captvfirefly :
My sister ordered me a box of GS cookies without even asking me! Can you believe that? So she gave them to my dad (to pass on to me), and before I even saw them, he sold them to a coworker. Yay for Dad! lol He knew I didn't want them or need them, but he also knew if I actually HAD the box, I'd eat them. It's still early yet though.. I may see more. LOL
from peytonsplace :
You know, I haven't actually ordered any GS cookies this year. What's wrong with me?!?!
from peytonsplace :
I'm not sure. I emailed Andrew, but haven't heard back. You can use the password if you want to (weight) and post an entry. :)
from dnyl22 :
Happy belated birthday. Sorry I missed it, glad to hear it was nice. :)
from peytonsplace :
Yay for Aaric! That's great news. That sucks about your dad, but I think you're doing the right thing.
from captvfirefly :
Hey there! Happy Belated Birthday!! :) I had a note on my calendar at work to remind me, but ... I haven't been at work since last Thursday. :) Anyway, it sounds like you had a wonderful day, and I just wanted to send some belated birthday love your way! And? Thank you so much for the comment in my diary. It really means so much to have people think highly of me. ((hugs)) Oh, and I hope your hubby is OK! When I read about his shoulder, I thought of Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon trying to get his shoulder back into place. OUCH! I hope it's ok. :)
from beautyx3 :
happy belated birthday! glad to hear you had a good b-day!! hope the next last year of your twenties goes well.
from nascarwidow :
Happy Birthday a day late! How was the clothes shopping?
from toriadenise :
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!! :) You deserve the best ever...
from treewillow :
Happy Birthday, I hope you have a wonderful day.
from txdaisy :
Thanks for the note you left me:o) I am glad you stopped by my diary, it's good to know that somehow people relate to my story, it just all seems so crazy at times, but it is my reality. *hugs*.
from nixtress :
Happy birfday :) I know how you're feeling right now...I'll be 29 on the 13th of March and I've said more than once that this is my last birthday and I'll be 29 forever. I hope your day has been filled with peace and joy and that those who love you have shown you in wonderful ways. :)
from dangerspouse :
HAPPY HAPPY! Many more, kiddo. Kudos for aging gracefully. Hope your Birthday rocks!!
from wifemotherme :
HAPPY BRITHDAY!!! I HOPE YOU HAVE A WODERFUL DAY AND A BLESSED YEAR!
from peytonsplace :
I thought if a bunch of us posted there then it would help all of us.
from cmkern3 :
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU....HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU....HAPPY BIIIIIIRTHDAY DEAR NMNOHR.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!!!
from alwaysnaive :
Happy Birthday and hope you have a great B-day celebration!
from peytonsplace :
Happy Day Before Your Birthday!
from peytonsplace :
Oops, I thought it was last Saturday. hee hee Ok, so Happy Early Birthday! I missed you too.
from beautyx3 :
Really? Can I live with you? J/K! Plus, I don't think my boyfriend would ever allow me to move to PackerLand. For some reason he has a grudge against Green Bay,... I wonder why?
from peytonsplace :
Hey, happy belated birthday! I'm sorry I didn't get on here sooner to say it. :) Congratulations on the new Godchild!
from dangerspouse :
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Many more, kiddo! (Gotta do this: "Because I can't seem to know only ONE person at a time that is pregnant......they come in spurts." No, the husbands did. That's why they're pregnant). Thang you. Thangyouverramuch....
from toriadenise :
Thanks!! You're notes always make me smile...really they do...things have been so crazy with my family lately...and it really seems that in this time when I needed my friends the most...they all have much better things to do...my best friend just told me that she'd rather go see her friend with benifets than go see Angie Aparo (you should check him out) in Athens (biggest party town in Georgia)...psh...great friends...oh well it's just a slump...thanks for reading me...and I hope everything gets better with you...I've been thinking of your father...
from dangerspouse :
Yay Aaric's team! Woo Hoo! Go have a cheap beer and celebrate!! :)
from peytonsplace :
Insurance just sucks. I'm sorry.
from jamsjunction :
I'm sorry. I dont have any words of wisdom, or great advice. But I can sympathize with you. I hope that your dads insurence gets it soon, and realizes he needs more then 2 visits! ((HUGS))
from peytonsplace :
I'm glad I could be of some support. I just wish I could do more. :)
from alwaysnaive :
Glad to hear things are looking up for your dad. Now you need to relax and drink lots of beer with your brother on your birthday. Hope you have a great time!
from dangerspouse :
Hey, first of all glad to hear your dad continues to improve (despite the asshole nurse - thank god he's out of her clutches now). Second - GOOD BEER RULES!! You'll see. Once your brother gets there and you pop the top on that first Anchor India Pale Ale, all your troubles will seem far, far away. Then you'll head over to my place and leave me a note telling me how you are in my debt forever. And i won't blame you a bit. :)
from peytonsplace :
See, that's why we don't have separate accounts. He gets a bonus, I get to spend it! Because really, who puts up with more in the relationship! haha
from dangerspouse :
Ooh, a food service worker. Such lofty aspirations! (Do all the kids go to the same hairdresser?) :)
from pashiesplace :
So glad your dad is doing better. You must be so relieved. Hugs.
from peytonsplace :
Yay! That's great news!
from peytonsplace :
Still here. Still thinking about you guys.
from cmkern3 :
Hang in there girlfriend...it'll get better!!!
from jamsjunction :
My thoughts & Prayers are still with you & your family. Please dont think that you always have to be strong at all times..Its ok to let it out. I understand your frustration. Big Hugs
from alwaysnaive :
Thanks for the update, Nicole. I've been checking every day to see how things are going. More hugs & prayers coming your way!
from peytonsplace :
Oh sweetie, I am so so sorry all this is happening. I'm praying for you guys and I'll let SuZ know what's going on. I wish I could do something.
from jamsjunction :
Nicole, my prayers & thoughts are coming your way! ((HUGS))
from hlm79 :
Damn Nicole, I know I keep saying the same thing, but I can only imagine how hard all that is. I hope your dad is getting back on the right track, and I hope you keep hanging in there too. *hugs*
from alwaysnaive :
Hang in there...lots of prayers coming your way, and I'm sure your dad is grateful for having you there to support him.
from hlm79 :
Still thinking of you and your dad, boy... That's a lot to deal with. By the way, I must also say "Ah-ha!" I saw an IP in my stats tracker from aurora health this weekend, which mysteriously was from Wisconsin... Figured they must have internet access at the hospital. :)
from judybean :
You and your father are still in my prayers. It's so hard to know when somebody is sick and you can do nothing, especially when they're in and out of things. [[hugs]
from peytonsplace :
That's cool about Aaric!
from captvfirefly :
Glad to hear your dad is doing better, but you and your dad are still in my prayers! ((hugs))
from dangerspouse :
Glad to hear about your dad's progress. And get those nurses candy! They deserve it regardless. :)
from peytonsplace :
Sweetie, you are constantly in my prayers!
from nascarwidow :
Glad to hear he's somewhat better. How sweet that he wants to give the nurses candy. Keep us updated.
from jamsjunction :
So good to hear there is some improvement! Thoughts & Prayers are with you!
from toriadenise :
I am thinking of you! ::hugs::
from dnyl22 :
My thoughts and prayers are with you, your dad and your family. Hang in there. Sending big (((HUGS))) your way.
from cmkern3 :
Many hugs to you and your family. I'm saying a prayer for your dad right now.
from peytonsplace :
Oh sweetie. I'm so sorry. I'm thinking about you guys!
from freetobemee :
Sending big hugs to you and your dad. Hang in there. I'm rooting for you guys.
from jamsjunction :
My thoughts & Prayers are with your father & your family.
from dangerspouse :
BWAHAHAHA! What a great gaffe! (Personally I think hubby ate the wrong one on purpose because HE was skeeved out by mule deer also. He just wouldn't admit it.) BTW, my wife offered me a similar dinner recently. She said it was "mule, dear." And she meant it. Great entry, babe!
from freetobemee :
That's frickin' HILARIOUS!!! Too funny, too funny.
from nixtress :
I about choked reading that entry! Too flippin' funny.
from peytonsplace :
hahahahahaha that is too funny!
from peytonsplace :
Oh dear. I know it's not funny, but "Oh look, a whole pack of gum under the seat." hee hee At least she's not sneaky enough to just take it home and hide it.
from judybean :
Glad you're back and glad things went well!! I was going through Nicole withdrawls!
from jamsjunction :
I definately missed you! So great to hear things with your dads surgery went well! Still praying! WELCOME HOME!
from pashiesplace :
Glad to hear that things are looking brighter for your dad & welcome back!
from dangerspouse :
Hey, I'm glad to hear the early results for your dad seem positive!! Of course, I take full responsibility for that. I sacrificed a goat for him last week. Can't wait to read your new stuff!
from peytonsplace :
I missed you too! I'm glad your dad is doing well and I can't wait to hear about your vacation. :)
from dangerspouse :
See what happens when you drink crappy beer? It makes your entire outlook as bitter as that brew, and you become indignant towards the men whom you should be bowing down to. "Ingratitude, thy name is Woman!" LOL...It was great reading your entries again, kiddo :)
from hlm79 :
Whoa. I think I'm I'm same friend you were talking about. Boy do I understand all of that! I should print it out for "Pooky" to read...
from toriadenise :
Thank you so much for the thoughts...This has been a really hard time in all of our lives, especially my sister and her husband. It sucks...that's the only thing anybody can think to say...I will keep your dad in my thoughts for his surgery! Thanks again...you don't know what it means...
from peytonsplace :
Larry has said the exact same thing to me about I do more than most dads. Well, bravo for you! (note the sarcasm) Chris Rock had a comedy skit many years ago where he was talking about (and this is quoting him) black men always thought they deserved metals for being good men. It was funny, and appies here. He would say, "I watch my kids" and the answer was, "N - - -, you supposed too!" or "I didn't rob a bank." "N - - , You're not supossed too!" Well, you get my drift. I feel the same way about husbands.
from peytonsplace :
I'm in a no entry mood too. Hence shortness and 100 things. ha ha
from alwaysnaive :
Your ski trip sounds AWESOME. I would love to be able to step right outside my cabin and go skiing. Hope you have a great time!
from cmkern3 :
Wow - we have a dentist in IL that will knock their asses right out if you want!
from judybean :
let's try 'sugary' instead of 'stugary'. ... darn keyboard!
from judybean :
Poor guy! It would kill me too to see my little one strapped to a board and all, but really it's probably best for both Mason *and* the dentist. Spoil him rotten afterwards!! (but maybe not with stugary stuff?!?) ;)
from peytonsplace :
Thanks to my one faithful reader. :) All hell should break loose in the next entry if I can figure out how to do it.
from groupie94 :
It's scary when a parent is sick, I am glad your dad is actively seeking treatment. My dad just had a bunch of Heart tests done @ the Mayo clinic in MN. Thankfully all looked good, but it was tense... know that your family is in my thoughts...
from peytonsplace :
I'm glad your dad opted for the surgery. I think that's the best course of action. I'm thinking about you.
from dnyl22 :
Thanks for the note, glad to see you'll still read after all this time!!!
from alwaysnaive :
Hey Nicole! If you have any Winn Dixies or Thriftways in your area, they have great generic diet sodas called Check. These are seriously the best diet sodas I've ever had and they are CHEAP. To help you get through the cold weather, which I hate too, by the way: in cold weather you can drink hot chocolate or hot apple cider, snuggle up in warm PJs, eat warm comfort foods like soup and grilled cheese sandwiches, have fires in the fireplace (if you have one), play in the snow and cuddle with your hubby to keep warm. These are the kinds of things I try to keep in mind when winter is getting me down. ^_^
from peytonsplace :
I bought the Denise Austin Pilates and Yoga tape. I'm hoping to get to some sort of workout routine.
from cmkern3 :
I hate diet soda! HATE IT! You have a stock purchasor already for a good tasting diet soda - right here!
from jamsjunction :
I am sorry to hear about your dads diagnosis. I will say a pray for him. Your right, no matter how treatable it may be, Cancer is still very scarey. Five years ago, both of my parents had cancer (although divorced) at the same time. My mom had chemo & radiation (at the same time), and my dad had his left kidney removed. They are both now in complete remission, and doing great. Hang in there! :)
from judybean :
If you like Wild Cherry Pepsi (which I actually like better than Pepsi, which says a lot because I love Pepsi), try the diet version because it really isn't so bad. Oh and Diet Dr. Pepper. I don't like the regular stuff but LOVE the diet version. Which is weird because otherwise I *despise* diet sodas.. especially Diet Pepsi. Gross.
from beautyx3 :
I can sympathize with your son on hating the dentist. I cried, really cried, last time I had to go, before I even got in the chair, my mom had to bribe me to get in the chair, and I'm a grown-up. What is it that makes dentist so scary? By the way, I have cut out my pop intake recently too, I also hate diet stuff, but I had a diet cherry coke which was good, doesn't taste like diet at all
from peytonsplace :
You know, my ped. mentioned taking Peyton to the dentist when he turned two, but I just can't imagine.
from peytonsplace :
Oh God, Nicole. That is so scary! I think I would have the surgery too, but then again, I guess impotence is hard for a man to swallow. If it was my husband though, I'd want whatever gave him the greatest change of remission. Such a tough choice!
from peytonsplace :
Wow, Friends like that are so hard to come by. In fact, I would say near about impossible!
from pashiesplace :
((((Hugs)))) My thoughts are with you & your family. I'm so glad that your dad does get screened yearly & has come to you for support.
from alwaysnaive :
I'm really sorry to hear about your dad. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.:::::HUG:::::
from cmkern3 :
Soooo sorry to hear about your dad!! My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Hon - I am SO sorry to hear about your dad. The only advice I can give having lost a loved one to cancer is that you need to tell him everything that you can think of to let him know just how much he's loved...and, as you said, be there - no matter how difficult it is. You take care, and we're all here for you!
from beautyx3 :
very sorry to hear about your Dad, I hope everything turns out ok.
from adulterous-k :
Thanks for the note - feel free to read as much as you want! Encouraging to know there is hope too.
from xperi-mental :
The winter blahs are the worst. It's good to hear that someone's marriage isn't going to the pits. X
from peytonsplace :
Yay for you two!
from beautyx3 :
I heard on the radio this afternoon an ad saying, "Minnesotans ski free! Paid for by the Packers." I guess Michigan's Indianhead ski resort is having a deal, where on one specific day if you bring a Minnesota valid i.d. you will get a voucher for a free lift ticket courtesy of the Packers as kind of a thank you for the Vikings losing to the cardinals. I thought it was pretty funny and generous of the packers, even though other Vikings fans around me disagreed.
from jamsjunction :
What an adorable hubby you have! You make a great couple..and great babys to! You have such beautiful babys!
from cmkern3 :
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I am so jealous you got to go to that AMAZING game!! I. Love. Me. Some. Brett. Favre. LOVE HIM!! Love the Pack! That game was incredible - you're so lucky to have been there!
from dangerspouse :
HEY!!! Put that damned cheap beer down, bitch! Your threat of opening swill has caused me to return. Thanks for the note over at my place - hopefully soon I'll have regular enough web access again that I'll be able to post more frequently. But until then: FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS DRINK CRAPOLA. So shut up, quit being an idiot, AND BUY A SIXPACK OF SIERRA NEVADA INDIA PALE ALE ALREADY!! You're welcome.
from peytonsplace :
Those are so sweet!
from pashiesplace :
Thank you so much for the note. It means alot. Love the pics you posted!
from peytonsplace :
The yummy gum always loses its flavor fast.
from beautyx3 :
Congratulations to your Packers! I am only sorry because now I have to put up with a bitter and crabby boyfriend because his "Choke Kings"(vikings) choked again.
from peytonsplace :
I can top that, Peyton had two pieces of cheese, a tortilla, a piece of bread and applesauce for dinner last night. I'm such a bad parent!
from peytonsplace :
Hey! Hope you had a Merry Christmas. My parents bought us an HP Photo printer for like $150 for x-mas and it prints great photos! Even better than Wal Mart.
from judybean :
I watched the game with quite a bit of emotion too. Favre's game was amazing and I'm so glad they came away with such a definitive win!!
from nixtress :
Merry Christmas. Be safe and at peace :)
from cmkern3 :
Yeah baby - gooooooooooooooooooooooo Packers! I love love love Brett Favre. When his wife came down to the field last night, I was like "Get your HANDS OFF MY MAN!" which you can imagine just THRILLED Ricardo. I, too, was touched at how the team pulled together. Now, I didn't cry, but I felt like I could if I saw one more person hug my Brett. It was very touching! Have a great Christmas! I, too, will be at work Friday - so be sure to update! :)
from alwaysnaive :
And idea for your haircut - get some bangs cut. I've been loving mine and they're very versatile. I can wear them down, or push them to the side, pin them back with a barette, etc. You can get some wispy bangs for a slight change or big, thick bangs (like mine) for a more dramatic change. Ask your stylist if he/she thinks you'd look good with bangs. Good luck with whatever you decide on! ^_^
from pashiesplace :
Oh. Wow. Talk about making me instantly grateful for a horrible day with healthy kids. It's just not fair. The poor family.
from peytonsplace :
Men. What more can I say?
from alwaysnaive :
Aaric should stay home and help you clean the house tonight if he REALLY wants to redeem himself. Did you get my e-card the other day??
from freetobemee :
Awww, at least he knows when he's being an ass! He's a keeper! :)
from cleanstart :
12/18...How sweet! A man that can admit his faults. That's one in a million! .
from nascarwidow :
Hang in there, Nicole. You know, they can't help themselves...it's a gender defect!
from hlm79 :
Uh-oh! Time for the search engine blocker I think. Lemme know if you want to know how and I'll e-mail you the code.
from mgottlieb :
I hope you get to feeling better soon!
from peytonsplace :
Was that seriously the e-mail they sent you?
from peytonsplace :
Can you ask her to answer the phones, or is she really that much of a bitch?
from freetobemee :
Whoa! I have THE SAME PROBLEM!! I'm not feeling sick, but I sound sick...I have man-voice so bad, but my throat doesn't even really hurt, I just sound terrible! :) Must be something going on in Wisconsin! I wasn't sick enought to not go out for drinks on Saturday, either! I'm laughing hysterically at the similarities of our weekends...but, it's a man laugh...Hope you're sounding better soon!
from peytonsplace :
Hmmm, I don't know if I want to be your friend anymore as that will surely result in a positive test. Honestly, I don't know what I want it to be. Can we afford this house we want if it is, but then again, if it is, we will need a bigger house. decisions, decisions.
from cleanstart :
Oh no...I hardly ever call my local terminal. Always other states. We ship all over, even out of country.
from cleanstart :
I am located in Memphis, but I expedite sihpments all day with my job. I talk to Con-way several times a day. Maybe I've talked to you before? LOL....
from peytonsplace :
Kudos on your non-greedy little girl! Mommy and daddy are definitely doing something right. :) I have no idea what to get Peyton either. I'm just going to walk around toys r us until inspiration hits.
from hlm79 :
I know when I was her age, I loved anything artsy craftsy. Stained glass kits, colored pencils & marker posters (the kind you draw in). I may have even begun cross-stitching projects then. Maybe things like that? One nice thing is they're small and cheap and you get her a billion things so she'll have lots of presents to open up. :)
from peytonsplace :
eek, new hairstyle, huh? How about color? That's what I do. And winks coming off the ice? How sexy!
from peytonsplace :
eek, new hairstyle, huh? How about color? That's what I do. And winks coming off the ice? How sexy!
from pashiesplace :
Oh sounds like a cool night! I LOVE Peabo BTW. He kind of gets lost in the shuffle of Luther Vandross & all the other big voiced black men though!
from dangerspouse :
Deal! Make sure he brings some of those chocolates.
from peytonsplace :
Aww, that's so sweet! I hope you have a great weekend and thanks for the compliment!
from dangerspouse :
Awww. I want a husband like that, dammit (although one that doesn't smoke). God, my wife can't even play hockey! Happy happy for your new coat! Woo hoo!!
from dangerspouse :
Actually, *I* picture you in torn Daisy Dukes and a dirty T-shirt also, sitting there sucking down putrid swill from the bottle. But then, that's how I picture all women. Just ask my mom. Thanks for your great note :)
from judybean :
12/3: This is where our lives suddenly become not-so-parallel. Aaric needs to give Mike some pointers because I sure as heck have not been getting any love notes lately!! But lucky you, enjoy them.. and have a great time "Building Memories!"
from jamsjunction :
How sweet of your husband! A girls weekend out, sounds like a blast! Keep warm, and YES stay off I-270 in Columbus untill they catch the freak trying to kill people. This morning on one of the morning news shows they said they arent calling this freak a snipper because they dont have any background on them, and they only call them snipers when they have a military background..*shrugs* I havent any idea if thats true..Have a good day :)
from hlm79 :
Thank-you thank-you :)
from peytonsplace :
Hmmmm, I would be suspicious too. ha ha ha
from cleanstart :
What a sweet hubby you have. If this is out of the ordinary for him, enjoy it while it last.LOL...
from dangerspouse :
The desire to lose 15 lbs. versus the desire to eat Hershey's Kisses arranged in a sappy sentiment. Which will win out? My money's on the foil wrapped devils. (BTW - go with a feathered Farah Fawcett cut. Guys love it. And it'll look appropriate while you're chugging cheap beer.)
from dangerspouse :
Did you really just call Sam Adams "crap"? Oh ye of little taste! Ah well, as long as you had fun, even if it was White Trash Budweiser fun. See ya at Penny's - wear something nice this time, willya?
from dangerspouse :
Hmmmm. You got blotto drunk and can't figure out how you got two pine needles in your hair...? Sounds like a smashing time, all in all. Hope your Mom's ok!
from mgottlieb :
It sounds like you had a great weekend!
from nixtress :
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
from peterkeating :
I didn't think there were any Blue Jackets fans outside of Columbus. If you ever visit and need tickets, let me know! :)
from cleanstart :
Yeah, I've heard many of "the biggest deer ever" stories of the one(s) that got away. TOO funny!!
from hlm79 :
Those are some funny pictures! You guys all look drunk as shit... ;)
from judybean :
11/20: You are still hot and your son is too adorable! But you already knew that didn't you!
from peytonsplace :
Aww, that is just absolutely precious!
from mgottlieb :
12 drinks would be heavenly :) I'm doing ok, however, the doctor assures me that the cells are probably just PRE-cancerous. Isn't that ever so much better? lol
from dangerspouse :
And call me if you ever have a tickle in your throat.
from dangerspouse :
Ok, you're forgiven for drinking gallons of unworthy beer, but only because your kid's so cute. Great pic! (You slept with the teacher! You slept with the teacher! Nyah nyah!!)
from pashiesplace :
Don't ya love those types of age-related reality checks? LOL. LOVE Mason as Elmo! (((Hugs)))
from nascarwidow :
Okay, you made me snort and almost choke on my tea. It IS funny and I'm not inebriated. I cannot even imagine that happening but what a rude awakening it must have been. BTW, thanks for the note and read away!
from cmkern3 :
OMG I laughed and laughed at your entry about your hubby going of hunting. He totally would've bitched and moaned had you asked him to pick your daughter up. You're not alone there - 99% of men would've done the same thing. (Actually come to think of it, I probably would too...heehee)
from peytonsplace :
Ahhh, we had the same creepy crawly! I, for one, thought it was hilarious you had slept with their teacher! People I graduated with are teaching at my school too, so don't feel so alone!
from dangerspouse :
I missed you too! Um...what was your name again? Anyway, hope you're up and about again soon - I've missed your stuff! :)
from jamsjunction :
Aww I missed you!! Sorry to hear you've been sick, and that it wasnt that you were just playing hooky from work. Hope you are feeling better!
from peytonsplace :
Hope you had fun at the concert! Strange, I had back pains last week too, hence, missing two days from work.
from poorlady :
Well, since guestbook won't let me sign more than once in an hour (or some dumb thing like that) I'm writing you here. HELLOOOO...just wanted to say hi!! I am feeling better and thanks for the note. See u soon. Erica
from cleanstart :
I've got a hunting clip for your husband... what's your e-mail address? You will get a kick out of it too.
from cmkern3 :
Hey there! Thanks for leaving a GB note! And for the compliment on my writing! So sweet! (Could I have one more exclamation point in this note?) My family actually lives in southeastern Wisconsin in Kenosha County. (I lived there too for a few years..) Now I'm in Illinois, but literally like 10 minutes from the WI/IL border. I've been thinking about trekking up to Green Bay to pay a visit to Weetabix and the infamous Bad Bar sometime!! We'll have to coordinate!!! (Ah, more exclamations!)
from dnyl22 :
Damn guestbook wouldn't work. I don't know why I bother w/ them sometimes!! Anyways... I can't believe how much Brandon and Morgan are alike!! He too will erase something over and over till its just right and he's not one to answer or even ask questions. He's doing really good this year. Here they don't get grades till next year, right now they get Above, At or Below and he got Aboves in everything except handwriting, which he got At. Our conference is friday! Take care :)
from dangerspouse :
God, look at that! Two bottles of Champagne and suddenly I can't spell. Sorry about the previous note. E-mail me if you want a translation. *hic!*
from dangerspouse :
Hey Baby, just because I'm big and famous now doesn't mean I'll forget all you Little People. Besides, all the people who come visit me courtesy of UB are just gonna sneer and click elsewhere after the third paragraph. So I'll be right back here, baby, trading beer barbs with my favorite packers fan. Where I belone. But in the meantime, you must excuse me, There's a new batch of groupies punding on my door. ......maybe I should let them out....
from judybean :
11/11: Damn those Packers indeed. Have I ever mentioned before that Madeline loves the Packers? It's hilarious really because I'm not sure where she got it (her uncle Tim is a Packers fan, but he's off at the seminary so he hasn't indoctrinated her yet), but she'll grab the remote if the tv's not on and ask to watch "footballgame" (it comes out as one word). Then she'll say "Go Packers!" It's funny because I have no clue where she got it, but she loves those Packers!
from cassiopeia- :
Thank you for having the Amber Alert ticker, it means so much and is very important. It breaks my heart that it is used so much. Sandy
from peytonsplace :
Hey, I was watching part of the game last night and thought of you. Damn, it's COLD there!
from dangerspouse :
You know, Boone's Farm is the PERFECT match for that candy necklace. Bravo! (I'm sorry now that I teased you about drinking crappy beer....)
from wllybere :
"I'll drink beer and blow smoke in their faces" Hee hee!! I certainly have missed reading you guys every day! I'm sorry you can't get off work in Dec, but we will *definately* have to plan a time when we can all get together early next year. Thanks for not forgetting me during my "month of doom and gloom". Talk to you soon!
from dangerspouse :
Hey, Nicky-d be dissin on my beautiful New Jersey! What's wrong with armpits, anyway? Where would we be without them? I'm glad NJ takes up that important role! Oh - and give your kid a beer next time. zzzzzzzzz...... :)
from nixtress :
Hi there :) I wandered in on a link from someone else's diary and just wanted to say hi. I've been reading bits and pieces and I'll be back.
from judybean :
11/7: Your daughter is, of course, absolutely gorgeous (just like her mama!). Dude... husbands are totally ridiculous sometimes. Often I seriously wonder what the heck I keep mine around for (except last night, when he went out a 11:30 p.m. because we were out of Tums). So, maybe they serve a purpose. Sometimes. Hope your head cold gets better.. I think I'm almost over mine *knockonwood* and get that damn banker guy to speed up things!!
from nicky-d :
As a New Yorker, I believe your dream assessment of NJ was right on the mark. NJ, afterall, is referred to as the "armpit of America." ;) Congrats on the van, by the way. And your daughter is quite an angelic doll! :)
from hlm79 :
She's such a pretty girl. :)
from peytonsplace :
That is damn cold! I know I've mentioned this before, but, you can always move to Florida! hee
from dangerspouse :
Congrats on the new van!! If you have any money left over, buy some wooly leggings. (Or just stop shaving, if you're Italian).
from mllerouge :
Mind, are you KIDDING? I'm such an attention hog .... LOL - Have you got to the entries where I beg people to put me on their buddy list because my goal is a gazillion linkers? I've been really busy, so I havn't been updating much lately - but you're welcome to stop by anytime!
from dnyl22 :
I attempted to sign your guestbook but it wouldn't let me (I'm sure its my sh*tty computer!). Anyway, congrats on getting your new van!! :)
from dangerspouse :
Oh man, we guys just suck! On the other hand, it's probably the nicest bathroom floor on the block. Sorry you had to go through all that....
from mgottlieb :
Sorry your weekend sucked, hon. On the other hand, it sounds like Mason has totally gotten the hang of the potty training! Way to go, Mason!
from pashiesplace :
Thank you so much for the email. It's really comforting to know that I'm not the beast of a mom that some seem to have tried to say. It meant a lot. (((Hugs)))
from dangerspouse :
AAAUUGHHH!! Bud Light strikes again! Will there be no end to its relentless march, which threatens to kill the tastebuds of good, semi-honest Americans forevermore? LOL...oh well, as long as you had a good time. God only knows what swill they'll be drinking at my upcoming accordian fest - and yes, I'll drink it. And smile towards Wisconsin when I do :)
from dangerspouse :
Between slinging the "C" word around and screwing skanky whores, it's a wonder we men are able to find wives at all. Why DO you keep granting us your consort? On behalf of all of us, you have my sincere apologies. Now...where'd that skanky whore get to....
from peytonsplace :
I agree, the C word is just unacceptable. Not even in the same hemisphere with jerk. Men! They just don't think.
from mgottlieb :
I hear ya, girlfriend. It's even more puzzling when they screw some skanky whore and then expect you to just forget it and still sleep with them. Silly men.
from swirlgirl815 :
Only women can throw the Cunt word around, and even then you'd better be sure that your intended party is OK with it. It's like black people being able to use the N word, it's reclaiming it for sisterhood. Just my thoughts, keep up the journal work :) Hang in there with the Man!
from dangerspouse :
Thanks for leaving such a nice note for me about my layout. I wish I could take credit for it! I hope things work out with the van. The Dodge and Chrysler have the same engine, and pretty much the same layout. Just some cosmetic differences. You should be happy with either one - they are both proven, reliable platforms. Hang in there!!
from peytonsplace :
I'm sure once the van saga is over you will calm down a bit. It's been a big rollercoaster!
from cleanstart :
I hope you end up with the one you REALLY want!
from peytonsplace :
That actually sounds kinda fun, but of course it would since it's not happening to me. Hopefully, this will all be over soon!
from dangerspouse :
It wasn't boring - it's the chronicle of your life. Some days there just ain't much happening. But you write so well it's still interesting to read. ('Course, you could always lie and MAKE it exciting. Not that I'd stoop to that myself. I'm just saying...)
from liquid-mojo :
Mmmmmmmm.... Krispy Kremes.... *drool* *Ahem* Anyway, yeah life sucks but I imagine myself eventually snapping out of it. Thank you for your words of wisdom and your birthday well-wishing... :)
from jamsjunction :
No fair! That stinks! I have to drive over a hours for a KK donut! Can you ship me some? Hope you have a nice weekend
from mgottlieb :
I took the quiz and I totally sucked! In my defense, my dog ate my homework and my mom came home drunk again so I didn't have a chance to study. Really.
from hlm79 :
damn I'm good! :-P
from hlm79 :
I saw that cheater! :-P Good job! I'm going to go retake yours, because I swear I don't even remember that question about when you had Morgan, hmm..
from hlm79 :
Wait, I know! Go take the quiz again, and I'll erase the first one you took, that way the correct score will show up. (okay, well, i guess you don't have to, but if you want... lol)
from dangerspouse :
Ooo! Oooo! Now THIS is the kind of day that justifies drinking to excess! And a PERFECT EXCUSE TO TRY REAL BEER!!! You're right - I'm waaaay excited about keeping up with your imbibing habits. Please please please do it, and let me know how long you managed to keep it down. (Oh, and...see if you can find out if she IS a lesbian. Not that I would find that titillating or anything...he he...I said titillating...)
from jamsjunction :
Bas days just suck! I hope yours gets better from here! :)
from dangerspouse :
The beautiful model had a brain? Man, that MUST have been Lifetime Network. What other propaganda do they spew out, I wonder....
from mgottlieb :
Thanks! It's good to be home! I was having Diaryland withdrawls by day two of the trip!
from peytonsplace :
Can I use that number to track you down?
from pashiesplace :
Holy crap 7 kids! Yikes. Good for you holding your ground with the jerk. I'm sorry, pompous jerk!
from swirlgirl815 :
Even if that jerk offers you $6500 for your car, don't sell it to him just on the principle of it. Show him how wrong he is when he thinks women are pushovers who don't know any better when it comes to cars/big toys/household maintenance/sports/[insert cliche here]. Damn, that steams my broccoli!
from dangerspouse :
MAN that was a long entry. Now I don't feel so bad about my own little opus. Of course, the difference is that YOUR entry was entertaining. Except for the Bud Light part. Ewww. Have some class, woman. And some REAL beer.
from pashiesplace :
Hope you have a great time tonite! You deserve some fun!
from cleanstart :
Sorry that you are having a stressful day. HUGS~
from jamsjunction :
What a beautiful new neice you have there! I love her hair, she looks as though she was trying to smile in the picture. Hope your week gets better. The Packers loosing just screws up everything huh!
from dangerspouse :
So glad to hear the little baby is hanging in there. Thanks for the update - I've been thinking about her the past few days. (But...I'm sorry to have to tell you that my wifey is from Kansas City MO, and has been doing nothing but victory dances all season. Not to rub your face in it or anything. I mean, I'm sure your Packers all have very nice personalities. Which must be some consolation when you're in the "L" column...) :)
from toriadenise :
Just wanted to let you know that my thoughts are with you! Hope everything is going ok! Have a great day!
from cleanstart :
Oh girl! I absolutely HATE spiders too! Spiders and Snakes..UGH... I hope he escaped outside somewhere from the psycho lady in bed, lol. Good Luck at the wedding tomorrow. *lip pouched out* I wish I could sing!
from nicky-d :
Heh, you sound like me with the fear of spiders thing. (I hope it was at least smaller than the one I posted a picture of in my diary. And that sucker was outside; I would have died if it was inside!) I would have been up all night feeling like spiders were crawling all over me, too. Ugh. Glad everything seems to be going well with your new niece. Congrats on being an aunt again! Hope you feel better in time to sing for the wedding, too. :) (Guestbooks are being annoying again, so sorry if this message appears there as well.)
from dangerspouse :
Hi N! Hey, thanks for adding me to your buddy list! I hope you don't mind if I do the same for you; I've read a bunch of your entries and you're a helluva writer. (If you do mind...tough.) It'll be a pleasure checking back here regularly. Oh, and best wishes for Meghan Elise. Tough way to start the journey - hope she doesn't suffer any ill efects. Tom :)
from groupie94 :
not that it compares to what your neice went through, I just wanted to tell you that when Spencer was born he didn't breath on his own right away, He was almost a grey color and the doctors rushed him to NICU, He spent the night with a tiny little IV and stuff but then the next day he was out of NICU and with me... Look at him now he's perfect ( although I am a little biased being the mom *smile*)
from me-undaunted :
i'm glad meghan is okay :o) ::hugs::
from pashiesplace :
ohmygosh. I;m so glad she is breathing on her own. What a terrifying start for a little one. Hugs and prayers.
from cleanstart :
Praises to the Lord!
from judybean :
10/9: Thanks for the update note! And prayers with your brother and his family and also for you. It's hard worrying and being unable to do anything about it. Plus? You're one hot mama!! (yesterday's picture!!)
from nicky-d :
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Nicole. I have complete faith that everything will turn out great. *hugs* (Sorry of this message shows up in your guestbook. Signmyguestbook.com is being retarded again and I got an error message when I tried to sign it, so I don't know if it went through.)
from cleanstart :
Your family is in my prayers! I hope mom and baby girl both recover soon. There's nothing like feeling hopeless in a situation like this. My heart goes out to your brother as well. Big hugs to all of you guys!
from pashiesplace :
So Nicole is a hottie huh? LOL. Good luck to your SIL. I think knowing your baby's birthday is incredibly nervewracking. Haven't seen the new Reese's but I'll have to get over the weirdness and try them.
from jamsjunction :
Woo Your so pretty! I agree, those inside out reeses, are just gross. Its the texture thing that I dont like. I prefer my creamy pb. Hope you feel better soon!
from jamsjunction :
ROFL, I may be childless, but I do however understand how HUGE it is when your baby poops on the potty! Years of babysitting for friends, whos kids werent potty trained! WTG MASON!! Hope he keeps it up, or down, in the potty that is!
from pashiesplace :
Oh yay! Pooping on the potty is so wonderful. I also love hockey, btw.
from pashiesplace :
Nothing worse than being stuck in the middle while liking both people involved. LOL at promising to poop. Hope he keeps his promise better than Maya :P
from judybean :
10/1: I think your e-mail was perfect. Absolutely perfect. There are always two sides and two people in something like that.
from jadedlife :
I just edited my buddylist to include you. I just read over a few entries and I enjoyed them all. I found you through Karen. And your little guy is adorable in that big red car :) I bet the black and white (with the car red) will look wonderful. :)
from cleanstart :
E-mail me real fast and I'll tell you. I will be at work for another 15 minutes. [email protected]
from la-blue-eyez :
Nicole, Mason is adorable! What great pictures those are!
from swirlgirl815 :
Thanks for your note :) Live the single life vicariously all you want through me~~though it sounds more fun that it usually winds up being :) Hang in there with the cold weather, we've got it too in Western WI.
from hlm79 :
I'll say it again. Damn that's a cute little boy. :) I know this is shameful, but I have never had a professional picture of Tara taken. I really, really need to do that. Maybe that could be a good idea for Christmas gifts, hmm.
from jamsjunction :
What a handsome little man you have! He is just adorable!
from me-undaunted :
awww, he's so handsome! you must be a proud mama :o) and btw....BOO RUPERT!
from pashiesplace :
Oh is he cute!!! Can't wait to see the others!
from jamsjunction :
I should have read all the entries I was behind on before adding my notes lol sorry to fill up your note box. I agree, Bob does indeed rock. I am liking this season. Bob is a REAL guy, he isnt rich, he didnt come from money, he is divorced, and he is looking for love. I know who I want him to pick already, but cant remember her name, and I'm to lazy to look it up. This season, it also appears that there is some sort of tragic event? Noticing from the previews anyhow. I say, get the Mommy-mobile, and the Harley. Hell if your going to go into debt, do it LMAO I know, I'm not good at advice on cars am I. Hope you have a nice weekend!
from jamsjunction :
OMG..snow.ALREADY? No, that means winter is just around the cold corner. I so know what you mean. Although living in what is referred to as the midwest (IN), we do see our fair share of snow, but I can't recall EVER getting snow in OCTOBER! Thats just not right. Snow belongs in the month of December ONLY! The rest of the year, I would be perfectly content with fall like temps! Better grab those gloves, and winter boots!
from pashiesplace :
I know. He just struck me as someone that was very comfortable doing things his way. I loved alot of his stuff.
from peytonsplace :
Husbands are the reason there are lesbians.
from judybean :
9/25: HUSBANDS!! Ugh! I *hate* when Mike forgets that any sort of disagreement ever happened just 10 minutes before and just goes on about his day like nothing happened. In fact, that just happened the night before last.. it was terrible and he never said another thing about it and went to sleep. Grr! You would be a bad soccer-Harley-momma!!
from pashiesplace :
Ah, husbands. Isn't it something how they all possess so many of the same qualities?
from toriadenise :
I love the notes you leave me in my guestbook!! It's nice to know that there is somebody who reads my entries...lol And I say you go get that van...:) Nothing wrong with having the appearance of a 'soccer mom!'
from judybean :
9/24: Ah, bowel and urinary problems are just great to read about ;)! ... Oh, and the van? Ugh. It's TERRIBLE. Only in the way that someday I know I'll have to resort to one also and recently I have begun to think of how PRACTICAL it would be. I think my worst nightmares are coming true! Practical! Good gas mileage! Soccer mom! But, it's alllll true. I know I'll get one eventually and I should probably suck it up. You too. And really? It could come in handy. Hauling around big stuff, lots of kids, etc. Because you know it will happen anyway.
from peytonsplace :
That's such a sweet song. I can't even imagine losing a child. What heartache!
from cleanstart :
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your kind words!! They DO help!
from hlm79 :
I was just thinking today too about how Brian and I are usually so different. Sometimes I wonder just exactly how we work. And tell Aaric staying home IS work! Believe it or not, I don't sit here all day watching tv and eating bon bons. In fact I venture to say it's one of the most unappreciated jobs out there.
from la-blue-eyez :
I've never heard that song, but wow! Just reading the words brought tears to my eyes.
from jamsjunction :
WOW, I've not heard that song before, but you just made me cry! Hope your day is going well!
from jamsjunction :
I missed Survivor last night:( Aveda is the only professional product that I havent tried. Sounds spendy though, since you dropped almost $70 in there for a hair cut. Thank god for GC huh! I hope you have a great time at your reunion! I didn't go to mine this past June, and I am ohh so NOT regretting it either!
from pashiesplace :
I saw Primetime last night! I loved that. "Well, I blow out my own hair now." "And that's hard for you?" UGH! Good luck at the reunion. Have fun!
from me-undaunted :
OMG! I'm too excited about Survivor tomorrow! How nice to have a fellow Survivor addict. :o) Oh yeah, if you're doing the Tooth Fairy thing make sure you hide those teeth! I accidentally left my son's tooth out once. See, I had taken it out from under his pillow, left his money, and went to pee. I left it on the bathroom sink, and he woke up and saw it there and quickly figured out that I must have left that money. Gah!
from jamsjunction :
HAHAHAHAHA Your going to be potty training another child! Poor you! You better hope your neighbor isnt being serious!
from jamsjunction :
I am making the best of the next 14 days I have with the hubbster, before I become a hunters widow for the rest of this year, and 2 months of next. If I'm lucky, I might actually get to spend about a 20 days between now and febuary with the hubbster. Last year he got 2 bucks, and 1 doe, which resulted in about 400lbs of deer meat in our freezer. We are down to about 75lbs now. We gave alot of it away, and had one deer processed into jerky, and summer sausage ect..That made for nice gift baskets last christmas.
from hlm79 :
I meant to get back to you yesterday. I remember that story about Morgan. Oh, god, I can't even imagine the horror you must have felt... But yeah, I still can't believe how quick Tara got away. At least I heard her... - Hey, good luck on your boy with the potty! Hope it's for real!
from jamsjunction :
Ohh Lord, Hairy assed men, first beer by 10am and the packers winning..that was some weekend you had! WTG on Mason peeing in the potty...Hope your feeling better today even if it Monday!
from groupie94 :
I was thinking of you Yesterday when Ryan and I started watching the pre-game... Glad you had a good time !!!
from toriadenise :
Just wanted to let you know that I just started reading your diary. You are such an awesome chick!!!
from jamsjunction :
Poor you! Get well soon! Enjoy that game, I am SOOOOO Jealous! I would LOVE to go to a Packers game..Go Cheese Heads!!!!!!
from pashiesplace :
Aww feel better!
from me-undaunted :
you know, you look VERY familiar. i think you used to have a different layout, though, right? anyway, i love your diary and i love your layout! i'm a reality show addict too, though i never really got into paradise hotel. i'm anxious for survivor to start up again, i even have my calendar marked! :o)
from judybean :
9/11: Have a great day at home!
from judybean :
I'd totally give birth 30 times than go to the dentist. Really. Not even joking. And CCD classes? Since I never got to take them I'm a bit jealous (now at least, though if I'd taken them, maybe not so much)!
from jamsjunction :
Thank You for your kind words the other day. I really appreciate them. Masons daycare sounds like a great one! I hope he enjoyed his day, and wants to go back on Thursday!
from pashiesplace :
What an awesome daycare you've got!
from dnyl22 :
Thanks for the note! ;) We used to just get a card and a phone call and I was happy with just that.
from poorlady :
I second the men barf comment. And I up it to an ewww gross go away and take a shower you dirty pig!! Do I sound bitter? Thanks for the email the other day. Have a good weekend.
from jamsjunction :
I hope you have a good weekend! You certainly sound like you need a break, and maybe your hubby to!
from mgottlieb :
Men. Barf.
from jamsjunction :
You describing your mom trying to turn off her computer was hillarious. My mom is the SAME exact way. She still calls the CD-ROM a damn drink holder. Although my mom has a computer at work and such, she still calls me at home to ask me how to get to a webpage, even if I've showed her 9 millions times how to search for something, or just type in the URL
from hlm79 :
She ended finally going to sleep just before 6:30. Ugh. It sucked. I was up for three hours. I'm sure I'll be complaining in great detail about it today, heheh.
from peytonsplace :
I think you are pretty amazing already!
from judybean :
Did you know that I got 96 messages saying somebody added a comment to one of my entries and ALL NINETY-SIX of them were from you? The same message? NINETY-SIX times???
from mgottlieb :
Thanks for the Paradise Hotel recap! Am I alone in thinking that Amy and Zack totally deserve each other? LOL! Can't wait to see tonight's episode!
from mgottlieb :
I missed Paradise Hotel last night because we had the party! You'll have to fill me in on what I missed for, I too, am addicted!
from pashiesplace :
Finally! I've been meaning to leave you a note for 2 days now! TY for your note! 3 kids? Honestly you just learn to juggle them. It takes time but thank God you eventually adjust. I also loved Beyonce' the other night. Awesome performance.
from judybean :
8/28 I could relate so much to that entry though no drivers from NY for me, but the feelings and everything. Especially being pissed if it was reversed. I don't think less of you. I think more. Good for you. Keep up the good work... and get that knee healed!!
from judybean :
I LIVE for Taco Tuesday!! Or at least all too often! ... Yikes and eww about the knee (how's that for sympathy?) I sure hope it gets better!!
from hlm79 :
I am thinking a lot about the counseling thing. I'm going to check with my insurance at some point to see just what exactly they cover. I think it probably really would do me some good to get some things off my chest, maybe have someone who really wants to listen and can help me put things in perspective. But otherwise, thanks for your words of support and advice, I really do appreciate it.
from judybean :
Rascal Flatts? I'm so jealous! Have a great time cleaning (sarcasm included) and have a fabulous weekend! (p.s. I totally meant to e-mail you back but spaced it somewhere? who knows... maybe monday!)
from dnyl22 :
Thanks for the note. My oldest son's biological father lives in Columbus!
from hlm79 :
(I'm going to kill the guestbook) Thanks for the support Nicole, I definitely need it right now. I agree with everything you said. Last night we had another heavy, marathon talk but this time I think we actually made progress. So I'll be updating about that sometime today. And I've definitely been thinking a lot about finding some kind of activity for myself, be it work, or a class or something. I have to have something for myself. Thanks again for all your thoughts.
from jamsjunction :
Happy 3rd Birthday to your little boy! I've never been to a Chuck E Cheese in my entire 28 yrs of life..I must be sheltered lol
from dnyl22 :
What part of ohio does your brother live in. Just curious, I'm from ohio also.
from wllybere :
Woo hoo!!!! She's back! Hee... and already falling down the stairs. I'm sorry, but that's just funny to me. *giggle* (Hello, Karma! Kick my ass!)
from hlm79 :
Ouch! I hope you haven't seriously hurt it.
from judybean :
ACK!! Glad you're back, but.. did you *really* have to make such an entrance back at work??! (yes, terrible humor that's probably not funny at all, but I couldn't resist). Hope all is well with the knee!
from mgottlieb :
I'm so glad you're back! Hope your time away was good! You'll have to read back at some of my older entries; Jana's hubby is definetely up to something. I don't know how to help her. It seems like my advice is harsh or uncaring and I don't mean for it to be. Any suggestions?
from jamsjunction :
I tried signing your guestbook several times, but it keeps telling me I cant sign it again that fast..I hope you have a great vacation! :)
from judybean :
I would TOTALLY let you know (via note, since it seems the most reliable!) what's going on!! So don't you worry, I won't leave you in the dark!
from judybean :
LUCKY DUCK. I am *soooooo* (insert a few more 'o's in there) jealous of you getting vacation. I think I'm up for it. Maybe I'll just take some soon? But... we looked at a house today and I so, so, so hope we get it!
from hlm79 :
Hey, I got your interview questions up now.
from hlm79 :
Boy the guestbook is pissing me off... Anyway, I got the answers posted up just to let you know but I'm still thinking on questions for ya.
from judybean :
WHAT A WEEKEND!!! Hooray for your new niece. Olivia Paige is a gorgeous name, by the way. .. Oh and Six Flags and downpours? The ONE TIME I've been to a Six Flags it resulted in a downpour like I've never seen before!
from peytonsplace :
I'm hoping there's a precious new baby to hold! :)
from judybean :
Kick back, forget about things and have a great weekend. Forget about stupid V and her non-secretiveness. At least you found out now and not after something you would never want out. Have a great time at Six Flags!
from judybean :
I *LOVE* noodles and butter! And? I hope your day gets better! and that there aren't any drowned rat issues! :)
from wllybere :
Hey Nicole! I had to lock my diary for a bit, but the username is wllybere and the password is guest
from dobe :
you are very beautiful. i would be so jealous to see a "good" picture of you. this one is making me want to go to the gym!
from judybean :
HOLY COW YOU ARE FREAKING GORGEOUS. Doh. That's where our twin-ness ends I suppose (I mean, from here on out). Oh my! And your daughter is just as gorgeous! I'm so glad to see pictures!
from la-blue-eyez :
YAY! I can imagine how excited you are about the baby! I'm like you and go nuts over shopping for babies!
from judybean :
By the time you read this, I sure hope you've gotten word on your pseudo-neice/nephew!! Smother that baby with love!! ... oh and really, just pretend I'm not a huge slacker and take my Happy Anniversary and pretend it was said to you when it was your REAL anniversary. Yikes. I'm *such* a slacker!!
from jamsjunction :
Happy belated Anniversary..Your post made me cry. Love is lifes most wonderful mystery.
from mgottlieb :
Hey you! You bet I check my guestbook! Currently you are the only one signing it! LOL. Anyway, enjoy your weekend and have a drink for me!!
from judybean :
I'm so excited for you and your upcoming weekend. It sounds like The Best time!! ... oh.. and husbands.. hate/love it when they're here, hate/love it when they're gone!
from mgottlieb :
Yay!! You're back! Sorry about your friend, I couldn't imagine being in an abusive relationship. It's good that he has you guys to lean on! And, try not to worry about Morgan's bed-wetting. Her body is probably growing faster than her bladder. It happens sometime. Hell, when I was pregnant with Brooke, I wet the bed one night. See? My body was growing and my bladder was still the size of a pea. LOL! Have a great 4th!
from mgottlieb :
It's good to be back! Can you believe that I spent my vacation planning how I would write about it? LOL!
from groupie94 :
another post from me so soon...? YES...I wanted to say I just read your profile and it is so hilarious that our profiles are almost completely the same... it blew my mind...not only that but we read some of the same diaries...eerie huh...???
from hlm79 :
(I think you're right, the guestbook must be down.) Awww, thanks. :) You should write about you & Aaric first getting together sometime (hey if nothing else, I know with me it makes me temporarily forget the little things that are pissing me off.).
from tommy212 :
Hey! I don't think the guestbook site is working right now, but if I sow up in there saying the exact same thing i'm saying right now, sorry:) My brother and his wife and son just moved to Trevor, WI, which is a podunk town on the southern border just west of Kenosha. He used to live in Milwaukee a few years back, so I've been to your state a few times. I actually want to get up there next weekend for Summerfest, but I don't think it's going to work out. take care!
from judybean :
the soy milk that I like (Chocolate Silk) is in the dairy section. I'm sure if it's here in this town of 5000 people, that it's bound to be in GB!! You probably just never looked before!!
from judybean :
Songs are so weird like that!! I totally understand though (with songs bringing up way more than you had ever thought they could) and wondering about where life would be... if only this... or that.. had happened. It's crazy!
from hlm79 :
Arrghh, I think signmyguestbook is down. Anyway, damn, I wish we had a cheap amusement park like that here. I would so be there. -- I did actually catch a little nap, while Tara was awake in fact. She actually played really nicely on the bed for awhile and let me nod out, so I am feeling slightly more alive now. ;)
from peytonsplace :
I'm so sorry about your dad. I hope they can find out what's wrong and it is fixable! I only have one photo from the jail, and I'll post it tomorrow. PS. I wanna ride the big slide too!
from mgottlieb :
Morgan's present was perfect! And you won't have to worry about it getting loose in the house and pooping in your shoes! And you're right. The important thing was that YOU GOT YOUR WAY! LOL! Hope your day at work will go by quickly and you can enjoy some of the sunshine!
from judybean :
What a weekend!! It sounds like EVERYBODY had a great time!! Hooray!! And the trampoline thing? Holy cow it's awesome!!
from mgottlieb :
Wow! We could be sharing a co-worker! Except, I don't actually consider mine a co-WORKER since she would have to, you know, WORK! LOL. I hope you all have a blast at Morgan's party and, as a kid who never got to have a hamster, I say...GO FOR IT!
from sunshine2385 :
I saw your guestbook entry and thought it was sweet that you took the time to read my diary. Yours is such a source of entertainment for me because you are so blunt and just fun to read. Given my latest experiences with this whole diary thing, I am beginning to think it's not a great idea. Oh well... I am sticking to my guns on this one and staying truer to me than anyone else. Thanks for constantly updating... XOXO Brit
from mgottlieb :
I'm doing the "Sunny Weather" dance for you! Let me know when it works!
from judybean :
I totally thought I e-mailed it to you. I'm a retard! It's not NEARLY as cool as the layouts you like, but... check this out: http://www.geocities.com/judybeano/nicole.html .. that should be it. It's quite bland compared to the ones you liked, but.. if you have suggestions... I'm totally open to them. p.s. I just picked yellow because before you said something about matching your existing guestbook!
from wllybere :
p.s. sorry about the spam... instead of viagra, next time I'll make it more relevant for you - like discount ciggys! ;-)
from judybean :
HOLY SHIT (excuse the language).. but really. I LOVE THAT SONG. AAANNNDDD.. feel the same way about it. I love it!!! TOOO weird!!
from judybean :
dude. my mosquito bites swell up too. TOOOOOO weird!!
from judybean :
ugh. I WANT FRIDAY!! (that was an appeal to the gods in hopes friday will magically appear RIGHT NOW. hm. didn't happen. oh well). You go and have a great time on your trip! Hooray for you!!
from judybean :
Talk about the one to always give in. I hear you all too well there. But... the card idea is great. Oh, and asking him to give just a bit more. We are so twins. Because really, sure husbands work hard (blah, blah, blah) but isn't home life important too? Aren't the wives (who really run the show) worthy of just a little bit extra effort? Yeah, I try that on Mike all the time and obviously to no real avail. But, I keep on trying. Just in case, you know. Anyway... good luck!!
from peytonsplace :
And all I had to do was go through 24 hours of labor one year ago. ha ha
from katehackett :
:OP I really love your diary. It's quite entertaining. Just thought I'd say hi.
from judybean :
LUCK LUCK LUCK!! All for you. Yikes, the interview process DOES sound hellish! Down a drink for me!
from judybean :
See... I knew you'd be a bit bummed with the negative results!
from judybean :
I must be a glutton for punishment with the whole UPS thing. Gee whiz. I'm just hoping I don't have to wait three damn weeks for my very favorite lotion stuff!!
from dazeyduke2 :
LMAOOOOOOOOO are we married to the same man?! J/K! Though they may be twins separated at birth! The dishes thing blows my mind, too...yep our sink is right by the dishwasher, too...lol Maybe we can send them off fishing and do lunch! lol
from dazeyduke2 :
Thank you so much for the kind words :) I am trying not to stress and it's good to hear the surgery is quick and helpful to the kidlets...I worry too much though...lol Trucking company, huh? I have many relatives that do that for a living and to be home every day and no weekends is a blessing! I love reading your entries. :)
from dazeyduke2 :
Heya nmnohr! Thanks for leaving a note in my diary :) We have tons in common - I have 2 sisters like yours..lol We are all polar opposites. If ya don't mind I am going to add you to my faves...take care! Brandy
