Awww...so sorry to hear about the rut. What happened, is this totally out of the blue? I hope he's just having a silly boy moment.
from blazingstar :
Haha yeah...the girl didn't even explain the volcano thing right away, she was just like "Uhh there was a volcano, I'll explain when I see you". Haha. Dude I definitely would have tried to run over that old lady. I really think people should be FORCED to stop driving at a certain age...like...sixty.
from blazingstar :
Thanks, I'm feeling better now...working on getting rid of the jealousy. I'm sorry about the kitten...I really want a kitten someday too and Paddles thinks he's getting allergic, so I totally sympathize.
from blazingstar :
The same facebook photo thing happened to me with pictures of Paddles. Someone who tagged Travis in a couple photos probably has their photo settings set to friends only. Like Paddles' friend Katie has her albums set to friends-only, so even though everyone at their school can see her profile, they can't see her photos unless they're friends with her. So it kept telling me there were 26 photos of P, but only 24 would show up. But I totally have the neurotic girlfriend syndrome too, and facebook does NOT help. One time this girl wrote on P's wall, but I didn't know about it because somehow you can even make THAT private! I noticed it once when Paddles was showing me something on his profile, but I can't see it from my account. So of course I was like "who is this girl, why can't I see what she's writing, grrrrr", but it was totally meaningless. Ok, done rambling.
from blazingstar :
I didn't update much over spring break, but I've updated the past couple nights. Now that I'm back at school I'll be procrastinating online a lot more...Glad to hear everything's ok!
from blazingstar :
What happened?! I hope everything's okay!
from blazingstar :
I'm starting an advice diary! Wahoooooo
from blazingstar :
We're in the middle of our first real snowfall, which reminds me that summer won't come for a really long time. Sigh. Sorry about the fights...but hey, without fights, there would BE no make up sex!
from augustdreams :
Hello! Hope you have a great time on your New Year's trip. I'm still alive and sorry to have been incommunicado on d*land for so long. I did actually update today. Had to blow the dust off my diary and chase out a recalcitrant Spider or two first. :) *HUGS*
from blazingstar :
You have been emailed! Come in, come in!
from blazingstar :
Ha, good call about Risk. My brother's strategy is always to start with Australia (which is Paddles' and my second-choice destination, incidentally). Good luck with finals!
from blazingstar :
Awwwww very cute!
from blazingstar :
Oooh I love the dress! I WILL BE (home) IN NYC THIS WEEKEND TOO!!! AAAAH!
from blazingstar :
Thanks...I've clarified a bit now in my new entry now that I understand what's going on a little better...not that I'm any closer to figuring out what's going to happen to us. Sigh. But thanks for your support. And you should put up pictures of the dress!
from blazingstar :
I know! Common courtesy! Today his phone is OFF, probably because he has been at the library for days and it finally ran out of batteries, so now I'm going to be forced to stoop to the "where is my common courtesy EMAIL" rant. Haha. I definitely appreciate your brutal honesty toward Travis about having fun at the party. We gotta keep 'em in their place, you know?
from blazingstar :
Why thank you! I really enjoying reading yours too. At least my stalker usually stays a respectful distance away. Sounds like you've had it worse.
from kungfukitten :
Came in on your 6 pack banner too! Just wanted to say "Hi!" and I am amazed at your German marathons. I think I can count to five and say it's windy outside.
from banefulvenus :
like your six pack banner!
from gardenqueen :
Absolutely the right words at absolutely the right time. This, I get.
from cdghost :
you are welcome
from cdghost :
liked your lay out and words.
from augustdreams :
You're in Berlin! Have a great time, sweetie. Drop me an email when you get home and share your adventures. :)
from stevefrese :

from candoor :
music is soul food :)
from tagamii :
Luckily, with my parents, there's nowhere to go but up...
from kimmie4ever :
Just passing through diaries and yours happened to be one :)
from tagamii :
Pic's are up if you haven't seen them my dear...
from counthere :
You are definitely blessed to not having anyone close to you die. But, it is a statistical inevitability...Death will find its way to your doorstep. I looked up Kristen Troxel, and her death is certainly tragic. I certainly wonder why God (or whatever you believe in) makes things happen the way they do. For example, if Kristen had left simple 5 minutes later or 5 minutes before, she'd still be here. So, what does it all mean? Or maybe it means nothing at all. Ahhhh, the mysteries of life and death. For me, the most painful death was the loss of my best friend. He was only 24 and died of a sudden massive heart attack. I was depressed about it for several years. It was the hardest things I had to face, and I hope you never have to. I have certainly had family members die, but they have been the elderly part of the family, so even though it was sad, they left after living a long life so who can complain about that? Anyway, I would only suggest to not take for granted that those around you will always be around you. Pick up the phone and say hello to that loved one you haven't talked to in a while. Take your mom out to lunch. Send your Aunt a hello note. And little things like that. That's what I try to do. In fact, my 80+ year-old Aunt Doris is going to come visit us (with a family friend who will drive her) next week. I am so excited! No regrets...
from tormentsoul :
Christine! I haven't talked to you in ages! It's funny how you compare me to your one friend though. "Eeyore complex" I suppose is another form of the closeted gay guy that occurs in an overbearingly conservative area. But anyway, I'm doing better of sorts. How're you? I can't believe you broke up with your boyfriend! But these things happen. Anyway, I'm up really late, so just IM me anytime! I'll ttyl! Can't wait, Josh.
from counthere :
Hey, thanks for stopping by and saying hi. Yes, Ben is absolutely GORGEOUS! Ha! And yeah...he can sing too! Go figure... Bye for now.
from tagamii :
hope you enjoy! thanx...
from stevefrese :
hey christine! from what i know, students in Koln from LVC and Allegheny are in the same program, and i know all the kids going this year. You'll have a really good time with them, i should go this fall with you, but it just doenst work, globe trotting with you would be so much fun! --steve
from dumbmonkey :
hey, check your email
from dumbmonkey :
SWEET JESUS, WOMAN! I just finished watching my Pride and Prejudice dvd that I got for Christmas...You've read the book, right? Oh man, you'll love the movie. All I have is one name to state: Colin Firth. We need to watch it before or during spring break, and I think it needs to be one of the first movies we watch. If you want to watch it before, I have no problem skipping my math class! ;D
from dumbmonkey :
*sings* Theeee....Phantomoftheoperais deaaaaaaad....
from dumbmonkey :
joooooj...christine, my dear...THIS WEEK: YOU. ME. ONE GALLON OF ICE CREAM. we need to talk. seriously. i will call you at some point....
from stevefrese :
Christine, i've never thought you were mediocre :-)
from dumbmonkey :
i want to see ocean's twelve like it's NOBODY's business..so i'm really glad to hear it was good...
from stevefrese :
Here's a good pic of you and dwight christine, enjoy :-) http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/stevefrese/detail?.dir=4435&.dnm=5896.jpg&.src=ph
from dumbmonkey :
HAHAHA! Benihana...goood one christine! i like how you can embrace your heritage. i think i'm done with shopping (thankfully, because there's sooo much school work to do, i just realized this WHILE shopping). my favorite gift is for dan...its tim burton's "the melancholy death of oyster boy & other stories". babble babble.... :D
from dumbmonkey :
wowwie wow wow wow...i've just been tooling around here in the world wide web, snooping around east high xanga sites and whatnot...i found some *old* east high people, even steve dickerman. i never realized how much he liked you. i also didn't realize he had enough brain cells left to use a computer. it's scary.
from dumbmonkey :
i'd get used to that feeling if i were you...morgan was always first pick. granted, bob and morgan are practically brothers (like jon and dwight) so it was to be expected, but i still felt sort of awkward when the three of us were together because morgan got alllll of bob's attention (atleast dwight doesn't do that to you). so i know how you feel about being wheel #3. :)
from dumbmonkey :
well aren't you just little miss martha stewart?! :D
from dumbmonkey :
talk about good cds...do you have a copy of "hopes and fears" by keane? if not, buy it. best investment EVER.
from dumbmonkey :
definately just go buy a jew cd....its a worthwile investment. and definately buy clarity, because its definately worth your money. and then buy a copy of the new cd, futures, for me. :D just kidding....yes, we will have to hang out or something. i drive past the subway a lot and i am always wondering who's working. i got a new sn, kaaaaatija, so if i im ya, thats me... :)
from dumbmonkey :
talk about listening to cds that are dusty from lack of use...i just busted out my jimmy eat world cd (clarity...definately the best album by jew) and am very happy i did so. don't worry about crying...everyone has to do it every once in awhile. luckily you cried over things that deserve crying over (marching band sounded mucho frustrating, and calc...i cry just reading it on your diary)...i mean, if you would have cried over something like your hair color or spilled milk, then i'd say "christine, you're being a little silly..." but i'd cry over those things. also, you fortunately have a nice shoulder to cry on. i SWEAR TO GOD i see dwight up at hacc, there's this guy who leaves the science building as i enter...he is definately what dwight is going to look like in 2 more years. the only way i know its NOT dwight is because this guy has a monstrous goatee, reminiscent of the darren walters billy goat...wow, this was incredibly long..sorry about that. :)
from dumbmonkey :
i don't have friends either, its okay. :)
from augustdreams :
Thank you, sweetie. People like Danielle are a waste of the oxygen they suck. I'm sure her perfect attendance record will be her crowning achievement in life. Whoop-de-shit. ;) Thank you for being a true friend.
from dumbmonkey :
Hey, my classes are going great..I hope yours are too.!!!!!!!!!!! Are you seeing anyone from East around campus? god knows I am...
from dumbmonkey :
sorry about the locked diary..its still locked...but your username is "christine" and your password is locked. I had to lock it because my sister googled her name and read an entry from 2 years ago where I said some mean stuff about her and her now husband, so I had to lock up. the moral of the story: don't write things you wouldn't want the person to read...DAMN YOU, GOOGLE! :) katie
from augustdreams :
Damn! It sent my note before I was done. *grumbles* Anyway, I'm feeling a little better so I'm going to catch up on all my favorites (like my lovely onewndrmuse) this afternoon. Lots of love from me and all the fuzzies.
from augustdreams :
Thank you so much. *hugs* I love you, too. :) Yeah, telling off EMW was great! I hate being unkind, but I hate when people like her mistake being a nice person for being an easy target even more. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me a note. :) I've got to catch up on all my favorite diarists. So I'll be back!
from augustdreams :
I love the Horrible series. Do you have any of the Horrible Science/Geography ones? Those books kick so much ass. I love Pythons, too. I really want a baby Burmese. Alas. That will have to wait until I have my own place down here as my mom is very snake-phobic. I'm forever herding tiny garden snakes out of her veggie garded. :) *Love and Hugs*
from augustdreams :
Thank you! I loved your note, and oddly enough I *did* dream about my Giant Anteater last night. Weird. I dreamt I smuggled her out of work and had her sleeping at the foot of my bed. My dream-self was thinking that my fire ant problems were over. My mind's an odd place. Love to you!
from augustdreams :
I love you, too! {{{Hug}}} :)
from stevefrese :
hey your pictures are all unhosted by angelfire, i have a place to host em for you if you would like :-)
from augustdreams :
Just wanted to drop by and send you love. :) I'm finally catching up on the entries I've missed. My immune system being it's usual, craptastic self, I've fallen behind. I swear my body thinks it's a germ farmer. Ah, yes. Got to tend that nice patch of strep throat. Oooh, look! This year's crop of flu is doing very well! *snerk* Okay. I'm off for some more reading. You know what? I need to buy "The Giving Tree" - I've never read it! I love Shel Silverstein's writing and sens of whimsy.
from stevefrese :
AH! THE GODS MUST BE CRAZY!! THAT WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES AS A LITTLE KID! who's the qirky nerd NOW? haha
from dumbmonkey :
I'd like to be able to follow my heart where its trying to go, but I know that Bob has been so good to me that its just not fair. But when I look at that angle closer, isn't it twice as unfair for me to stay with Bob, while liking someone else, and not be giving my whole self to him? No matter which way I work it, its not right. And I don't want to hurt this other person..I never want to be a cause of pain for him (or for Bob, either..but I guess thats inevitable). So yeah, someday....
from stevefrese :
Things will always work out Christine. You know it will.
from augustdreams :
I love your new layout! I want to hug the Giving Tree. :) Happy Valentine's Day, babe. *Hugs from me, Aph & Woodstock*
from one-way-mule :
oh, don't even worry about the report card issue. i did it last term, and Lord knows I'm going to do it again this term. However, mine truly are deplorable, so I assume it'll be mailed home anyway... at any rate, i hope you're doing well! much love, laurs
from augustdreams :
Thank you for the sweet message. :) Ah, the hidden report card. I used to change my grades. Are they still using the kind made of carbon paper, where they write the grades then tear the top part off and send the bottom to be signed by your parents? I used to save a tiny scrap of the top sheet, change my grades (writing thorugh that topsheet the only way to get the carbon paper to work) then have my mom sign, and later claim to have lost it. She'd write me a note saying she'd seen it and... voila! No grade-related groundings. Heh. Don't give it another thought, babe. No matter what the powers-that-be try and tell you, your grades in high school don't mean a damn thing when it comes to persuing whatever career you want. I got scholarships and grants for college with no problem. From about a D average in high school, I ended up having a 3.8 GPA in college. It's all in learning about something you're passionate about. :) Yikes! Sorry for the excessive rambling. Good luck with the ROTC! They'd be lucky to have you.
from one-way-mule :
thank you very much for the birthday wishes! yeah, but seventeen isnt so bad, now i can get into R rated movies legally. However, eighteen does sound appealing... well, anyway, it was good to hear from you. and i sympathize with you on the golden corral. much love...
from onecrazymojo :
thats very kind of you. i can only be left wondering what random bit of mine you read that you liked and even mor amazed that any of it struck your fancy. but its good it did nonetheless. thanks again. ciao
from onecrazymojo :
oh...and umm...sorry if its been awhile since you left that message. i rarely ever get any notes and so i rarely check them. yup.
from onecrazymojo :
well thank for the note and such. its nice to hear others like my silly words. it is too bad about the older page though...i got rid of it cause a ton of my pages got all corrupted or something....but if you want to try and sift through them, be my guest. just add '/older.html' to the end when checkin my page. youve been warned though. thanks again. cheers
from augustdreams :
I think love in real life has got it all over its fictional counterpart. Love in fiction is the perfect song to accompany a kiss, and a flash forward from a look between lovers to a good morning kiss. Life in real life is someone whose arms around you have more power than all the perfect moments in the world, and all those moments, the silly, sweaty and sublime, between that look and that good morning kiss... complete with morning breath. ;) Apologies for getting all philosophical in your notes. Thank you for the sweet note you left me. Aph's still doing really well tonight. She means a lot to me, that little bundle of fuzz.
from dumbmonkey :
welcome to the wonderful world of long-term boyfriend...get used to the cycle :)
from augustdreams :
Thank you for the sweet note you left me - that made my day. :) I love the lyric at the top of your layout. The Highlander soundtrack is one of my faves. Have a magical holiday and here's to a wonderful 2004. Aph and Woodstock send you fuzzy, holiday hugs. :)
from colorreviews :
Hi! Were a review committee, that has just started up. If you would like to check us out, please stop by and be sure to sign up for a free review. :)
from augustdreams :
You are a real writer, sweetie. We just don't all write in the same way. For me, writing is like breathing. I have a whole series of novels I write for myself alone. But for some, the muse comes when they're soul is overwhelmed. And that can make for some very powerful writing! Imagine if Edgar Allen Poe hadn't been so horrifed at the thought of things like premature burial or hearing a pounding heart beneath the floor boards! I'm sure when he felt content and happy, with no nagging fears, he didn't write. But imagine how much the world would have missed out on if he'd just burned his morbid thoughts! Or H.P. Lovecraft! If he hadn't felt so alone in this world, with thoughts that he surely felt others would find too strange and/or mobid to share, he'd never have been inspired to create protagonists like Charles Dexter Ward, or amazing creatures like Cthulhu! So keep writing, sweetie, and don't burn your recent words. The world would be missing out on quite a lot if you ever gave up! :) **hugs**
from augustdreams :
Yaaay! Thank you. I'll be sending out your Christmas card soon. I'm sorry your message got cut off. (Dang g*book!) I'm very glad we met, sweetie. And I'm proud to call you my friend. Happy Holidays! :) I'll include a Merry Aph picture in your card.
from augustdreams :
I'm sorry, sweetie. I wish I had more to offer than just words of comfort. I don't think they're behaving that way out of a lack of love for you, but that doesn't make it any less hurtful, or any less wrong. Is there anything I can do? I can offer whatever wisdom my 27 years have given me. Aside from not eating the yellow snow or tasting Play-Doh (no matter HOW much it looks like a real cookie!), I've learned that it's important to make time for the things that give you joy. Life will always go on no matter how much you're hurting, and the bad things will always force you to make time for them, so grab onto the *good* things every chance you get. That doesn't have to stop when you've got bills, job, etc., either. You can always make time for the things that make your heart sing. It's too bad that your parents haven't learned learned from your example, that those things *are* important. But I'll bet that's something you won't forget if and when you have children of your own. :) **hugs**
from augustdreams :
Woo-Hoo! Congratulations on finishing up your applications. :) You'll love college, and whichever school you choose will be happy to have you. I know you're a talented writer, and I'm sure you've got lots more talents up your sleeves as well. Don't feel alone, dog-wise. My old dog, Spike, once ate a toad! Not only was it gratuitously yucky, I felt so bad for the toad. Glad you had a happy Halloween, babe! **hugs** ~Nicole & Aph the Wonder Dog
from one-way-mule :
sorry its taken so long to get back to ya... thank you for your message, you brightened up my day immensely. dont worry to much about those SATs, and congrats on getting in that application :)
from augustdreams :
Holy Purple Space Monkeys, Batman! ;) That phrase really gives me a smile too. Aph and Woodstock send you fuzzy hugs. And some non-fuzzy hugs fro me.
from augustdreams :
I'm so happy for you, sweetie! It sounds like he appreciates the wonderful person that you are. I wish you endless happy weekends, and all the eye-opening joy the world has to offer. **hugs**
from bige1843 :
Looks like this Dane character is a keeper... See I told you that you would find your "Suzy"!!! Haha well I'm happy you're happy!
from bige1843 :
Don't worry about "your" football player. Like I said, if that is the reason why you can't date then he's just a douche bag. I love it how both of us meet people who take interest once we say "no more". Damn them all !!
from jjscrush :
hi, i collect diaries that start with the word 'one.' i will add you to my faves list and i implore you to join 'the-ones' diaryring. write me and let me know. thanks. love, jj
from augustdreams :
Aph and I sent yout an explanation/password to all of those we love. And you were most DEFINITELY on that list. Damn my cranky e-mail account! I'm sorry you didn't get it. I'm re-sending it right now! (It's coming from my seacucumber addy.) Woo-hoo! Top 10% of your class! Congratulations on that, sweetie. Hugs from me and the fuzzies.
from augustdreams :
Thanks for the nice notes! :) They mean a lot and always make me smile. Oh, man. I hope one day I can make my living as a novelist but I'm not quite sure I'd want JK's level of fame! Imagine half the world hanging on tenterhooks awaiting your next novel, though. There would be a certain ego-stroking delight in that! Love to ya from me and the fuzzy pets.
from bige1843 :
Cheer up kiddo ! The end of school is near, and soon you will be off to college away from all your CURRENT problems. No doubt in my mind that you are a.) a lot cooler than your friends b.) a LOT SMARTER than your friends c.) an all around better person than your friends. I wouldn't trade anyone else in the world for a cousin like you ^_^. We definitely have to hang out more over the summer...(just think it could be everyday if we both had our damn license... oh well) Peace out
from augustdreams :
Hello! The quote from "Labyrinth" on your profile is my favorite line from the movie. The only scene I can't stand is when she's at that Victorian-era costume ball thingy. For some reason, the clothes and masks form that era give me weird, unhappy vibes. (I know. I'm strange. Heh.) Oh! And I've still got some Zip discs with your name on them. I'm sorry I got your email too late. Are you going to be 'round these here parts again sometime soon? Or should I mail them? Hope you're having a great weekend! ~Nicole
from augustdreams :
Yay! My Zip discs have found a home. :) If you want to exchange snail mail I'll send them along to you ASAP. (Um...might be 2 weeks, which is when I get my first paycheck from the new job.) I'm so glad you can use them! Thanks for the note, too. You always make me smile.
from bige1843 :
Best Cousin/Friend in the world... Always there to listen to my crap, and give advice. I am your grasshopper. It's weird to think that we used to hate eachother when we were younger. Thanks for everything, always keep in touch. *Eric*
from flamandaf :
Nightmare before Christmas, Hook, and Deathtrap? Is it possible we were separated at birth? Thanks for the note; it brightened my day.
from augustdreams :
Thank you so much for the note. I went out and bought some Cherry Garcia, and had lunch out with a good friend, and I'm reading my funniest books and crying whenever I feel like it. With friends like you, I know I'll be okay. I'm sorry about your mom and dad acting so hastily. Grrr. Let's both make a New Year's resolution to allow our hearts to overrule our heads every now and then. Just because it's not a matter of life and death doesn't mean it's not okay to be sad/angry/upset. Love ya and thanks again, ~Nic
from augustdreams :
You've got such great taste in authors! :) I bought "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" for those unique illustrations. The colors just make you feel happy. Shel Silverstein, too! And which was the Madelaine L'Engle book where those kids are trapped overnight in the Museum? I read that probably 17 years ago and I've never forgotten it. :) Also, thank you so much for leaving me a note. Things will get better, and it's easier to get through sad times when you've got such great friends. Hugs, Nicole
from augustdreams :
I think we should be very frightened, indeed! I'm thinking about adding the fact that Michael Jackson has procreated to my list of proof of Ultimate Evil? Whaddaya think? You have new fans, btw. Aphrodite the Wonder Dog and I both enjoy your writing. Rock on! :) Take care, ~Nicole
