We saw Spamalot in Chicago at the Schubert Theatre and I can't rave about it enough. It is very very silly (exactly what we were expecting) and extremely entertaining. The songs were great and very funny. The entire cast were very talented and completely on their game that night. A new character has been added. She was only referred to in the movie, but has a pretty substantial role in the play. She is the Lady of the Lake and is played by Sara Ramirez. Remember THAT name. Not only is she drop-dead gorgeous, but what a voice! I can't wait to hear what YOU think of it.

Stef, that is the exact same injury that our son, David, had. He has had 5 surgeries on the knee and it STILL ain't so good. I will put Wes in my prayers and if you talk to him, tell him that he HAS to do the PT after to make sure the thing heals right - David was a bit lax, I think. See you soon, Linda

Stef, I firmly believe that vivid dreams are visitations. I had one after my dad died. I was at the business he had owned and my brother now runs. I was talking to my brother and looked up and Dad was sitting in the chair right behind A J (my brother) I started to say something to A J, but Dad put his fingers to his lips and I realized he was letting me know that he was watching and things would be fine. When I woke up, it was the first time I woke up with a smile some 6 months after he died. I think that that is the person's way of letting us know that they are still around even if we can't see them.

I like your comment about the time limit being "negotiable". You're right. People DO beat it. Otherwise, they'd never gotten that 1% to start with. Here's hoping your step-dad can "up" the odds by one more percentage point. A positive attitude is crucial. My aunt had a positive attitude and enjoyed the time she had...and she lived several years after being diagnosed. My grandmother didn't have a positive attitude and went downhill fast.
