Just wanted to point out that wedding receptions are MUCH cheaper if you call the party anything but a reception. Seriously, I have cousin who had a "family reunion" that coincidentally came on the same day she got married; the cost of the party was less than half what it was when she was shopping for a reception.

I think A Christmas Story is way overrated. How come you don't like Dazed and Confused? It's very plot-less, but I enjoy it. I like hearing what movies you don't like, because it always surprises me. If you ever do decide to read some Margaret Atwood, I recommend The Handmaid's Tale and Oryx and Crake. They're both kinda futuristic and strange, but good times. Hey, did you ever read Lois Lowry's The Giver? Apparently they're making a movie out of it. I LOVED that book when I was a kid. I wanna read it again, but who has time for non-scholastic reading these days? :(

That's heinous. Good for you for calling and giving them a piece of your mind. It drives me mental when I think about how the media (especially magazines) persecute celebrities for not being thin enough... and persecute them some more when they're TOO thin. Hello? What do you think is at the root of this problem? Argh. I'm not even sure if I believe the story about the twins having eating disorders... they're tiny girls to begin with. But if it's true, mocking them for it isn't going to help. I could go on and on and on about this subject, as I'm sure you know. :P It's this kind of thing that makes me want to get into counselling so I can help make this problem go away... or at least make it less of an issue.
