I used to run indoor track and run a lot when I was training for lacrosse and soccer. Actually, I go running like every night while I'm here, and sometimes when I'm home or at school. Yeah, I like running a lot.

Happy New Year, and thanks for the note! Christmas was so stressful that it triggered one of my sporadic yet incredibly painful bouts of bowel problems. Now I'm back... heheh!
from chalkcircle :
A somewhat late Happy New Year to you
from lobsterchick :
Hi. Just wanted to let you know I didn't forget about you, and I am looking for pictures suitable for your diary. I just read your year-end round-up, and I saw what you said about only 10 people reading your diary regularly. I want to totally revamp your diary, but I think my questions could be better answered in an IM conversation. Do you have AIM, MSN, or Yahoo? Lemme know :)
from moodymelinda :
hi there....i was surfing guestmaps when i ran into your diary......i like it..the photos too......i will be back....take care.
from lobsterchick :
Hi! I was checking out your diary and I like it, but do me a HUGE favor and let me create a layout for you. I'll base it around a photo of your choosing (I'll even look for photos and present a selection to you, as if I were some sort of interior decorator), but dude, you need me. You know you do.
from vanoonoo :
if you were wearing football colours it was shagging, not making luurrrve and you damn well know it!! :D
from vanoonoo :

Us short women can be VERY scary when we need to be - something ahout an inferiority complex, I think...
from vanoonoo :
yay! :)
from vanoonoo :
oh no - ex partners - bleugh *grumble* my sympathies. glad to see you writing again though. Apart from the kid and partner related traumas I hope things are good for you :)
from vanoonoo :
lol to the "learn to say NO" d-ring. If you do start it - may I be a member please? My mum is coming to visit AGAIN tonight - this is the third time in about 6 weeks - ARGH! before that i don't think I'd seen her since christmas .... I'm a meany daughter me thinks, but hey - at least I don't take money off her for dance machines and fags?! heeheehee
from foosgold :
My brother-in-law and his brood live in Marham - he's in the RAF. I have to admit, he's not said one good thing about Norfolk!
from foosgold :
I've lived in Devon for the last 5 years, and I hate everything about it. It's insular, there's nothing to do unless you have a car, and the lack of beaches and countryside where I am drives me nuts! I'm originally from deepest, darkest Cornwall, about 10 miles from Lands End, and I would give anything to be able to move back down there.
from foosgold :
I do actually have sympathy for you - but only because you;re coming down to the hole in the ground that is Devon!
from amberfalls :
5 kids in a caravan for a week doesn't sound like a holiday, it sounds like hell. Good luck with a sub 4! I'm so close but so far away. I'm going for a run this weekend and it's pretty close to marathon distance. Wish me luck.
from vanoonoo :
five kids, a caravan, a week, devon. that's not preempting a loss of sanity. That's masochism *giggle* there are d-rings you can join for that you know? heehee
from kishijoten :
I've heard that ryhme :)) its been around for ages - and for the nanny thing, I always used to call my grandparents nanny and grandad house/nanny and grandad bungalow .... guess the reasons ;)
from kishijoten :
i'd have come with ya ;)
from foosgold :
Woman on the blob - ROFL!
from foosgold :
Thanks for adding me, too - looks as though we might just bore each other to death with our typical English lives...
from amberfalls :
I loved Cambridge when I was visiting England. It was one of my favorite cities and I would have liked to stay there longer. I remember going for tea and sitting on the banks of the river. It was very quaint.
from amberfalls :
Thanks for stopping in. I guess I've got to keep running because I didn't make that sub 4 hour goal yet. I'm still working on it.
from prowlingleo :
I know this is officialy random guestbook signing week, but I'm making it a 'thank you for reading me' day. So here is me, thanking you, for continuing to read me.
from sunnflower :
Hi from Suburban Island and thanks so much for adding me to your DLand faves. I have a weakness for UK diaries so I am excited to come back and read more of yours!
from treewillow :
My best friend lives in Ontario. And I would love to live closer to her and her family. Would give me someone to spend time with while our kids play together.
from teaforone :
'...the time is gone, the song is over. Thought I'd something more to say.' I think I want to be you if I ever grow up.
from teaforone :
this is too cool - as I read your entry entitled 'Brain Damage' and the final lines about you wanting to learn 'Money', that very song fires itself up on the jukebox (Money, that is). There is no better album in this universe than Dark Side Of the Moon - the poster of the album cover over my desk here in the home-office is evidence of my opinion. I haven't said it lately - but what wonderful taste in music you have.
from stormsong :
I'm good at hiding feelings - i must point out :( heck - friends ive known for years didn't even know the real me until i started this dairy and they read it and knew. even that isn't the real real me - (and this is a theme i'm exploring in my paper diary) i think ive turned into a chameleon. which is bad. *I* don't even think I know the real me :( and u still have that blue background grrr ;P
from amberfalls :
Ha! Of course he has a name, but I try to maintain other people's annonimity in my diary. Although, I will never be a Mrs. xxx. Neither one of us has any desire to get married. If you must know, his name is Greg.
from amberfalls :
One year already! My how time flies! Happy Birthday!
from amberfalls :
I'll be running in San Diego California on June 1. San Diego is humid (although, I know it's humid in London too) and warm. But, we should get a nice breeze from the Pacific Ocean. The course is fun because they have different rock bands playing every mile. I'm hoping to run a sub 4 hour marathon this year.
from amberfalls :
Congratulations!
from amberfalls :
Good luck with the run. I hope you have a great race day. With all your preparation, it should be excellent.
from amberfalls :
Hi there. Nine minute miles! Whoo! That's what my goal is for the marathon in June. I'm getting nervous already and it's only mid March. If you'd like to make a donation to my cause, please visit my diary. Not only am I running a marathon, I'm also raising money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Happy running. cheers -a-
from teaforone :
YES!!! I am happy now, and I once decided that if I ever were to know the time of my death, I would want Achillies Last Stand to be the last song I heard. I love the solo, I love the feeling to the song. The album Presence was painfully deep. Thanks!
from teaforone :
PUBLIC
from teaforone :
you have fallen off the face of the earth... so what do you see? Please write entries! Your pulbic demands it!
from teaforone :
2 updates in one day does NOT warrant zero updates for a week. You must find more time to waste here.
from teaforone :
I love listening to 'Genius Of Love' with the headphones - such a cool, spacial and funky beat. Sorry about the 12" being scratched, but you can still frame it and download the song like I did!
from amberfalls :
Some of my favorites I found by reading other people's profiles and reading their favorites. I think you might be on to something. -A-
from ladyofamber :
I must admit, I've never even visited unclebob's diary - let alone read an entry :/ therefore - me me me - i don't read it ;)))
from ladyofamber :
when/where did ya wanna meet hun? :)
from ciaramyst :
Thank you for joining my TGIF diary ring :) and BTW Thank God it's Friday!
from amberfalls :
Ha! That thing about the crampons was hillarious! -A-
from ciaramyst :
Thank you so much for your kind words. I am doing much better now. :)
from teaforone :
Wassup Gary! I'm Grant (teaforone) and I noticed that I was on your buddy list - cool. I also just now noticed that 4 of my 5 favorite bands listed are English. I'm gonna start keeping up with ya, so try to update your stuff more! Oh yeah, and I live in North Carolina where the ice storm hit and took out your e-mail - no hard feelings, I hope.
from ladyofamber :
sounds great hun :)
from ladyofamber :
"although sometimes I don't follow what you on about" Just ask hun ;)
from ladyofamber :
*whispers* we need a link for the review hun :) *hugs*
from dead-ophelia :
thanks for the note. i am so happy that you are still reading. I was a little lonely there for a while. your note really brightened my day. :)
from ladyofamber :
~congrats~ on ya bday hun - hope you had a great one!! :)))
from amberfalls :
Yes, I am good looking and I've been told this by many people (men) but I suppose I'm not a "real" chemist. I don't even have a master's degree but I'm working on it. I suppose one could say I'm a walking/talking contradiction. I like it. It keeps people guessing. Thanks for the note and I will continue to read. What are you researching anyway? I'd love to know all about it. Chemistry is fascinating stuff, you can send me an e-mail if that would be easier than a note. Bye
from esoterotica :
The prompt worked. Stopped in to say, "I read your journal!"
from amberfalls :
I just noticed that you added me to your list of favorites so I decided to take a look-see. Research chemist eh? Want a job in forensics? It's much more exciting! Then again, I don't know what your researching, so who am I to judge? I also LOVE ska and am of the opinion that most chemists are a little odd weather they are research, forensics or otherwise. But most are not nearly as good looking as I am :D
from dead-ophelia :
Yeah, I don't know what's up with that date thing. I don't know how to change it. Also, of course I have read Poe. Love him. as a matter of fact. He's amazing! :)
from mongerbasin :
hello... uhh. Sorry I just got an extreem stomach and I can't remeber where I am...
from dead-ophelia :
Virginia Woolf once said that Hardy was the best tragedy writer, and I totally agree with her. He creates these utterly doomed characters like Tess and Jude, and makes their stories completely compelling. I think his writing fits quite nicely into my list of nutsos, after all, Tess was eventually hanged. Of course, I could always chalk it up to the fact that I am completely sideways. Hee. Thanks for the question. It was one of the best questions I've received in a while. Hee!
from ezmerelda :
Hello, how are you? I sent you an e-mail, but I don't know if you got it or not. Thank you for reading my diary, I was suprised to see that anyone else would give a shit. Thank you for the nice note on my guestbook, too.
from dead-ophelia :
I suppose you're right about ND dying young. I mean, just look at the atrocity that was once Led Zeppelin. :)
from dead-ophelia :
Wow! I can't believe you know who Nick Drake is! Isn't he brilliant! It's sad that he died by suicide at age 26; he could have done so much more. You might want to watch the Royal Tanenbaums (if you haven'y alreafy seen it). Much of the soundtrack contains Nick Drake songs. Oh, by the way, I like your diary. It's that kind of quirky attitude that spins my wheels. Thanks for leaving me a not. Sorry I'm so darn wordy. Bye.
