from noaddedme :
His hair! It really does move?!?!?! He's such a tool ...
from cosmic :
I wouldn't be surprised if they start investigation anyone who was opposed to the removal. Makes wonder why.
from life-my-way :
She is the cutest thing ever, no wonder Cody (and Lease) are so proud--I'll bet you are too! Happy New Year to you all--enjoy the gorgeous baby and rocking new car! All best, K

from cosmic :

from noaddedme :
so is today going to be made into a state holiday for those in the land o' Blago? Nothing happier than an fbi arrest at sunrise!
from cosmic :
Beautiful picture. You are blessed.
from cosmic :
She is beautiful. Lease does look too young to be a grandmother. I get a kick out of codeman tool Wow does he lool like you! He and his wife and baby look like a very happy family. God bless you all. Did Lease get my Email?
from fling-poo :

from batten :
Congratulations! That is so wonderful! She's beautiful, Roadie. Spoil her rotten. That's what grandbabies are for. Big hug to you. -J
from noaddedme :
Congrats Grandpa! Let the spoiling commence!!!
from cosmic :
Wow! That is a fantastic fish! I'm glad you let it go. I am sending the page to my sister in Texas. They fish on their pier most every night.

from cosmic :
Glas to hear they are doing well.
from cosmic :
I love the pics, though it brought back a sad memory. Years ago, I had a robin build her nest on my window ledge in my son's bedroom. Every day, my cat would sit on my son's bed and her teeth would actually rattle as she had her nose pushed up against the glass. And every day, that romin would start my cat right in the eye a mere 1/2 inch away, seperated only by the glass. One day I noticed that there were only two birds instead of three in the nest. A few days later, only one. My cat would look at me and I swear, she looked sad. Almost like she felt bad. Well a few more days passed, when I happened to bgo by my son's room and heard a clatter. There was my cat going totally nuts at a bluebird attacking the one little bird that was left in the nest. From that day forward, every time I see a bluejay, I want to chuck a rock at it. I know it's the nature of the beast, but they suck! Even my cat was mad. Of course, we won't discuss what probably would have happened if my cat could have gotten to them.
from joleen :
Hey, yeah, I'm alive and kicking, just not on Diaryland, but I thought I'd cross post that potato salad recipe 'cause it was so good! I linked to the Vegenaise web site in my post, so you might want to go back and click on that link. It's made from the same things regular mayo is made from, mostly, just no eggs, so yes, it tastes an awful lot like mayo. It is whiter though, and that's a bit odd at first. I love the stuff. Very expensive, and not with the regular mayo on the shelf - it's in the refrigerated section. You should try some, let me know how you like it. :) I do miss salmon, that's for sure, but the oceans are over-fished, so my not eating seafood, just like all meat, is environmental in nature, and ethical. I just think we need to leave the animals alone. They don't have a choice but to each other, but we have lots of choices, and we can eat a really healthy and varied diet without any animal products at all - I'm learning so much! Take care, see you later. :)
from cosmic :
I think the agnostic think was pure bunk. I think he believed. Remember his other skit when he talked about finding all the "Stuff" he lost up in heaven? I saw him twice and loved him to pieces.
from boxx9000 :
"Hi" Cosmic sent me.
from cosmic :
How did I not know that Codeman was getting married?? How could I possibly have missed that?? This is not right. What is he, 12? Oh, wait. He was 12. He isn't anymore. That's right. I remember him in high school. I remember him in college. Wow! Has it been that long? Well congratulations to the happy couple and congrats to you and Lease for the addition to your family.
from cosmic :
That is so cool. I'm still trying to figure out how to snip the scene my caughter was in filming The Bronx is Burning. Eventually.
from joleen :
Hey Roadie, I get notifications if someone leaves a note, so sure, I saw your note - thanks! I have seen that video - it's circulating the 'net right now. I saved it in my YouTube favorites already - very clever! :) Thanks for thinking of me.
from batten :
"Told you not to slam the door!" "I can fix this. Honey, where's my hammer?" hee...
from cosmicrayola :
Merry Christmas from our home to yours. WHat a beautiful photo! You two do not look old enough to be parents of a college graduate!!
from sixweasels :
I love the bikini tree - thanks for sharing!
from cosmicrayola :
Wow, great pictures! Riley has grown!!! Wow!
from cosmicrayola :
Very nice photo. Her bouquet made the photo with those colors. What a nice way to add color.
from cosmicrayola :
I am so sorry I missed your birthday on the 24th. With everything going on, my head isn't always screwed on straight. SO, Happpy belated Birthday!! I hope it was a good one!!
from noaddedme :
I think I need a membership to that gym ....
from noaddedme :
I'm so sorry for the loss of his friend ... and all the other losses there has been. You're right, the gov. is a jackass. I hate him. Hate is mild. Apparently he thinks that we all have money like he does. Must be nice not to have bills waiting to be paid eh? No raise for us here at NorthernState U ...
from batten :
Oh man, Roadie, I'm so sorry about that kid. Will you please give J-Rod some extra condolences from the East Coast? I keep thinking that it has to get better sometime soon. Hang in there. -J

from cosmicrayola :
Ummm let's see how well I know you. 3 things in order of importance. 1)Lease 2)fishing, 3)photography. Do I win?
from cosmicrayola :
Congrats to Your son. You and lease must be so proud of him.
from auntie-mari :
Hey ya,,,it's nice to know some things don't change. You're as handsome as ever...snicker even old. HAHAHA! Congrats on the engagement I hope they will be very happy together! And yes I would love to see a photo of her as well!! OHH love the "Goldie Hawn" photo!! She looks so thrilled! Take care of yourself...
from joleen :
I'm just re-visiting your diary for a bit, and reading about Sprout - I'm so very sorry to learn of your loss. How sad. My girls are still going strong, Norma 17, and Gladys 16. Thankfully not eating the recalled pet food either!
from joleen :
I have astigmatism and can no longer see up close too. Whee! I need new glasses, but I don't think I'll have to wear glasses all the time... yet. I'm working on a computer all day at work, though, so maybe I need separate glasses for that too. Aging is fun, huh? Oh, congrats to Codeman on the engagement! :)
from life-my-way :
Steph? What happened to the lovely Chelsey? I feel so out of the loop. Got any photos of Steph? I want to know who as well as what we're celebrating. Congrats, Code.
from cosmicrayola :
Well, there's 30 minutes of my life that I'll never get back! I went into his bathroom, his library, his bedroom and the kitchen. He didn't get as mad clicking on the tv 7 times as bad as he did after clicking on his shower door for the 6th time, lol.
from cosmicrayola :
I would KILL for 65 degrees.
from cosmicrayola :
Wow. It's like he thinks you are there just to feed him! That is really neat that he lets you get so close.
from cosmicrayola :
Just catching up. I'm so sorry to hear about Sprout. I feel your pain and my sypathies are with you.
from batten :
I'm so sorry about Sprout. He seemed to have been such a wonderful dog. He was lucky to have had you. Big hug. -J
from life-my-way :
So sorry about Sprout. Losing those little friends is just so hard, they having been nothing but loving and kind.
from cosmicrayola :
Poor you. Poor Lease. I would go nuts living there. We had a snow day today. In RI, we only got a couple of inches on the south coast, but the freezing rain pretty much closed the state today.
from cosmicrayola :
OMG, First glance, I thought your friend RT was Nipsy Russell!!
from cosmicrayola :
If the guy was given clearance by his company, it seems that it wouldn't be his fault. I feel for the guy.
from cosmicrayola :
It's still just rain here. The temperatures are finally getting more normal. Hate the cold, but we need to get rid of all these germs. Drive safe tonight. Keep warm.
from bingoguy :
I am NOT one of those people who look forward to winter.. this year has been one the more wackier ones. The other day we had sun, rain, wind, snow in complete random alternations. Joysous then it froze over night. Joyous.
from cosmicrayola :
My God, I am so sorry. Though it is in no way your fault, I can imagine you feel horrible. I hope they find he died of a heart attack. At least then, besides knowing it would have happened no matter where or what he was doing, his family will know that at the end, he was doing something that gave him pleasure.
from cosmicrayola :
Merry Christmas to you and your family from our home to yours.
from kstyle :
"Merry Christmas (or whatever holiday you want to celibate)"..."celibate"???? does that mean sex is a no-no on holidays??
from talleyho :
Get yourself a Frosty today! (or something to that effect, some letters were obviously blown off the sign)
from talleyho :
I want a gold star!!! I want! I want! But the picture wouldn't open...no fair!!! Hope your holidays are grand and winter is easy on you this year. Sounds like it came in uber early out your way though. Maybe you'll have an early spring. The polarity of the earth is shifting, so you may end up in the sub-tropical zone one day!
from cosmicrayola :
CARRY OUT FEAST! ONE GOLD STAR FOR ME!
from cosmicrayola :
Wow! I thought it was cold here! That poor tree. Too bad it hadn't been the other one.
from noaddedme :
M & I tried brussel sprouts this year for the first time and were not thrilled with the results. Huge plants but not much harvest, although now I'm wondering if the picking advice we got sucked? I have no clue on growing the things, but we were told to pick them before the frost and we ended up with bitter little baby brussels :(
from cosmicrayola :
I know! I know!! It's the color of your new truck!! And it's a Toyota Highlander. Am I right? Did I win????
from cosmicrayola :
I am just catching up. That is one fine looking boat. You can just imagine all the years of memories just looking at it. I miss those days of fishing and camping with my kids. They have no interest in it now. I guess it is a disappearing sport. Sad.
from noaddedme :
Not only is Nothing petty, she's rather stupid too! SHE was the one havings issues with him but pulls pranks like that??? She sounds like my boyfriend's ex-wife. She wanted out of the marriage but over 7 years later one of her favorite hobbies is trying to hurt him. Sadly they can't get a life! Kudos to Codeman's freedom from IT and I hope that things keep going well with his new friend :) ~~ Kaire
from cosmicrayola :
I love youtube! I have 4 or 5 on my tube now.
from noaddedme :
Happy birthday! I got you the governor's head on a stake! I knew you'd like that :)
from auntie-mari :
Hey Roadie just thought I would drop by and say hello. So busy don't know which way is up but needed a bit of unwind time so I thought I would do it in Dland. Are you ready for winter???????
from poolagirl :
Happy Happy Happy Birthday!
from cosmicrayola :
This is really strange. You were writing a comment in my diary while I was updating that entry to talk about your jelly. I am eating the rasberry now. OMG! It is delicious!
from cosmicrayola :
I don't get it. What isn't as it seems?
from kstyle :
got a new toy on my page you might be intersted in exploring..,and thanks for the votes! posted the results a few enties back!
from kstyle :
hey bud :) got some pics up that i'd love your input on...
from cosmicrayola :
Your guestbook is wonky. Anyway, just for the record, someone pointed out in my comments that Neptuce is now pullung up the rear. Hah, you were close, though. Just a few light years away. Haha. Great pics of you two with the trophy!! You do NOT look like a dork!
from talleyho :
Something strange happened this summer. In May we had squirrels all over the place. Now we have none. The only thing we did is spread copious amounts of insecticide on the lawn. I was seeking to rid us of the moles, voles and groundhogs and think I have rid us of all four-legged vermin. I do so love squirrel meat tho...
from batten :
Yes but reading about your war on the tree rats every year has become a tradition... I understand if you feel like it's just not worth it but some of us'll miss the saga... -J
from auntie-mari :
Hey ya Roadie, Just popped in to see how things were going with you. I love the photo of the road, we don't get to see many of those around here. Your nectorines look wonderful!! Have a great day!!!
from cosmicrayola :
Hey, Roadie. I hope everything comes out alright. (Pun intended)
from cosmicrayola :
It almost looks as though someone has Riley's left hand helping her to balance herself.
from poolagirl :
I've done the Mentos rockets - but never like that! OMG! That was GREAT!
from kstyle :
thanks for the kind words :)
from kstyle :
hi...have a few b/w pics on my page i'd love you to see...and i dunno if you've ever looked at my flickr page, there's a link at the bottom of my entry...i always love your stuff :) michael
from poolagirl :
Dang! Roadie! Those were some clouds!
from cosmicrayola :
Wow. Powerful video. My heart goes out to those still suffering and the children born to those poor mothers.
from just2cusmile :
ahhh hurry home lease your sweet hubby is missing you-that does suck-mother nature screws up everything..loved the picture of the flowers..
from cosmicrayola :
Thank God it didn't happen while she was at work!!!!!
from allegedwife :
I actually prefer the original. It looks all dark, broody and mysterious. The B&W looks starker, the site more decrepit, as if there might be a heroin overdose slumped around the corner. I guess it depends on what effect you are going for. Cheers Fi xxx
from pissymystic :
Not that you didn't know this already, but you rock! Thanks for the link.
from pissymystic :
Hi there. I've seen your name around D-land for years now, but am only now getting around to visiting you, because I pretty much suck. I'd like to start at the beginning of your diary, because I'm really enjoying what I've read so far, but it looks like your "older" page only goes back to Nov. of 2001. Is that pretty close to the start of things, or am I going to be missing something important? Thanks bunches. :)
from coppersky :
I LOVED the photos. *claps*
from cosmicrayola :
Happy New Year!
from eucalia :
Beautiful pictures! (As usual!)
from allegedwife :
PETA really have sunk to a new, all-time low with the comic book. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
from batten :
Arrowroot powder will thicken any sauce fairly quickly without changing the'taste. I'm sure you already know that but just thought I'd remind you. It's generally my saving grace when cooking chinese. (grin) Hope y'all are staying warm out there in the almost great white north. -J
from allegedwife :
that is one ugly looking fish! Do they taste any good?
from just2cusmile :
happy belated birthday!! those are some nice fish you and your wife caught-i hope ya'll had a nice trip!!
from drewbearsf :
Hey Buddy. All this morning, I've been thinkin' about an ice cream shop in Mohall that we used to go to. Next time you're on the West side of town, can you make a pictures of it for me? The memories are onthe west side serving counter. Details at DrewBear.com
from life-my-way :
Great photo, and happy birthday T!!! Welcome to 44, and here I come right behind you [December 30]. Have a great weekend and a fantastic day.
from allegedwife :
What, exactly, do you do with all that salsa? It's just something we occasionally buy to eat at parties (with corn chips) here.
from zencelt :
I couldn't fit 24 jars of salsa in my kitchen, let alone make them. (Drooling...)
from just2cusmile :
oh we've got those creatures all around us too here in florida-you've gotta keep your eye on your doggies and kiddies around the water...gator doesnt taste that bad-its not my favorite but i could eat it if i had to and fried pickles are soooo good with ranch dressing.yummmm and i use to love cheap trick!!

Great site. I had fun reading!
from ihmsa :
Instead of "Little big man", maybe "Flanders" ala The Simpsons? He looks alot like him.
from hamiltonian :
hope you are alright...
from poolagirl :
Yeah, I understand alpha birds all too well! HA HA HA! There really IS one in every crowd!
from summer-gale :
Yeah I'm guilty too. I come here at least once a week and slide away siliently.

from rkwj1 :
That Rainbow episode was classic. I watched it a few times to make sure I got all the laughs and then I watched about five more times just to laugh. My favorite line is when they say..... Geoffrey:"well not now Bongo, it's nearly time for us to go. Bongo:" oh but I've just been". Very funny. I don't know how old your kids are but mine watch clifford the big red dog and theres an episode about clifford hiding his bone. It's pretty funny, now whether it was intentional I'm not sure but they go on and on about cliffords bone being hidden alot and in some strange places. Later,ROB

Karen's Klit - I should NOT read things like that when I'm eating or drinking anything!

Hey roadie - sorry to hear about the loss of Uncle Earl. He sounds like a great guy - and the treasures he gave you by his presence will live forever. (and thanks for making me a fave)
from bingoguy :
Sorry to hear about the loss of your uncle. Close or not, it's hard to lose family members. Hope your dad is doing ok as well.
from sunnflower :
Hi from Suburban Island and thanks so much for leaving me a note about the sunflower banner coincidence.

Yes you're so right. Life moves so quickly sometimes I have to sit and think about my age and when I finally come up with a number it's like, "when did I turn 34?". Weird! later,ROB By the way, the picture is great. It got my vote.
from kstyle :
cast my vote....nice pic!
from twisted-mind :
I voted for your picture. It was by far the best. Hope Lease gets her goodies!
from rkwj1 :
I feel your pain. I have been a Jets fan for as long as I can remember. We all know what kind of team they are. Hang in there, The baseball season is long and when your team has no chance of making it it is even longer. I'll leave you with this. Go Yankees! Sorry....I couldn't resist. later,ROB
from joleen :
Hey, that's a blue heron, isn't it? Pretty bird, nice photos. I saw a huge hawk near my job today. I wished I had my binocs with me.

Awww how sweet. What a wonderful picture.
from twisted-mind :
Thank you very much for your note in reply. I think I will purchases it for the price in the link you posted. Thanks again for offering your advice and opinions.
from twisted-mind :
I noticed you mentioned photoelf. I downloaded the free trial version because I wanted something to compress my graphics and digital photos. My trial version is almost up and was wondering if you would recommend the current price of $150 for it? Or if you possibly knew of a cheaper price? Thanks for your time.
from rkwj1 :

I had no idea how far behind I was in reading your journal! Egad. I love all three photos on this page: 040412_8.html Nice. Oh, I bet I mess up the layout of your notes page now. Here, I'll amend that to include just the end of the url... There, add the usual, the roadipig dot diaryland dot com thing before it. Love them. Beautiful. Didn't mean to fall so far behind. I'll try not to let it happen again. I'm just so used to LiveJournal now, where you have one page for all your 'friends' journals and you don't have to click around to read everyone. I'm spoiled. :) Take care, happy gardening.
from twisted-mind :
You said the F-word! I don't think I've ever seen you say that. :o)~
from bingoguy :
I've, of course, heard of Sam Roberts. This most likely is because I'm Canadian and he gets airplay up here. I quite enjoy his first single he released "Brother Down" (not sure it's on that album) but it's got a nice groove to it and reminds me of "Beta Band"
from kstyle :
ok, i had that leonard nimoy album...i had ALL his albums! i don't remember that video, but i'm sure i probably saw it on the smother's brothers show...they ran all sorts of cool stuff..might be a bit before your time? oh and by the way, thanks pal, i am now a yafro junkie....oooh, the things i've seen...yikes! - michael

I can get it out of my head, its this darn uncontrollable laughter I can't stop! Why don't I find whacky stuff like that when I surf the web? Life would be so much more enjoyable if I did, though thankfully I can rely on you to provide.

There's something about Black and White you like. Judging from the amount of white on your new car I'd fathom the answer is washing. Congrats on the new car though.

Thanks. you'd think I'd be used to the whole c-section waiting period. This was my wifes third c-section in three and a half years. You think "Ah six weeks isn't that long" and by like the second week your humping the banister. It's not that you need it as much as the fact that you can't have it that makes you want it so bad. That and the fact that your wife has suddenly dropped a bunch of weight and you want to rock the new body. The football thing only makes it worse. J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets. Bastards! Later,ROB

For chewing, Bitter Apple. My new dog has tried to flatter me by destroying my eyeglasses and my favorite shoes (foolishly left by the front door, on the rug where her toys wind up, last night.) This morning, she started on the handle of a basket near her bed. I sprayed a little of the bitter apple, and for the rest of the morning and into the night, she's looked a bit dismayed, but obedient. I even (accidently) left my closet door open today, all day, while at work -- nary a shoe nor bit of dirty laundy was touched.
from oed :
When I recall the moon landing by Neil A., I can still feel the sculpted carpet imprint on my cheek from where I fell asleep in front of the tv in the living room, sweaty in our un-airconditioned house in SC in July (i think.) I opened my eyes, and watched that first step sideways. I don't believe I lifted my head off the carpet. Groggy and stunned for the youngster are pretty much the same.

I do like the Ravens, I just don't LOVE'EM the way I did the Steelers and can't quite get into the games as much - I get easily sidetracked. Even though B-More is my hometown, in the years that we were teamless and had the Steelers club at the "Other Bar," the black and gold grew on me and sort of never ungrew. Ummm... i seem to be unable to find the guestbook link.. but anyways, I believe MTV *was* going to do a very Osbourne Christmas. I remember seeing the commercials for it, but they might postpone it with Ozzy's accident and all.
from joleen :
Signmyguestbook says 'server not found', but this is what I wrote: Just catching up on your diary, dude. Yeah, the plaque you bought is very cool. :) And nice you found a replacement poster. About your cousin, that does suck, I'm sorry, but you have to respect the different reasons people have for not seeking medical 'treatments' for diseases. I know I wouldn't put myself through it either, plus there's the cost of it all (with no insurance). I hope you don't feel he made a mistake, it was what he wanted. About the snow, WOW. Looks like the Northeast has gotten it pretty bad, but you up in "North Dakota", ;), have gotten it too. Take care with it all. Also, love the photo of the Codeman with Chelsea - she is lovely. And Jay with his first snow. Nice snow pics and good photog tips too. Whew! I think that's it!
from kstyle :
tried to put this is gbook, damn!...yep, fetus DOES sound like a good 'ol boy's name! i just have the basic picture it! 2002 program that came with xp...i use the clone painting feature to touch up photos, remove power lines, etc! it's pretty basic, but i'm pretty good with it now i guess... i did fiddle with that dark wedding shot of yours, but i got nowhere...gave it a shot, at least. thanks for dropping a note, m.
from windwoman :
Sorry to hear about your pup. :(
from poolagirl :
Hey there! Thanks so much for your lovely note! I really liked your views about limbo - and the babies trying to get under the bamboo stick. You have 816 entries - and THAT is impressive! I'm at 101 now and closing in on you! HA HA HA
from bingoguy :
Yeah, I think Andrew keeps Signmyguestbook on the same server as the webmail (which has been having the drive troubles of late) That's my guess and I'd further a guess he also keeps pitas.com on there too. As for Rafferty, He was probably already on the light rock/adult contemp stations when I was a teenager. I knew Baker Street, back then, but didn't know who it was by. It's only recently I've started to delve into more of his work. Of Course, I learned of "Stuck in the Middle with You" from "Resevoir Dogs." Sue me.
from trinity63 :
You know I have been meaning to come over here and read and read and I procrastinated horribly. So I came over, and I am glad I did. You have a terrific diary:) I will be back:)
from kimbarley :
Wasting time?! Bah. Even if I'm running short on time you are one of the half dozen diaries I HAVE to read each day. No matter if it is something about work, the garden, shopping... you name it, I still look forward to seeing what is happening in Roadiepig's world.
from kstyle :
sorry about the multiple gbook things, i tried 3 times since last night to post in there, and now all three show up...weird.
from twisted-mind :
I am not a sports fan but I will be rooting for the Cubs! It'd be great for you to see his smile.
from poolagirl :
Oh, my God! You are soooo funny! I hadn't thought of Jarts in years. I had a set, and we used to try and stick them into the side of the old barn. To hell with tossing them at some target in the grass!
from kimbarley :
I can't see the "copyright" pic... could you email it to me?
from treewillow :
Wow, that picture of the fire is great. I really like your pictures, I am glad you show them to us all.
from poolagirl :
You are funny as in "ha ha" not "Eeeewwww, smell this tuna salad." I tried to archive my older entries and they all disappeared. I can find them but nobody else can. Sheesh! I guess you're stuck with September entries to figure out what kind of D-Lander I am. I don't have a homepage or a storage page. Hell, I still have a dial-up modem and no DVD player yet either. Just call me Wilma Flintstone.
from poolagirl :
I stumbled upon you today. So glad I did! You are on my FAVE list now!
from kimbarley :
I'd like to see the pics if you'd send em my way that is... are any of them closer up?
from kimbarley :
No veggie seeds as of yet, however I have pulled Cosmos and yesterday some of the Sweet Peas were ready to be harvested. I am anxious to see what they will turn out like. When I worked at a seed company years ago pulling seeds for a 2nd generation wouldn't work because of all the genetic crossing they'd done. We shall see, I promise to post an update.
from kimbarley :
I second the drop on the hits lately... I had just been figuring it was me. Anywho, very glad you found time to give a proper update. I miss you when you get busy and are gone. And the drawing is a dead ringer!
from drewbearsf :
I've been gettin' a dip in hits lately, and have had at least three folks drop off my journal rings. My theory is its summertime and folks have other things to do, or are on vacation. I also suspect I've been loosein' folks as I've been bad about postin' pictures. People like pictures. Check out http://www.livejournal.com/users/androkles/ sometime. He always has lots of pictures.
from squirrelx :
Congratulations on adoptin' Jay! When four-leggeds 'find' their own families, I believe that's proof positive of the angels in action. Warmest regards, Xtine
from kimbarley :
I'm glad you and your family have a soft spot for critters that others will put aside so easily. I think Jay is adorable... he looks like he is or will be a character.
from drewbearsf :
Please tell me you took, and intend to share pictures of the "middle-aged, beer bellied graybeards."
from kimbarley :
Thanks for that link, can't tell you how much I enjoyed that one! So hi and bye... still don't have to camera software loaded to show you those pics. No worries cuz the plants haven't gone anywhere yet.
from sixweasels :
Guestbook must be down, but I just wanted to say what a strange day! I hope your co-worker is alright, and that it was some weird fluke thing. Scary!
from twisted-mind :
Just wanted to say congrats to your Mr. Codeman for graduating. And congrats to you and Lease for getting him though it too.
from kimbarley :
Had some plant pulling questions and was curious if I could convince you to issue a little advice? If you don't mind... pop me an email [email protected] Thank you!
from whistlepop :
whistlepop is also a kind of sucker that is shaped like a whistle (and make whistle noises).
from indpndnt-ter :
Hey there! Thanx for the note! ^_^ I found ya actually thru one of my other diaries (beyond that, I'm stumped. Linked by someone else? Who knows?). I'm still at http://antipop2u.diaryland.com, but I brought a few of my regular reads over to indpndnt-ter to spread things out. And your "journal" isn't crappy. I actually have found myself telling my dad to knock it off when he curses the road crews around here. Thanx for checking out my new obsession... err... diary! ^_^
from wantcarvel :
Hi, Roadie! Just wanted to let you now that Gardener's Supply http://www.gardeners.com is having their spring sale now. They've got those tomato teepees 3 for $6.99! That's a really good price, isn't it? Take care and happy gardening. Good luck with those artichokes! (remember the episode of the Little Rascals when someone serves Stymie an artichoke and he says, "well, they may choke Artie but they ain't gonna choke Stymie!" hahaha)
from angsthase :
Just minutes ago, I was watching live footage of an attempt by a\U.S. military forces to destroy a statue of Saddam Hussein. They kept missing. How many tax dollars are going to be spent on busting statues? I just hope that I'm not going to be trying to knock down George W. Bush statues next year.
from kimbarley :
Thank you for the note you left. It's been taking me just about all I have to catch up on my favorites one by one... proud to say I'm making progress. I also had a laught listening to the defense minister of Iraq especially when a US soldier replied about the report "will just cross the street and have a little talk with him" Hah Well it's time for me to do some back reading on your stuff... can't wait to see all the pictures I've missed!
from treewillow :
Hi there, I hate to bug you. Auntie-Mari said that you may have some sites that let's you host pictures for free, that I could use on a template for in here. If you have any I would love to know where you found some, please and thank you :)
from piehole :
Whoa! Ron Jeremy is Terrorist #2? ... I knew that guy was up to something.
from kissacod :
HAHA!! I was like, "Wha?" when I read the note but then I read Tones' diary :-D I dunno... sometimes he just comes out -- like Jekyll! It's not pretty.
from kissacod :
Thanks, Roadie! Haha, I've just seen them the once but it was the best show and I was up at the front. The show they're playing this time around will be easy to get into since it's an annual fair thing, but I will be worried about my spot. I have a feeling there'll be a lot of apathetic viewers though so I'll probably eb able to squeeze my way through somehow. And it's a big stage :-D Codeman's shirt must rock if he got it when he was 9 (and it's signed!) Hope everything's good with you...
from november9 :
Hey..diaryland apparently went down as I was writing an entry and it didn't go thru. It annoyed me and when diaryland came back up I wanted to see if I could post an entry then and that was a test entry. I thought I had deleted it once I saw an entry could go thru but I didn't until just now. Thanks for the guestbook entry. hehehehe aa to you right back ;))
from eucalia :
I just wanted to say thanks for the mention and post as many pictures as you want because I love looking at them!
from kimbarley :
Elated that I redeemed myself sufficiently enough... there was a moment of little girl squirm action that you got out of me when I saw that you mentioned me in your journal today. Thanx for the smile.
from twisted-mind :
Thank you! Thank you very much! :o)
from november9 :
Hey!! I'm a friend of Cody's. I added you to my list of favorites not long ago. I love reading your journal and seeing the pictures you take. You say in your profile you hope to be like UncleBob some day..well if you ask me you're a lot better and funnier than him!! Take care and Happy New Year!!
from circusfreak :
hey roadie. no monmouth for your son. good call. is peter pitts doing the recruiting? that bitch got me to come here promising eons of financial aid. and i got stuck here for four years. what are his interests? (the sons?) tell him good luck. senior in high school. 4 years is ages ago. odd huh? coming from. well me.?
from centipede6 :
I get obsessed with such unique individuals, that is my excuse. Ms. Muldowney's quite well-known for crashing parades in the New Jersey area and doing "guerilla ballet" type performances, as various characters. Her name is in the YAhoo! search engine, yet she's no website or anything fan-related, just a couple pages with photos or that pamphlet that has been in circulation forever. I probably should have better things to do with my time I know...like trying to get my kitten to lose some damn weight. He's got to be about 20 pounds now. Eats anything that he can chew and swallow.
from demoniclove :
Thanks for the mouse trap info, though I'm hoping to convince them to get the more mouse living friendly traps. :-) I do still live in Decatur, unfortunately. Looks like the farthest away from here I'll get in the near future is Warrensburg... haha.
from patw-21 :
okay i'm sure that WAS a banner!
from kissacod :
Haha!! Yeah, I thought it might've been 'doobie' as well and even used that in some of the making-fun (there was enough to use both 'doovie' and 'doobie') She is like Ozzy to me. This is great. PS: your photos at Photogra are lovely!!
from centipede6 :
hey, all I did was wipe my entries clean..have to. Just needed to, really. I'm weird..I have to do that once in a great while. But I threw in another entry..and will add more.
from squirrelx :
Dear Roadie: I just wanted to write and compliment you on the wonderful album of pictures you recently put together. My absolute favorite [if I was forced to choose] would have to be the shot of the cobblestone street which you took lying on your stomach. Exceptional photo! Also --- I saw your new banner. It's terrific, but if you want to have it run less than 20,000 times, just e-mail Andrew. One day I was putting up a banner and made the same mistake you apparently did; I forgot to specify an amount. Soon as I realized what had happened, I wrote Andrew to apologize thinkin' such a flood of banners might gum up the works for him somehow and he turned around and fixed the error, no questions asked. He was real sweet about it. Best, Xtine / Squirrel X
from squirrelx :
Dear Roadie: You're probably familiar with the famous Antoine de Saint-Exupery quote about how it's only with our hearts that we can see rightly. Your photographs always bring those words to my mind because they capture so many emotions which are at once tender and powerful. Keep shootin'! You're one man who should have a camera with him at all times. Best, Squirrel X / Xtine
from squirrelx :
Thanks for the birthday wishes! You put a smile in my heart. I hope you and your family had a happy Halloween. Mine was more of a 'treat' than anticipated ... my Zombie Barbie costume turned out real good.
from squirrelx :
First off, bless your heart for the lovely mention you gave me in your diary yesterday. It lifted my heart, not to mention my stats. Second, damn that Beavis for pullin' up the crosses. Regulations are made to be broken, especially when they shouldn't have been created in the first place. Best, Xtine / Squirrel X
from squirrelx :
Dear Roadiepig: I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate your emotional generosity. I was feeling like a penny waiting for change while I wrote today's entry, but receiving kind and supportive responses such as yours has made all the difference in the world. Best, Xtine / Squirrel X P.S.: I completely grok your varmint situation. ;-)
from twisted-mind :
Nope no walnut trees for me. My husband had one as a child and still has nightmares about having to pick them off the ground. :o)~
from angsthase :
It has yet to be seen if the sniper is a militia type who see's black helicopters and thinks that the U.N. is a jewish conspiracy. However, the man's neighbors in Washington have been speaking about him doing a lot of target practice in his back yard, which does put him in the militia freak territory. The pundits were pretty clueless on this one, though. The media coverage of this whole thing has been insanely reckless.
from lorster :
Hey Roadie! Great pics, and good luck on the fishing trip. Catch your fill, ok? (damn g-books, anyhow.....grumble)
from kstyle :
is your g-book still down? mine is..grrrrr! - m
from jimmyusual :
Tell me about it! The older I got the fatter I became. For reasons I don't understand sitting at a desk was not building muscle mass.
from rockincoloma :
Thanks for leaving a note. I'm a fan of a handful of bands/artists on your lists, too (Tom Petty, Weezer, Everclear, U2, blah blah blah) and quite enjoy that you're a football fan, as well. Illini, huh? See you Saturday. I was going to try to say something a lot more interesting but this is all I've got. I'm not good at this.
from joleen :
Durr, signmyguestbook.com is down. Here's what I've been trying to say: Wow, I hope you're okay, like really okay. Maybe it was a migraine. That just sounds so horrible, and scary because you were on your own. I hate being sick and vulnerable like that. And (sentences starting with 'and' rule!), I do hope you don't get West Nile Virus. Please be careful!!
from pearljamie :
CRAP! I accidentally deleted you from the Larry David ring!! My bad- add yourself again if you wish. Ugh, so sorry!
from kstyle :
i wrote a great note and got hung up on -yeah, thanks andrew! just wanted to say i read ya everyday...i ain't goin' nowheres nohow! a day without roadiepig is like a day without...uh,...heirloom tomatoes! - michael
from wantcarvel :
Thanks for your words of support, Roadie. I really appreciate you taking the time to drop a line : )
from deaf-knee :
sampras won the US open? WOW. :)
from centipede6 :
hey, maybe you are getting old, so am i! but you're not singing and prancing about being a suicidal, lovelorn teenager in the repressive English countryside at the age of 45..that describes me about 5 years ago, hahaha, except i'm in California...and i'm just 20! but i feel 45, haha...
from schizogirl :
I'm confused. I thought you lived in Illinios. Are you being sneaky or am I being blonde?
from strangerlucy :
Thanks for the words of wisdom- and I agree with everything that you wrote. She's more stubborn than her mama (lookout!) but a lot more reckless (lookout x3). I love her a lot, but she definitely is one of those people who is going to have to hit the wall before she figures out that it hurts. I'll get it written out, I know things could be worse than they are, but it still bothers me. Thanks for letting me know about the email problem you had, I'll check my settings.
from bingoguy :
Decimated Fruit. I recommend a Farm Cat. I have a Maine Coon/Siamese Cross and in his younger years he was a total Rat hunter. My Ex-wife's dad used to borrow him from us on occasion to kill Rats under his trailer and to keep the crows out of his fruit trees.
from wantcarvel :
I agree with you- Kissacod and Joleen are wonderful friends. As Davy Jones of The Monkees once said, "You need all of the friends you can get, I'm telling ya." Have a terrific weekend!
from centipede6 :
don't remember if i ever signed this section of yrs before or not, but anyway...yes it's pretty obvious the NBA and other 'professional'(maybe 'high ticket' is a better word for it) sports are favorites first, skills second..not to discount the Lakers, but because of the people involved in that team the rules are loosened..did you know that Ralph Nader of all people is looking into the officiating after seeing game 6. Wonder will come of that, maybe Nader will be useful again (instead of meddling in presidential elections).
from sixweasels :
SignMyGuestbook is down and I wanted to mention this before I drank a bunch o' beers today and forgot. That picture is great! I think what makes it so cool to me is that from what I can see of Ruby's face, there's a resemblence between her and Lease, which makes having Lease reflected in her glasses even neater.
from jenne1017 :
yes I did so Happy Random G*Book Signing Week to you too!
from robertahay :
Heehee! Erm, thank you! I think...:) I'll need to get into the random guestbook signing too, sounds like fun! luv from Rob
from angsthase :
That's only the second half of the collection. There's another thousand CD's preceding that. Not to mention the vinyl...
from motherlode :
ehhh, thanks for signing my guestmap. the little clay people I've been posting on kissacod are made out of Fimo-brand clay. There's the fimo Me, and then there are the fimo guys, who can also be seen over here. Yes they're caricatures of a band me and sandy like alot ;) thanks again!
from angsthase :
Ha. "Corner of Good Food and Good Times" indeed.
from angsthase :
I've made several attempts to brew beer in my life, and they've all failed. One batch tasted good, but was pretty low on the alcohol content. I attribute this to the fact that my apartment was quite dusty, and I had trouble keeping the temperature down. It is a lot of fun to do, and I have enjoyed several cases of beer brewed by more adept homebrewing friends. It's really only 2 days of real work, and a whole lot of waiting. Have fun.
from joleen :
Well, either I didn't close my url " or we can't use HTML. Either way, it's JimmyUsual.diaryland.com and I hope everyone reads him (not just because he says nice things about me!)
from joleen :
Thanks for visiting my friend Mark's diary (can we use HTML in here?), and adding him to your list! He's very funny and if he keeps updating it's going to be good!
from deargabby :
Your question has been answered. Thanks for asking!
from angsthase :
AMF (Athens Music Factory) is one of those meat market/underage drinking meccas downtown. Yeah, I really don't know what that guy was thinking. Being from the city, I'm sort of accustomed to people standing closer than what's noramlly accepted while you're at the ATM, but nobody would ever dare to talk to you. There are a lot of people out there who lack basic social skills.
from angsthase :
I actually used that same herb/oil mix on chicken last night. The beef came across pretty tasty with nothing on it...I made sure that it stayed kinda red. The worst thing about this diet is that Heather now wants to eat just about everything that she can think of...
from angsthase :
I can think of a lot of things worse than being called a woman. Your last diary entry, compunded with my trip to the big city, is making me miss the NYC subway system even more...
from angsthase :
Hey Roadiepig! Do my writings strike you as being those of a woman? hmm. That Zumpano record is pretty good. So's the first one. They claim that they're going to do another one, but I'm not holding my breath.
from angsthase :
Let's see...former Spin magazine album of the year "Bandwagonesque" by Teenage Fanclub, "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" by the Smashing Pumpkins, Zumpano's "Going Through Changes". Is that R.E.M.'s "Automatic for the People" that I see? Weezer's "Pinkerton". Two more guesses: Nirvana's "Nevermind" and an Ultra Vivid Scene album?
from angsthase :
Hey, thanks in return for adding me to your fav's list. I've been an off and on reader of your diary for quite a while. BRMC are pretty good...I kinda feel guilty for not going to see them when they came through Athens in the fall.
from dazy81 :
Thanks for joining the sleepnaked diaryring!
from i12play2 :
Hi Roadiepig! Thanks for the note, glad you liked my scribblings. (One of these days, I'm gonna update.) You must keep pretty busy, what with two gardens, all those cd's, and regular updates ta' boot! Maybe we can trade HTML/fishing secrets sometime. I saw a quote last night that said "Give a man a fish, and he'll be fed for a day. Teach him to fish, and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day." If you ever need a quick music "fix", you're welcome to download all my stuff www.mp3.com/shannonmnorris Take care, and I'll see you in d-land.
from moahh :
hi there... actually I went to brmc consert this thursday!!! they were SO GREAT! actually a lot better live than on the record... before them played vue- actually a disappointment. but it didn'ty matter cause brmc were SOOO cool. listening to the white stripes now, looking forward to their concert! /moahh
from talleyho :
Thank you for the birthday wishes! I have no problem with my age and will proudly tell you I am 45. Being the youngest in a family of four means that every year gained is a validation of sorts. Your notes are always welcome and appreciated. Hope all is well with you and yours.
from cosmicrayola :
Thanks for signing my guestbook and for the support. I got avisual of you in the top after you described yourself. Scarey! Hey, come on back and join my over-40-crew ring. Just a bunch of us more mature crew. Cosmic

look me up...and now for the rest of the story.
from joleen :
I think it is outrageously cool, like way beyond cool, like coolerific, that you and your son both have diaries on Diaryland now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys rock!
from flying-kiwi :
HI there, Ta for the two-cents. They're actually white Butterfly, or Cabgage Butterfly, caterpillars. They sound the same as what you're talking about though, they eat cabbages and brocolli mostly. I don't actually use cabbages a lot, I just planted them 'cos this is my first vege garden and I just stuck them in because other people seemed to. Now I know that I only needed to put in on or two, not 10 lol! And I will get some organic spray I think. Most of the cabbages are well past saving, those damn things do damage so fast! I couldn't believe it! It took maybe 3 days to get a major infestation...and those days were the last three, which have been so down for me that I couldn't get myself together to go and do anything in my garden. Poor neglected cabbages. Never mind, I'm ready for the disgusting creatures now, they won't be going any further!
from flying-kiwi :
oh, the message...thanks for signing my guetbook...:o)
from flying-kiwi :
Hi Roadiepig, I thought I should leave you a message since you so nicely signed my guestbook :o) love Flying-Kiwi
from shutterbug :
hey, thanks for the link. i'd link you....but there are so many people that would be offended if i didnt link them also. and im much too lazy for all that work. but im sure people will check out my guestbook and notice your four comments and spark an interest 8 )
from journalomatt :
hey...thanks for the update on the new book. i'll definately go check it out next time in a bookstore. i just loved high fidelity so much but haven't gotten around to any of his other books yet. if their anywhere near as good as that was, i'm sure i'll love it. again, thanks for the note and checking out my pages...take it easy...
from gigabit :
hi there, thank you for the note! I don't know if I mean to be funny, either. oink.
from sixweasels :
Thanks for the mention in your diary! Much appreciated! I'm not much of a gardener myself (hubby says I can keep anything four-legged alive forever but if it is leafy and green its a goner with me) but I still find reading about it interesting. Chris (my husband) is into the whole pepper thing and makes some kick-butt hot sauces. He's talking about starting to make his own salsas, so I'll be interested in reading about your experiences.
from punktheloser :
I am not sure if you remember me or not but a long time ago you signed my guestbook telling me that "I worried your soul" and I can't help but laugh and yet it feels so nice to have someone worry about me. Thank you. You found me in uncle-bob's guestbook and took it upon yourself to sign mine with words of encouragement. Sadly not much has changed, I no longer just dwell on suicide because I finally tried it. As you can see I didn't die. I just wanted to leave you a note and let you know I have a new diary now. :) Thank you so much for signing and caring.
from shutterbug :
well, you must read a lot of diaries every day!! thats quite a long list you have there. maybe i will be on it. that would be swell. unfortunately, it looks like you caught my diary at the one sad entry i've even put in there. sorry bout that. *k
from motherlode :
Hey mister. I've snuck around your diary before, thanks to my homegirl kissacod and I'm flattered you would read me and leave me that lovely note. I am so insanely jealous you have a Trees Lounge shirt. I WANT THAT TREES LOUNGE SHIRT. I will do anything, ANYTHING for it. Like... send you Pez? Hah. :) Rock on, man.
from talleyho :
LOLOLOLOL (gasp, snort) LOLOLOLOLOL Pregnant???? OMG! Not physically possible for this breeding hefer, not since the old doc was kind enough to remove the offending thing. Now life is oh so much easier, less messy if you will, on a monthly basis. Every woman who has made the decision not to bear more children should have the procedure freely offered to her, paid for by the government. Just think of the benefits for society. Good try tho!
from talleyho :
Thanks for your note and am so glad you enjoyed the Street Gespatcho story. Yes, I throw a mean tomato, and not like a girl! LOL I thoroughly enjoy your diary postings, great sense of humor there! You have a keen eye for those little events which occur everyday and most ignore, a must have for engaging writing. Keep it up, I look forward to it!

Loungelizard told me to check you out. Glad I did! Take care.
from ananke :
Did you know that you listed Steely Dan twice?? Just thought ya might want to know...not that theres anything wrong with liking them that much....Dans music is pretty damn good. Yup.
from loungelizard :
Hey roadiepig! Do you know every time you leave your page address in my guestbook it says DAIRYland instead of DIARYland!! Don't feel bad, I do it all the time too!! But I thought you oughta know...see ya pal! ~Loungelizard
