from sarafem :
hey roxy, i have missed your diary. are you even around to get this? i wanted to let you know that sarafem is now closed and i'm at sarafemandtequila.com. Hope you are well and would love to know what you're up to...
from grngrl75 :
Here's the other... http://nonexistant.journalspace.com/
from grngrl75 :
Here's one: hopefully you get this! Also I hope you don't think badly of me after reading either of these. http://www.livejournal.com/users/glutton75/
from snotgirl :
where are you?
from starlight42 :
that's funny, his therapist banned him from watching the RNC!!
from grngrl75 :
Glad to see you back, I've missed reading. Hope everything is going well and if you start a new diary, please send me the url:) Hugs!
from clrmehppygrl :
Remember I live in "Bush Country" aka, Florida. People are very aggressive here about what they feel. I even saw a "Boycott France" sticker on a van yesterday and was shaking my head, the man gave me the evil eye and cut me off. I don't put a whole lot past Bush-supporters.
from starlight42 :
That sucks when friendships suffer because of one person who's not making the effort or whatever. That stuff should not still be in your garage. I'd be annoyed too!
from starlight42 :
Congrats on all the weight loss!! How wonderful. Have a nice weekend.
from ikss :
How exciting! Congrats on the big decision and good luck!
from oladybug0 :
Thanks for the note re the new diary look. It's fun. Quite the departure from the really dark one. Wooden rollercoasters!?! I didn't even know there was such a thing. This is coming from a girl who thinks that the metal ones are terrifying though (although I do like to go on them). I visited your photoblog. I like the coffee pictures.
from evolver :
re: the French referrals: yes! There is one site I keep getting hits from directly, but I can't see that it actually links me on the page anywhere, and I don't even know what the page is about, as it's in French. Tres strange. I wonder why this is going around? In any case, have fun on your trip when you go!!
from oladybug0 :
I love the song vacation by the Go Go's. I have a mini trampoline and they are an awesome band to jump to. Also, good fodder for karaoke.
from starlight42 :
There does seem to be some music that is made for the summertime- like Will Smith's song- "Summertime"...anyway, I like all kinds of music for all kinds of moods. There's some music I only listen to when I go to bed or as background music at the office, I'd never listen to it in my car driving...maybe it's me.
from grngrl75 :
Thanks for the advice hon! I'm taking it to the vet so the back foot can be looked at tomorrow. I put flyers up and put an ad in the paper so hopefully the owner will call and I wont have to worry about it anymore! Otherwise we will take it, get its shots and tests and probably keep it as an inside cat. I think its just too much trauma for my cat:( Thanks!
from epiphany :
And why can't that same learning work during "Take your son or daughter to work day" held in the summer?
from starlight42 :
hope you feel better!!
from clrmehppygrl :
Have you been listening? What do you think? Isn't it GREAT!?!?
from golfwidow :
Yeah, we live in West Haven.
from lauracv :
Yes we did. And we crossed it anyway. I won't say it didn't bother me. And I am all about fighting for causes. But at the time all I could think was every story has 2 sides, and I don't have the slightest idea what the grievances are on either side. Maybe it was the wrong decision. Believe me plenty of bad things were yelled at us on our way in and out. As an aside I have almost lived my entire life in Texas. We are an "at will" state and there is little to no union activity here. So I was caught a bit off guard.
from starlight42 :
That's interesting, I didn't know the Northwest was highly populated with Catholics, makes sense now though, since there are a lot here! But ya, there are a lot of different religions and cultures! They almost need to teach you about all of them in school.
from starlight42 :
well, I guess I'd just expect most people to know OF Ash Wednesday. I know most people won't know what it's about. But I just find it funny, because at least where i live, there are people walking around with ashes on their heads & I just wonder what this lady thinks when she see's this. Like, hasn't she ever wondered about it before- why there are these smudges on these people's heads? You know what I mean? A lot of Catholics do take Lent very seriously, I'm not really one of them though. I guess it's just hard for me to understand how she's just so unaware. Then again, this is coming from me, who went to Catholic school and there's a high population of Catholic's in this state (I don't know if there's a difference in what state you're from as to what religions are popular there.). Maybe it's just me!
from theghostgirl :
I know what you mean about religion. If you live life as if real life begins after death, you're not going to live your life very fully! As for finding religion, it always reminds me of the button that says "I found Jesus! He was behind the sofa cushion the whole time."
from epiphany :
Yeah, I know about the Heinz thing. But that still doesn't negate the fact that Dean's campaign raised much more money than Kerry's or that Kerry had to mortgage his house to stay in the race. Kerry couldn't take any more than $1000 from his wife.
from starlight42 :
that's funny about your moms Grammy theory! Oh- and that link you have posted doesn't work :(
from yburuby :
i did your list with bolds and everything. so if you're bored... :)
from starlight42 :
you know, someone recommended that movie to me a couple of weeks ago...I was going to rent it, but haven't yet...so it's that bad huh?
from ikss :
Oh and super congrats on the new job!!!!! :)
from starlight42 :
thanks for the note. Ya, mom's are something else! Oh- I meant to tell you the other day that I also love Margaret Cho. People are so stupid! I hope she doesn't let them get her down. I wish I could catch her on tv more, I LOVED her old show, I was disappointed when it was canceled.
from starlight42 :
That's so funny, I posted lyrics today & was saying how a song can become a part of you, as you know it so well & begin to associate it with a time in your life.
from starlight42 :
thanks for your notes, I appreciate it. That Bette cd is good, really the only of hers I like. Sorry to hear about your dad lecturing you, I know that sucks. Hey- all you can do is your best & you're doing that!
from starlight42 :
sorry to hear about your frustration :( I hope the audition goes well & have a good thanksgiving!
from clauren :
Those brain Farts are so annoying. I have that happen once a day where I start writing and can't finish it.....
from starlight42 :
See, that is what is weird about Michael, that he is so obvios with this interactions with kids. I am curious though, what they found in his house, I mean, supposedly they found child porn & a secret room, but I don't know if that is rumor or not. I don't know, the whole thing is just strange.
from grngrl75 :
Roxy, thank you so much for your note in my diary. I really appreciate it!
from sarafem :
I'm temporarily locked. Username sara password ranger.
from starlight42 :
tweek is funny! also- I know what you mean about DL, it's too strange how people here can get so angry or pissed off at someone, and say such nasty things. I guess it's best to just remove yourself from those situations. Who needs that added stress? As if our real lives aren't stressful enough?
from evolver :
thank you for your note - you are 100% right about kucinich. in the past couple days i have allowed myself to be inspired by a politician again. there is no way i can allow myself to stand by and be cynical about the whole process while writing off a real progressive candidate. i've had fun poking around your diary, as well! :)
from raziela :
*Bows* Thanks for your note! ^^ *hugs* I really appreciate it. =)
from ikss :
I also just wanted to say that I'm sorry you're having these issues with other diarists. It's very sad when people can not accept your empathy, your caring and your words in the way they are intended.
from ikss :
Good point you made in your note to me, about Edwards' senate seat. I hadn't thought about that, actually.
from gwenllian :
I will cross-post this in your notes as well, but don't tell me how to deal with my anger. This is my diary. I need to vent. And you're not a therapist, so quit dispensing advice.
from clrmehppygrl :
Yes, there's a 50% chance he looses his job, but there's also a 50% chance that he won't. Sometimes, and I know it's hard, you have to look at the other side of the coin, even if, in the end, and at most instances, you get the bad side. I'm sorry to hear that these things are happening again, I know what it's like to be slapped in the face. My thoughts are with you.
from no-yes-maybe :
Thanks for signing my guestbook, sure made my day!
from no-yes-maybe :
Wow, Roxy is my nickname...hehe...I really love the purple.
from starlight42 :
I knew you'd love the cat pics :)
from oomm :
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you getting the job. I trained as an opera singer for years (I'm a soprano as well, no surprise there) but never really wanted to do it. I just like the training, I love singing with a coach and just feeling my voice get stronger. I've been offered tuition to schools and parts but I always turn them down...maybe I'm just a chicken, but the story that I stick to is that I just don't want to do it outside of practice. You've got my admiration for having the guts to follow it through!
from clauren :
Congrats on your audition...WOOOHOOO FOR YOU>
from starlight42 :
That's funny about SO and your singing. Ya, I was happily surprised with the book, I didn't know what to expect! It was such an easy read too. :)
from raziela :
Thanks for tagging at my diary! ^_^ I used CSS when creating the lines around my links. It's a bit difficult to explain it through D-land, though. *lol* =)
from snotgirl :
i think it's awesome that you are so proud of her, and i'm sure you've had more of an impact on her than you will ever know. xo.
from snotgirl :
how much weight have you guys lost, just out of curiousity? i recently lost 55 pounds...
from starlight42 :
good luck, hope you hear back about the job!!
from ms-m :
Guest Books bite the biscuit! How are ya lady?!
from clauren :
Thanks for my note. I appreciate it bunches.
from clauren :
I am glad that you are feeling better. Don't think that way about your weight coming back. Think of it it this way, it might stay off.
from clauren :
Same thing here about the zolof blimp....Serious...I am so glad I am not the only one.
from rumblelizard :
Thanks for the link! Krugman is a god.
from snotgirl :
thank you very, very much.
from starlight42 :
thanks for signing my guestmap!! don't worry about your diary, there's probably not much someone could use against you, nothing serious anyway. I mean, we all take that risk of someone finding it, someone we might be complaining about...oh well. I think you try to be diplomatic though.
from macdiva :
thank ya very muuuuuuch!!! :o)
from clauren :
Good luck with your job hunt and interviews. That is wonderful that you are volunteering....
from clauren :
That is strange about the girl and the parents getting an attorney involve with the situation. I wouldn't talk to them anyways for that matter let alone just being a teenager....
from starlight42 :
good luck with the job interviews. I hope one works out and that you have a super cool boss! Which brings me to my thank you for your note yesterday. I really appreciate it. I can use all of the support I can get right now! Also, with you and SO fighting, I think you've come up with some good ideas on how to work on that. I try and always remember to not take my stress out on Dave, of course it still happens once and again like we all do, but I think it helps to keep it in mind :)
from clauren :
YOur diary entries are not short and vague. Give us some of that heat. We are getting lately rain on the weekends..........I would like to enjoy the pool before summer is over...
from starlight42 :
Just wanted to say hi and leave you some love.
from snotgirl :
scribble jam! atmosphere is playing and, oh man, let me tell you. i LOVE atmosphere.
from starlight42 :
I'm going to have to check out the queer eye show, you're the 2nd person that's said it's cool. I think I know what you mean about home, and I hope you find it soon!
from starlight42 :
of course, another diarist pointed out to me that being a cat, you'd have to eat the same flavor of food for many weeks or months at a time...guess there are downfalls too! What happened to your layout?
from gwenllian :
I liked your statement about women who like porn not being particularly liberated and those who don't not being prude. That needed to be said, because people seem to think in terms of black and white. Also, I just wanted to say I hope you didn't think I judged people who do like it. As far as I'm concerned, they can like it all they want. In my own relationship, I won't tolerate it, and Proofrok knows that. But I haven't, and I will not, tell anyone else what to do.
from starlight42 :
Thanks for pointing out those other diaries to me. Very interesting reading. I agree with you on the whole rape issue--society is so messed up. And I wanted to say that I wouldn't worry about the google hits. I get all sorts of hits everday, most people don't leave a note. I think they click, see its not what they wanted and then click back.
from clauren :
Congrations on your 500+ diary entries. SO proud of you and your accomplishments. 500 is a lot!!!!!
from starlight42 :
Thanks!!
from clauren :
That is true about living apart.I couldn't stand my mom until I love far away and now we are the best of friends.........That can happen and your last entry was brilliant! Great job. You are a great writer. YOU GO GIRL>
from clauren :
Rose sounds like a wonderful time and it sounds like Jack just needs some time.
from clauren :
That sounds wonderful being five minutes away from the beach.........Now that is super sweet.
from clauren :
Hey. Good luck moving.....
from clauren :
Hey. Good luck moving.....
from starlight42 :
Another diarist on vacation...hope you have a nice trip! Have some fun for me.
from clauren :
Money problems are the worst. Been there and done that and still have that trouble....AWWWWWWWWWWWWW I have sympathy pains for you!
from zero9 :
Whoo! All this attention from one little survey? Heehee. Thanks! :) Gradually reading you, too. Cheers, N.
from proofrok :
Hang on Roxy. At least there's one bit of hope to latch onto. Don't sell it short. You stay in my prayers. (Yeah. I do that on occasion.)
from proofrok :
Roxy-I wish I could tell you exactly how much I identify with your most recent entries about depression. Being depressed. You probably know from reading my diary I live with that too, and ironically lately I'm having a tougher time than usual as well, and the hospital has crossed my mind more than once. Remember though, now they tend to ask one big question before admitting you; 'are you a danger to yourself or others?' it's a very hard question because you want to say no, i wouldn't hurt a fly, and i'm too down to off myself-but if you truly felt you needed it you should say yes. i'm keeping you in my prayers, or whatever it is i do.
from starlight42 :
I HATE Tyson!! When he raped the the first girl I was in High School and wrote a scathing column about it. I can't believe he's still in the public eye. He should be raped (hope he was in prison) and then left for dead. God! Now I'm mad.
from clauren :
The hair color is pretty cool. And you are right that diarist a great writer. It is hard to lose weight without any support system. And writing about it helps, tell him that he doesn't need to be a great writer to write anything...I am a great example..hehehe. I hope you have a great day. By the way, thanks for your comment. You are so sweet!
from starlight42 :
that situation stinks. the poor kid! god, when will some people grow up, huh?
from rmsoboist :
Hey! Check out starlight42's 3rd entry for May 14...her kitty is having problems and I thought you could help. I hope SO gets one of the jobs! XOXO
from clrmehppygrl :
I'm starting a new VERY candid site... http://bloominblack.diaryland.com It's private.
from clauren :
Call you on Monday. Please, it is like a check in the mail. Side note: They always bring those bills very early but my goodness, those checks and phone calls do go by the delay side. And you are right, no matter how bad the relationship was, it is hard to move on. And kootoos to your friend.
from clauren :
I understand what you are saying. What lesson will your stepdaughter learn. SOmetimes the parent is the one that is more rude then the child. You can ignore the child (Most of them) but it is hard to ignore a parent making a fool out of him/herself. I hope Jack feels better real fast...
from neeena :
Heya. :) If I ever find a supplier of black holes I'll let you know who they are.
from clauren :
Happy 400th Diary entry. I am very proud of you and to 400th more entries. that is a big celebration..........
from sylviashadow :
Thanks for taking my psych 101 survey! Please come back and take another!-Sylviashadow ps. I Love David Sedaris too!
from clauren :
I know how you feel about being in a negative state especially when you are in between stuff. I feel the same way with getting college over with and start a nice new job and I back at home waiting until the verdict on which classes I need to get finish. Lately I have been getting a positive attitude because of my new job at cubicle island but I understand what you mean totally of waiting the how it affects you!! I hope this intermezzio goes by really fast.
from spritopias :
Thank you for taking our survey.
from clauren :
Hey. I think your new layout is so beautiful...i am so sorry that it took me awhile to tell you this. I think the new one is fab. I love it. And I know that you are not the best but I do send you good happy thoughts...Okay....I hope you had a great weekend and a good day...
from clauren :
Happy Birthday...I am so sorry that it is late.......I hope you had a good time...
from clauren :
Anything that makes your life brighter including that job is a good thing.........
from minstrelite :
thanx for stopping by my diary - no, the rings link is not working, you're right...(i'll have to do something about that)
from snotgirl :
you know what...the VM entry is the greatest ever. :) i definitely want to go see it before the end of the month. i wonder if they have the discounted theatre development tickets....... [thinks]
from clauren :
It is beginning to look better on some fronts. I do hope it gets better with everything. YOu deserve it. Merry Christmas......
from clauren :
I am sorry to hear about this latest news. That plum sucks......That is sad to hear that news.....
from clauren :
Happy one year anniversary to you too. thanks for my comment. I appreciate it. I hope that your Christmas is good.......Heres to lots of more anniversary to you....
from clauren :
I am sorry to hear about your SO not getting a job. IT is terrible about everything at your household. YOu don't deserve it at all. And it is a terrible feeling that theres no moolah in the bank. Money doesn't make the world go around but it is nice to have it.....I hope for the best of you during this holiday season.
from snotgirl :
there seems to be a lot of housing dilemmas lately. . . . . . it's an epidemic. how about we not give in to it?
from clauren :
Hey. It is nice to have 10 hours of sleep...Sweet. I do hope that that SO gets the promotion....oh And by the way, you didn't steal those quizzes, they are there for sharing. And it is 100% true, you are cheer bear....
from roxyelliot :
It smacks you hard, and doesn't stop. You'll find another place, and trust me you'll remember why you came. Does the school have any resources to help students find housing?
from snotgirl :
yea. we all have nightmares. but i didn't move 1300 miles from home to have to find a place in a week. i didn't spend 5000 dollars to look at the opportunity of going back to florida. for a second i forgot why i even wanted to come here. i'm the only one awake in this building now, but up until about a half hour ago, these stupid kids in the building were wrecking the place. what fucking idiots. they made the entire student body that lives here look like imbecils. they've written in the elevator. not just a little scribbling like in bathroom stalls. no. big huge letters in permanent markers. just to show their immaturity. they kicked a hole in one of the walls on my floor. they've been harassing the security guard and throwing shit out of windows. did i mention i live right by the 84th precinct police station? quite frankly. i can't sleep. i don't trust the people in the building, and i don't know where i'm going to live. not to have a woe-is-me session, but things pretty much suck right now. thanks for listening. xoxo.
from snotgirl :
i have no idea what's going on. i have to go look at the other EHS building in manhattan. they aren't as nice as our apartments though. i'm completely broken hearted. i expended so many efforts just to get here. and just as i begin to take a breath, i realize i have no more oxygen.
from snotgirl :
sure...for the time being, i only have my florida cell phone. i'm going to email you the number. i'd love to meet up somewhere in brooklyn, just so i can get familiar with the area. you name the place, and i'll be there. :)
from proofrok :
Just got my CS for the month...phew, now I feel bad. It's not the fliptop head soprano. Jenneye, who wrote the articles, is a lovely, sweet, intelligent woman, fine singer and good conversationalist. I'll have to compliment her next time I see her. Thanks for giving me the heads up!
from proofrok :
Re: Your note...how FUNNY! If it's the person I think it is-Dutchman is the first Opera I did with AOC and the chorus in that opera doesn't sing mixed much-then it's hilarious that she'd get an article published in that mag, which I just re-subscribed to...I think it's this portly soprano with curly hair who sings like a Pez doll with it's head unclasped. How she doesn't have a rollicking case of TMJ by now I don't know. She's apparently very sweet, but her vocal 'method' is so visually distracting that the chorusmaster has actually asked her to do something about it before. Seriously, if it's who I think it is she looks like a muppet. Thanks for the tip.
from clauren :
Hey, I hope everything turns out good.....Thanks for you comments. I appreciate it a bunch. Here is a little early wish for you. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.......
from nypdpooh :
I'm so sorry to hear about whats been going on - its diffuclt to work through things like this - especially when living situations are involved - ESPECIALLY in NY (I lived in Brooklyn for a year - and Manhattan for a year before that...). I'm rooting for ya...
from clauren :
Sorry to hear about your sadness. I hope whatever happens, I wish for a lot of happiness. You deserve it. YOu are so sweet!!!!!
from clauren :
Hey. What I do when me and a few college friends of mine did for Christmas when we have little or zero money.....We still want to get something to each other so we wait until after Christmas and get all the good deals and then we give each other gift on New Years EVe and that way we got each other something and it will be cheap....Why do it before when there are good sales?
from clauren :
I am sorry that you had a bad audition...That stinks. Even though you think that the audition didn't go so well, still hearing the bad stuff hurts a bunch. I hope everything goes well with you.....By the way...Love the new layout...It is beautiful and your two cats are gorgeous....
from katehackett :
Yay. Just yay. I'm a 17 year old singer & am in AWE that you're getting to live your dream. Rock on.
from snotgirl :
i'm here if YOU need anything. i don't have a very big place, but by all means, you can come stay in my apartment whenever if you wanted to continue lessons..............my thoughts are with you, and i always have an ear. <3.
from snotgirl :
atmosphere is the best thing about new york in my opinion. actually, i have my rent paid until may 23rd, and then i'll have to find another place to live. my mom decided that since i'm moving into university housing [it's not dorms, but like apartments full of students. so not looking forward to that aspect, but it's a stepping stone.], she's going to pay all but my 1000 dollar move in early fee. she paid the 3950 for the semester. i'll still have, like, 5000+ in the bank when i move. i feel bad for accepting my mom's money, because i've never really depended on things from here. she's always been a bit more of a chaotic figure in my life rather than a mom. [if that makes sense.] i love my mom more than anything, and i have this AMAZING respect for her, but it was getting to the point that i was losing apartments because of her. she called the person in the village and pretended to be me and said i didn't need the space anymore. i guess she doesn't want to worry about me living in "unsafe" places, so she pushed the university housing thing. it's really not all bad, but for some reason, i'm not keen on being surrounded by a bunch of kids. at least i have my own room and only have to share a kitchen. who knows. maybe i will totally love it. how far am i from park slope? <333.
from snotgirl :
hah hah. awesome. i can't wait to write in the parks...if i go up to the top of my roof, i have a view of the brooklyn bridge. i sat up there for a while, and i was totally overwhelmed. it's nice. i've been working towards new york for over a year now, and there's this amazing sense of "oh my god. i did it." that i am bathing in. i can't wait to be another fabulous brooklyn feminist. :) <333.
from snotgirl :
also by fort greene park and long island university, so i might live in fort greene brooklyn. do i sound confused? :) <3.
from snotgirl :
by cadman plaza! heh. very pretty park that is there. i don't really know much about brooklyn. i need to study up. my move in date is december 4th. one thing i really like about brooklyn is this. everyone that lives there loves it.
from snotgirl :
i think it's considered brooklyn heights, but i'm really not sure. it's right on tillary [200 tillary street]. the dekalb avenue stop off of the Q train. flatbush area....doesn't that make it brooklyn heights? hah.
from snotgirl :
i get there on saturday at 10 a.m. i leave monday night at 6:45. sunday would be a better day to make some sort of plans, because i have the appointments on monday during the day. let's see. i can't make anything for sure definite now, but i can certainly give you a call. just to let you know, sometimes, i talk ridiculously fast. so tell me to breathe. hah. i'll either be nervous or excited. maybe both. just a warning. :)
from snotgirl :
i put it in my cell. if i find any spare time this weekend, do you think you'll have any to spare as well?
from snotgirl :
you know...i'm so glad you left me the first note you left me. not only was it very nice, but i think it'll be very pleasant to know someone like you when i get to the city. you will be the FIRST person i tell when i get a definite place to stay. i will also give you my address and phone number. that way, between our busy schedules of course, we can get together sometime. thank you so much. -shandanette.
from snotgirl :
//life went on hiatus. :) better now. still working towards new york. looking at student housing in brooklyn. i have to work everything out housing wise, to where if shit hits the fan, i don't end up in florida. i think you are the greatest. xoxo.
from bipolargirl :
thanks for your note, and thanks for your concern. i am doing ok now, and i'm glad that i'm home now
from snotgirl :
no, i haven't seen the apartment, but i don't really care. i'm being very fly by the seat of my pants. :) it's cheap though, so i'm not expecting the set of friends. there are 2 other people living there, but i do get my own room. i think at this point i just need friends. let's hope that when i get up there, i make some and don't need anything else. thank you though. that made me "awww" at my computer. i can't wait to meet for coffee. :)
from snotgirl :
//november 2nd is my move in date. i'll be living on 1st avenue and 1st street. i'm so so so happy. xoxo. <3333.
from snotgirl :
//i got the feminist symbols tattooed on the insides of my wrists today, and i thought i might share that with you. <3 your semi-neighbor in 3 weeks. heh. woo!
from snotgirl :
//i'm sending my well wishes for tomorrow. and assuming everything goes well and you can get houses in both places, want someone to hold down fort in brooklyn? just kidding. :) have a great night, miss roxy!!
from snotgirl :
improvement is always good, as well as support. you have been a huge help to me, so i think we both can share a label of sweet. :)
from snotgirl :
my wishes are with you. i'm sure you'd much rather stay there for more practical reasons, but i'm looking forward to knowing someone in the next borough over. let me know if there is something i can do to help...
from snotgirl :
what about subleasing the place? or something to that effect...
from snotgirl :
i think i am actually just going to go for university housing or look for someone that is renting out a room. you've been a huge help. maybe we can go for coffee sometime when i am up there.
from snotgirl :
i heard it was only 10 minutes from the village too. i have quite a bit of money saved up. i just want that to go a long way. thank you again. :)
from snotgirl :
what are your feelings on williamsburg brooklyn? :) thank you by the way. for answering my questions.
from snotgirl :
i've actually heard of both. i'm going to look into certain areas in brooklyn, and park slope is on my list. i think for the time being though, manhattan is where i'll be. and i hate to be a pest with so many questions, but i have one other. how long is it from park slope to midtown by train? thanks. xoxo. <3.
from snotgirl :
i'm going to go to bmcc i guess, because they offer a writing and literature program, and it's cheap! :) what neighborhood in brooklyn are you in again? [maybe you never told me, but i feel that you did...]
from snotgirl :
i did have a great time. thank you for asking. i'm just sad that i am back home. i started packing last night though...getting all of my stuff ready to go. i need to get my classes registered for and find out my start date for school, and then i'm moving up there. yaaay. i hope you have a great day. <3 xoxo.
from snotgirl :
i am hoping for october. i have physical therapy from a car accident i was involved in [not my fault though...], so i cannot move until i am allllll better. but i'm thinking october/november-ish. if i find myself in brooklyn over the weekend, i will be sure to leave a note before so. i'll have my laptop with me, so drop me an email if you wish. [email protected] <3. xoxo. :)

THe good thing (which is why I love the membership) is you can see if anybody have use google search engine and what they use to find it. It is so hilarious.....
from snotgirl :
i'm flying up there on sept 14th. le tigre is playing on the 16th [my birthday], and they're my favorite still together band. so it's a nice way to spend a birthday. anyhow, nothing is ruled out really. i just found a good housing situation in manhattan. maybe you're psychic, and i'll become a brooklyn feminist... :)
from snotgirl :
wow...umm...thank you so much! you made me blush really hard. i think my face is stained red now. my name is shandanette. the comment in yr profile says that i am a brooklyn feminist. actually, i'm getting ready to move up to manhattan. i'm in florida now. i am a feminist and a half, so that part is correct. i was originally going to move to brooklyn, but i had a change of heart and decided to avoid the commute. so i ask you this, when i get up there, will you PLEASE be my friend? i don't know anyone, and i'll be 1300 miles away from where i know home. my head is still spinning from your compliment, and i feel kind of silly for sounding desperate. i like to laugh a lot. i'm easy to get along with. i'll try and sell myself later when i'm not so tired, and it's not so almost 4 a.m. again, i cannot tell you what that compliment meant to me...[aim: i am a snot girl] thank you.

Girl, you must give me tips on how to deal with congestion. It's messing up my voice. I'm hopelessly amateur and it would be nice to know how the pros do it. Thank you.
