Yikes, I, too, tried to give up caffeine one day. By 4:00pm I was practically foaming at the mouth. I decided it wasn't worth it and made a big pot of coffee.
I also had a similar experience when I tried to give up cigarettes, which I managed to do for a month, but then I started working at Chili's again.

Hey Tina-- remember your old bookselling buddy? I just happened to catch up on your diary- I'm glad to hear that you're happy in RO!
I have a class with a girl this semester who looks exactly like you (I think it's the nose/eyes/mouth) it's very strange.
I'm going to be moving back to my mom's come february, but perhaps we could catch up via email before then. If you feel like writing, my address is: jenfactor@aol.com
Hope you're doing well!

Modest Mouse beat out Radiohead a long time ago for me. But Beck rules over all.. . I havent been able to like anyone better than Beck for 7 or 8 years now. But Modest Mouse. . . sigh. . . so great. I'm Erin.

heh, dont feel bad about being 35 by the time you graduate...Im 32, have about 39 credit hrs (after this summer) under my belt, *and* I'm planning on going to grad school for 5-8 years once I get my bachelors...I think I'll be in the old folks home before I have a career :P

Yeah, the Jim Nawara thing was both bizarre and funny, though it all worked out okay in the end. I'm still getting used to Wayne, but I've been having a lot of fun in the anthropology department, so I think it will work out okay. Anyhow, thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy living in Chicago :-)

thanks for the note :-)
I read in your diary that you're living in Chicago now. How are you liking it there? My fiancee and I want to move back there once the economy improves a bit...

I just happened to stumble onto your diary while in one of my all too frequent bouts of insomnia. I found what you had to say about Wayne to be pretty interesting. I actually just got accepted there but have had much angst about going there due to some rather enormous problems I've had dealing with the administration, so I found a lot of your thoughts about the school to be particularly insightful. Anyhow, I enjoyed reading your diary and will be back.

Hi Tina! Yes, receiving a note was definintely more exciting than email! Ok, the verdict is in: we are losers. Anyway, thank you soooo much for asking about the job so quickly. It'll be so much fun to work together again if I get it. If they could squeeze me in before may, that would be nice too... but I'll take what I can. Are they ok with me wanting as many hours as possible? Ok, enough chatter for now. Talk to you soon! Love, Jen

Hey, I was going to do NaNoWriMo as well, but looking for a job and looking for a place to live put paid to that thought. I like your writing, and you have great taste in music. Drop me a line sometime.

Hey Tina! Glad to read your new entry :) So, two things: 1. I can't believe you wrote about Eric Wier and Matt in your entry, because I went to high school with those boys and they are not friendly. At all. And whatever, I am my own detroit indie rock fan club. And you are welcome to be in it.
2. Your idea for ticketmaster giving a quiz on the band before they let you buy tickets is BRILLIANT! I suggest you try selling this idea to ticketmaster!
Love you! jen
