may i have the password???
from my5cents :
interesting....guess I need to think this one over.
from my5cents :
What a great list of can dos you did this year. I can only hope that 2009 is equally as wonderful and life changing for you. Maintaining 100 lbs weight loss is a big deal....I hope by this time next year, I can say that I lost weight and maintained it. That is going to be my goal....losing weight and eating more healthy...it's time and I am ready.....again!!!!
from my5cents :
Gee, thanks for sharing! LOL. I wish I could say we were working on that same goal but not so much. These days we are both just happy to go to sleep.....that's can happen when you get older. Enjoy it while you still can and still want to. How's THAT for sharing?
from my5cents :
Glad you posted and on my birthday too! Whoo-hoo! I think the fact that you are aware that you might be a teeny bit selfish about the house and the house rules and the tree and all is a good sign. Seeing a therapist is a great idea and I hope it helps you to let go of some of the control you need at home. Glad to hear that you are enjoying this month of celebration and I hope you two have a lovely holiday...however you celebrate it.
from my5cents :
ok, my previous comment probably didn't make any sense. I meant when information is running across the screen when a program is also on the air....you know what I mean.... Besides...if it is being printed, why don't they use a spellchecker to catch the most obvious errors...like in our local newspaper...OMG, the errors are terrible...and I have even seen them in books....
from my5cents :
I can certainly understand why this drives you bonkers. I hate the misspelling on TV when they are running something under the commentator....that drives me crazy. Of course, I have been known to get my spelling mixed up from time to time but I don't appear in public or on TV
from my5cents :
So you moved while I was gone on vacation. We helped a BIL pack, move and unpack in Colorado. I know just what you went through. Sounds like you are both enjoying your new home. And hope you are having fun in all the rooms too!
from my5cents :
For me....it would be not coming home for Thanksgiving.....with the world in the situation it is in now, I think families should try to spend as much time together as possible.
from my5cents :
You have a right to feel proud of yourself...well done! I have to admit that I would not have had the nerve to do the jello wrestling but I would have loved doing the grant proposal. Go, Girl!!!!!
from my5cents :
OF COURSE, it is ok. You have lost 120 freaking lbs, girl! That's nearly half your body weight and a huge amount to be proud of. If you like how you look, you can find cute clothes on sale and everything is looking up....let yourself be proud and happy with what you have done. It was a lot of hard work and you did it!!!!!
from my5cents :
Good luck on the appliances. I think Consumer Reports probably have the most honest reviews. Whatever you choose, you will probably second guess yourself later....and ask for a discount if you buy all the appliances at the same place....
from my5cents :
I heard about the mayor....wish some of the people in our area could join him.
from my5cents :
Buying your first house can be such a scary thing to do but once you are in it; you will be so happy. It may take you some time to get everything sorted out but it will be ok. I am thinking that you might be able to refinance in a few years after your credit has been built back up because of making all the payments on time and so on. Don't let what you went through in the past spoil this new adventure. You are going to love being a home owner and you will be creating lots of great new memories that will help erase the past.
from dragprincess :
mazel tov!
from my5cents :
wonder if your body is making changes now that you have lost so much weight...and maybe your period is due....I used to be starving that time of the month
from teacher-dyke :
i am SO with you on the onepinksock item! :)
from my5cents :
it sounds like G. outweighed B. Hope you have a great weekend. Wear the pink sundress!
from my5cents :
I hope a claim was filed against the bus company. Hope you are ok as well.
from my5cents :
have you had any dreams where you have a closet full of gorgeous clothes but you wake up before you can try them on? I used to have that dream when I had lost a lot of weight a few years ago....
from my5cents :
Ok, I'm tired. What a busy day you had and you wore a nice dress to do it all....
from my5cents :
mine does too!
from my5cents :
I enjoyed your list of things you like. It wasn't like the usual run of the mill things. I do the Homescan and it really doesn't take all that much time. Getting used to it only takes a couple of times. I can scan in several bags of groceries in about 10 minutes. I don't shop a lot though so I don't have many shopping trips to report.
from my5cents :
Oooh, that house was really cute. I thought the bathrooms were particularly nice. Sorry you had a bad interview but I guess at least you got to see what kind of place it would have been to work in. Good luck with securing a pre-approval on a mortage...this is probably a great time to buy a house since the market is so soft for sales.
from my5cents :
I am enjoying reading how happy you are these days...it makes me smile. I hope the job interview went well. And I hope you enjoyed Chicago too
from my5cents :
Nice to get the stress of the tickets behind you even though you had to pay the fines. Sounds like you and JT are doing so well. I hope you enjoyed the pool party....
from my5cents :
that's no way to get ready for Chicago. I hope the Windy City makes up for the suckiness of the doctor's diagnoses....
from my5cents :
When I lost weight way back, I lost my padding around my tailbone. Boy, did it ache to sit for any length of time. Even though I have regained weight; my tailbone never got the padding back and it still hurts when I sit for long periods of time. Try a cushion...no...you don't have to use the donut that hemmoroid suffers use but it does feel much better if you can sit on a pillow....
from my5cents :
This blog made me smile. I wish you very good luck with the job interview. It is wonderful when you are content with your current job but someone thinks you could do better with a promotion. Hope the cramps subside, you find the perfect outfit to wear and you do well. Also was great that you made your Dad happy on his special day.....
from my5cents :
Maybe they don't look at your face? LOL....bet you were embarrassed though
from my5cents :
that's a lot of stuff to get done in just one weekend. No wonder you were feeling fuzzy! Hope you enjoy the wedding.
from my5cents :
I got 1 new bra at Kohl's this week too. I agree, they have sales every week and then send me $10 off coupons if I will buy more...oh my!
from my5cents :
Yes, I like quanity rather than quality of food myself. I find when I give something up and then have it a few months later, I really notice the flavor and texture much more. Of course, then eating it again on a regular basis puts me right back into the quanity mode
from my5cents :
Or...it could be that because you are wearing clothes that are smaller that you don't blend into the background as much as you did before and she just noticed your body instead of just your face. Take it as a compliment that she was looking AT you.
from my5cents :
wonder if losing weight allowed your spine to expand! Great news as most of us lose inches as we age.
from my5cents :
I do understand that the lady cop is being "pushed" to make a quota...my husband used to get that years ago. I imagine when you go to court, they will dismiss the failure to have your license w/you and the change of address thing...not too sure about the speed...may depend how far over you were going. a least it is a wake up call to be sure you have your id with you. Maybe the second cop was being pushed to write tickets too. Be careful out there.
from my5cents :
It sounds like you had a great day. Hope your toosties come out fabulous.
from my5cents :
congrats on finding your girly parts again. And maybe your blood pressure is messed up or your thyroid. Yes, you probably should see the doctor....losing all that weight can make huge changes in your body chemistry. Good luck..
from my5cents :
Can you return it to Ebay? or if not, take it to work and put it in the men's room. I doubt the men would notice it at all. LOL
from my5cents :
or how about chewing them up in a bowl of granola! I was going to suggest just swallowing them too.
from onepinksock :
what happens if you don't chew a chewable vitamin? if you swallow all that chalky goodness?
from my5cents :
hope you are not starting to get migraines related to your menstration cycle. I had those for years. They suck!
from my5cents :
that's a great picture of you two...of course, we can't see your FACES!!!!!! But the smiles say it all! Happy Birthday JT
from my5cents :
Whoa...that family sounds really....interesting...but if you like it, that is all that matters. I imagine a lot of laughing goes on in that household too.
from my5cents :
sometimes you go through the bad times just to realize how good the good times really are.
from my5cents :
so "that's" why the lady almost hit my car today in the parking lot when she tried to use my parking space for her own....my car was invisible....Now I understand! I think you sound so happy and content. Isn't it wonderful that you two found each other. It sounds like a good thing for both of you. Have fun on your day off work.
from my5cents :
Too bad you couldn't transfer her to the Children's section for someone else to talk with.
from my5cents :
Thanks for the book suggestion. I am going to look for that one.
from onepinksock :
thank you. i'm sure i'll update later if she ever writes me back.
from my5cents :
The "friend" who didn't invite you to be in her wedding because she only wants people she will be friends with in later life...is a jerk! I wonder if her marriage will even last with that type of attitude. So, consider yourself lucky you don't have to pay for a bridesmaid dress and go on. Hope the sweetness comes back tomorrow. So how did the therapist forget you, doesn't she have someone who keeps track of her appointments?
from my5cents :
What a special party and so clever using 120 as the theme. You look very happy. Wasn't it fantastic to find all those new clothes on sale too? Congratulations again!
from onepinksock :
yay for you and 120 and a surprise party!
from my5cents :
That really is a very impressive list and so much to be proud of. I understand that you are still struggling with getting used to the new YOU but isn't it great to be on this side of the struggle instead of where you were a year ago. Congratuslations on a very good job....
from janetplnetoc :
Im a joey-less kangaroo too!!! And my arms! If I flap my arms I could fly, I have wings.
from my5cents :
I wonder what your therapist will think about losing 30 more lbs. Maybe if you can tone up and tighten up some of the skin; you will feel more settled. Do you have plans to have the excess skin removed in the future? I bet that would take off significant weight and go a long way towards helping you adjust to your new body. Congrats on the surgiversary...you have really worked hard to get to where you are now.
from my5cents :
I enjoyed your random confessions...hope your brother will be ok, though.
from my5cents :
of course, I meant one YEAR....:"snicker::
from my5cents :
Congratulations on your up-coming 1 hr anniversary. That discussion support group sounds like a great idea. You sure wouldn't want to gain back what you worked so far to lose.
from stellarose :
you look awesome! congratulations!
from my5cents :
You look wonderful and even better, you look so happy! I loved the dress and the red shirt and all of it. Enjoy your new life...Are you planning on a swimsuit this summer? That will be the ultimate test.... LOL
from kanyooceemee :
wow!
from dragprincess :
OMG - is that YOU??? You look amazing - totally different from the last pics posted. Ok, I'm re-inspired to work through my hunger with an unfilled band and know that someday, I'll be there too!!!
from my5cents :
It must have felt amazing to know your own parents didn't recognize you at the airport. And what fun to try on and be able to buy shoes and dresses in a fashionable size. Yey for you! As for Andrea, I guess that kind of threw you back into the past and what was...when it was good. Just remember how much happier you are now and who you have in your life. And remember the bad stuff that happened with Andrea....she didn't make you feel very good in the end.
from my5cents :
Lots of people seem to sabotage themselves because they don't think they are worthy of happiness. Not to be preachy but have you ever read Simple Abundance? I got a copy for a Christmas gift and it is really interesting just to read each essay (one per each day of the year)....I already found lots of truth in a few words each day. Try to find it at your library...you might like it. And I can fully understand your newfound joy in wearing slinky clothes..you have worked for it so you should enjoy it....
from my5cents :
my husband has been eating applesauce with cottage cheese for years. Lots of new food groups to test for you now.
from my5cents :
Just read that one way to "train" your brain to realize how small you are is to trade clothes with someone you think is thinner than you and then stand in front of the mirror seeing yourself in their clothing...might be worth a try. Congratulations on looking yourself over in the mirrow....not always an easy thing to do.
from my5cents :
Whoops on the brother thing....I wouldn't make a good male...I'd be telling her if the ring isn't good enough that she picked out...neither am I! Hope the hives get under control. Have you tried changing your shampoo? Maybe it is too strong right now for your scalp....
from my5cents :
So you let yourself get away from the good things to do....you have plenty of time and smarts to get back on the wagon and I know you will do just fine. Forgive yourself for the jump off the wagon and remember how good it feels to lose the weight.
from janetplnetoc :
just wrapping up my 5th year post surgery with a 40-45 pound weight loss (depends on the day, you know us wimmen). There is no peak weight loss period. Just live life. Like everything in life, you will have ups and downs. Enjoy the ride, it's pretty fucking amazing when you sit back in the seat, and really feel it, let the air pull your lips back, feel the spiders crawling in your stomach and your hair tickle your cheek. Whether the ride is long or short, too many ups or too many downs, we always want to get back in line and ride again.
from dragprincess :
darling girl - i so totally get you. it's hard to say ENOUGH. it's hard to say I DESERVE THIS WEIGHT LOSS. Glad you're in therapy - keep talking about the self-sabotage...time to figure out WHY.
from my5cents :
Isn't it great that the difference between last year and this is so much better. You are in a happy place and I hope you continue to enjoy each and every day. Happy New Year
from my5cents :
Feeling like you do is easy to explain..you had a great time in Chicago, you forgot to take your meds and your period is here....you will be just fine in a few days. I promise!
from my5cents :
Oh, wouldn't a carriage ride in the snow be beautiful? As for the hip bones sticking out, I remember when I lost enough weight for that to happen....loved it! But it made sleeping on my stomach uncomfortable!
from my5cents :
very cute gifts, you are lucky. Enjoy the rest of your special days.
from onepinksock :
pretty fuckin' cute!
from my5cents :
Glad you enjoyed the reunion. They get stranger as time goes by. Soon you wonder what you have in common with lots of the old 'gang'. We don't go to ours anymore....our friends from those days are still friends....and the rest of them don't have much meaning to us anymore.
from my5cents :
Your plans for the holiday sounded great. So nice that you included the Coach. I am sure it made the day special for you both.
from onepinksock :
always wear pants to a reunion. always.
from my5cents :
Good to hear that you are feeling better....that trip to Chicago should be great...all the Christmas decor will be up and so many wonderful places to go. Marshall Fields famous Christmas windows are no longer since Macy's took over the name of the store....but...still....lots of great things to see
from my5cents :
I know you will get back into your regular schedule before long. Sorry about your brother...what was their reason for firing him?
from my5cents :
So sorry, I hope you get over it very soon. Follow the dr's instructions and take good care of yourself....so....who had mono and gave it to you?
from my5cents :
You may just win the prize at your high school reunion as the most changed person ever! Can't wait to see pictures...I am sure you will look awesome.
from my5cents :
Congrats on the 25 lb weigh loss. You are doing very well...pictures please! You sound very happy and if what you are doing is working out for you and letting you be happy, then it must be the right thing for you.
from noaddedme :
thank you for filling in the blanks :) It really is helping me!
from my5cents :
100 best wishes on losing 100 lbs. That is a huge (no pun intended) accomplishment. You have 100 reasons to be very proud.
from kanyooceemee :
short but accurate.
from dragprincess :
A+ essay. Now give Ms. Vajayjay a rest.
from onepinksock :
congrats on the hundred!
from my5cents :
now that you are living a different life, you will probably find that what you did in the past that you thought was really fun ....wasn't and you will find other ways to enjoy your new life. Enjoy
from sosuga :
but boozing it up, smoking, having casual sex...thats living the life! lol...well, maybe for some. me...heh...um...but seriously, I totally hear ya on your last entry.
from my5cents :
I think one thing about still feeling fat is that you are fitting into Large....it gives you a mental picture ...of course that is better than extra-large or double xx large. The fun part is actually fitting into the clothes off the rack.
from my5cents :
It is always fun to get something new and hope it is just what you have been wanting...same goes for a new companion. Good luck in the hunt!
from my5cents :
Happy belated fake birthday. Hope your work week goes by happily and you enjoy the routine again.
from my5cents :
That's a huge amount to get accomplished in one day. Good for you!
from dragprincess :
Happy new year, kitten.
from my5cents :
Both your entries showed up. You sound so happy and content. How cool is it that you only want to lose 50 more lbs? Have fun buying new winter clothes and enjoying your new apt. It sounds like you are really settling into your own new body very well.
from teacher-dyke :
you look AMAZING!
from my5cents :
congratulations on your new place! I bet you can't wait to move in and arrange all your stuff. And loved the dress! So pretty and bare....you must have felt wonderful wearing that outfit. Have a ball....
from my5cents :
I bet you just feel wonderful wearing those new and yet smaller sized slacks.... my sister had problems with her iron count too after her stomach stapling surgery. She takes lots of supplements
from my5cents :
Good luck with the new apt. I hope you hear from them and can get a place very soon. Nice that you have met someone to spend time with too. And to make it even better, you need to buy clothes in a new size! congratulations!!!
from my5cents :
sure hope you can get settled back into a space that you are stressfree and peaceful in, probably will help with the better eating plan too.
from dragprincess :
That's right. Set the non-negotiables and stick with them. Say who you want - make space for them in your life - and accept them when they show up. I did that, met SNG, and she's exactly who I wanted.
from my5cents :
Don't beat yourself up too much on the lower weight loss, so you splurged a little bit in SF and didn't drink enough water. You will get back on track and be losing again - don't worry
from noaddedme :
Ditto what Abbster said ... don't screw up your credit with this. She may never learn, but it's not your job to teach her. You get to come first here!
from dragprincess :
all laughing about my fav "Family Guy" aside, who's name is on the lease? you may be able to get her name off there if it is. talk to a housing lawyer. you do NOT want an eviction mark on your credit.
from my5cents :
Your trip to Ca. sounds great. I am glad you are resting, relaxing and enjoying the company of your friends and family. Hope the rest of your time away from home is equally as refreshing for you.
from my5cents :
There really is a significant and noticeable difference in the two most recent pictures. You have plenty to be proud of...keep up the good work.
from teacher-dyke :
Wow! 5 months and you are looking FANTASTIC!
from janetplnetoc :
Amazing awesome! Party on Wayne! Don't you feel like a different person on the inside too? It's eerie.
from my5cents :
Losing hair can be scary....I remember after I gave birth that I lost so much hair....but it is ok now. Hope you are doing well and will be able to go home soon to some peace.
from my5cents :
has she given you any idea when she will leave your place....? Hope the plan to stay at Mom's works for you for a few more days..
from my5cents :
Going home to be with your mother will, hopefully, give you some strength and peace.
from my5cents :
I hope you can get the house to yourself so you can concentrate on yourself. Do you own or rent? If rent, is her name on the lease or can you just ask her to be out in 30 days? It has to hurt either way...
from my5cents :
I really liked the one...."Losing weight doesn't make your whole life different; it just makes you smaller." What a Mouthful (no pun intended) that sentence is.... I enjoyed your lists....
from dragprincess :
do you recommend the surgery?? should i go there??
from my5cents :
I imagine it was good to talk to someone who has gone through the bypass process and is on the other side. I think the hardest part must be the mental game you play in your head of still seeing and feeling fat when you are not that way anymore. Good job on cleaning out your closet....it must feel really good to see all the big baggy fat clothes are gone.
from my5cents :
sorry you are so pooped....I am sure working so many days in a row has a huge impact on how you are feeling. Hoping the massage will perk you up
from my5cents :
Congrats on 27%....that is amazing and just think of the next 14 weeks and what is in store for you! I can't blame you for looking forward to the weekend you have planned...it sounds like fun.
from miame :
woot woot! Look at you!!
from noaddedme :
awesome! my friend is having the lap band on Monday and I pray she does as well as you are!
from heidiann :
God that's such an amazing difference!! I'm super proud of you. =)
from my5cents :
Just got caught up again, (been on vacation). Sounds like lots of changes for you even more than physical. I hope the new meds and finding some type of hobby will help. You are going through a huge change in your whole life and it is no wonder that you are having some trouble getting through it all. The new picture shows a definite loss. You are doing so well.
from onepinksock :
yoga can totally be a hobby. i've been doing it once a week for a year now, and i love it. having a hot yoga teacher totally helps motivate me, but so does the benefits i've gotten from it, one of them just being aware of my own body and being. i say go for it.
from noaddedme :
A few years back I lost a lot of weight and it messed with my head as well. It really does change your perspective on yourself and the world around you. I wasn't ready for that and went back to my comfort zone. I'm currently tackling it again, but with a knowledge that while the world and people around me are changing, it's really about ME and what I want and need. Hang in there, it's just one day at a time right now!
from miame :
Hi there. I've been following your journey for awhile now. I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that watching several people who are close to me go through the surgery and weightloss that you're experiencing I've been enlightened a little. For the three that I have watched they changed alot mentally at first as their weight dropped down and down and down. My little brother actually got quite mean for awhile. Losing weight that quickly does something to the body and the brain. I don't know if you talk to a weightloss counselor or not but one may be able to shine a little light on some of the changes you may be experiencing. If you thought of breaking up with Andrea pre-surgery ok....but if it hit you sometime afterward you might be throwing away something very special. Sorry if this doesn't make much sense. I hope things get a little smoother for you soon!!!
from dragprincess :
Yowza, kiddo. Lots of changes barreling down on you. Drop me an email and let's talk....
from my5cents :
It sounds like you had a good couple of days. and better to dream of eating all that food than to actually do it....nice that you found shoes that you love and feel good too. I don't want to lose Heidi to LJ either. I hate Diaryland....I just renewed my gold membership 2 weeks ago and since then, it has sucked!!!!
from my5cents :
A big difference for sure.....keep up the great work. It is showing.
from teacher-dyke :
looking good! i can especially see it in your calves (mine are huge, so i'm slightly obsessed...and yours are looking goodly!)
from noaddedme :
you are definitely shrinking!
from dragprincess :
What a difference!
from my5cents :
being hungry may mean that you are about to drop several lbs.....good luck
from kanyooceemee :
Hope the burn has subsided. I too am a HUGE Heroes fan, what if they don't save world?
from my5cents :
Asking a stupid question entitles you to give a smart-ass answer.!! Hope the sunburn is feeling better today
from my5cents :
sorry the pickles didn't agree with you - my sister said it took her a long time to work out her foods...
from my5cents :
that poem is very appropriate....hope you are doing "lots of walking around" too.
from my5cents :
I hope trying on clothes and discarding those that are too big is making you smile every morning....
from my5cents :
Don't push too hard, you don't want to have scar tissue. 26 lbs in a few weeks in awesome. You will be losing steadily, just give yourself a break. Enjoy the process...yeah, easy for me to say, I didn't have the surgery!!
from my5cents :
I saw a big difference...good idea wearing the same outfit...it will help make the weight loss much more apparent. Just think, soon, that striped outfit will be way too big for you!!
from noaddedme :
Definitely smaller!
from dragprincess :
wow, you look totally thinner!!!!!
from dragprincess :
When do I get to see pics of you? I am so bugging my doctor about getting this done now.
from heidiann :
I think of you often and am glad you're doing well and are up and about. I'm going to email you soon with approximately 8 billion questions. Hey, it'll give you something to do between Judge Judy and naps!
from onepinksock :
i too would like some questions!
from dragprincess :
good answers. now -- what have you always secretly wanted to ask me???? gimme some more interview questions!!
from my5cents :
Visiting from Heidi's blogsite, good luck with the surgery results. I hope it turns out to be even better than you anticipated...
from dragprincess :
Interview questions. 1) You have lots of girlfriends (because you are so cute). What patterns do you notice in your relationships? 2) What song lyrics sum up your job, your relationship with your father, and winter in Michigan? 3) When you look in the mirror, what or who do you see? 4) Are you proud to be Jewish? Ashamed? Indifferent? What does it mean to you to be one of the Chosen People? Is part of your identity?
from dragprincess :
love you -- the old pre-surgery you and the new post-surgery you. can't wait to hear the details.
from dragprincess :
oh please. you think i haven't thought about putting the beat down on andrea and moving on in?
from dragprincess :
that's some heavy shit. i'm seeing someone i love very much go through this process from the other side -- she gave up a baby for adoption years ago. you got it exactly right -- all we can do is listen.
from onepinksock :
haven't gotten a hold of the new erin mckeown cd yet. i am madly in love with "birds" though many i know shrugged it off as very unlike her. oh well. i see her live in a month+ so i should get my hands on the new one. cheers.
from keening :
hey lady...i've been reading your blog for awhile now...and i have recently toyed with the idea of looking for jobs at the chicago library. i work in pittsburgh as a librarian and was just wondering if they were hiring and if i should submit my application and such. take care! keening
from dragprincess :
LOVE the tat!
from dragprincess :
Post some pics of that tat...NOW.
from janetplnetoc :
Now? Where'd ya get it? (on yer bod that is, not what tat shop...)
from dragprincess :
that was a Class A poem. loved it.
from dragprincess :
really? do you think i'm funny? am i enough of a lesbatron? i am just biding my time until you are free and single and can marry me.
from oed :
I took effexor for about 5 or 6 years - only the tiniest dose - but when I weaned off of it, I felt awful for about a month - flu-like symptoms, and worse. Then I tried wellbutrin, but I got very agitated and had 2-3 migraines a month. So I quit that after 5 months. About a year later, I asked my doc about taking prozac as it is now marketed for PMS. These days, I only take it about 5 or 6 days a month - and I'll be darned if it doesn't give me just enough lift and coping ability when I need it. And my headaches are milder, and limited to less than a day long, once a month, if that much. And the generic is about the same price as asprin. I'm all for cheap, small and infrequent doses of an anti-depressant.
from noaddedme :
do you classify the stinky poops as "big projects I'm working on" ??
from janetplnetoc :
I like equal amounts of J and PB except that the J always sloops out of the sandwich and makes a mess. Also, on the fries thing, it will be an easier resolution to keep post-3/1/07.
from noaddedme :
bwaaa ha ha ha! I so love saying ASSHATS! I say it outloud all the time. All my friends just die laughing at it, but it's one of my all time favorites. I adore "cock knocker" too.
from janetplnetoc :
I LOVE animal precinct and Animal Cops. Unfortunately, since our area switched cable providers, I don't get Animal Planet anymore.
from janetplnetoc :
March 1st is going to come faster than you can imagine. And life after surgery, it's so different, after the initial adjustment, it's just heaven, pure heaven.
from onepinksock :
monkey business! thats awesome.
from noaddedme :
I would fight for the money back and report them to the headquarters. If this is a dealership I'd think they'd be concerned. (Then again, a lot of times no one cars anymore!)
from teacher-dyke :
hmmm...it looks as though i never enabled it. it should work now!
from teacher-dyke :
i think about orgasms a lot, too. when my girlfriend has orgasms from penetration because she can't deal with clitoral stimulation (unless it's from my tongue. hehehe. and then it's all clitoral all the time.). but anyway....she ejaculates, which i think is the coolest thing ever. and i wish i could do it. now that i might have grossed you out...have a pleasant day!
from teacher-dyke :
no can do on the myspace -- i've got to maintain a certain amount of anonymity (and i'm the kind of prick who will only be myspace friends with people i actually know in real life, anyway). i'm sorry! :(
from janetplnetoc :
you are the spokesdykejew now. That's an awful lot of responsibility to give to someone who may or may not have killed jeezus. (and you know I say that as a joke, right?)
from janetplnetoc :
And why are the last 5, now 6, notes from me and not any one else? People, speak up!
from janetplnetoc :
I used to have bread, butter and sugar sandwiches too! But my mom didn't make them for me, I made them for myself in a desparate, uncontrollable need/urge/desire/craving for sugar. My mom would go through phases where we didn't have junk in the house but we usually had baking ingredients. I would sometimes just mix butter and sugar and eat that.
from janetplnetoc :
I get mad at salad too, for not being deep fried and full of melted cheese. But if the salad has avocado in it, I will usually forgive it.
from janetplnetoc :
I find the end of the day the hardest in terms of eating as well. For me, I think the work day keeps me so busy I don't really think about food, but at night, I'm just hanging out, watching TV (which always seems like the perfect time for munching). It's a hard habit to break, unless I'm a little on the manic side of things but that's not usually good either. Oh and I wouldn't want to wake up to the pledge of allegiance either. The Notre Dame fight song, maybe, but the pledge of allegiance, no thanks had enough of that in grade school.
from janetplnetoc :
I've been trying to come up with an "n" food that goes with rice. The only "n" foods I can think of are nachos and noodles. Oh, wait, what about niblets like corn niblets? They put those in spanish rice and fried rice don't they?
from janetplnetoc :
The thing that helped me make the decision and be strong about my choice to any defenders was this -- for people with over 100 pounds to lose, typical diets and exercise programs have a 2% success rate. WLS has an 80% success rate. Obesity is a life threatening disease. If you aren't having health issues now, you will some day. If you had cancer, would you take the treatment with the 2% success rate or the 80% success rate? Just something to think about. Oh, and I was addicted to obesity help the whole pre-op time and for about a year afterwards. I read the q&a's every day.
from noaddedme :
I think the big thing with any wls is that you accept that the changes are forever. I have a friend who is set in her mind to have the lap-band BUT so she can "lose weight when she wants to." I am not against it or for it ... meaning that I think for some it's right, for some it's not. I read the forums a lot because I get good ideas to add to my life even w/o the surgery, but I'm always shocked at the people who go through such a MAJOR surgery ... then don't do what they need to do. Me? I just want a pill that makes me not ever have food as a priority :)
from noaddedme :
Happy birthday!!!!
from janetplnetoc :
Hi, I'm a 'tard. I did get the mail, I am just bad at checking my mail because it's almost never fun stuff! I'll write you back about the bypass stuff... but in short, no regrets, not a single one. Thanks for the card, new penpal of mine!
from janetplnetoc :
Hey, I'm not writing this to be pesky, but I sent you some snail mail and I sent it out in a batch with other mail and I'm not sure if any of that mail made it to its destination so I'm sort of following up. Did you get a card from me a few weeks ago?
from janetplnetoc :
But how cool to have a job where they actually expect you to read books! Tell me how it is, maybe I wanna read it so I can be lured into the gangsta lifestyle yo.
from noaddedme :
Spend some time at www.obesityhelp.com. I have two friends considering the lap band. Like anything there are a lot of pros and cons. I know for me it wouldn't work. My problems are mental and making my stomach smaller wouldn't change them a bit. Good luck and no matter what you decide, I'll keep reading!
from janetplnetoc :
It was a big change and an amazing process losing 140+ pounds through GBS. I have no regrets but it wasn't always easy and the journey ain't over yet. I'm here if you want to talk.
from dragprincess :
You are too fucking adorable.
from janetplnetoc :
somehow, amish and librarian DO seem to go together, along with embroidered fruit. But I know that underneath that amish exterior is one hip chick.
from dragprincess :
Bogie must be adorable. I had ice cream for lunch today and it made me think of you.
from albygocougs :
lady, you are hilarious! and thanks for the scratch ticket.
from janetplnetoc :
If you email me your address, I'll send you a card in the mail. Nothing makes the day brighter than "good" mail.
from teacher-dyke :
aaah! i wanted to go to simmons for library school, but i became a teacher instead. i still might go, though!
from teacher-dyke :
god. i think i need to start playing bingo.
from janetplnetoc :
At the very least she should buy you some kind of extravagant gift...
from janetplnetoc :
It sucks when our relationships get "iffy" because they affect so many other areas of our lives. I mean, you can't exactly tell all the other librarians to "f" off because you are fighting with your girlfriend. Some times, I wish I had a button "I'm crabby, best not to approach me today".
from janetplnetoc :
I can never make myself write (poetry, journal entries, etc), it's something that comes out of me when I'm ready. When you have a poem in you that needs to come out, it will.
from juiceandjune :
i know! school is good. well, i wouldn't know because i skipped out on summer school, opting for the making money route. i'll return for the fall and graduate in the spring! (only 3 classes left though - so a very light load each semester. woo!)
from janetplnetoc :
They have amazing pillows you use when you are pregnant... you can sleep in all sorts of positions, though not your stomach. If you want to carry a child, don't let sleeping on your stomach stop you.
from janetplnetoc :
It's too bad that your girlfriend didn't have you on the desk alone. That would have been a lot more fun.
from janetplnetoc :
Even 38 year olds need best friends and it's hard and sad when people who were BFF suddenly become acquaintances. I need more best friends. As soon as I win the lottery, I'm buying 20 acres of land and sending for all my diaryland buddies to come live with me. We'll each have our own house and our compound will have a playground for anyone with kids, a movie theater, a starbucks, a fabulous swimming pool, barbeque area, anything a girl could dream of. We'll all get to hang out all the time.
from janetplnetoc :
If you make it on Jeopardy, then you will be here in So Cal for the filming... Heidi and I will have to take you out and show you a good time!
from dragprincess :
How about saying, "Thanks for sharing!" and reminding people to just focus on their own lives.
from lpelias :
very amusing
from janetplnetoc :
The motto for my city is "Land of Gracious Living". I don't know, maybe the grace part has to do with the million freakin' churches in the town.
from lpelias :
what's up? how's life? how's work? what's new?
from dragprincess :
For real. Librarians are HOT.
from dragprincess :
just sending you a big wet kiss, pretty lady. *MWAH*
from lpelias :
update more often pls
from dragprincess :
a sore throat? then it's a good thing we didn't have a crazy NYE makeout sess.
from dragprincess :
oh please. that pic is awful. i look much sexier in real life.
from lpelias :
you mean ms stewart martha? why would she say such a thing?
from lmgoblue :
I think you should go for it - Chicago is a great place, you have no trouble at all meeting people, and the job sounds like a fantastic opportunity. Plus there are tons of Michigan alum in Chi-town :)
from dragprincess :
i LOVED scholastic book orders. loved choosing the books and getting my order. now, as for the chi-town job...you take what feels right. if moving isn't going to do it for you, then ok -- but you have to be ok with your decision to say no so when everyone jumps down your throat, you can say, "well, thanks for sharing, but this was *MY* choice and i stand by it."
from lpelias :
take it take it take it take it
from dragprincess :
honey honey honey. it's all okay.
from lpelias :
you'll be okay little bug
from dragprincess :
Jack the Jew...honey, we are not meant for physical labor or tools. Leave that for the goyim.
from dragprincess :
I love your writing so much that I have gone to read your OTHER journal/blog and am loving that too. I am an obsessed stalker. I admit it. Good thing you're so cute.
from augustdreams :
Not a thing wrong with you, babe. It's just that every now and then life sucks ass. I know looking for work is frustrating and discouraging and usually feels like a solid kick to the ego. But some lucky employer will find you. Just remember you're the EXACT same kick-ass person no matter if you're president of a corporation or brushing your teeth and hoping for a call-back. *hugs*
from dragprincess :
It's a bad day...a bad week even. Or month. The point is, some days are good and some are bad -- and that's okay. It's all okay. You're putting in the footwork to find a job and move into the next phase of life. It's coming, but coming on its own terms. You're right where you need to be.
from dragprincess :
girl, you wouldn't be the first. however, i've taken a vow against U-haul dating. you'll have to prove your love first.
from dragprincess :
really? i thought we were still at the making out stage. and i thought you might have an issue with the whole "older woman" thing. i'm 30. no spring chicken.
from dragprincess :
A Jewish Women's Book Club...that's it. You have to marry me.
from dragprincess :
I am *LIVING* for your mom!!
from dragprincess :
Flattery will get you everywhere...and *I'm* the dragprincess 'threatening' makeout sessions. It was more of a 'first come, first served' kind of offer.
from lpelias :
who is this drag princess that is threatening make out sessions and how come i'm just finding out about this....
from oed :
There's alot in this world that I have little patience for, but recently I carved a little pumpkin with a special carving kit and now I am planning to do nothing but carve pumpkins from now until Hollerw'n. Bwahahaha! I think with the spaghetti sauce you just splash some red wine on it. Congrats on the Libree job, Sassers - I hope it proves to be a good intergenerational-lezzie good time.
from dragprincess :
what a gift for your doggie and for you that you were holding him and loving him right up to the end. no denying it's the worst experience in the world, but it was done with love and honesty and with care.
from augustdreams :
I really like your writing. Found you when I joined the igobothways ring and can't believe I've been missing out on all the sassers goodness for so long. You're going on my favorites. I shall be back for more!
from dragprincess :
just got your e-card....you are the sweetest.
from lpelias :
look how beautiful you are in that photo.
from dragprincess :
adorable photo. makeout offer still stands.
from lmgoblue :
damn... that is A LOT of roses
from dragprincess :
happy birthday....and you're right where you need to be.
from dragprincess :
if you want to be cast, you need to audition....and make out with me.
from dragprincess :
girl! get on the Fun Wa and make me a WOMAN!
from dragprincess :
your make-out proposal is accepted...but will Ms. Liora put the kibosh on our hot session? hopefully, she will understand that this is a mercy make-out.
from dragprincess :
i have the feeling you might really dig chi-town. it's a great place, friendly, and big but not overwhelming. if i ever live nyc (doubtful), i'd probably head there next.....
from dragprincess :
i always find that hitting rock bottom, as painful as it is, can be an excellent catalyst for change. but your mom shaming you isn't going to change anything -- it has to be what *you* want. don't beat yourself up. listen to your mind and body. you are going through some big searches and changes. tackle what you can. be gentle on yourself. just a suggestion.....
from hannahlore :
Take care and have a swell trip! -Starr
from dragprincess :
word. enjoy the holy land. you're a far better jew than i am (i'd much rather go to new zealand).
from albygocougs :
okay, so, since i got a nasty email from someone who didnt like what i wrote, im wondering if the thing you said about not liking what someone wrote is about what i wrote? is it? if it is, i wanna know. i need to know these things in order to improve. it probably isnt about me at all, but im sitting here bored as hell and needed a reason to write you a note. mmk, thats all.
from neverknew :
Kansas does not sound like...you.
from albygocougs :
i promise, when the right job opens up for you and you are ready and willing to receive it, it will happen. the universe will take care of you. but first, its gonna kick you around a bit.
from candyangel57 :
Wow, I love cats. Well, will you add me to yur buddy list on here. I am candyangel57.
from juiceandjune :
have fun in dallas! maybe i will be an official librarian-to-be when you get back.
from albygocougs :
hmm... how bout a day trip to new haven connecticut... i hear there is an ikea there. db and i have been fantasizing about finding two beautiful women to take us to ikea...
from rickscafe :
You're right. Not a good market for Pirates. The cannons don't thunder and there's nothing to plunder....
from cactustree :
not to worry -- just a design update! should be up by Monday....
from gumphood :
what up sugarpup.
from gumphood :
hi
from lmgoblue :
No you cannot move to NY!!!! Well i guess if you did I would have an excuse to go out there more often :)
from janetplnetoc :
No one should pre-empt Ellen. NO one, not for anything. Ellen rocks and when I'm home, her show is the highlight of my day.
from waycoolmama :
Just cruising thru the (very few intelligent and over 14 years of age) Coloradan diaries and happened across yours. I'm thinking we could possibly get a discounted group rate on our tickets to Winnipeg. It's a cultural hub, ya know... plus the people there are wonderful. ;o)
from albygocougs :
its not over yet..... there are still a few more votes to be counted. btw: what do you think of france? i was thinking of immigrating to france and buying a little farm w/ LOM and her girl and one of my boys. wanna come?
from gumphood :
I am so happy and sad and happy and excited about the Red Sox. Its really too much to contain. I mean it. Its CRRRRIIIAAAZZZYYY
from albygocougs :
good for you for staying strong and not smoking in real life. personally, i find that dream-smoking is a completely acceptable alternative.
from albygocougs :
um... i wanna see your new haircut! pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease.
from albygocougs :
omg! how the heck did you become a resource for making fake vaginas??? but the REAL question is... how did you find out you were sited as a source, you wiley librarian, you?
from bostonlaris :
I love that everytime you speak of weather conditions. It makes me feel so...connected (smile).
from hothead :
eek! and i thought i had some messed up google searches...
from juiceandjune :
i never heard of the googlewhack either. but i just found one with a word i learned in the crossword yesterday. woo! fun at work. or something.
from hothead :
what exactly is "googlewhacking?" as a google addict, you'd think i'd have heard of it. odd.
from slashrgrrl71 :
Happy Birthday! My oldest brother celebrates his today as well- you're in good company. :)
from heidiann :
Happy birthday! To you! =)
from bostonlaris :
Oh I would love to have some homo friends in Boston...It is awefully straight here.
from purex :
mmmmm, count chocola
from silvavocat :
The Trader Joe's toffee with a million pounds of crumble and just a teeny bit of toffee? Yeah, that is a bummer. I expect better from Trader Joe's junk food. The chocolate covered almonds are good though.
from indigo-love :
if it was sat, it would have to be early. they need to get to the cape for a show that night and they need to be at the venue doing soundcheck by late afternoon. i'm not sure what kinds of festivities are happening on friday, but from what i heard, they'd most likely be there. but with them, you never know! :)
from indigo-love :
yeah, right now it's rumored that IG will play at a boston pride event. it kind of depends on how well the show (they're playing the fleet on friday night) sells. it has something to do with their contract. but a VERY reliable source has told me that if the show sells as well as it needs to, that amy and emily WILL play a short set for boston pride.
from neverknew :
Oh I miss the T...ride, ride, ride, for me!
from juiceandjune :
thank the lord i'm not, sir! it is exciting in these parts lately, huh? will you be hitting ptown next weekend? you should. ladies galore.
from slvrdroplets :
Am I so boring that you must never speak to me again?
from jack-lyn :
I really like your diary.
from slvrdroplets :
No, it's [email protected] E-mail me there.
from slvrdroplets :
Hey, duh...I didn't know you were trying to talk to me. E-mail baby!!:)
from jack-lyn :
i saw your banner. it was cool, so i disided to check out the site. its great. im amazed by how many diary entries you already have! wooah.
from sunnflower :
I love the librarian action figure. Some people got all bent out of shape about it. Lots of buzz on library listservs - some good and some bad - but I think it was funny and she had a good sense of humor to be the model for it.
from oed :
Thanks for the nod. I feel likewise.
from neverknew :
I sent you an email with your password and everything. If it does not work let me know...
from oed :
My favorite ex and I loved sushi, but got into the worst arguments after these dinners. Never figured whether it was the sake or the wasabi. One time, we went directly to Barnes and Noble and bought one of those little reading nightlights that fits on a book -- before we argued. I don't think either of us ever enjoyed that light. Best wishes to you ...
from juiceandjune :
yes! i know! i was looking at those yesterday, and decided to go simple. plus, i just really liked the name. what's better than a raging pistachio? i really really like yours though. for serious. really.
from juiceandjune :
when my little brother was young, he used to love conversation hearts. so much that he made up a song about them. it went "i'm a tiny conversation heart. . .hug me!" and so on. i still sing it in my head whenever i see them. 2cool2b4gotten
from neverknew :
Yes I definitely know that I can be with women again. From some independent research I have found that this is not an uncommon thing for lesbians to go through so I guess I am doing okay...right? right!
from juiceandjune :
I have dropped the proverbial ball. I will be a slacker for another year. Sometimes I hate that ball. Will you still help me with scholarships and grants even though it's too late for the fall?
from imperfectlyy :
Hey! I found you from onepinksock's notes. =)
from juiceandjune :
thanks for the note! when are you coming back?
from no-yes-maybe :
Hey you know someone who spells their name like me!
from neverknew :
Why does it seem that everyone is going to Boston? Well I am leaving on the 26th but I am coming back much sooner than you are... (the 1st). But enjoy it. I spent much of my years growing up there and I know for sure that it holds so much. I know it is too late but, Drive Safe!
from jessicaann :
She was really really cool. And lives near Chicago. So. Right.
from arieskms :
Love love QAF. Give me a character I'll give you the last few seaons' plotlines. IT would take awhile to get them all done, but if you'd like tapes I can make them...?
from arieskms :
Thank you for responding, I was really wondering about that question. See, my thing is a huge huge crush on Allen Ginsberg and a strong liking of the movie Liberty Heights... but, you're right, I don't have much experience with Jewish people, being southern. Do you watch QAF? Do you write poetry or anything else? I'm always up for new writers.
from shimmyshimmy :
Just writing to say I love your user name, and your diary is quite something! I'll read more another time.
from jessicaann :
*grins* Fantastic.
from lezbian :
I'm just letting you know that I read your diary! Check mine out if you'd like :)
from neverknew :
I like your diary, your words...I cannot stop reading but...I am sure that I can take you in Jeopardy! And I must get on the show before you to prove my Jeopardy prowess...Smile
from jessicaann :
I have cheated on girls. I have been cheated on by girls. Let me say one thing. Karma is a bitch. Ponder that and let it turn into a smile across your face.
from doombilly :
Cheaters cheat and the just keep cheating. Drop that beat in the garbage can.
from ferretmommy :
I had my diary reviewed and personally, wouldn't do it again. It's just my opinion that I don't think they should review on your content. I was told I was boring and childish, just b/c I don't write about my most personal feelings for the whole world to see. But you may fare better than I. :)
from constructive :
Eeeeeee! I'm excited! (Oh, oops. Sorry this is Heidi I'm on under another diaryname. Imagine it says heidiann up yonder.) Incredibly excited! I cannot wait to receive your wonderful sassiness in my mail box! =)
from boigrrl1der :
I didn't know you lived in Ann Arbor, I'm from Lansing. :) Rock on...I know the places you talk about. Nice diary by the way.
from doombilly :
Yes. Anti depressants are fairly well documented as causing all sorts of sexual problems. Most notably a problem with achieving orgasm. I have experienced this first hand (no pun intended)and with a partner on anti-depressants. I take Yohimbine. It seems to help. Sometimes I forgoe the anti-d when I anticipate having sex. Like you can anticipate that? I do NOT suggest this as a solution. And I don't even play a Dr. on TV.
from maralisa :
A note from a random means nothing I'm sure, but I hope you're going to be okay...
from dullsville :
i've notified god of yr sentiments, leaving hir a bit confused but secretly proud. xx. keep on rocking.
from rudey :
And there it is! Yes, I HAVE sent you a note before, speaking of my devilish roommate and her cat. Good, I'm glad some things never change.
from rudey :
I lived with Satan for a while, she had a cat named Sassers! Sweetest cat ever. Worst roommate ever. It balanced out. Except I still hate Satan. I should steal that cat... why am I getting a sense of deja vu? Please tell me I didn't already send you a message saying this exact same thing. Wait, let me click "done!" and then go find out so there's more of a chance of embarassing myself. WHEEE!
from sipthis :
Nice diary...
from doombilly :
you kwazy grrrl. I so drunk. Make happy faces. You.
from juiceandjune :
hmmmmmmmmm. well. as you can probably tell. i play rugby (8&2nd row). i love to read, and i am currently working on navigating through life in a love induced stupor. it's harder than it looks, huh? did you ever get my email a LONG time ago?
from juiceandjune :
sassers- what would you like to know? you mean my entries aren't cryptic enough? =)
from doombilly :
Since you have a gf, how about just naming one of those dildos "Eric"? That'd make me feel special. Congrats on the last day.
from formike :
i love your diary~! i think the alphabetical bio thing is really creative.. would u mind if i stole your idea? i would link back to you and credit you with the idea.. my mind is not functioning well enough to think of anything like that..
from poppyfish :
You. Are. Hilarious. Why haven't more people heard of you?!
from juiceandjune :
wanted to say hi. i find myself at your page a lot, and just saw your banner when on another page. made me chuckle. thought of it as a sign that i should _finally_ leave you a note.
from scarydoll :
i freakin love your banner... you rock!
from jenne1017 :
:o)
from highcream :
i play for longwood univeristy (which was actually longwood college until like a month ago). that would be in the wonderful (sarcasm) farmville, va. i'm assuming you play so where do you play?
from rudey :
Cool diary. I had a roommate from hell with a cat named Sassers. Sweetest cat ever. The roommate, however, left much to be desired.
from truestory :
neat diary! I especially love the cow photo! happy 4th of July!!
from megan0905 :
