Well, we have 6 trumpets in our concert band and 2 trumpets in our wind ensemble. The trumpets in concert band, you can't even tell they're there because they don't even know how to play!! They always play the wrong notes and they can't count rhythms, and even the one who can somewhat play correctly can't make his instrument be heard further than the saxophone row (well, that's on rare occassions - usely we don't even hear him!). So, I don't think there's that many after all, when you count the ones that actually PLAY... lol!
Forty is A LOT of trumpets!!! wow!! But that's also a big band!! We have only 80 in our band, so I think it's in the AA division at band competitions. Either that or AAA-small. I can't remember!! Marching band was too long ago!! lol! Oh - just wondering, where do you go to college? On your location, it said Washington if I remember correctly, and I live in Washington, so I was just wondering. :-) ttyl. ~Éowyn~

Hey! Likewise, thanks for signing my guestbook! Trumpet is indeed a hard instrument! That's why out of our 8 trumpets, only two of them can even make any form of distinguishable noise fromt their instruments!! Really?! College band is better than high school band?? That's great! But I love band nonetheless right now! It's my favorite class and I absolutely love music. :)

Welcome back. Good decision. Now, at 19, you shouldn't expect to understand everything. I'm 34, and I don't have all the answers I thought I would have by this time. Wish that were the case, but life is meant to be a never-ending process of learning. Ride with it. Just my advice =}

I definitely don't think you deserve the title of anti-social. This is a term that some people slap on others because they're scandalized that you don't feel like hanging out with them. I'm an introvert myself, don't see too many people, and prefer just to entertain myself mostly, so I know what you're feeling.
