i have a book recommendation for you - "developmental juvenile osteology" by louise scheuer and sue black. it is about bones rather than culture, and it is too technical in places to read cover to cover, but it is facinating and you will feel so smart.

Last Days! My god, I feel the same way. I was expecting this beautiful movie, and a little bit into it I was hoping it would at least turn interesting, and then I pretty much gave up all hope. It ended and I just sat there stunned, because <i>that was it.</i> It was devoid of any and all emotion. Oh that's great! I'm getting married June 25th of this year. Kind of hectic at the moment as our photographer just dropped out, so we're desperate to find another. I spent some time studying in England (London primarily), though I did spend many weekends in Brighton. What a fun, quirky kind of place. My fiance and I were incredibly broke and we decided to drop 5p in a slot machine on that seedy pier and ended up scoring 40 quid! It was great. Thanks for the note. I'm sorry you didn't read all of it because I think it explained a lot of the problems you have with my beliefs. As far as my readers are concerned, a lot of them think along the same lines you do so they might actually agree with you. I don't think that a country should be run by one persons individual belief either. I think if society as a whole deems something unhealthy or immoral then the majority opinion should rule. You said something along the lines that so long as people do things that don't harm others then it should be accepted. Harm is a very subjective term. And I think that's where a lot of people get thier misunderstanding from. For me, federally recognized gay marriage validates it as an acceptable lifestyle - I can't stop what happens in private bedrooms nor would I want to, but there are alot of things people do in their bedrooms that i don't want my goverment validating as morally acceptable - (Some people have multiple partners at a time or other "creatures" involved for instance ) You are right in saying you won't sway my mind and I certainly wouldn't presume that I could sway yours, but I would hope that because there is a disagreement on issues that that wouldn't close your mind entirely to a person. My friends are varied and come from a lot of different viewpoints. Some of them along the far left view and some way beyond the far right. And we all get along and respect each other for the most part. My views are not any less valid or correct than yours and vice versa - they are just different.

What makes Dallas "up there" is a small town outside of Corpus. There isn't much good around here, but still, at least there are plenty of unfiltered night skies, no sodium or hydrogen taking up whole parts of what you see (though of course those two have their own amazing beauty to them, at just the right times). Never snowed since you've taken root there, uh? Well, I remember it seemed pretty close to it while I was on some Greyhound layover. I saw chains on cop tires, hearing them tear up much of the gravel, so clueless as how to drive on that ice.

update April 6, 2020: Sorry, we just had 8+ hours downtime due to a server problem. Restoring from backups took soooo long, but everything is back and no data was lost. Ay yay yay! Anyhow, hope everyone is well with the virus stuff.
