i love the stills, however they sound really different, and much better, live. i don't know about that other band you mentioned. anyway, modest mouse is a lot tougher than the strokes. isaac screams all the time, while julian can't sing without effects laden mics. i still love their music though... ;P

i passed yago on my way to virgin yesterday during my lunch hour. he was walking with a member of some crappy pop-screamo band (finch maybe) away from the mtv studios. he looked at me for a while and then stared at my bag for a while. i think he almost recognized me as the person secretly photographing his apartment. but it would have only been in spirit since he's never actually seen me except for once many months age when i was asleep on his couch/futon. so there you go. oh yeah, he's looking super skinny as well, more so than usual.
