Trust me, it's not consistant enough to be an attitude. It's more of an aspiration. I have pains in my life that I have trouble letting go of. Old hurts that have become so important to my self image that to remove them would be to die. In a very real sense, I'm too afraid to be THAT happy. I'm trying to learn, though. I know some of what I have to do. Ever seen Fight Club? Great movie, better book. Anyway, I just love when Tyler is driving that car in the rain and he and "Jack" (Edward Norton's character) are arguing. Tyler keeps letting go of the wheel and Jack keeps trying to grab it. Tyler says, "Stop trying to control everything and just let go." When Jack hesitate, he yells , "LET GO!" The way he delivers that line gets me every time. :) I like your new site design, by the way. And the 'Lost' child picture. Kind of reflects everybody, doesn't it? :)

Life is in the details. Also, life is only boring to boring people. And while I may be a boring person (only sometimes :), I always remind myself that the most amazing thing in life is life. One of my favorite movies, Joe Versus The Volcano, also has one of my favorite quotes in it: (paraphrased) "Nearly everyone goes through life asleep. There are only a few who are truly awake and they walk through life in a constant state of amazement."
If I'm not amazed, then I'm asleep (dreamless sleep, to be precise). I wish I remembered that more often. I might get a whole lot more out of life. :) Anyway, all that to say that I don't find your blog boring. People are the only truly interesting thing left. (Bonus Question: How many time did I use the word life in this note? :) It's late and I'm feeling philosophical...good night...

I highly recommend seeing Donnie Darko. With a semi-professional eye you can tell that it was the director's first effort (he also wrote it), but the quality and depth is top-notch. Also, unless you're a very perceptive and watchful person, I'd watch it twice. You catch a lot more stuff. I need to write in my blog more. My life lately has involved many things, but computers haven't been one of them...I'm hopelessly behind on your blog, as well. Oh well. I'll try and catch the highlights. :)

At least you still have yourself, and your diary. Sometimes people just DON'T understand. At that point there are two options (more if you can be creative!) MAKE them understand, or feel extra special because now YOU understand...and can help someone else who needs that understanding.
Who knows what each day brings, but I agree, it is always the shittiest when you feel alone!

Um...having read some part of your blog I couldn't help but notice a dilemma between a certain #1, #2 and #3. :) I hope my advice doesn't offend, but even a wrong choice is better than no choice at all. Hell, wait long enough and a choice will be made for you, and those are usually (but not always) the worst. I don't know. That's what I would be thinking, anyway. Having no real clue about your situation, take that for whatever it's worth. :)

Holy crap! You post to your blog like a mad woman! I'm impressed. :) I'm currently watching The Shawshank Redemption, winding down for sleep as midnight approaches. This movie...well, it inspires me like few other things can. It's like home. Anyway, back to the show. Maybe I'll get to sleep peacefully tonight...yeah, and maybe I'm a Chinese Jet Pilot...:)

Yeah, I have this strange little love/hate relationship with my diary. We fight, I neglect it. Then something reminds me of why I do it and I go back to it and it's good. It's sort of like some twisted relationships I've had. :) I've been to North Carolina a few times, once for this beautiful wedding on one of the coastal islands. It was easily among the Top 5 best sunrises I've ever seen. They arranged it so that the bride and groom were outlined by the sky, like perfect silhouettes. When the sun meets the oceans, either on a rise or set, it's simply the meaning of the word picturesque. Which brings me to Austrailia. :) What's the environment like? Mountains, forests, deserts, warm, cool, wet, arid...? A family I once knew who used to live there spoke very highly of it. Also, what's the economy like? If I ever managed to get out there, I'd be supporting myself for at least 6 months. It'd be good to know what to expect, jobwise. Hmm, I will cease rambling...for the moment. :)

Maybe I should lower my standards for friendship...then again, maybe not. :) It's weird, but you're the second person from Austrailia to find my blog. Mean something? Probably not. I've read a little bit of your blog. Nice. I like the layout. Content, too. :) I'm also looking to get the hell out of the town in which I currently live. I've been here WAY too long (About 4 years too long, but that's another story). So tell me, what's it like to live in Austrailia? I'm a lowly little American and when I leave I'd like to know where to go first. :)

I just had a drug investigator come to my class today. It was interesting learning about drugs. I must now go take drugs so I can actually sleep. Apparently when you are sleep deprived you have a harder time falling asleep. Eh! who knew?! moral: health first, other things second. take care.
