sharfen berger factory tour? You traitor.
from cheflouise :
yay plabs
from philothea :
Just came through the Pratchett diaryring. I am so jealous you got to go to WorldCon! I had a supporting membership so I voted for the Hugos, but I couldn't go since I was in Montana. I'm going to add you if that's okay.
from ary-chan :
Um...hey. I don't normally do this, but I really wanted to thank you for your offer to help me out a bit. I really appreciate it, honestly. As of now, however, I don't really have any specific questions. I'll definitely contact you if I think of anything, though. So...ah...thanks. ;)
from ariawoman :
I believe ebay will pull anything that isn't authentic. Meaning, a videotape off tv or a copy of a real tape, etc. Laura H had her things that weren't made by a company pulled off (like the frames she made that RP signed) so I'd be wary of listing it only as as copy. Now, to get around said rule, you could just list an actual item, say, a rockapella pen, and then as a bonus, list the tape. I dont thnk they can pull that off...
from gembrat :
Busy girl! But, you are still getting to NYC this weekend, correct? Hmmm, what are you doing the evening of August 6th or 7th?
from gembrat :
And strangely, the gift I got from my co-workers before my job officially ended was a silver link bracelet with a heart on it. And I thought of yours. : ) Seriously, I wear it everyday.
from ladust115 :
I'm so sorry to miss you, too. There will HAVE to be another trip - or maybe you can come and check out the corn and soybeans!!
from gembrat :
Have a blast & most wonderful time! I owe you a birthday dinner & drink when you get back. Madame X... when I was your age that was a very loud rock group, kinda trashy looking & ever so much fun. The drinks sound yummy!
from gembrat :
I like the new pic! When do you leave again? I don't have to say have fun, because I know you will!
from gembrat :
I loved "Kate Remembered", but keep kleenex handy! Regarding the Bacon Brothers - they're supposed to be at Portsmouth this summer, but the contracts haven't been signed or something. I'll definitely let you know.
from gembrat :
Enjoy your weekend in Maine. Other then Friday, the weather is supposed to be great. Oh, I had Vance Gilbert confused with Ellis Paul - Ellis is the good-looking folk guitarist. Still might have to go to it just for Storm & Paul.
from gembrat :
Maine for Memorial weekend? Where? Why? We're camping in New Hampshire then with 3 other couples. So cool about Ms. Hepburn! I just finished re-reading her bio by Scott Berg last night & bawled all over again.
from ladust115 :
Ok, you've told me that Liz is not a nice person, but I didn't realize she was a psychopath! Your mother needs to learn to put that woman in her place. WTF? How would it have helped her if she'd been in an accident and your mother called her? If she (Liz) was ABLE to ANSWER the phone, wouldn't it stand to reason that she would have used it to call for help? And if she COULDN'T answer the phone, how in the hell would your mom know it was because she had been in an accident? If you tell someone you will attend an event, it is YOUR responsibility to find out the details - including the time. You have my permission to tell her that for me! Love Ya! Linda
from rockapenguin :
Dude! My parents are talking about graduation too! For like the past month theyve been bugging me off and on. Todau I talked to dad, then mom and then dad purposely got back on the phone to find out the date of graduation. They don't announce it yet cuz they're smart and realize they need to get through this years graduation first. And as far as job goes, if one more person asks if I'm gonna work in NY or Florida, I am going to decapitate them.
from ladust115 :
I completely understand what you are saying. I was, quite frankly, surprised to see the kind of discussions on the "Official" boards. I haven't felt moved to respond to any of them. I'm still a fan, and will probably always be, but I don't need some of the angst that is being caused by these "I know more than you do" competitions. There are people in the world with REAL problems, I'll use my effort and worry and prayers on them. I'm looking forward to seeing you this summer.
from rockapenguin :
I know we talked about that whole thing last night, but I'm glad you posted it. It definitely needed to be said. I totally agree with you. :) Me miss you!!!
from ladust115 :
Awwww, Sweetie, I wish I could be there to see you perform and to help cheer you up. Hang in there till July! I'll be in NYC!
from sketchedpony :
Welcome to the laundry diaryring. Please put up the code as soon as possible. Thanks.
from gembrat :
Oh, Sue! Extra thoughts your way during this trying time. Please know I am thinking of you & your roomie.
from ladust115 :
Just breathe!!I wish I was there to make you feel better, but, I'm not. Take each task 1 at a time and try not to let yourself get too stressed. We're all here for you if you need us! Linda
from cheflouise :
in the roaring traffic's boom, in the silence of my lonely room I think of you, night and day. Sorry, I couldn't help it.
from gembrat :
Just remember we'll be at the 1st show Saturday too. Oh, and they're cool about the food if you order something. The other night the table of 4 next to me ordered 3 Italian sodas & 1 icecream - definitely not the $10 per person. Cover that night was $12 & DVN's is like $15. I want them to do "Big Chair" & the "Seaman Chanty".
from gembrat :
Sue! We bought tickets for show#1 and show#3 of DVN. I also talked 'Mike' into getting a room the first night. Hopefully, we'll be near each other. Wonder if we can request? According to DVN's site they are cutting back on public performances.
from ariawoman :
Of course the tshirt would sell on ebay...everything rockapella goes well...
from ladust115 :
Sue, thank you so much for your comments. You will see me do storytelling next summer. We'll have a small house concert, ok?
from gembrat :
I can't believe I didn't recognize it! LOL Yes, we are hoping to see at least 1 of the 3 DVN shows. Valentine's Day with DVN - hmmm, interesting, very interesting.
from plaidskies :
Rockin Around the Christmas Tree (sung by many, most recently and worst version of it by Rockapella. But I think the orig was Brenda Lee?)
from madelin :
Hey, I didn't say I LIKED the Tom Jones version, just that it is the most well known. LOL
from halapeno :
Hey, I was looking up random diaries, and I saw yours. It attracted me because you go to BU, and I'm in Boston a lot, even though I live in Providence now. Hope you're enjoying your stay! I'm going to add you to my faves if you don't mind because I enjoy reading. :)
from ladust115 :
Baby, It's Cold Outside. Don't know who wrote it, but it is may favorite winter song! Linda
from madelin :
Baby It's Cold Outside. I LOOOOVEEEE this song. It's mine and Paula'song..we were just singing it yesterday! woo hoo. Oh, I believe Louis Armstrong was the original but Tom Jones has the more "popular" version.

YAY! That's from "Santa Baby". The earliest recording I know of the song is by Eartha Kitt.
from bstagebabe :
is it from HHGG? The whole song: Show me the way to go home, I'm tired and I wanna go to bed, I had a little drink about an hour ago and it went straight to my head. At least, that's how I learned it.
from madelin :
your quote on your away message is from the "Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy" song title "Show me the way to go home" or something like that.
from ladust115 :
Don't know the name, but isn't this the first verse? Show me the way to go home, I'm tired and I wanta go to bed. I had a little drink about an hour ago and it went right to my head! L

from madelin :
I know it's "Cruisin'" or "Cruisin' Together" sung by Huey Lewis and Gwyneth Paltrow. I don't know who it is written by but I'll guess Huey Lewis.
