marriage is **so** overrated. i envy those who are single and free. the first year is okay with the adjustments, but the second year is, um, "difficult" to say the least. then comes the third year where you just accept your life the way it is (if you haven't made plans for divorce already). when your friend goes through this, laugh about it (privately of course!). it's mean, but a fact of life that most if not all married couples go through. Not many people would admit it, but they married out of expectations. For those who seem the most content, the general concensus has been that they married the person that they unexpectedly got "the feeling" from. Their ages ranged from 18 to 45, so be happy and spend all that money and energy on yourself! eek-long message...sorry!
from dulligirl :
Oh, my God. You lucky, lucky girl. David Sedaris is my gay boyfriend. Unfortunately, I've never seen him speak but I have listened to all his books on tape. I am so jealous of you!!
from dulligirl :
Sorry you hate your job..I know the feeling. But good luck on the RH inquiries!
from gerg69 :
Oh that fig short in your profile says so much. i liked it.
from dr-evil45 :

from starlight42 :
glad you found a job, sorry that it requires broken elevators though! give your cat a little more time, sometimes it takes a while for them to come around. and sometimes they're just jerks...
from dulligirl :
Congrats on the job. And my advice...take the stairs! Elevators are scary things.
from xnavygrrl :
I'm thinking of you. Breakups suck.
from pariahpoet :
*grin* It is my life's work to make fun of D-land banners, but I rather like yours. I definately agree.
from starrgazer02 :
I can totally relate to your friend situation - I had that happen to me too. Sometimes people can be so two-faced and let you believe everything is just so fine and dandy then they hit you with this bomb out of like nowhere that totally catches you off guard. But you know what I realized, people like that really do nothing but bring you down so your better of without them! :)
from maverick-js :
That happened to me too! I ended up shelling out $110. He was legit though ... I got my magazines ... oi ... but they're pretty bad ones, like YM. haha ... I haven't read a YM magazine since I was 15!
from long-ignored :
this is only really bad if they were magazines you (or no one you know) would EVER read...if you'll read them then it's okay. lol (did that help)
from dulligirl :
Sroo, I know how you are feeling or at least I can relate. Sometimes laying in bed at night, I'll be hit with how much debt I have and how long its going to take to crawl out of it. The only way to get through it is to push it to the back of your mind when you need to relax. You can't constantly think of it. And the romance thing? I totally get that. Hang in there.
from banefulvenus :
your banner rocks!
from dulligirl :
List your house with BO? Hee! Thanks for the laugh. :-)
from long-ignored :
thank you so much for the note. It's always nice to hear from you. Especially when you come with compliments. lol And yes, with as easy as it is to write it's incredible we aren't in better places...
from guderian :
Aloha sroo, This poem page is dedicated to you http://guderian.diaryland.com/Trail.html it is called Journey on the page called Road less Travelled. Bless You, Your Buddies Marty and Guderian
from curious-me :
Hi there, I clicked on your banner a while back and have been reading your journal ever since. I meant to write sooner and let you know that I enjoy reading your journal. I'm sorry about everything that's going on right now. Life can be one big confusing mess at times. I went through a hell-ish break up with my ex about a year ago. But looking back I'm now glad it happened - cause I'm in a much better place. I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. I hope everything works out for you. All the best.
from dulligirl :
I'm sorry you didn't get into the college and your b/f broke up with you also. I feel so bad for you but hang in there... At least you have a family that is being supportive so that's definitely a plus. Keep your chin up but I don't blame you for being blue right now.
from guderian :
Aloha Sroo, I am so sorry to hear about the difficulties you are having. You are in my prayers and I believe that everything you are going through though sad will prove to be a much better future than you imagine it could ever be. You are a great person. I not only believe it, I know it. God Bless You and Yours, Guderian a.k.a. Marty
from long-ignored :
Oh, hun, I am so sorry. hugs. Hey, things can only get better from here, right? (or something as equally unhelpful)
from xnavygrrl :
I'm sorry you're having such a bad time. You're in my thoughts, dear.
from mzletty :
I'm here cuz I clicked your funny banner. Living at home sucks for me too!-mzletty
from dulligirl :
Awww, I'm sorry you're feeling so low. I'll send good vibes out that you have good news about college. Take care.
from starrgazer02 :
Happy New Year! :)
from starrgazer02 :
Happy New Year! :)
from thevow :
Or you may be one of those people on the news saying "No he wasn't a quiet boy. The Mofo STOMPED" when they show him on the 6pm news for some terrible crime. Christmas music in his 20's? hmmm..... look for large bags coming out of there especially if they drip.
from valkang :
Hi. I found your diary randomly, and I've really enjoyed your entries. I love Sylvia Plath too...in fact, I wrote my last entry about her. And I adore David Sedaris too! Anyway, I will be adding you to my list of favorites. Take care.
from banefulvenus :
I clicked on your banner. I read your latest entry... good stuff! There's so much emotion...
from uknowhatodo :
office space rules. always has, always will. check out my diary..
from thepeachtree :
Oh my, some people are so incompatent. I hope her daughter grows up and decides she wants to turn into a man or something, i'm sure that would loosen her mom up a little! But your so right, and i'd love to read that poem. Have a evry merry christmas dollface!
from michl :
Your banners keep making me visit your diary. I enjoy reading it. Best of luck with your bf. Michelle
from dulligirl :
Luck, sroo! I think everyone has had an experience like that at a party. Don't feel too embarrassed by it.
from xnavygrrl :
Don't feel alone. I've done the same exact embarrasing thing. Hugs. :)
from plebeian-kit :
I would just like to say that I -adore- your diary. I've read over a few of the entries this morning and laughed and angsted right along with you! No worries, I hate math as well..and for my exams this semester...BOTH my math classes are on the same day. Fate is a cruel jokester!
from keryanna :
Don't know if this is any consolation - but, when I took the pratice test for the GRE - I was like you: HORRIBLE in the math section and amazing in the verbal. Unfortunately, I didn't have the money to take a test prep course so I just got a book and studied my butt off and did an obscene number of pratice tests. Basically, it wasn't about me learning anything in math but just memorizing the math info I needed to know since they ask the same type of question repeatedly. Which is exactly what I did. With only studying for a month, I brought my math score up almost 300 points to a score I couldn't have imagined I would ever get in math. Considering that I have absolutely no aptitude at all in math and that the GRE math is supposedly harder than the GMAT math - I have faith you will increase your score. If I did it, anybody can!
from elite-divine :
nice entries...if you like Sylvia Plath~have you had a chance to check out the movie recently released entitled Sylvia? ahh the life of a true poet!
from virlomi :
weight watchers allows you to 'bank' points, so you can eat whatever you want on thanksgiving and maybe a little less the next day. and, agreeing with the previous note: one day doesn't make a difference.
from wonka1106 :
Let yourself have the food you want at Thanksgiving dinner but don't go overboard. You'll just feel deprived if you don't have any of what you want, and one night of eating more than usual will not ruin all your hard work. Also, maybe work out a little extra to make up for all the good food. I can't wait for that turkey and those mashed potatoes.
from xnavygrrl :
You are so bad. I laughed so hard when I read about the catalogues. You know, someone signed me up for the Heifer International too. Was it you? :)
from jessamine79 :
I love the Halloween "no party" flier. Gotta love the police, they try... They do sobriety check points in the most random places here. What's the point of doing a checkpoint on a back street that no-one ever goes down? At three in the afternoon on a Tuesday? (Came in through your banner, btw.)
from guderian :
Aloha sroo, I sent you an improved edited and hopefully correct version of the New York Mag. Article I hope you can read it better than the last version which I should have not sent. Let me know if it's okay or not. God Bless, Marty Und Guderian
from guderian :
Aloha sroo, I have 2 new diary entries one is a childhood story called The Great Escape and The Grand Alliance, and the next is just another of my songs on photos series called the vision never fades. Your laundry method is unique, I'm sure it works though. When I was on ship sometimes we would hang our whites in fishnet bags and drag them behind the ship the agitation of the props, the chloryphil and the salt in the ocean water produce the most brilliant whites you have ever seen.=D Just thought you might like to know=D!. Bless You, Guderian aka marty
from xnavygrrl :
I identify with your fear on needles. Every time I go to donate blood, I end up with a panick attack and crying my ears out. How embarrassing...
from invisibledon :
love the pool banner
from jazzed-faith :
Great diary...I love it! Keep it up. Sorry 'bout the fish. I've had, what, four pets die this year? I feel your pain, sista. (Wait, did that sound black...?) No, wait, that wasn't racist! Just a little fun, heh...don't hurt me...
from hcatty :
good luck with laundry day lol
from thepeachtree :
I love your layout. Its so beautiful. I think i want the exact same one. *sigh* Well, i'm so sorry your fish died. I once had a whole fish tank filled with fish and they all died from "watter posining" or something. I thanked the guy for selling me the "miracle cleaner" and went on my way. Try not to get to stressed out about it (this coming from the girl who balled her eyes out when her goldfish died.)Have a great day, your defentally a peach.
from long-ignored :
just wanted to let you know that my diary is no longer locked. No password neccesary.
from banshee-rose :
bah your banner teased me with cookies. But i will forgive you seeing how you are such a cool person and all.
from velvet-heart :
Awww, I'm sorry about your fishy.. *huggles*
from annachan :
that sucks! i've never had any pets so i don't nkow how that feels... but still :(
from long-ignored :
I feel your pain my dear. I take it one dysfunctional step farther...I bring up one of my guy's ex...She was far less conservative relationship wise. Makes me wonder how he can go from her to me. What did he see in her or what does he see in ME? Yeah, chicks are screwed up for sure. hugs
from guderian :
Aloha sroo, I enjoyed your last entry if you get a chance could you read my entry The Gift of The Poor, and let me know what you think. Just wanted your opinion. You are a very kind hearted down to earth person and I believe this may speak to you as it does me. with Hope and Blessings, Marty
from squid969 :
definatly possessed. Maybe you should turn to non-traceable drugs...or maybe you could pretend to be suicidal and get like 400mg of prozac...i'm sure you would be very happy throughout the day. :)
from big-list :
Thankyou for supporting big-list.
from guderian :
Aloha sroo, I believe reasons #2 and #3 are the cause for the office problems as well as being underpaid, a disorganized and lack of communication, I had the same problem when I worked for Toys R Choas... I mean Toys R Us. Bless You, I'm praying for you to get into Grad School no second best for my friends and you deserve the best!!! Ciao Bambina, Guderian P.S. Your banners are kicking...so very funny
from dulligirl :
Hehe. Drink coaster. Hehe.
from wonka1106 :
hey congrats on the 6 lbs, that's great for the first week. I weighed in yesterday and reached the 10 lb mark but sadly I did not receive another bookmark.
from iamheather :
For 10 pounds I believe it's a little silver keychain with a "10" on it. At least that's what they have done here in Arizona.
from no-yes-maybe :
wow, I just loved your banner, and I am glad I stopped by.
from dr-evil45 :
Hey- my mom does WW and has lost 17 lbs in 3 weeks...she also walks 2 miles everynight, in the comfort of our own living room. It's "Lisa Sansome's Walk Away the Pounds" tape, it comes in walking 1 mile or 2...and you can do however much you can that night...it seems to work really well for her. Not only that, but my sister in IA does WW...check out her website to see how much she's changed, lost like 150+ I think...here it's http://www.geocities.com/lilacangel02/MyweightlossJourney.html It should give you a lot of inspiration. I know you can do this!! :) I'm going to add you to my faves and see your progress :) -Nicole
from stagepuppet :

I loved the poison banner. I couldn't have said it better myself. I am also a new weight watchers member. Going into week 4 I have lost 7 lbs so far. you can do it!
from dulligirl :
Hey! I clicked on your "wanting to poison them all" banner just because I liked that thought. Good luck on the WW. I tried that last year but don't do well in groups apparantly.
from guderian :
Aloha sroo, Your humor is priceless "marvel at how the scale works" To funny. Here is another health site on the web that is free you can take a free health evaluation test. They recommend lifestyle changes and improvements on a personal level as well regular e-mail updates on different areas of health you also have access to a plethora medical dictionaries, and up to date research on various health issues, this is actually a most excellent site. I have learned much. I turned the coach that lives next door to me on to this site and they swear by it. Just go to http://www.realage.com/ and congrats on joining WW they really helped my mother. God Bless You, Marty
from missleigh :

Aloha Sroo, My latest diary entry is dedicated to you, I don't know if you have ever heard of the Desiderada, But I it has a lot of wisdom for living. Be at peace, God Bless You and Yours, Sincerely, Guderian
from stareyedtwin :
I am thoroughly freaked out. Out of no where I clicked your banner, and the entry I was presented might as well of been written by me. I'm dealing with weight gain too and my boyfriend also said he would love me no matter what and offered to help me. Course I snapped and said oh so you do think I'm fat, that my image can be fixed and youre gonna help me! But anyways. Its nice knowing that youre not alone, and you gave me that.
from guderian :
Aloha sroo, I just recieved your wonderful e-mail and I am trying to figure what are the best things to send to you, I might have to scan some of the material. Anyways in lew of that have you ever checked out this diary http://minstrelite.diaryland.com there are a lot really neat entries in there. That may be inspiring for you. This guy also answers any notes you send him, really a special Man. God Bless You and Yours, I'll be e-mailing you soon! Ciao Bambina, Marty
from bluedevil87 :
Thanks a lot, I've got a new layout now and I love it! And yeah, I'm a bit of a hypocrite... so we're both hard on ourselves, and we both know better... guess we'll both work on that. :)
from guderian :
Aloha sroo, I just sent you a rather lengthy e-mail, I hope it does not offend you, but, sometimes I just have to say whats on my mind and heart. I want you to know that you a wonderful person! And it has been said that the only Whole hearts are the ones that have been broken. God Bless You, Ciao Bambina, Guderian P.S. Visit my diary, it's been improved=D
from bluedevil87 :
Hey... I just stumbled on your diary and felt the need to comment. Don't be hard on yourself. You seem to really have your head together, despite some self-esteem troubles, and who doesn't feel like that sometimes? Good luck and I hope your new doctor works out.
from guderian :
Aloha sroo, Tell Matt he doesn't need pictures of "The Women", he has the real thing standing right in front of him! If he still feels he needs the women than maybe he really needs something else (and maybe so do you). I can understand why it bothers you and I believe you have a right to be offended. I think he should grow up and wise up. But, that's just my opinion. Ciao Bambina, Guderian P.S. I know I'm a big mouth and nosey, but I agree with you=D.
