'Same life, different year.' Reading you reminds me why I like my life in Diaryland. Like you I've been here a few years now! Lfie isn't so different for other people - that is reassuring, not depressing.I read your piece about your father - he has been may favourite rant for two years: selfish, egocentric, womaniser, very wealthy, impuslive, thoughtless, marrid four f*cking times - told me from his hospital bed where he was dying from cancer that he had never wanted childen, which explains why he was a crap father and a non-existant grandfather. Mustn't bitch. A long overdue 'welcome' to the Fivehundred Diary Ring. Those of us who have stuck with it are well into a THOUSAND entries. Quality counts more than quantity though, which is why I'll be coming back here if I may.

Once again, your entry has an amazing resemblance to what I feel. My dad is so unemotionally attached to me that I can't talk to him about anything serious. One of the only differences between our father's is that mine will give me money, but he complains for weeks on end after he does give me money. The only thing I know is that I will never marry a man like my father or step-father. Both irrational, emotionally abusive, and uncompassionate. Oh, one more thing, I love you! I agree with what you said in your last entry, but at the same time I'm wrapped up the weight game. I don't know why losing weight is so important to me, maybe because at one time I weighed a lot (a lot!) more than I am now, and I remember how it felt and how bad I felt about myself. Somehow, sometimes it's hard for me to distinguish self-worth and my pants size. Sad, isnt it? It's a goal of mine to get past it, but I'm not sure it'll ever be totally possible.
