| ::Deep sigh:: I'm troubled to find myself feeling the exact same way you do. I don't love the show any more, I love what it could be, I tune in to see, hoping more than anything to see good television, to see better work, that I know won't be there. God knows I'm still semi-obessed with X-Files, but just like everything else, it has hit it's peak for me, and has nowhere to go but downhill. I know some day I'll run across an article about The X-Files, when I'm 30 or so, and say "I remeber that, me and that stupid t-shirt, it was soft though, too bad they fucked it up." And then I'll move on. It's depressing, but it's got to happen sometime. But look at it this way, if any of us ever go into television, at least now we'll know when to put the plug, pull it just after your peak, and right as your actors want out, and run out of contract. After all, the X-files isn't the same with out CSM, not to mention Mulder. |

There was just no way that could possibly be happening. I'm not sure if you know of the site 'X-Philes for Mulder' (Fox forgets Mulder, Philes forget Fox) but this was recently posted on their web site as to why this season basically sucks.. but I thought it was amusing... "6. The clothing Its an interesting contradiction that the same team who seem to have so many issues with Mulder and Scully having a sex life together, or even either character having one at all, are now falling over themselves to sex this show up. We can't have Scully conceive naturally, or even have a sex life, but wait, instead we'll put her in push-up bras and shirts one size too small, then do slow pans up Gillian�s rear end when she�s tied down to a bed. That'll work. Ya think, Chris? While it might appeal to some, many - including those males of the 18-49 year bracket you are so obviously catering to - find this pretty revolting.
