I think it's an excellent idea to take your medicine. However, the symptoms you listed are also classic symptoms of panic attacks. You've been under so much stress lately that this wouldn't be far-fetched. The label panic attack is also misleading. I have panic disorder, meaning I have panic attacks fairly frequently. There are times that I don't realize what I was feeling was panic, until it was over and I could look back more objectively. Although, I do stand by taking your medicine. Thyroid issues can affect things like brain chemistry, which can aggravate panic attacks.

Girls tend to do that, eh? Drop their friends for their boyfriends- but when everything falls to pieces go back to their friends.
from teacherlady2 :
If you think these people are a true threat, why don't you go to the police? You have a conversation in which someone threatens someone else with a gun. Keep track of things like that and send it to the authorities. The worst that can happen is they won't do anything. If that happens, you're no worse off than you are now. JMO

Don't kid yourself- that guy is totally a racist. Didn't he say, "Ï don't like that shit. It's nasty?" That's racism.
from teachin-usa :
Hey- cute new template!
from mpeacock :
My parents did the same thing (moved a lot), and I was mad too. I was going to a really great school in Europe and we came back to become the Jerry Springer family. But I still made more friends and life was still good in the next town. It turned out.
from teachin-usa :
I wouldn't recommend living alone- if you could find a family your parents would really trust, and that you would feel safe with- it would be worth putting up with - so you can stay at your school. Like churchy people or something. (not that they are necessarily trustworthy- but you know what i mean?) Talking to your counselor is a good idea for sure- but just know and expect that he/she is never going to counsel you to go against your parents' wishes. Also, you should really start thinking about the future--> move or no move- what will you do when you graduate? I think having firm goals will help to keep away depression no matter where you end up. Like they say--"eyes on the prize". Also- one last word of advice- to get what you want in this case you are going to need to be extremely reasonable and calm and serious, (No tantrums). Ok- I'm just making wild guesses- I don't really know you, but I've been reading your diary for almost a year, I think. I'm just telling you the kind of things I wish somebody would have bothered to tell me when I was you age, and all screwed up. Be strong!
from teachin-usa :
You are a senior right? Is there any way you could stay with a friend for six months until you graduate? I'm sure someone somewhere would be willing to take you in. Maybe you could be a live-in nanny for a family or something. Good luck. Be positive- there can be a solution. Keep your cool.
from teachin-usa :
Wow TR, I didn't know you speak Spanish!
from f-i-n :
I love freckles on cats!
from teachin-usa :
I'm sorry about your uncle. That's happened to me before. You could write him a goodbye letter maybe. Take Care. Ms. B
from mommyteacher :
Hey Steph!!! What's up?? I feel like I haven't talked to you in a few weeks. How have you been? I've been good. On Wednesday, my baby boy turns one month old. How awesome is that? I am sorry I haven't noted you yet, but I just wanna thank you for telling me about this site. It rocks! Well, e-mail me later, ok? Talk to you later. Love Ya! -Melanie
from teacherlady2 :
Thanks so much for the birthday wishes! I'm keeping up with your diary, just not responding much to anyone.

One of my former students lives across the street from me. He just graduated from our school this past June, so I lived here 2 years while I still taught him, and he hardly ever acknowledged me! *L* He'd see me outside and say, "What are YOU doing here, Ms. B?" like it was the first time he'd seen me there. Now that he's moved over to the middle school he finally waves at me when he's standing at the bus stop in the morning, but it was definitely awkward for those 2 years.
from teacherlady2 :
I don't mean to sound preachy, but not eating has a cumulative effect. You gradually break down your body, so it deals with going without food less and less efficiently. You will start to digest your muscle tissue and your blood sugar will get low. All of these things can cause the symptoms you're talking about. Just because you didn't have them last year doesn't mean you'll never have them from not eating. Your body is trying to grow and develop and you aren't feeding it like you need to. Something has to give and it will. I am speaking from experience here, if that means anything. Anyway, sermon is over :o) I hope things go like you want with Billy B.
from hamiltonian :
hmmmmmmmm..
from teacherlady2 :
Thanks for leaving me a note before Frances hit with all her premenstrual fury. It helped a lot to know I had people thinking of me. Now if I could only get power back *sigh* Hugs, Michelle
from epiphany :
hey, thanks for adding me as a favorite. by the way, i'm a "he". :)
from teacherlady2 :
Hey, I caught that movie you mentioned. It was pretty good. Did you enjoy it?
from teacherlady2 :
I'm glad you got your messages turned on. I tried to post one for you before, but to no avail. Thanks for putting me on your favorites list and reading my diary. I appreciate it! I've put you on my list and am enjoying your diary. I am a bit jealous that it sounds as though you haven't started school yet. I'm going on my 5th week of school this year. We start way early, but we get a week off in October, so that's okay.
from teachersrock :
If anyone has a note for me, you can feel free to leave me a note anytime. I'll send you one back! :)
