"Technoir" is the name of the club in "The Terminator" that Linda Hamilton sees Arnold Schwarzenegger for the first time. Then He blows the shit out of the bar. The scene looks almost exactly like the scene in "Scarface" where Al Pacino is ducking from his assassination attempt. I think Giorgio Moroder even did the music for both scenes. And if he didn't...well, it sure fucking sounded like it. All that "Early Techno" garbage...Jesus...
from girl-aflame :
Hehe, I usually do them both as well.
from keryanna :
Just because I've never heard the word before ... what does "toey" mean? I think I can gather it from its context - but a proper definition would set me straight. Then I can use it and sound worldly.
from girl-aflame :
Yup, it's your blog, do what you want with and in it. Obviously I don't really know you but I DO know that you aren't useless or low-rent, because all life is just teeming with potential, and history itself would be altered without the presence of each and every person who has ever lived. I know you probably don't think you matter, but you shouldn't believe everything you think.
from girl-aflame :
I know how you feel. People like you and me won't ever truly get away from our bad emotions. It's just up to us to decide whether we want to live with them, use the energy to accomplish something, or fight against them. For my part, though, I wouldn't trade it for anything else. My life fits my personality to a tee, and vice versa. I don't know if you'd call me "happy" but you could at least call me acceptant of my fate. I guess there's something in that. <3 you, Tech.
from girl-aflame :
.....moi?
from girl-aflame :
Intriguing idea to be sure. I could write a poem about it. I wrote something similar once, exploring Eve's motives, and the possibility that she knew full well what would happen and WANTED it to happen, so she could more fully appreciate life by knowing what death was. Veeeeery interesting, it all is.
from girl-aflame :
Well I'm interested, but you probably know that. For feedback from non-diaryland users (although we're almost in a bubble, really), I recommend getting a guestbook.
from squidge :
'Fuck it. I regret everything else. If only I could just fucking cry....' Said like a true...im not sure what you truly are, but whatever it may be, and when you find it out, please let me know, because i'm pretty sure i'm a bit of one too. Constant over stimulation numbs me. But whats scary, is how much you miss the numbness when the tears start falling. *Squidge*
from girl-aflame :
*giggles* wooooah... that would be awesome. I'll definitely give it some thought ;) - or if you could get your hands on a calling card, you could call me and we could have that debate we were supposed to have via messenger. Right now I'm having some issues with absolute / relative truth arising from my philosophy class... *dangles philosophical carrot enticingly above his nose* oOo.. pretty carrot..
from girl-aflame :
*laughs* oh nooooo... well, what am I talking about? With that accent, you can stalk me all you like.
from girl-aflame :
Thanks so much for wishing me luck *smiles* so sweet of you. I know that clawing at your skin feeling - here's hoping you feel comfortable in it again soon.
from girl-aflame :
*lesigh*
from girl-aflame :
And the entire female race breathes a collective sigh of relief. You've got a high marketability, you know that tech? *laughs*
from girl-aflame :
Hm, you left me a note and just left the default "sealed with a click" text in there. Since it's a pun, can I consider that like getting a kiss? *laughs*
from girl-aflame :
You are rich and complex. What a joy to find.
from girl-aflame :
Bruhaha. "You" is universal. The same can be said of anyone that you were in said relationships with; that they cause all THEIR problems. The truth is, we cause 98% of our own problems, which means that the solution to 98% of our problems lies within us. I'll agree with depressing phrases just as much as the next teenage blogger, but when they stop being self-deprecating and start affecting my chums, that's when I put my proverbial foot down.
from girl-aflame :
*grins* ohhhhh yeah, that's right, you're from Australia, you sexy beast. Grrrowl.
from girl-aflame :
Hehe, you can quote me anytime ;) really glad I struck a chord with you (although I certainly hope it wasn't an unpleasant, painful chord, with those memories of yours). But then, I did bookmark you because your thoughts of your previous emotional situations seemed so bizarrely similar to my own...
from girl-aflame :
Life is a tragedy to those who feel, and a comedy to those who think. Thanks for the reply.. unexpected but enjoyed ;)
from girl-aflame :
Get a guestbook and don't designate name as a required field? Ah hope ya aren't gonna leave D-land.
from girl-aflame :
Thanks for the guestbook entry *smiles* Sorry I didn't get back to you immediately. I was debating about whether I should download MSN. I think I am going to, though, because I have to open some new mail accounts to make up for when my AOL gets deleted when I go to college in Sept, and I like hotmail's interface better than yahoo. BUT I agree.. email is lovely and quaint, and a great way to philosophize, as it is such a blank canvass. I'm not too prompt with sitting down and writing mails, though. So I will definitely get back to you, I'm just not exactly sure what method yet. It will be one of them, though.. you are very intelligent and by God, I crave intelligent dialogue.
from girl-aflame :
I'd like to talk to you sometime on AIM, methinks. What's your SN? You can leave it in a private entry in my guestbook, if you wish. Or you can tell me to piss off, either one *laughs*
from girl-aflame :
Yours and my lives (I probably butchered the grammar on that.. bullocks.) seem SO parallel right now - so hang in there, I'm sending you good vibes, and I know how you feel. Irrevocable A vs. B choices really suck, don't they?
from girl-aflame :
My deepest sympathies.
from elliorange :
I love the quote you started your diary with: "Just know me, don't judge me."
from girl-aflame :
Holy crap! Your entry titled "Downward Ho" is so exactly like what's happening to me. My trouble is that I can't betray my feelings on the situation (or any other) but in my mind I know very well where it will lead, what it will cost, etc etc. I guess its not so uncanny because its probably not so uncommon but... it just blew my mind to run across it that way, put in front of me in articulated words.
