That is my mom, yes. And all my old emails work, but firstname DOT lastname AT gmail.com is newer and best. My Diaryland email should go there - when it feels like working - which it was this morning but has not somtimes in the past.

It wasn't about blame, but thank you for saying so. I'm not sure how to help things with our people - maybe write some more letters? Or maybe something less pretentious and passive-aggressive, however well-intentioned. Also, everyone isn't. Doing grand/having a plan, that is. A friend of mine from college, who I figured had his shit together, even he said we're all just treading water. I'm not sure whether that's comforting or not.

I was home only a short while, and it was family time for people (days before and after Christmas, and travel on the days before and after those), or at least it was for me. I'm sorry I missed YOU then, actually. I heard there was a New Years in New York planned - was it fun? We were hosting college friends here again. Hope all is well.

Being a tennis coach is so much fun and I miss doing it during the summer. Actually, I don't miss the kids or parents, just getting a tan and checking out the nannies.
