I'm so sorry to read those things about your father. I was in a similar situation a year ago last March, but the roles were reversed: I was dodging the blows of my mother. She had a bit of a mental breakdown. And when I say 'a bit' I mean 'completely', of course. Just know that there are others out here who are shunned by their families, and who have gone through problems with their parents. Once thing I've found useful about diaryland is that it reminds me that I am not alone.
