Hi
from browndamask :
Though we be Facebook friends, I got to poking around on here and remembered this is how we met many years ago. Nice to see you still update occasionally. This is Jen from Texas/ Ophelia79/SkatingParty
from girl101 :
dude, we're getting old. what's new with life!
from stardumb :
hey fb pal, had some catching up to do here... i think you're better off having milk and cookies. xo
from strayrecluse :
i know. once i forget enough...
from emofaith :
it has been over ten years... are there awards for this?
from orderwine :
well, no, not really.
from orderwine :
changing things and making things prettier while letting go and letting god?
from dramathighs :
that's funny... i have not been well since i can remember. have you?
from che :
thanks dude it all turned out ok
from strayrecluse :
thank you. xx
from avantbedroc :
sooo good to see your name in 'red'
from avantbedroc :
where is my john?
from stardumb :
interesting point. i thought it was about love coming to an end and for the unfortunate person who still loves the other-- it feels like death. but you're right about things having to "die" in you that do not match the Creator. he wants us to be like Him so unfortunately that involves some death in our soul. "he who loves his soul-life shall lose it" right? and you know the rest..
from opposure :
Hey, thanks for saying that. I'd like to think I could help. Feel free to email or note me anytime. I liked your poem.
from stardumb :
wow john, you're poem "love is death" is exactly what i'm going thru. who i thought was my "true love" ended up destroying me. i waited for him then found out he was with someone else, while i'd been pining, praying, wishing, dying for him. love really is death and you captured that so accurately in your poem. i'm having a hard time writing now cuz all my poems were about this creature who broke my heart. thanks for your beautiful poetry, i wish i had written that poem. :)
from avantbedroc :
can you mentor me too?? :-)
from avantbedroc :
oh JOHN!! you changed your profile!! i will miss "limb by limb and tooth by tooth"
from gonzoprophet :
to lash the emotion of loneliness to the fact that a person has their own individual experience of the world is contradictory, as that is the thing that should Connect people to one another the most. to think that you have no companions in life is a teenage illness that i truly wish people would cast aside. i wish you lovely people would cast it aside. breath, love, hate, the experience of life, is granted to every person that lives. you are connected and bound to them inextricably, for the mere act of being human. it's naive to know so little of the life existing around you that it seems as though you are legitimately alone. it's not a fact. it's an indulgence. but this is all, of course, just my experience of the world.
from avantbedroc :
john & Gonzo starring in... "LONELINESS - reality or illusion"
from opposure :
I have burner friends - it sounds interesting, but I am tied down at the moment.
from defaults :
it's a fact. we're only experiencing reality through each of our senses. odd to see how our perception changes when just one of them is hindered.
from dontremember :
real enough...
from gonzoprophet :
for me, it leads to occasionally seeking solitude like i seek water. and learning to be at ease with the person i become in the company of others. loneliness is an illusion
from idontpretend :
one step at a time is all you can do
from thisisjohn :
no one would believe us if we always told the truth.
from nativejedi :
ha! yeah... I had forgotten all about diaryland. Well, not really. I knew it was there, I just never thought to remind myself about it. Glad to be back though!
from avantbedroc :
dear mr john, do you have another diary?
from strayrecluse :
likewise. x
from lullaymarie :
You are phenominal
from avantbedroc :

from thisisjohn :

from flowermouth :
I like her too and I owe you an email--which, I promise, is forthcoming.
from stardumb :
yes. you're absolutely right. you keep it simple sometimes but the depths of your words are beyond measure and very beautiful. i admire you sometimes. "true" on november 13th was inspired by you... i spent like an afternoon writing to some of my fav journals. thanks. :)
from permeation :
Thank you.
from stardumb :
love your latest, your words are moving and beautiful. very enthralling. very beautiful. :)
from stardumb :
word. lol. "the word became flesh and tabernacled amongst us" -- somewhere in john. Jesus rules! :)
from in-alaska :
i don't know... i mean, sometimes it feels like at a distance is the worst place to be. but mostly i just feel like a failure wherever i am... thanks anyway!
from stardumb :
jesus is my favorite author too, altho he never really wrote anything, thru the prophets and disciples, yes, he wrote much. and did much. and his works are the notes, and the words are the chords, and the people are the songs, being written every day. :)
from emotionalist :
i live alone so it's boring without them
from emotionalist :

from erases :
thank you. i'll keep posting if you keep listening.
from deareddie :
I used to feel much more lame when I yammered on about consciousness of lost potential. Now, I just feel... Justified. I almost want to carry around a pair of my jeans from way-back-when so I can show them to people and say, "See?"
from gonzoprophet :
like lovely books.
from thisisjohn :
these notes make no sounds, no chords, no songs
from preppypunq :
actually its like the exact opposite of that last note, with its too many words. and even i have trouble comprehending it. i guess you have the ability to say just enough. and its beautiful. shutting up now. thanks for being the reason i check back here after years of inactivity
from preppypunq :
its an undefined awkward feeling, but i get it every time i read anything youve left here... a sense of feeling blessed or like someone is smiling at me,or possibly privileged, to be able to read what you have written. and each is better than the one before, and the one before as i go back is even better than the one after.
from unamerican :
enjoyed self-destructive. miss talking to you.
from lullaymarie :
Someone's got to do it:) Nice to hear from you. Keep in contact. God bless.
from lullaymarie :
