hey. i feel for you. i really do. i fell in love with a friend. i stupidly told him and he didn't feel the same. now it's been a year and i'm still trying to get over it. reading your journal entries has been a real comfort. i feel every word. i've also been downloading the songs you post which are awesome for the mood i'm in. here's one you might try if you haven't heard it already: breakdown by mariah carey.

something i believe really strongly in is the value of love in general. For me, knowing that i love someone, that i can produce that love, is something i value as much as being loved. I think when we're being hurt so much, we forget how much joy loving gives us, and how important it is even regardless of its gifts.

hey i happened to read an older entry and noticed you mentioned sigur ros. I know you're friend was the one who got the album (), but i was wondering if you are into them at all- a friend of mine just burned me it today actually, so it's sort of been on my mind. Anyway, just curious and thought i'd connnect.

Hmmm... 15 or 50... As someone who falls in between those numbers (albeit closer to the "distingushed" end...)I wonder which you'd find more appalling-- 15 or 50.

Hmmm... txt-messaging will indeed drive away geriatric stalkers... But what do you say when distinguished men in their 30s and 40s hit on you?

I understand. This is mostly why I write about art and politics and stupid things I say to my husband - I largely leave my real life out of it. I guess that's cheating, but not everything can be on the Internet. Hang in there.

It's not that i think that country music is horrible, it was sarcastic. It really just bothered me that this girl left to play her music so loud. If it was polka music I probably would have said that same things. I'm glad you enjoy Pete and Pete.

greetings from Seattle. We're about to go see the site of Twin Peaks. You sound like you need some relief! Try a Bella Lugossi (sp) film. They're hilariously spooky. I love the shifty sinsiter eyes and trap doors. Oh, and cool of you to quote my b'day card. Sorry to be so out of touch (promise to see you in August, upon return). Camped through Oregon wilds last week and got very very dirty! I love being very very dirty! Also poison oak (not fun). Love love, Minx

Hee hee! Ranting here keeps me from having to write a letter to the editor! I also tried joining the chatroom, but I always feel uncomfortable there. I think I'll stick to emails and messenger. Thank you for saying hello, it's fun to get a note!

yay for tv dinners! the actual dinners, i mean. i have a penchant for such corporate swill. and yay for you too. i couldn't believe 1133 people listed Amelie as a favourite movie. Diaryland is out of control. I just made my first entry in months since losing my internet, then computer, a while back. i chose the first name i liked to pester, on the Amelie list. I am forgoing listing any movies/music/books this time.
ps your picture is very nice too. there! i bothered somebody. i am completely satisfied now. okay, somewhat satisfied. it's been a pleasure.

Lisa, it's your birth-day! Happy birthday Li-sa!
(Please substitute "your name for 'Lisa'".
That is synergy between us. I'm loving the new Bust, incidentally. And I also saw MIIB this week.

This diary is great! I joined your Adult-Swim diary ring, and I wanted to know what genius started it. I started watching that Adult-Swim block to help cope with the loss of Dr. Katz Professional Therapist [did you watch that show?]. I started watching Home Movies, and then everything ellse. I'm not TV addicted, but I watch my fair share of shows. Do you watch things on Nickelodeon? I LOVE LOVE LOVE As Told By Ginger, Rocko's Mordern life, and Sponge Bob Sqaure Pants. I never miss ATBG though. South Park is another show I love. I watch cartoons mostly. My favorite show on now [actually I think they just cancelled it again] is The Family Guy. That is the best show ever! Well, thanks for putting the smile on my face and sparking great TV thoughts. Later.

My fiance is a film critic, so Netflix is probably the best thing that ever happened to him, after me. Maybe before me.
I thought of you tonight, because my roommate and I had an impromptu Buffy marathon. We couldn't deal with the bad television, so we watched The Body, something from the first season, and this year's season finale. And yeah - The Bourne Identity is fun. It's a little light, but it's really entertaining.

Awesome! What a great movie. I'll totally see anything with Gyllenhaal now. (Well, maybe not Bubble Boy). But yeah, Richard Kelly is really attractive. And super-talented. And he lives in Venice. Eh, eh?

i DEFINITELY need to adopt a health regimen as well. cheeseburgers and constantly sitting around definitely do not mix out here in the land of the beautiful. thanks for the welcome, though, and ill try to keep my tv-dinner consumption up, as long as the menu is healthy

Keith, my fiance, liked the short story collection a lot - I read the novella tucked into it in high school and enjoyed it. Sometimes, though, you just can't get into a book, no matter how good it is. I've been reading the End of the Affair since April, and I love Graham Greene. All the same, there's just too many distractions.
