Ps. I'm so sorry to read about your family friend, that's just awful. I hope you're able to spend time with them, if that's possible, and they're being made as comfortable as they can be xxx
from strawberrri :
Leo sometimes coerces me into playing a game at home where I have to be Scarface Claw, the cat from the Hairy Maclary books. Which is about as fun as it sounds :| We have another sick juror today but I'm hiding in a coffee shop to avoid having to go home to do said game. Haha! Xx
from strawberrri :
Crikey that feels a lifetime ago now! We had some drizzle but it wasn't too bad 😀 Then Leo got soaked in the "foam party" section of the farm, hahaha xxx
from strawberrri :
Thanks so much for the note and for thinking of me on my bday. I hope the anniversary wasn't too hard for you. I've just caught up on your entries, well done you for helping the motorbike boys, and Monkey is nearly 15 how!?! Love that you and Vanoonoo have become real-life friends too, that's so great :D Sending lots of love xxx
from vanoonoo :
Hugs x you’ve been a fantastic friend, always x
from strawberrri :
Thank you lovely, it must be so so hard for you, I send the biggest most giantest hug. Nothing can replace your mum. I miss Frank a lot but I've found it a little easier to accept he's gone recently. His birthday end of the month though, will make sure I pay tribute to it in some way xxx
from strawberrri :
Oh my love, you have been through a tremendous amount of loss. I am so sorry to hear you lost both your brother and mum, it's just awful beyond words. I hope time passing has helped the pain ease a little. I completely agree the little signs and messages are a great comfort. In my photos of my stepdad I ordered the one I wanted for my frame was creased (ONLY that one) so I'm thinking maybe he didn't approve of my choice! Xx
from strawberrri :
In short: a best friend behaved so appallingly last year I can never be her friend again. She regularly stalks me on d-land and I'm not sure how to address it. Talk about teenage-esque drama hey! Xx
from x-centricity :
Oh, Hun....I'm at a loss for words. I can't even imagine. *hugs*
from x-centricity :
I've been keeping track on Facebook, but I miss your narration and your inner thoughts and feelings on what's been happening this past year. I've missed you!
from skinnylizzie :
Thank you for the note my love, I know I've said it time and again but it really does help to read things like that, I still doubt what I did constantly and the support is such a reassurance :) As for the Builder, I try not to have any expectations. He's been wonderful so far (you know, apart from the obvious...!) and whatever happens I know I won't regret a minute I've spent with him, it's just that I know life doesn't always turn out how we want it to, nice as that would be! Right, I'm starting to head into mushy territory so I'm off to do something to toughen myself up quickly :) thank you again xxx
from x-centricity :
*hugs*
from skinnylizzie :
It's in a couple of weeks...I was alright when I booked it but now I'm bricking it! It's one of those annoying things where I know I'm good enough to pass, it just depends what the other beanheads on the road at that exact time do...thanks for the good luck though! xx
from realsnoopy :
I have not been on here for months and was so sorry to see what you wrote. As you know, it happened to me and hurts like hell. A pain like no other. I wish you luck and if giving it another try is what you want, I want it for you. Take care love, and the very best of luck to you.
from skinnylizzie :
I didn't want to write this on Facebook but I just wanted to tell you that I am sending you a million hugs and I am so sorry that this has happened, you deserve so much better. And if you ever need the number for a good hitman, come straight to me xxx
from leebeenz :
I don't know what to say, except that I am so, so sorry. I hope that you and the children will be okay. Thank goodness you have such a great support network. (((hugs)))
from x-centricity :
Oh, My Darling....I'm so sorry....I can't even imagine. I'm at a loss for words. *hugs*
from student-bum :
Oh god, I'm so sorry, that's awful :( Hope you're doing ok (well, as ok as you can be in these circumstances) xxx
from strawberrri :
how fucking horrendous! i wish you strength...you've done amazingly so far x
from skinnylizzie :
You're both very welcome, that picture enriches my life! xx (by the way, how is your little monkey man two already?!)
from strawberrri :
thank you! i hope you and your family have a fantastic xmas - you deserve it for being so fab :) xxx
from yelayna :
Oh angel, I wish I could give you a huge hug in person. Chin up - I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you that a) things get better soon in general and b) that K's op goes ok. In some respects, they have to tell you all the bad things, just in case, so it might not wind up as awful as it sounds. After all, there's a possibility it all might go well :) *huge hugs*
from lillymoon :
Big Hug! OMG I DO remember Dave from other blogs...Another Hug for you!
from strawberrri :
OMG, all of that sounds unbelievably shitty! I am glad K's going on the adolescent ward so hopefully that'll be less stressful than it otherwise would have been when the time comes (hopefully sooner rather than later). Sending big hugs and positive thoughts...I did laugh at "Fucky Slugslime MͨWankstain" though - best name ever xxx
from strawberrri :
thanks for your messages :) i thought the old dude might be someone out of last of the summer wine but percy sugden sounds plausible! don't know why anyone would make a keyring of him though! xx
from x-centricity :
I'm thinking about you, Hon. *huggles*
from realsnoopy :
OMG I'm sorry.
from x-centricity :
Oh, My Darling. I knew you were going through something harsh but I didn't want to pry. I'm so sorry. *hugs*
from strawberrri :
oh jesus, how horrendous. so sorry to hear about dave *big hugs* xx
from yelayna :
Oh Angel, I'm so sorry to hear that. I know things are peachy with newman, but it still hurts horribly when you hear something like that. I think you did the right thing. *big hugs* xxx
from skinnylizzie :
I always think it's better to mourn for somebody in the way most appropriate to both you and the relationship you had with them, different people work in different ways after all. I don't think I remember reading about Dave but all the same, I know that it can't have been an easy thing for you to find out, so I'm sending lots of hugs your way just in case you need them at any point xx
from strawberrri :
thanks so much. if i've learned one thing it's that i'm very resilient! i hope you, K, monkey and Newman are all well and happy xxx
from x-centricity :
Great entry! What a fabulous 2009. *huggles*
from x-centricity :
Have I mentioned lately how much I appreciate your wisdom? *huggles*
from strawberrri :
ahhh, nice people never get their statuses trashed by me...you're safe :D
from skinnylizzie :
I must've missed this on Facebook (I'm so oblivious with that damn thing, I still know all of my friends' gossip last) and I'm so sorry it's turned out with this outcome for her, but at the same time I'll be sending plenty of positive thoughts (no scientific proof that they work, but still nice to know people are thinking of you I guess!) your family's way. K seems like a total trooper and I hope the operation goes well for her. You four seem like such a lovely family, and whilst I'm not sending good thoughts to you about K's op shall I wish for you to win the lottery for some good news in the meantime?! x
from x-centricity :
I'm still confused about alcohol and breastfeeding. If you have a hangover the next day, is it ok to breastfeed? Thanks for the info. It's so nice to discuss these things with other moms.
from strawberrri :
hehe thank you! btw, jenn's camera not mine, so NOT GUILTY YOUR HONOUR :D x
from x-centricity :
I think the 6 week rule is pretty standard here in the states, but I had a nasty second degree tear and lots of stitches so they really wanted me to wait. Good thing the hubby is patient.
from skinnylizzie :
Haha, then I in turn think said fifteen year old is also extremely cool if she likes both seals AND Zac Efron! And it is comforting to know that I'm not alone in the world! x
from leebeenz :
Thank you so much for your note!! It is so nice to hear from people who read my diary. If it's okay, I plan to read all your earlier entries and add you to my buddy list.:)
from second-love :
Im soooooooooooo happy you have fallen in love! Thats awesome!
from student-bum :
Aw poor K :( My mum has something similar, she had to go to so many back specialist peeps. One day when I was about 15 she came into my room and said, "Take your top off and bend over". Which was odd but you know, you do what your mum says so I did. Then she said she was checking my spine wasn't curved as I'd have a 1/4 chance of inheriting it. Anyway. All the best for K and R and I hope you enjoy your date tomorrow ;) Oh the things that can be done in an hour...! xxx
from x-centricity :
Love you!!!
from casa-rosie :
Having trouble with haloscan today, it hates me. Anyway, on the colicky thing, when Meg was a baby, she all of a sudden got colic, and since I was breastfeeding her, I had to figure out what I was eating that was bothering her! Turns out I was taking some iron pills, and they were just too much for her little tummy! I stopped taking them, and Voila! No more colic. Believe, me, I was relieved. Don't ever tell on me, but there was one night that playing Scarlett O'Hara falling down the staircase was lookin' pretty good to my sleep deprived self! You might check your diet for something that may be affecting the baby.
from missbabybump :
Hey, I know you weren't being condescending, it doesn't sound likely but they are 100% real smiles! For tickles and when Daddy calls him! I'm paying no attention to the milestone dates, so I'm happy in the knowledge they've been real smiles =O) x
from student-bum :
Oh I hear about this a lot on my course! It's surprisingly common, even if a baby is planned. This isn't exactly in-depth but at least it shows it's not an unusual problem: [http://baby.livingchaos.co.uk/after-giving-birth/not-bonding-with-baby.asp] I'm glad you are starting to bond with him, and I certainly haven't lost any respect for you! Of course you need something back, it's so wearing just giving and giving without getting anything back. The fact he has problems feeding can't be helping :( Hopefully the fact you've been on this difficult journey together will help you to bond. I really hope things get better soon xxx
from skinnylizzie :
How could anybody lose any respect for you over that, you silly sausage?! I've never had a baby so I can't even begin to imagine how it can turn your world upside down and inside out, but I do know that a couple of girls I know who have children said they just didn't feel an instant bond with their child because although it was their baby, it was still a stranger, a totally new human being to learn all about, and they said they often felt overwhelmed. I know this probably won't help at all, but I just wanted you to know that you're definitely not alone (which I'm sure you knew already), and I respect you even more for being honest about how you feel and being willing to share it :)
from strawberrri :
thanks, things seem to be looking up :) hope everything is great with the 4 of you!
from missbabybump :
Congrats!!! He's just gorgeous!!! xXx
from student-bum :
Ach Christmas cards are the most overrated thing ever, I've not sent any for about 3 years and no one I know cares (or notices). I think it's lovely you're giving to the GOSH, make sure you include a donation on my behalf! I'm going charity mad this year, I'm getting Dum and Mad an Oxfam Unwrapped gift this year as well as Colin's sponsored dog. (Though I'll be getting my mum something additional, she rather likes the present bit...)
from x-centricity :
I always thought Jason was mentally unstable and I am so glad you are rid of him and now have someone that is worty of you. *hugs*
from skinnylizzie :
Oh, what an absolute dick and tosspot of the first degree, I hope a pigeon poos on his head sometime in the very near future. He is so not worth any of your time or energy (I know you know that already, but I'm mad on your behalf!). But on the good side of things, congratulations on the official engagement! :)
from second-love :
Screw Jason...what an ASS!!!!!!! Its obvious he is totally jealous of your life and immature to the point of ridiculousness. Thank GOODNESS you are no longer involved with him. I am so happy you have Newman and that your life is finally taking a wonderful, happy turn. You GO girl! :)
from student-bum :
Aaw you're actually the sweetest person ever! Though Newbaby already has two brilliant role models in his/her parents!
from student-bum :
If you can hold off giving birth for 2 days after your due date you baby and me will be exactly 20 years apart! So don't push too hard ;) xxx
from spring-da1sy :
Thanks. We did have the talk, and we now have a better understanding of the situation between us. Still no activity, though! Also, I've unlocked again-I couldn't get in myself, and I don't have time to play with it.
from skinnylizzie :
It is absolutely, definitely harder to write good entries when you're happy for some weird reason! I neglect mine terribly when I'm having a good time. And oh, High School Musical...I'm surrounded by merchandise for it at work and yet I've never even seen a second of it (but despise it with a passion on principle!)
from strawberrri :
aww thank you. i suppose some people get freaked out at the thought of stopping and helping out a stranger! i am pretty hardy though :) can't wait for more of your updates regarding the impending little one! x
from casa-rosie :
Well, he calls you Caroline on his diary...so I figured I'd go with that! I'm just happy that YOU are happy.
from randomrabbit :
I have been watching Rory and Paddy. It's wonderful to see the proud and ancient sports of Dwile Flonking and cheese rolling finally getting some coverage. This is what sport should be like - a load of men getting drunk making tits of themselves. This is where lottery sports funding should be going not on silly things like jogging. Double Gloucesters for all!
from skinnylizzie :
Aww thank you my lovely, and that is definitely the kind of punishment that the stupid morons deserve quite frankly! Although I might slam their head in a car door first so they get some idea of what it feels like before the crowbar disappears where the sun don't shine...
from student-bum :
Aw I'm so glad you're ok, and the baby too! xxx
from tallships :
Congratulations! Woo hoo... A miraculous conception obviously. I know you'd never agree to sex before marriage. ;-) I'm thrilled for you... been quite a year hasnt it?
from skinnylizzie :
I know I said it before, but I can't help it, I've got to say it again - congratulations!!!!!
from strawberrri :
congratulations again! do keep us updated with all the baby happenings. and that's a lovely pic :D xx
from student-bum :
I said it before but I'll say it again: :D YAY!
from randomrabbit :
Awww no don't say that! They're very well behaved and about 3 million miles up the garden! just think of them as kitties but with feathers. And a beak. Will you name me one? Pretty please with pretty pink things on?
from strawberrri :
yes, it was the right decision - i've been of that opinion for some weeks now. he's not an amazing or particularly nice specimen of humanity, but i think justice has been done :)
from skinnylizzie :
Haha, if it makes you feel any better my town is CONSTANTLY the butt of jokes the whole world over, at least you don't have to put up with fish jokes on a daily basis! And thank you for the tip on how to not smell biscuity, is it wrong that I'm actually considering it?! And yes, to echo the thoughts of other people, you are definitely not allowed to stop writing here because you always make me chuckle (my favourite bit is still definitely that subject title with the bit about the time between menstruating...cracks me up every time I think about it which kind of makes me look like the resident crazy lady...)
from mpeacock :
I am so glad you found happiness, and I like your rants!
from life-my-way :
I just checked out the boy's diary, it appears that you need to update more and more often!!! Big news--congrats!
from skinnylizzie :
Nestle clusters, good choice! I'm just about to post possibly the world's longest and most boring entry about it. I could've condensed it but you know what I get like. By the way, you need to update, I miss reading your entries!
from liesal1979 :
I love you too xxxxxxxx
from skinnylizzie :
Haha, thank you! Thankfully the hamster cheek has all but gone now, but I assure you it wasn't at all cute when it was around!
from strawberrri :
heeee, thanks. i can't wait for more to happen! still emailing each other everyday and he is lovely :) anyway, it was so weird at first being in 'that case' and it being prominent in the papers and on the news. i'm not as bothered now and am just like 'oh my trial's on the front page again.' but it is still a fantastic case to be in, i'm so lucky! :) xxx
from strawberrri :
thanks for my FB message! :) i'm sure i said this last year but i remember my bday is the same day as your dad's anniversary. so i hope you aren't feeling too sad xxx
from skinnylizzie :
Oh, your poor mum, my thoughts are with her. But on a positive note, the happy stuff sounds REALLY happy, I'm glad that's all going well for you! :)
from student-bum :
Good lord, I hope your mum makes a speedy recovery. Sounds like a total nightmare :( BUT hurrah for the newman! And a fourth, eh...? Aw, it's all so wonderful!
from portia12 :
Glad to find your diary again! I will have some catching up to do :) I deactivated facebook for my own good, too addictive! Thanks for the note and wishing all the best for your mom.
from randomrabbit :
Ah, sorry about that! You and your bloody dialup! But look on the bright side - I did narrow it down from the 400 odd pics we took otherwise you'd have still been there at bedtime! No offence to Middlesbrough of course, but I think it's best viewed from a very long way away. The closer-up ones were all smoking chimneys and gave the impression that it might be a bit of a skanky shit hole, which I'm sure it isn't!
from strawberrri :
sory it's taken me about 8 million years to reply. yeah, the steno's the one from america. just glad it arrived intact and actually works. i typed 30,000 words on that baby yesterday! x
from skinnylizzie :
Oh gosh, my head knows you're talking sense, but my burning loins are ruling the roost right now...who was it that said it's only men that think with their crotches?!
from skinnylizzie :
Haha, your vote for Hot Boy has been duly noted! By the way, I don't think I ever said it after I noticed on Facebook, but hurrah for the Newman situation!
from strawberrri :
ps. (hehe sorry, i reply to my notes first then read diaries later!) i'm sure your mum understands, and it is definitely not worth putting K at any form of risk. hospital staff are kind and caring and i'm sure they will be treating her like a princess. and congratulations re: newman. that's wonderful xx
from strawberrri :
yeah, wouldn't mind something a bit lighter, like the heady days of trials about jif lemons, or dangerous driving of a tractor around canning town roundabout (both true stories) and such at my old court. sadly the OB specialises very much in murder! i felt sorry for the jury in my trial cos it must be so difficult, knowing that it's your decision that's seeing kids face life imprisonment, even though it's the right thing. (the barrister reckons the ones who've been convicted of murder will face 12 years minimum...which can only feel like forever when you're 14 years old) x
from student-bum :
Virtual hugs to your mum, I know a bit about PET scans through my course and I know the dye etc is pretty gross. But WOOOOOOOO, something amazingly good! :D I'm so happy for you x
from bitterwineuk :
sending your mum even more good wishes for her scan. xxx
from strawberrri :
*hugs* xx
from skinnylizzie :
Oh, I shall be sending many virtual hugs in both your and your mum's directions and keep my fingers crossed that she manages to kick its backside. You win the award for truly horrible week, so I shall hope that this next one treats you a little better!
from student-bum :
*hugs* bad things seem to come in threes, don't they! And plus one. I really hope that something amazing happens soon xxx
from strawberrri :
thanks, i'll have a think about which one :) it's not a massive amount though i'm afraid! probably a tenner or thereabouts. i had an each way bet and don't really understand the rules!
from strawberrri :
no i meant it! i want to give it away, any suggestions for a charity? :) x
from strawberrri :
the horse i bet on came in second...if you like, would you pick a charity for me and i'll give my winnings to it?
from strawberrri :
3 a year, that's awful :(
from strawberrri :
do you feel this passionately about other horse racing/polo/sports, or is it just the grand national? (i've put a bet on...please don't judge me!) x
from strawberrri :
ah it's not creepy, just very inappropriate. i have made it clear i don't want to get involved with a married man. lawyers just have FAR more money than sense! ps. i'm so glad your little girl's ok after what happened at the fair xx
from student-bum :
Oh god, I'm so glad she's alright! That must have been so scary. It's good that people were on hand to help out though. I hope she's fully recovered now :)
from student-bum :
Ah the north's great, and that barman is clearly a sex-starved arse ;) Glad things are going well with Newman!
from strawberrri :
heya, sorry for not adding you to my list earlier, didn't realise this was your new permanent home! :)
from azzweepay :
Yeah, it does have an invisible mode now. When it was premiered, it did not. I wrote a letter to Andrew complaining about it. He sent me a computer generated email back telling me thanks for my feedback and leading me to believe it fell on deaf ears. Then he offered the invisible mode. I don't need it but I'm glad it's an option for those that do.
from skinnylizzie :
Haha, I loved that note! The poor boy, he must think I'm nuts so I probably wouldn't blame him if he didn't even want to be in the same room as me!
from second-love :
Yummy :)
from amb1valent-k :
Thanks! xx
