from strawberrri :
bit of a shot in the dark but do you write anywhere else these days? would be nice to know what you're up to :) (sarah20 AT gmail.com)
from sir-jeremy :
Jeremy's new journal is at all-for-not. Raederle's journal is for-you-only. Or you can check out http://artphoenix.diaryland.com. Neat journal you have... Cheers!
from whangdoodle :
Got your email. The answer to your question is no. Please redo. Excited to hear from you. XOXO
from whangdoodle :
It's so sad to have you leave. One hates when their anonimity (sp?) is gone. Come back with a new Diaryland profile, only email us with the new name.
from daisy624 :
I FINALLY get off my butt and start logging in again and you're gone!! Well, I hope everything is well on your side of the world, feel free to drop me an e-mail sometime!
from fairyfish :
Email is winging its way to you, Cx
from fairyfish :
Just when I sort my life out and come back more regularly you leave us *sniff* Hope you come back soon, even if as a reincarnation. Hope you're alright xx
from gaja :
Aww, I'm sorry to see you go. Where am I going to get 95% of my OddGoogles from NOW? :(
from blueballsday :
Hey, it's X here. I come back to diaryland - and find you've disappeared! Can you please drop me an email or a note? Whether you ever have a new diary or not I'd really like to keep in touch xx
from princesse69 :
sorry you had to take your diary down. if you are making a new diary could you please let me know? ♥ sharon x x x
from stuthesheep :
Gutted you've moved on - I don't know who I'm going to gloat to about AFC Wimbledon's inevitable glory season now?! Hope everything turns out nice for you etc - it could be worse, your national side could get beat by Northern Ireland....Seriously, all the best mate.
from yeahimadork :
*sigh* Where have you gone? Have you moved to a super-secret location? I am always afraid I am going to get googled and found, too. If you come back let me know your new name. :)
from neon-bitch :
oh, shiiaaat. D:
from amethyst2 :
Are you setting up camp somewhere else? This is what happens when I go on vacation...
from cybersyd :
Crap! But you were one of the sweet guys. Well, you know where I am, email me with your new location if you have one.
from sparwhore :
oh :(
from moviegrrl :
{{{hugs}}} good luck babe, and yes should you pop up anywhere else, do let me know
from ann-frank :
Gah, well, let me know if you pop up anywhere else. email me and let me know and I swear not to tell!
from im2evil4u :
NO! Please tell me this is a dream.
from neon-bitch :
oh, okay. <3 well, if you really want to read it, the user is deus and the pass is exmachina. hooray anti-marriage. :D
from hissandtell :
No! Are you leaving, or just locked, darling? Please let me know how to get in, or if you're coming back, or whatever. I enjoy your writing so very much, and I fear I don't tell you that anywhere near often enough. Much love, R xxx
from goddesskiki :
I guess the old saying that good things come to those who wait applies here. Congrats on getting a ticket to the play! I've never heard of the author or the play, but it means a lot to you, so that makes me happy. =)
from neon-bitch :
sorry, i don't know if i know you. do i know you? or, a better question: do you know me? any particular reason why you want to read my diary? because it's actually qutie boring. i'm rambling. but yes. what? okay. </confusion.
from misstrish :
I'm trishthestar at lj, if you ever come over to the dark side be sure to add me! xx
from ambershine :
Thanks :). Hope you like what will come in the future, what ever that may be!
from sparwhore :
oh i see, not so bad then. that's good. how does it feel to be without BB?
from sparwhore :
do you phone random people & take surveys? that sounds rubbish.
from sparwhore :
i have changed my mind, she's a dirty girl. i went to a viking museum in york when i was a kid & they even tried to make the viking smell. my mum said it smelt like fruit, i thought it smelt more like poo
from sparwhore :
2 things really: 1) would love to talk about Vikings! 2) Kinga should've been up with the rest of them in the first place. Have you ever seen Orlaith smile?... I didn't think so
from amethyst2 :
You're the only person I know who uses the term 'moseyed.' I'm secretly impressed.
from oldmaid :
thank you for the note - you are very sweet!
from cornflake1 :
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=shipper (the first and second definitions) ;)
from justvisiting :
Thanks, Jess. You're the best.
from studio-66 :
oh yeah that Vinnie Jones film!! Yes, a friend of mine in Holland mailed me the film, but i never had a chance to convert it yet. I've heard that its really good, better than The Football Factory. xox Julia
from sparwhore :
Still do
from sarkasmo :
I miss living in a place where there's decent mass transit. Cincinnati's buses are impossible to understand. It seems like the only time they go to a place is when I'm driving there anyway. The bus schedules are written in some weird code, and the routes go absolutely nowhere useful. We don't have a train or a subway, either. Sorry for venting; I'm just so jealous that you can actually catch a bus to and from work (even if you may end up having to wait around for it). Around here, if you find a bus stop, there's no way to know which bus is showing up or where it will take you until the bus actually stops.
from sparwhore :
I read antony & cleopatra for my a-levels
from stuthesheep :
If only Eugene had been in the house from the start, there would have been a Tickle-esque cult sweeping across the land right about now...However, I still want Science the Great to win, he's one of my favourite contestants ever!
from yeahimadork :
Thanks for adding me to your favorites!! I am going to have to start reading up on your diary, I think. ;)
from heidiann :
I am indeed sticking around at this diary address. I refuse to give it up! =)
from kellbelle :
Of course that's okay!! LOL I still have all my favorites here that I still read, but I'm slowly adding them over to the new site :)
from sparwhore :
Hey you! Just thought I'd let you know that I'm back (again) if I don't forget anyway
from cornflake1 :
*passes Jess an ice cold cola* thank you for the congrats! :D xx
from fairyfish :
I will be back I promise, just have no pc access at work or at home at the moment so will come and go for a bit (have to take advantage of the olds internet access at the moment!). But as Arnie once said "I'll be back"!!
from yeahimadork :
I have not seen Closer (but it's coming soon from Netflix), mostly because I just really hate Julia Roberts, and looking at her makes my eyes burn. But man oh, man, do I love me some Clive Owen (Jude Law's not so bad either - I am a sucker for the British boys).
from clarity25 :
Thanks for the correction..damn, some people are so smart. I just collect these facts and believe them:).
from ishouldcry :
oh bum. Was it a good un? Was there a fight or something? I like it when everyone goes crazy. *:0). Note me. Becca
from justvisiting :
Thank you for the kind remarks. Glad you're well, given recent events - I wasn't sure whether or not you're working in London these days. Take care, J.
from amethyst2 :
Thanks for the well wishes... I'm glad everything turned out all right for you as well, given recent events. My sympathies are with you.
from bluemeany :
Thanks for the love!
from stuthesheep :
I have now joined the Melbourne diaryring. Bring it on! Science to win BB..Take care
from hissandtell :
What a dreadful business. I'm thinking of you, sweetheart. Love, R xxx
from creme-egg :
I hope that everyone you know is safe and well. X
from weeme :
O Jess... you flashed immediately to mind when I heard of the explosive attacks in London this morning (pretty much the moment I opened my eyes). Please tell me you and yours are okay! Be well, be safe. xo
from sarkasmo :
Congratulations! I just read that London gets the 2012 olympics!
from crazy4muffin :
Your shift swap debacle sounds like my office. I still have not calculated the number of obstacles one place can put in the way of me 1. doing my job, and 2. enjoying. What a goat rope!
from bitterwineuk :
Think your predictions for BB are spot on though I would love to see a shock double eviction tonight that even Davina didn't see coming. That would be funny. I like Makosi and I think she's playing great. Would like to see her win but think Kemal might make it. But I am usually very wrong. now watching 8 out of 10 cats. Thats bloody funny. Have a fab weekend. Becca
from sarkasmo :
I hate shift swaps. They're nothing but trouble where I work, too. And it makes me even sadder to hear that the tedium of workforce planning stretches across oceans. :(
from cornflake1 :
Could I pretty please have a link to your poetry site too? I've never been able to write poetry myself, but I like reading other people's. :)
from hissandtell :
Just catching up on your recent entries now, darling - so, are you a cowboy? And I'm glad you enjoyed seeing England crush the Aussies, mate, because it'll be your last chance to gloat for a good many years! (Yeah, if you think I don't mean what I say and I'm only bluffin'...) Hope you enjoy Chas and Dave, sweetheart. Love, R xxx
from bitterwineuk :
hello, long time no chat. How u enjoying this years BB? I think it's the best yet. Who do you want to win this year as you normally back a winner? :) Becca
from amethyst2 :
Hey, I've taken diaryland back up and I just wanted to let you know that you're my British fix and I'm still reading your lovely slang-filled diary.
from invisibledon :
hey
from sarkasmo :
Man, that sounds like an AWESOME trip. And I hate when hotels have loose doorknobs - I used to work in one, and my manager had to switch out doorknob assemblies on the room knobs everyday because people stole the keys (this is before card keys became the norm). He'd always make sure the knobs were tight because otherwise the guests would call me in the middle of the night asking for maintenance. There's no excuse for bathroom knobs being like that, though. Oh, and one other thing: you think YOU have trouble finding real ale? Serously. You LIVE THERE.
from gaja :
Sadly, I have no idea which is better, 1 or 5. I always go with 5, though, cause it just seems like higher #'s should be better. Thanks for voting either way though. Very with the happy scree. *scree!* And, have a safe trip. Or hope you had one. Something like that.
from blue-satin :
thanks for the note. hope you enjoy your trip and are doing well. love, e.
from sarkasmo :
aww, i'm sorry about katherine...but hey, you got tickets! woo!
from sexychelle :
Hun with friends like that your better off without them, Hope your next weekend off is better mind you does not sound like it could be worse Big Kiss Just for you and enjoy the holiday from your folks
from sarkasmo :
Oh, my, what a terrific saga! The last time I endured a drunken barrage of accusations like that, I was an exchange student in Germany (and to be honest, I deserved every bit of it because I'd gotten drunk and made out with my host brother right in front of his girlfriend). Sorry about the Big Brother thing, too. I've never watched it, but that's not to say that the British one isn't better than ours.
from sarkasmo :
WOOO, nice new layout, and kudos for the rockwell lyrics in the title. Also, mucho congratulations-o on your official promotion! If your call center is like mine, the turnover rate is phenomenal and you automatically have seniority just for surviving probation!
from creme-egg :
Yes, I did watch it. Israel should've won! XXX
from lifeasme66 :
Just wanted to say thanks for the add! The pleasure is all mine =) I'll be checkin' you out this weekend ;) **HUGS!!**
from strawberrri :
Cheers matey! And here's hoping this year's BB is as good as the last one!
from lorster :
Thanks. Just... well... Thanks. :)
from oldmaid :
thanks for the note! we absolutely loved london - you're so lucky to have lived there!
from sarkasmo :
Damn Nobby.
from sexychelle :
Hey Jess I was in southampton and watching that very show on may 18th loved it , speak soon sexy xxx
from sarkasmo :
w00t, congratulations on passing probation. i used to work in a call center...well, i still do, but now i'm emailing instead of working the phones. now, instead of listening to their accents, i get visual, text-based proof that they have no idea what they're saying. i'm also fairly sure they'll have trouble reading anything that's not written in crayon, but i reply anyway. =\
from cornflake1 :
Aw, thanks Jess! You rock :) I'm hanging in there, will have a great big champers-and-sleep celebration when I'm done.
from goingloopy :
Thank you for the birthday wishes, and happy (belated) birthday yourself!! People with May birthdays rule. :) xoxo
from sarkasmo :
Is it just me, or did it sound like Bill WANTED you to ask about Rachel? =\
from hissandtell :
Happy Birthday! (Yes, it's late: sorry.) Now I feel really bad I didn't send you a card with a badge on it (or even a badger), but I expect you're far too bladdered by now to really mind too much. Have a wonderful weekend celebrating, darling. Love, R xxx
from elliorange :
Happy Birthday! I hope you've enjoyed your special day.
from goddesskiki :
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I hope this year is filled with joy for you! =)
from misstrish :
Aw, dude, you got Jaffa Cakes?? I'm jealous! xx
from cornflake1 :
Happy birthday!! :)
from sarkasmo :
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! *hugs*
from misstrish :
Happy Birthday!! Have a great day! xx
from im2evil4u :
Damn, I wanted to be first (12:14am). Happy Birthday!! How does "it" feel? Let me know so I can prepare.
from elvollo :
Happy Birthday!!
from goddesskiki :
Mobile phone bills are so much fun. I never quite know if I want to open mine or not because I never know if I've violated some sacred rule or another with the stupid company. Sometimes technology isn't so much fun.
from hissandtell :
Hi - thanks so much for reading me. I'm actually laughing over your huge bill for vote-casting on Fame Academy - last night my husband told me I should phone up so our state's restaurant doesn't get thrown off "My Restaurant Rules" this week and I said, "Sure - what budget range do you want me to go for? At 55c a minute - is $55 okay?" and he spluttered and said, "Um, don't worry about it." LOVE your Route 66 template, too. I'll come back soon to read more of your diary. Love, R xxx
from studio-66 :
Hey there, Jess! Have a Groovy time on your Birthday!!!!!x0x hugs; Julia
from im2evil4u :
Interesting, you'll be 34 exactly 9 days before me and we are nearly exactly alike (at least according to that Internet thing-a-ma-bob). Very cool.
from sarkasmo :
In Ottawa, there's a bar called Zaphod Beeblebrox, and apparently they DO serve a pangalactic gargleblaster there. I have not, however, heard of a Milliways yet. Next time I visit Canada, I plan to stop by Zaphod's. Everyone's invited! (I just don't know when that'll be!)
from sir-jonny :
Thanks alot for the birthday note, AND for signing the petition!! I've decided I will give it to her tonight because she can't say no to me on my birthday! That would be wrong :D heheh. -Fran
from krugerpak007 :
Hi Jess, thanks for stopping by. And for your note. Take care. xoxox
from sarkasmo :
Thanks for the note, and nice to meet you! Yay!
from elvollo :
aw, thanks Jess. We'll have to create a "permanent status - singleton" club or something!
from creme-egg :
Thanks Jess!! XX
from kellbelle :
Hi there :) Thanks for signing my guest book. Yes the funny symbols are anti google :)
from moviegrrl :
I'm getting it through HMV, as a pal still works there...
from moviegrrl :
hey babe - just thought I'd let you know, Siobhan heard Debbie Loves Joey on the radio on thursday and ADORED it - we've been singing the chorus together all weekend. Yup she's still only 4, but my god she's got good taste...
from lorster :
Ok, so it's only a couple weeks late... I really, really wanted to thank you for the birthday wishes. It meant the world that you'd take the time to leave me a note! Hope that you're doing well, Jess.
from studio-66 :
hiya, thanks so much for wishing me a happy birthday :) hope you are doing fine, & im sorry to hear about your grandma! luv n hugs to ya! julia x0x
from goddesskiki :
I'm sorry to hear about yoru grandmother. *hugs* You have my condolences.
from me-in-munich :
Really sorry to hear about your Gran - I know how you feel, mine died at the beginning of Feb. No, I haven't decided to give up my diary, I've just been swamped with my dissertation and haven't got round to writing for a loooooong time. Diss is to be handed in on Tuesday though, so I'm hoping to put up an entry pretty soon after that. The entry you missed was only a test entry, as a friedn of mine whated to know if my RSS feed worked... Happy Easter, Love K
from princesse69 :
Hope you have a Happy Easter too Jess! xxx
from weeme :
O Jess... I hope you have a lovely Easer yourself. Perhaps with some of those Cadbury Creme Eggs you're so fond of! Personally, they make my teeth ache... I love the Cadbury Mini Eggs... the ones with the hard speckley shell. But you Brits know how to do chocolate right... Fry's Orange Creams, Turkish Delight, Flakes.... mmmmm/ You can get Flakes here pretty readily, but they're either made in Ireland or Toronto and just don't taste the same. There's a Fish and Chip shop here (with the strangest hours ever) that sells chocolates imported from England, but they cost the earth. Still, whenever we get some fish, I always make sure to get myself an Orange Cream! look at me, ranting on about chocolates. I'm half stoned on cough syrup and a bit on the blurry side. Nonetheless, Hoppy Easter Jess, my mate!
from usmcsis :
hey, i forgot to come over here and tell you, the christmas tree has been laying in the dining room floor since the day my mom decided she needed a new couch. *shrugs* last year, we just left it up all year. it was a hell of a lot easier! ~ cindy
from goddesskiki :
Hey Jess! I'm leaving for London in a couple of days. I wanted to know if you had any suggestions for must-do's while in the city. Also--any good pub or club recommendations? I can't believe I'll be in the UK so soon! Squee!
from fairyfish :
Hey! Thanks for the b'day message. Think I could possibly still be drunk but never mind!!
from goingloopy :
Giving up chocolate?? I'm with your friend, six hours is too long. :) I was a little behind on everyone's diaries, because I was busy playing video games and moping, but I just caught up...love the random act of kindness, I'm so stealing the term "arsebiscuits", and look for my likes on the 50 list soon. Is it bad if there are a lot of them I'll be underlining? Hehehe.
from frozen-vodka :
I'm keeping frozen-vodka open, and plan to until Diaryland shuts down...
from danish-chic :
Thanks, I'll carry on reading yours and I'll keep in touch! Play up Pompey! Alice xxx
from cybersyd :
That is such a sweet story! I love it when random people do nice things. *feels all fuzzy*
from woweezowee :
So...liking a bunch of songs on that list is a bad thing? I've got about 13 of them. =) I might put that list up on my lj.
from im2evil4u :
Hey thanks for pointing that out. I can't stop writing 2004 to save my life.
from justvisiting :
Happy Valentine's Day!! xoxo, Jocelyn
from moviegrrl :
"Hurt" is actually a Nine Inch Nails song, and a damn fine one at that. Cash has also covered "Rusty Cage" by Soundgarden, "Thirteen" by Danzip, and my other personal favourite "Personal Jesus" by Depeche Mode. (Shows up Marilyn Manson's version up for the shouty goth nonsense it is - have you ever noticed when his career is really flagging he covers a BRITISH song. Lazy bugger... </rant>)
from msmmack :
It must have been a really good CD : )
from msmmack :
Ok, You've got to help the Yankee... What does "snog" mean? I've got my ideas, but I want to be sure before I use it in sentences, ha ha.
from justvisiting :
You're the best. xoxo
from cyberpurple :
Just found you and wanted to say hi. I liked what you wrote about Closer... I didn't realise there was a stage play and was intrigued to here the ending was different. I didn't think the ending of the film worked for me.
from marieedusept :
Hi, Jess! Thanks so much for dropping in to see my diary! ***Heather***
from rentfreak82 :
GUESS WHAT?!?!?! I'm going to be in ENGLAND in a month or so... As soon as I find out more details, I'll let you know. I'll fly out of Chicago and be on a plane forEVER but I'll be in England. Drop me a note and let me know where you are and possibly we'll get a drink or two if you're close to where I'll be... :)
from goingloopy :
What happened to the new template? And I hope you win tickets, and that your team wins the match...even though I could care less about football (British OR American...hehehe.) ;)
from clarity25 :
I never saw the stage play version of "Closer", I didn't even know it existed! Is it still being performed? I agree that Natalie Portman was amazing in her role and I agree about Julia Roberts not quite fitting. You had an interesting take on the moral, That's another way of looking at it too. There's so much one can get out of that film. Oh, and I meant to tell you this earlier..but I really like your new template!
from goddesskiki :
I'm jealous that you saw the stage play. Lucky! I would almost rather see that than the movie version. I haven't seen the movie yet, I think I'll just rent it. But both Natalie and Clive won Golden Globes for their performences, so my curiousity is piqued.
from pisceanlore :
Yeah, Julia Roberts is one of those movie stars, not an actress. She is always herself and not the character she plays. I wasn't a huge fan of Jude Law in "Closer" either, but Clive and Natalie were awesome. And yeah, GWB is an idiot and I'm ashamed to be from the same country as him.
from kylieee :
hey remember when you used to read my diary? i was reading my old entries and i found the ring that was made after me and you were on the list. sorry my diary is boring these days.
from chelzey :
Thanks for changing me on your buddy list hope all is well with you and still reading xx
from rentfreak82 :
Hey Jess- Hope all is grand across the sea... Things are alright here (Had a tiff with the mister) but everything is heading upwards. Hope you feel better soon! Try some vaporub, I love that stuff! XOXOX & Love, Miss
from chelzey :
hello just to say changed diary site now moved from sexychelle to chelzey so drop by sometime be good to hear from you chelle xxx
from misstrish :
Yay for Big Brother to distract me from revising! xx
from goddesskiki :
I'm liking the new layout! Everytime I look at the heading on the title bar, I get that 80s song in my head...Happy/Miserable 2005!
from goingloopy :
Like the new template...and what do you mean, you couldn't finish fried food when you're drunk? However, I like "Miserable New Year"...or at least my inner cynic does. :)
from sparwhore :
thank you, i had a great one!
from woweezowee :
Thanks for the Xmas message! I am doing fine. Hope you are and that you have a great 2005! =)
from ann-frank :
awh, thanks for the birthday wishes. and a happy new year to you, sweetness! xox a-f p.s. feel better soon!
from rentfreak82 :
Merry Christmas to you too!! I'll try to get back on today and update. There's so much going on!!!! Hope your new years kicks ass. Love, Miss
from whangdoodle :
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!
from princesse69 :
Merry Christmas and happy new year Jess! :)x x x
from misstrish :
Jingle Bells, actually and Let It Snow - I blame McFly.
from omnipre5ence :
Oh drinking...how it costs us. :)
from goingloopy :
...Toffee fingers? Is that a food, or a sex toy? And I'm with you on custard. That shit is slimy and nasty...
from weeme :
O Jess! Merriest of Christmases to you especially, British Boy! Wishing you lots of Nog (if you like that sort of thing!) and rich foods and winning football teams and cheer on the big day and every day! And I'll be sure to do a rooster banner just for you to name! Lots of love xoxoxox Wee
from ska-t :
but for the heid of Campbell, it would have been an embarrassing trip for Londoners. regardless, enjoy your holidays!
from ska-t :
play up, Pompey!
from sparwhore :
i wasn't aware i was missed!
from clarity25 :
Hey, Thanks for stopping in and leaving a kind note! It's good to know that some people are able to have friends of the opposite sex that don't lead to romance..maybe there is hope! I started reading your diary, I'm going to take a little meander through your archives:). Thought I would say "hi!" first
from goingloopy :
Your poor friend Sandra...it always sucks when some recreational drinking goes bad. But that's cool that you got the women's team some coverage. :)
from goddesskiki :
I'm sad for you! That was a mean thing that girl did--and for what? And why? You're great. Don't be disheartened by this teeny episode. You'll find what you're looking. And if you need an excuse to keep going just think of this--you restore my faith in men when I'm down. You're quality, don't ever forget that.
from goddesskiki :
Hurrah for London! I cannot wait to visit England; it's going to be fabulous! I'll be there around the beginning of March, I'll keep you posted with details. =) Have a fantastic weekend and thanks so much for the note! ~Krissy
from moviegrrl :
whilst sick and poorly last Friday I got to listen to all of the Phill Jupitus show on 6 music and he interviewed her!!! You will HAVE to buy the Bubblegum Killers EP when it comes out, it is stunningly brilliant! (of course, for all I know you've already got Debbie Loves Joey as it was on her website for ages. Sadly I missed that particular boat! curses)
from death-never :
Thanks for the note. And the add! soph
from hermajesty :
Thanks Jess, for the link. I'm probably going to stick with what I have for awhile until i (inevitably!) get bored. Cheers, have a great weekend!
from ska-t :
i had no idea that last note was gonna be prophetic. my apologies. so what's Gordon Strachan doing?
from ska-t :
alas, poor Harry Redknapp. if they'd jetison the interoffice politics and just let him manage football, he wouldn't have to look so... "jiggly". entertaining, though... no one looks flabbergasted with more panache. Wenger... he just looks like Spock in Amok Time. cheers for your holidays!
from andthoughts :
Hey Jess! Thanks so much for the note over in my LJ! Kindly send me an email and I'll get you the particulars ( squirrella @ livejournal . com) . hugs, Heather.
from goingloopy :
Yes, I did, and it was hilarious. Sorry, I thought I left you a note about that...I must not have. I won't let that happen again.. :)
from worldwar24 :
Fabulous! I'll look forward to it ;) Hope everything'sfine with you love - Lis xx
from sunnflower :
Thanks for leaving me a birthday note last week! That was so nice and I truly appreciated it.
from danish-chic :
Great game today! I saw a bunch of fans walking towards the stadium at about 2:00 - might have seen you but didn't realise! Love Alice xxx
from sir-jonny :
wow, it is to! thanks alot for telling me! Now I need to try & get it... :)
from goingloopy :
I so would have smacked the cheese bitch upside the head. I believe you showed admirable restraint. Of course, her comments would also make me want to ostentatiously finger and lick everything on the table for the forseeable future. Karaoke is good, though, even if they don't have your favorite songs.
from cherry2000 :
Are you on MySpace? I don't use friendster anymore. I blog on myspace, although it's not as personal as this account. I'll send you the address for my page.
from kitchenlogic :
I think I'd be asking her to define "always" when referring to your eating like a pig! That seems pretty ridiculous and I know I'd be offended!
from jason75 :
That may have just set a record for longest entry Ihave ever made to the end. A very good effort I think. AM with you on the boiled egg stench and with you on the womans football festival. There is no womans football here at alll
from cornflake1 :
Aw... *sends love* Sorry you had such a rubbish day. Of course I don't mind about the Hotel California thing! As for life as a fresher, it's a whole lot better now that I have internet access in my room. ;) heh. Thanks for the messages, hope you have a better day tomorrow. xx
from sir-jonny :
No, no reason. It was just a place in between Southampton & Brighton, All the smaller towns I picked, I just chose randomly.
from sir-jonny :
thank you, thank you very much *bows* i'm feeling very proud at the moment :)
from ljungberg8 :
hello! nice to meet you-thanks for adding me. keep up the good work
from sir-jonny :
woohoo! someone agrees with me :) other people i've told don't really give a damn. So you think the british wheelchair rugby team will beat the all mighty new zealanders? ah, we shall see...
from elektriklov :
hi jess!!! -kristin
from danish-chic :
Fantastic, wish I'd been there! We're doing well this season, let's hope it stays that way! Love Alice xxx
from kristoli :
Cheers, that will help for approx, well actually until now, I read it 20 seconds ago and now it's gone, I swear if you don't know it you just can't learn it!
from justvisiting :
Aw...thanks for being my Friendster. And good luck with the new job!
from shi-ou-sama :
my condolences on not being the Power FM 1K Runaway
from ssteedman :
Interesting! I will have to update that page...yer live and learn, doncha? I know curiosity not only killed the cat, but also hung, drew and quarted it, but: how did you find my journal? We've got a similar thing here in South Africa like that runaway man thing: although I've never been asked myself if I were him, a mate of mine pretended to be him and got a whole lot of people to chase him up a street, into a building and then when cornered, had to admit that no, he wasn't him...
from danish-chic :
Thanks! LOL that power FM thing was hilarious! Alice xxx
from lilmissalien :
In future, don't do a system restore. Just download Lavesoft's Adaware (search google for it) and that will clean your system of all malicious cookies, diallers and spyware. Simple! I've been using it for years now and it's great. Oh, and free too!
from dragonwench :
thanks sweetie. *smooch*
from krugerpak007 :
Wow, I'll hold thumbs for Katy Sexton then! Have a good weekend! xoxo Kathy
from krugerpak007 :
Hi Jess! Gosh, so also in the courts there they do it..(the bag thing). I find it so intriguing this jury duty. We have nothing like that here in Israel. Are you enjoying the Olympics? I think I am correct in saying that the Athletics part haven't begun yet-right? I am a bit behind because other than the weekends, I only watch my soap opera (pathetic I know, but I am addicted...)I thought of you yesterday though after your note. It took me two hours to get home yesterday because they found unattended bags at the entrance of Jerusalem and no one could get out. They blocked the road and it was a nightmare. Ok, enough about the unattended bag subject. Take care, and have a good weekend. xoxo Kathy
from princesse69 :
thats funny-i live about 3/4 miles from Wivenhoe. Spooky! can i recommend a pub-it's by the river and called the rose and crown) love sharon x x
from krugerpak007 :
I know this is going off the subject A LOT but it was lucky his bag was still there. here if that happened they treat it as a "suspicious object", call the police, block off all the roads and blow it up! Seriously! xoxo Kathy
from princesse69 :
Hi Jess. Was reading your latest entry and see you came to Essex. Maldon's not far from me. thought i'd leave you a note cos i haven't written u one for ages, love Sharon x x
from krugerpak007 :
Hi! thanks for your note too! To tell you the truth I am not a mad follower of athletics but I think that year we watched because of Zola! I just watched the opening ceremony though and it was really impressive, and I must say that I think i will be watching a lot of everything.. Enjoy the games too! And have a good weekend. xox Kathy
from janthina :
sorry, different code of football altogether: the pies means collingwood, a suburb of melbourne. Where I come from, soccer is played only by croatians against hungarians. I had no idea the english were so keen on it 'til i got here....
from krugerpak007 :
Gosh, I remember the Mary and Zola thing. (been originally from South Africa.) That brought back memories... have a good weekend. Kathy
from moviegrrl :
hello luv - template wise...I'll see what I can come up with and give you a shout
from lilmissalien :
Hay you've been very local to me then recently! Victoria Coach Station is literally round the corner from where Stevi lives, and in the opposite direction, where he works. And of course, London Colney is a five minute drive from mine! I was in the HMV in Victoria station on Monday, buying a CD for my sister's birthday actually.
from silverluna :
hey, I'm responding to that guestbook entry you left me in March. Sorry I didn't know you left me a message. I thought of the title to my diary on my own. I didn't really know that it was a song. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check your message in my guestbook. Thanks for the note! ~Sara
from cybersyd :
Thanks to you, my Dad and I are off to see Round the Horne in December! (yes, he was the only one cool enough to want to go)
from moviegrrl :
ah e-bay, how I love and hate it all at once....
from yecats79 :
Angelina, Britney, Colin, or Leo? Take Angelina out of the question and it would be a tough question, but she's above all in my book. Between the other three, I'd like to have crazy uncommitted sex with Colin and marry Leo. Britney is hot, but too dumb and crazy for me.
from justvisiting :
dear lad. you need a holiday. come to san francisco, and i will introduce you to all my single friends aged 25-35; alas, i will be 36 next week!
from bitterwineuk :
what is your actual job? I don't think I ever found out. Did I miss it somewhere? Becca.
from mindfluff :
you do realise that i'm going to be singing the spiderman theme tune in my head all day now that i've started thinking about it again :)
from creme-egg :
if you work your way up... JESS FOR PRIME MINISTER! x
from danish-chic :
Ooh, my grandma lives just down the road from the Rose Bowl! Love Alice xxx
from rentfreak82 :
Hey Jess. I was just thinking about you. How ya been friend? I hope life works out the way you want it to. How's life accross the ocean treating you?
from creme-egg :
WELL DONE!! to you for running the mile! xxx
from brandi-babe :
LOVE this layout!!
from jason75 :
good to see another big Brother addict although aussie big bro is different. Cant believe you thrashed my poor helpless kiwis so badly. At least we are fighting back in the pyjama cricket
from weeme :
o Jess... you lovely, lovely Brainbox! I'm always tickled to here from you! My father-in-law was squashed flat over England's loss too, but rallied remarkably when France was trounced soon afterward. And as far as your Pogues performance, for your sake, I do hope you and Shane don't share the same smile! My hubby and I were just talking about that the other day...how is it the Shane MacGowan, he of the puffy liver and manic lifestyle, lingers on when other musicians like Joe Strummer, the various Ramones and poor Kirsty Macoll have crossed over to the big karokee in the sky. Life is weird like that, I guess. Aiming an Ann Frank style air guitar solo right atcha, Jess my man! xo and P.S. Shark-eyes was soundly defeated. Woot woot!
from design-doll :
thank you jess... xo
from daisy624 :
You're so sweet! Thank you for the birthday love!!
from andshewas :
No worries- cupcakes were eaten. I was just at Odd Google to submit a link and saw your name on the submissions list a bunch of times! You must get a lot of strange hits..
from jenne1017 :
their record was 0-3 and went to 1-4.
from aeternum :
Updated (finally)!
from moviegrrl :
OHMIGOD - did you watch it last night? I've just checked up on the website with teh latest news and it was complete CARNAGE. Fantastic tv!!!
from bitterwineuk :
hiya Jess. I am back and it couldn't be soon enough. Like ya BBro set though i don't watch it. see ya. becca
from creme-egg :
BB layout- LOVE IT!
from danish-chic :
Whew, thank God I wasn't the only English person supporting France! 2-1! 2-1!
from creme-egg :
Well the actual ceremony of the barmitzvah is indeed on a Saturday *well done* however the party is always on Sunday's. woo party on! I will check out that person xx thanks
from aeternum :
I do still hang around diaryland, reading my favourites and occasionally checking to see if I have any new notes (wishful thinking, mostly) but the main reason I don't update is because i'm too damn lazy. I always start off a diary in good faith and then peter out again...Enjoyed reading yours though! Gemma
from danish-chic :
Love the new layout! Alice xxx
from moviegrrl :
ok chicken I'm not entirely sure what's going on with the buddylist - so can you take the following OUT of your code, so that it all just displays vertically for the moment.... .buddylist a {padding-right:5px;} .buddylist br {display: none;}
from moviegrrl :
Yup I'm going to be juggling footie and BB - poor SHO'M, he's going to be bored to tears! Hugely flattered you're using the BB template, although I'm going to have to look at the code surrounding the buddylist as it's breaking the areas of it's div...I'll keep you posted on that !!! hugs as ever, S
from kitchenlogic :
I put "Cookie"? Tells you where my mind is at 24/7! I'll fix it for you!
from debyhelen :
Hello! Thanks for the guestbook message - hope you're enjoying your new job. Working for the Gov is OK if you can see through all the beaurocratic crap and keep a civvy street head on you (thats doubly important because it will annoy all the institutionalised 'been there for years' types!!). I'm at the FCO in London and I love it! (Hmmm - maybe not quite as normal as I'd like to think!)
from kitchenlogic :
Who's Melanie C? I need to know so I know who I look like! I'll be updating the DIBS soon but rest assured, they're all yours!
from thinartist :
What does "I'm skint" mean?
from creme-egg :
cool I want Dan Shell Marco and Victor toodles, x
from creme-egg :
I know your a footie fan so you will understand my problem... You know Euro 2004, well my whole family is going out to Portugal in like a week and a half and they have like loads of ticket's for about 5 games and are staying in these villa's near by. However, I AM NOT GOING!!!! I have a stupid GCSE the day we fly out, so I have to stay at home! *LOL* grrrr, anyway, you watching Big Brother? DANIEL OR SHELL OR VICTOR TO WIN! WOOO! xxxnmb
from woweezowee :
Oh! And I hope England can do its part and clobber France to make things a bit easier for my Croatia. =)
from woweezowee :
I can't wait 'til Euro2004 (I'll be more focussed when the hockey playoffs are over). I just wish I was in Europe for it like I was the last time where I was able to watch ALL the games. I'll deal with the ungodly hours this time around. However, with it looming, there aren't enough people who joined my Euro Cup diaryring!! =)
from jason75 :
The inner kiwi in me is just hoping we kick your ass. The embarassment of losing the first test still smarts
from kristoli :
I'm torn between Sweden to keep an eye on Larsson and Germany for obvious reasons, but as long as England get knocked out as soon as possible I'll be happy, do they not realise they are commentating to scotland, ireland and wales as well as to england...grrrr.
from woweezowee :
Cricket sounds interesting, though also a little confusing. I think I would like to go to a match just to check the game out. Those Job Search people sure seem mean.
from jason75 :
job centres being crap must be a worldwide phenomenon
from misstrish :
But flamethrowers kill so many bad guys at once... And they run around screaming til their burnt bodies collapse on the ground and you can steal all their ammo... I have issues, don't I? xx
from brandi-babe :
You are officially a "Lost Boy". ;-)
from yecats79 :
Congratulations on the new job!!
from misstrish :
Congrats birthday buddy! xx
from rs536-2000 :
sounds like a great gig--congrats!
from hermajesty :
congratulations on the (official) new job!!!
from misstrish :
Ah, don't worry - no one can shut me up! xx
from xylem :
No, a link would be a good thing, thanks! I did enjoy the game yesterday, yes...a little bit disappointed, I'd hoped Millwall would do better, but then they haven't been too great lately anyway.
from bitterwineuk :
hiya darlin. Long time no stuff but I will be back shortly. All is fan-dabby-dozy cheers bud. With Matthew growing increasingly bigger, the space where I kept my PC has been swapped with a cot therefore I have no connection at the moment so I am currently in an internet cafe while nanny babysits. All being well, interntet and computer will be moving to a better place early Junish time so I will be back with a vengeance. Take care mate and thanks for your concern. Love Becca.
from kimmie :
I loved the eurovision! You know im a basket case and i can't help it! I loved the disco guy more tho. I didn't like Zena the warrior at first but its growning on me! Thanks for the message chuck! Kisses! :* luv kim xox ps did you hear about my poor ol diamonds?! Religated back to division 3 :'(
from le-vampire :
you didn't know i was 14? haha makes me smile whenever anyone says that!
from creme-egg :
Hey! I'm going to stick with creme-egg, like you said, we know they are the best! xxHugs
from woweezowee :
D'oh! I forgot to write: Happy belated b-day!
from woweezowee :
Hello, hello, I'm back. Good luck on the interviewing.
from echoman :
Wooo, Magpies! Wish the game was on my TV...
from lorster :
Good luck, Jess!
from caerydd :
happy birthday to you too ;) sorry I'm late!
from moviegrrl :
Just looked at your profile again, and wow Voice of the Beehive- either "you and your dumb club" or "babarian in the back of my car" (allegedly about the love god himself, Mister Zodiac Mindwarp), both nearly made it into my top 10 happy tunes!! Oh, and belated birthday wishes!
from watty :
Happy birthday! Have a great day enjoying yourself. Best wishes to you. =)
from misstrish :
Happy Birthday, birthday buddy! Hope you didn't have workmen outside your house first thing this morning!! Have a great day xx
from treewillow :
Happy Birthday, I hope you have a wonderful day.
from limegreenman :
I'll update real soon! I promise!
from xylem :
I didn't go, no - would have liked to, but I work weekday evenings. Shame I didn't, as I haven't seen us win many games this season, even if it was Fareham! How is Lenny doing at Fisher?
from spacebabe :
Just thought I'd say hi as i've made a re-appearance :)
from cornflake1 :
Thanks so much for the congrats! :) Hope you enjoy the game! xx
from mindfluff :
the funny thing is that when i worked for the other department he called me sandi. my name is sarah. i kind of wonder if he realises i'm the same person or he thinks there are multiple admin people here all with names beginning with "S"!
from andshewas :
Hah! I put that book up for sale at Amazon yesterday and sold it this morning. I have too much of a capacity for guilt to throw an acceptable book away. Good luck with the job search. I've given up looking for a job until I've finished out the spring semester - I've temporarily resigned to being a bum.
from creme-egg :
I KNOW! (Think Monica from 'Friends') Hehe. For some unknown reason my hay fever has started early, along with alot of my friends! Weird huh! xxxKISSES
from misstrish :
Ooh! New layout! Very nice! Got any plans for your birthday yet? xx
from xylem :
I'm finding the jobhunting thing a bit dispiriting too...there can't be that few jobs around, surely? Meh. Good luck!
from rs536-2000 :
That's tough about the game. I LOVE your new layout and I hope the bitterness gets easier to swallow.
from yecats79 :
Nice new layout!
from moviegrrl :
hey there! not sure when you added me to your faves - always flattering when it happens. (I'm overlooking the fact that you're a Pompey supporter!) No doubt I'll be trawling through your archives soon enough! x mgrrl
from creme-egg :
liking the new layout ! x
from danish-chic :
No, sadly I am not going to see Jennie Bond. Are you?
from yecats79 :
I do know the song Lily, Rosemary, and the Jack of Hearts. I have a version sung by Joan Baez saved on my computer! Colin could totally be Jack, what with his sex appeal and mean streak. I'm sending good thoughts your way in your job search. I'm sure you'll find something perfect.
from echoman :
P.S. Meant to wish you well on the job hunt!
from echoman :
Didn't get to see the Newcastle/PSV match, sadly. I get Premiership and a handful of FA Cup matches on my digital cable but no UEFA!
from xgrapefruitx :
Hi the 'gumball machine' here! Just thought i would reply to your note because... i felt like it. lol xGemx
from creme-egg :
Monopoly rules I shall join- NOW! And I'm sure there is a girl in my school called Jaime!!- She pronounces is Jayme. Anyway, maybe, just maaaybe, could I have a comment on your profile next to creme-egg...? Even if it's just 'Daph' Thanks, Kisses, Daph
from cybersyd :
Trust me, you don't want to work for them anyway. Both my parents have worked for them, and so have I, and unless you're very high up (which takes decades) then the job sucks. You can do better.
from lorster :
it's their loss. Stupid asses....
from foosgold :
Bastards.
from danish-chic :
Wooo! 3-1! 3-1!
from cybersyd :
I hate cotton buds too! Have had similar problems and the nurses always come up with the same thing: "Don't stick anything down them!" Then what is the POINT of cotton buds, hmm? Sorry, this is all getting rather intimate. Anyways, thank you for the nice comments in my guestbook, would have replied sooner except I was never notified I had any new entries... but thank you!
from justvisiting :
Jess, thanks for your thoughts. You are the sweetest!
from creme-egg :
nice one about the LA girl! hope all goes well for you x
from foosgold :
I've had one free weekend in a year. Time to hunt for a new job, I think.
from foosgold :
Good luck with both jobs - I assume you'd rather work for the Money-Grabbing Bastards than for Strangeways?
from creme-egg :
jess, i was just wondering... do u even still read either of my diaries? its just a thought! loves and a heart 2 u! 0000000000000000000000000000000 0000000777770000000777770000000 0000077777777700077777777700000 0000777777777770777777777770000 0000777777777777777777777770000 0000777777777777777777777770000 0000077777777777777777777700000 0000007777777777777777777000000 0000000077777777777777700000000 0000000000777777777770000000000 0000000000000777770000000000000 0000000000000007000000000000000 0000000000000000000000000000000
from weeme :
Kudos and Kisses! Congrats! Sounds like things are looking up there1 On Lemon Bars: I'd say they're more like squares than cake. They have kind of a crumbly pastry base with lemon filling (sorta like a lemon meringue pie filling) on top and are dusted with icing sugar. They are divine! Tart 'n' tasty. I've got a Martha Stewart recipe I'm dying to try. If they work out, I'll post the recipe and you can try your hand at 'em. But first i must do a test sample... I'm not always entirely successful with these things. For instance, my adventure with rice pudding was quite disastrous. An attempt at Pineapple upside down cake not too long ago was equally poor. No Nigella Lawson, me. sigh. But I persist on!
from joistmonkey :
Congrats on becoming a published poet - you must feel justifiably proud. I was the same when I became a published author a year or two back. Admittedly I didn't get to kiss my benefactor, but since it was the 'Dept. Environment, Fisheries and Rural Affairs', I didn't really mind, as I think the head of this government department was/is some sweaty middle-aged Labour politician bloke. You got the better deal - and you didn't have to go to abattoirs or spread cow sh*t on fields to get your kuods :-)
from weeme :
o jess... I haven't been keeping up enough with my online friends. Too busy drawing dinosaurs, I'm afraid. I'm sorry to here that you're on the hunt for ajob...but very hopeful that you'll get one soon. best of Luck with your next interview...I'll keep all my crossable parts crossed for you! Hugs!
from phoenixtease :
good luck for weds x x x

CONGRATULATIONS! AND CELEBRATIONS! etc.
from amethyst2 :
Seriously. Halle Berry. Being a fully heterosexual woman, she is number one on my list of lady crushes. p.s., the word arsebiscuits is hilarious. Good luck on the job hunt, I am in the midst of one myself.
from cornflake1 :
I always used to feel like a naughty schoolgirl going to see the headmistress, when I went for jobcentre reviews. The place just has that sort of vibe! (At least, the one here does.) I hope one of your applications comes through. xx
from brightdawn :
twiglets sounded good until i looked up "marmite" in urbandictionary.com and read "Food made from yeast extract with black, gooey texture." However, if you say they are savoury, I will trust your opinion as I have never eaten anything marmite-flavored, let alone anything shaped like a twig.
from brightdawn :
i don't read you as frequently as i should. i just spent a good chunk of time catching up. hope things turn out better. ps what are twiglets? i'm trying to build my vocabulary but i am unable to locate the meaning of this. they appear in this context "...so quickly helped myself to a handful of nuts and Twiglets..." so i assume they are food.
from trentgurl :
Hey there dude, sorry to hear about you not getting the job here, it would have been cool. Hope something turns up soon. Would advise against Safeway though, I worked there for over a year, and they're pretty much all bastards, and that's without mentioning the customers....*shudder* Take care, K
from bitterwineuk :
You'll get a lovely new job mate. Think on the bright side, if they are willing to reject you over such crappy excuses then they are probably a shit company to work for. Something will turn up. Keep going. Love Becca
from joistmonkey :
Hi mate, sorry to hear about the job-related rejection blues. Always a p*sser that, I know how it can be from my experiences last year. Hope all improved for you soon, I'd say something slightly cliched like 'chin up' were it not for the fact that such empty sentiments can be annoying. Hope you're chirpier soon though, mate.
from trentgurl :
AND AGAIN, I'M AT WORK RIGHT NOW. I GAVE IN YR EMAIL ADDRESS AGAIN SO YOU SHOULD GET AN EMAIL FROM THEM TODAY...SO BLOODY CHECK EM! I TOLD THEM YOU WERE INTERESTED IN PAGEONE AS WELL, SO WHO KNOWS? WE OUGHT TO MEET UP FOR A DRINK OR SOMETHING, Y'KNOW. TA CHUCK, K
from trentgurl :
Hi, me again...I actually need yr phone no again cos I had it written down, and then put it somewhere "safe". If that form is lost, I'll need you to send it to me again if poss. Sorry it's such a sucky big pain in the ass...how's the job hunt going otherwise? Hope you're having fun, Kyly
from futureceo :
Kathryn just posted a final entry that said she decided she really didn't want to have her life posted on the internet and get so wrapped up in it all. She mentioned that she felt she was having to censor herself and then having other people ridicule her for what she did write, that it wasn't worth it any more. That was about it, unfortunately. :(
from andshewas :
Oddly enough, I just got home after a long drive with Fountains of Wayne in my CD player. They're fun. Their new, and their first cds are the best.
from xylem :
Little football related titbit - I read today that ex-Boro legend Lenny Piper has signed for Fisher. If this is true, you have a very good (no, great) player there.
from trentgurl :
'lo again...consider y'self referred. I handed in yr name and number earlier. Let me know how it goes k
from trentgurl :
Hey dere, aren't employers twats? Listen, I work in a call centre, lots of sales n stuff, they're always recruiting. If you want me to refer you for a job, drop me yr full name and a contact no, and I'll pass them on. It's in Portsmouth, right near portsmouth-southsea station. Pretty cool place.... I know it sounds odd, but there's a job in it for you and money in it for me, so y'know, let us know.
from foosgold :
Lemonescent - hmmmm... Surprised you don't remember them from last year, with a dire song called "Make Me Feel Beautiful Tonight". Not good - they lost their record contract after that single.
from andshewas :
...but the true meaning behind the haiku was "sheer frustration." Better luck next time! ;)
from misstrish :
Who knows when we'll have the party but I'm sure it'll be great!
from rs536-2000 :
Hey--thanks for listing me as a fave. The more witty/bitter buddies I have, the happier I am.
from snailpetal :
Panic not...Snlptl will be open for business again in about 24 hours time...just Certain Types have been sniffing around and I am trying to keep a low profile. Know what I mean? Send me an email. I'll write back. Who knows???
from trentgurl :
Hey ya...thanks for the note, the birthday was pretty cool, just updated with all the sordid details. Is yr birthday in May? Dan's is the 20th May. Give us a shout when you get down here, we'll go for a pint in Gosport or something. Which is yr fave pub? I tend to stick to Wetherspoons, boring as it is! Anyway, take care, and have fun moving... K
from misstrish :
KT is a fellow May-er but not the 4th, I'm afraid... Ten days out isn't that bad though, is it?
from sixonenine :
my goodness! I just realized that you signed my guestbook for-effing-ever ago and I never even realized it! That's what I get for not checking it, I guess. Thank you for the kind words! My username is actually from my area code... lame, huh??
from lilmissalien :
"If I get paid for this shift I'll show my arse in Trafalgar Square." You do realise I may have to hold you to that - and I'll be a spectator, natch. Fancy a pint (on me) before you move? S xxx
from foosgold :
When is your last day at work?
from kristintracy :
HEY! "Feeming" means "wanting really badly". You can use it like "I am feeming for M&Ms." or "I feem for some guy/some girl."
from misstrish :
In fairness, I have nothing to say, but I felt like sharing the love and you're the lucky(?) one! Much love to my birthdaymate xx
from cybersyd :
Hey! Thanks for visiting my guestbook. Funny thing, I was just listening to Round The Horne. But I live Up North, in Manchester, so I'll wait for the stage version to come up here. And look! *points enthusiastically* Another Dave Gorman fan! Huzzah!
from rentfreak82 :
Hang in there babe... But god, it sucks ass trying to find a job. Did you check out the UK versions of monster.com?
from jason75 :
it is frightening to think that Peter Andre is still even a B grade celebrity.. all we have seen here is him trying to crack onto jordan!
from danish-chic :
Yay! You vote for her too! Go Jennie! Someone at school was saying that they are going to substitute John for Timmy Mallet. I hope to God they don't... Love Alice xxx
from bethany9 :
Greeting from across the pond! The crossed out flag is Indiana University. They are the bitter rivals of my school, Purdue University (the P flag). Thanks for stopping by. I stole the image on my site from the BBC website. Don't you dare tell anyone over there! ;)
from jason75 :
gopod work with the screwing and stuff!!! I cant believe we dont get that show over here!!! Peter Andre staying so vehemently in the closet must be amusing in itself
from adulterous-k :
Thanks for the note- I reckon the prison course was the same as the Police one judging by that. Bunch of arse, so it is!
from rentfreak82 :
Arsebiscuits. WONDERFUL! Jess, you rock babe. Keep it up. Sorry 'bout the damn CD player. Have you tried the batteries made just for Cd players and cameras? They work, I swear!
from design-doll :
thank you for always supporting me...xo
from bitterwineuk :
Hi Jess, thank you very much for your kind wishes on the birth of my son. As you may tell I am still at the very excited to finally being a mum stage and I am so proud of my gorgeous little fella. He is so much like his daddy. Once again thank you very much. Cheers, Becca
from lilmissalien :
"Arsebiscuits" I LOVE IT! Jess, you ROCK! That's going in my everyday vocabulary now - I shall try and say it at least once a day.
from foosgold :
Hi! If you have problems with the Land Registry form, yell - I got a job with them a couple of years ago, but my old boss, who hated my guts, screwed me over on my reference. I remember those "situation" questions being a right bastard.
from msgaladriel :
Hi, sorry to hear about the job situation. Something I heard on Radio 4's Thought for Day last week was 'Sometimes, not getting what you want is the best outcome' (or something like that). Perhaps you can use this opportunity to change career. Thanks for your notes :)
from andshewas :
Isn't staying at a job that you know is soon coming to an end like staying with a terminally ill friend? Never fun. Good luck to you in finding a new job! (Same with me, I hope). -Melissa
from foosgold :
Sorry to hear baout the job - how I missed that, I don't know. Are you happy to be moving back to Gosport? I know I would give almost anything to move back to where I grew up. Take care, mate.
from vanoonoo :
hey thanks for the message aboutpole to pole - realminto sent me a suitably smug email correcting gorgeous on his incorrect assumption heehee. I missed seeing pole to pole - damn jet lag!
from creme-egg :
new diary as well as this one, it explains itself... x-pink-starr enjoy xox loves n hugs. daphna
from xylem :
The concession thing is always a good idea - a bunch of us used to go to Dorking a lot when we were under 16, because schoolkids got in free with an adult, and one of them never misses a single game now! I'm surprised more clubs don't do things like that these days, especially ones who could do with the extra support. I've never been to Fisher but it's on my list of grounds left to visit, so I might pop over there sometime.
from odalisk :
I just did. I, er, don't put the ring-links up on my page, but I do love Sarah Kane & think it's spiffy that there's a ring for her.
from kristintracy :
Long time no notes from me! Well, in one week, I will be in London! We leave out of Washington, DC on 01/14, and arrive in London on 01/15! So exciting. We leave on 01/21 in the afternoon. We should definitely meet up for a drink somewhere!
from goddesskiki :
Jess, you are too fabulous for words. Thanks for signing the guestbook. Your entries always make me smile. Resolutions do suck--I do things when I think of them, not just cuz of the new year. I do have one thing I'd like to do though--become more rounded musically. Any suggestions on stuff to download and buy, oh enlightened one? *grin*
from weeme :
Ofor it is then, baby! I think that's a fab name. And oooofff... i find it scary indeed to associate Melanie B and the word "vagina" in any context.
from weeme :
er...I meant "sip" with the all important S in front. also, a question for you...saw an old Spice Girl video today and thaought whatever happed to Scary Spice and Baby Spice? not that I care much, mind, but I am curious. I thought you might know.
from weeme :
Ah, Jess...my man about Britian! The green punch sounds mighty fine. i like aniseed. yum. It also sounds like the sort of punch that you might ip into if you had a green munkie tail, which I don't yet, sadly. Has yours come in yet? Maybe we actually have to wait for the Chinese New year. I've been considering your request to leave the Green munkie up all year, and I'd truly love to promise you i will, but alas...if i did, i'd surely break my promise and that would make me sad. So I'll leave it up as long as I can possibly stand it, which should be at least a month, and you can visit him/her/it as long as you want. Plus!!! I'll give you the honour of naming it . What a bargain. I thought of you yesterday, actually, as I was standing in line at Starbucks waiting for a Tall Peppermint mocha with whipped cream and red sprinkles. I thought of an entry you wrote about your tie getting smeared with whipped cream. I thought about how that is so something that would happen to me. difference is, I'd hardly notice it. Sad to say that nary a day goes by when i don't accidentally smear myself with something. On an altogether different note... I hope that 2004 delivers on your every heart's desire, Jess, I really do. I hope all your teams win, that you meet the love of your life, that there are always After Eights on hand when you're in the mood and that you never wind up with a spot on your tie again. Wishing you the very best now and always... xoxo Wee
from strawberrri :
i watched carrie's war too, and thought it splendid. i wanted to watch it because i had been forced to read the book in my year 8 english class. the book slightly clinches it though (from what i can remember).
from ann-frank :
hey master DJ, thanks for the well wishes & happy '04 to you!
from jenne1017 :
why aren't you a gay woman!?!?!? LOL thanks for the compliment
from xylem :
I was annoyed by the Cheeky Girls winning too, I thought all the things they picked up on were what made the song so great - the lyrics that could have been written by a toddler, for example. Boo. Cliff should have won it!
from snailpetal :
Happy New 2004 to you: hope you're not feeling too drained by the festivities ;)
from lastyeargirl :
Cheers love - have a fantastic time yourself! And rest assured, if I do flash 'em I won't be posting pictures on Diaryland. Hehehe... How good is Pirates of the Caribbean by the way? Even Boring Orlando couldn't spoil it xx
from danish-chic :
Thanks for the comment, but there's no way she would want a relationship with me. She's 44 years old and married! (And I adore her husband as well!) Never mind. I'll get over it. Sounds like you had a good Christmas! Play up Pompey! Love Alice xxx
from piratesgold :
thanks! :) merry christmas to you too! have a great new year, and i hope you have an awesome christmas! cheers-
from foosgold :
Road Trip is great! And 50 is enough to get you a DVD player in our local Woolies...
from purex :
It sounds like you are in the UK which gives you hella cool points! and.. ROAD TRIP ROCKS! YEAH! :)
from gwensworld :
yay me! and YAY YOU for recognizing my amazing-ness! you rock my socks!
from gwensworld :
just our of curiosity, how did you find my diary, and why do you love me so much and how long have you been readin me?
from gwensworld :
i love people who love me. happy holidays babe. you're a taurus? whens your birthday?
from angeline-is :
Woo hoo for Woolie's certs instead of Marks-n-Sparks. I'm sure you could have gotten something useful there, but it's better to have gotten the Woolie's ones to expand your music and video collection. :D
from weeme :
O Jess! you continue to utterly astound me with your generousity of spirit and kind gestures! I ADORE YOU!!!! thank you so much for your birthday wishes! you're such a sweetheart! i'm off to find Kimmie to wish her many happy happys!
from caerydd :
thanks for the recommendation, I'll try to keep her in mind next time I have the cash to spend on CDs!
from foosgold :
Teaching's not bad - especially if you're teaching adults. However, when it comes to teaching lecherous octogenarians about computers, run like hell...
from strawberrri :
what luck at having more than one of your numbers pulled out! i only ever won once on a raffle...it was a jar of disgusting-looking meaty pate...i put it down by a car and ran away (i was about 8 at the time).
from avalonia :
*squirms* I think I may need a wisdom tooth filled. I've never had a filling. Did it hurt?
from twentyone :
Hello, read that entry (about the dublin concert) - how hillarious!!! am going to start reading more of you, kept seeing your name but only just read some, looks ace
from klytemnestra :
Thanks for the link, darlin'! I'm working on my own links page...we'll see when *that* happens, but I'll let you know! ;-) **Tess**
from creme-egg :
hi :) thanks for your concern... things are getting better!!! I didnt't realise you still read my diary, I read yours. Yeah the boys in my year play it and other card games!!!! But the teachers are threatening to take away their cards because it influences younger children to gamble!! yeah whatever, daphna x*x*x*x
from rentfreak82 :
Hey, you signed my guestbook ages ago and I wanted to say hellos :) I'm back and I'm updating. I'm going to add you to my favorites :) Love reading your blog, keep it up :-D Miss
from xylem :
I might take your advice and pop down to Southampton, although I like the irony of an armchair Pompey fan recommending them to me! And it's got to be a friendlier ground than Millwall's, who are my current attempt at adopting a 'second team', if only because a) they play in blue, which is my favourite colour and b) it really winds up my Palace-obsessed friend.
from danish-chic :
Hooray! Another Pompey fan! We are SO going to beat Southampton on the 21st. I like your diary too. How did you find mine?
from jason75 :
I am with you.. I would have probably skipped the concert for similar reasons!!! I am a wuss!
from lilmissalien :
Oh you missed a fucking FAB show! I was there in all my punky glory and Sheryl played a 2 hour set!!! Guess who made a guest appearance - Only THE Ronnie Wood of THE Rolling Stones!!! But hope the play was good ;)! S xxx
from arletterocks :
"Sit Down" is the best song that isn't "Laid," because THAT is the best song. Just so you know.
from daisy624 :
Well, I guess you're right, when you think about it. "Friend-girled" is certainly the verb. But yeah, Friend girl is a state a being. Maybe we should start a club... :-)
from janest :
Argh! That is a flat-out drag. But I am glad the Wonder Stuff were good, at least. I often travel to see bands and that is always my number one fear. Save a Belle & Sebastian gig cancelled two hours after they were set to go on I've been lucky so far. (Knock wood, etc.)
from foosgold :
Sorry to hear things turned to shit. Only one thing to do - get shitfaced on good beer, puke, and then forget all about it...
from weeme :
Jess... I adore your 5 words, but what, pray tell, is a jackpuddinghood?!!! It sounds a bit risque!
from daisy624 :
Hi, sorry this took so long, but since you wer so fond of the term "Friend-girl" I thought I'd send you the best possible explination of the Friend-girl phenominom that I could have provided. So, just pop this in your browser: http://daisy624.diaryland.com/020914_81.html
from kitchenlogic :
Oops! I knew that!!! Sorry!!!!!!
from ann-frank :
no! I didn't buy and $10 Cds! Can you believe that? The lines at the registers were just way too long. I make myself feel better by saying the selection wasn't all that great, only I would have liked to have had the Blur's greatest hits cd... oh well!
from yidaho :
Nice blog. :) You've convinced me to go and see Love Actually after deciding last week that I couldn't bare to sit through yet another Hugh Grant film, and so went to see In America instead (great film, if you can still catch it).
from joistmonkey :
Have to congratulate you on the term 'fuckerpants'. It's a good'n, and I hope to use it myself soon if you will permit it? I offer you the term 'wankerchief' as a kind of reciprocal exchange.
from c0nnie :
hiya jess thanx for the message, i've just updated. I realy didn't think ne1 would read my diary, nd find it really hard to belive u would actually enjoy reading it as well! neway, connie xx
from gbg :

from lastyeargirl :
I bought the Tori Amos best of in Woolworths last week, then discovered there was another edition with a DVD, so I just took it back. I might have listened to it once or twice, but they didn't need to know that! ;) Anyway - you're a Celtic fan too? Glad to hear it! xx
from swirledgrl :

from vickiediablo :
Re: the tagboard message you left me... Perhaps I'm more worried about what *I* myself think than anybody else really. Somehow I don't think I can forgive myself for falling for another person so soon, maybe...
from joistmonkey :
Umm.. RE: best of REM, maybe there are two different versions been released, but the one I have *does* have 'Nightswimming' on it - track 19. Oh, and Sally didn't cheer me up much in Bridget Jones, alas. I did develop a slight crush on the wee pointy-nosed brunette friend though :-)
from redqueenmeg :
Thanks for the note in my guestbook. I'm an American with some Welsh ancestry. My great-great-great-great-great grandfather, William Kingdom Rains, was a major in the navy, stationed in Wales, when he left his wife and children there and emigrated to St. Joseph's Island in Canada with a couple of Welsh sisters (I'm a descendant of one of those unions). :D
from design-doll :
erm it's the usual, you know- boys not wanting to be with me for more than just "friends" in quotes... makes me feel quite awful.
from creme-egg :
thx hunny x x
from avalonia :
Your bag took the dvd huh? Likely story ;)
from spacebabe :
I LOVE Viryual Sexuality - one of the first DVD's I ever bought!
from caerydd :
Thank you hon :) I appreciate that, it is good to know that people approve ;)
from avalonia :
I'm not familiar with that Billy song. I'm not overly familiar with a lot of his songs, but of the ones I do know I like 'The Short-Haired Police Cadet' and 'The Welly Boot Song'. *croons to you* "Wellies they are wonderful, wellies they are swell, cos they keep oot the water, and they keep in the smell..." lol :)
from avalonia :
Welcome to the Billy Connolly diaryring! :)
from jason75 :
Thanks you... think I will need it.. tips are appreciated
from jenifer-007 :
♥ thanks for adding me
from kristintracy :
OH TOTALLY. i don't know what the deal is flight-wise. do heathrow-US flights usually leave in the AM or PM? i will probably know what my flight time, etc., is end of this week/beginning next. I AM SO SUPER EXCITED!!!!! 'pants' YAY!
from epeter2025 :
Ok so "pants" means "bad." So you would say "PANTS!" after describing a bad situation you were in? Like "shit that was a bad time" or "crap i hope that doesn't happen again?" Perhaps I'm not grasping the concept, but I just want to make sure I get the right usage.
from kristintracy :
PS - also, i loved "pants" that is ultra funny to me. well, i think pants is a funny word in general, and anything like "fancypants" or "smartypants" = funny. but, just saying "pants." like saying "damnit" that is comic GENIUS.
from kristintracy :
I AM COMING TO LONDON IN JANUARY (14-19) 2004!!!!!!!! i am so excited right now. soso excited. wow. holy moly.
from epeter2025 :
What does it mean when you say "Pants."? I've never heard that before. Is that like "damnit?"
from spacebabe :
That's odd - I got told they're on strike tomorrow!!!
from spacebabe :
Awwww, that's really sweet of your family to pay for the taxi! :)
from sarahford :
Well in that case........It's a pleasure to meet you, Jess. -S.Ford
from sarahford :
Hi. Who the...who are you? -S.Ford
from msgaladriel :
Hi, thanks for your note. I just read your entry on the signing for The Office, I love that series as well. I've got a film recommendation for you - Office Space. It's just come out over here and you can get on Amazon. I'm sure you'll like it if you haven't seen it already.
from atmosfear :
hi Jess, I've unlocked my diary. thanks for reading. =) chrissi xx

from creme-egg :
hiya! pleased you like my diary, er how did u find me? note me or something xxxxloves
from flufflebunny :
*hits self on forehead* Gah! My own stupidity even suprises me sometimes...sorry! :S
from flufflebunny :
Heya, cheers for the note - halfterm is actually in a weeks time, so we should be ok :) Can't wait!
from janest :
Ha! The exact thing happened to me (not having the CD, etc) when I just went to get Rufus Wainwright to sign my album. And I'd been to many a signing before, so I had no excuse. I'm envious of your Office time. They did a signing for Season 1 here in the US, but I had to work very late that night. If Martin Freeman had been at ours, I might have quit the job. Crazy.
from jenne1017 :
thanks for sending me some b-day lovin'!!!
from caerydd :
I'm not sure about the comic twin's thing.....ATOMIC KITTEN IS THE EVIL! *ahem* mebbe we're the sorta twins that are the total opposite? ;)
from evil-edna :
Oh man the internet is way too small a place! Isn't Mrs. Lovely fantastic?
from strawberrri :
arr! that be brilliant news about pirates!!!
from lilmissalien :
THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH for my birthday card LOL! I got it in the post this morning and it was sooo exciting cos it was the 1st one! :D! *hugs n kisses*
from lastyeargirl :
I think I would buy a song by a band called Vanilla Ninja, for the coolness value of their name alone. But I wouldn't go to so much trouble to track it down... hope it;s worth it! xx
from lorster :
...and you are *such* a sweetheart. Thanks, Jess. :)
from xylem :
I'll have to pop over to Woking sometime for a game - quite a nice ground, too. I did go to the Arsenal game, yep - it was very surreal more than anything else. Really good fun, though. Pity that most of the 6,000 'fans' we had that day haven't been seen since, though!
from angeline-is :
Wish I could have been there (at Kirsty day)! Sounds like you had fun.
from xylem :
I'm always meaning to go to a women's match one day when Farnborough are away, but I never quite get round to it. I really should get round to it sometime, as I thought the few games I saw on TV were of a pretty good standard - a bit like the Ryman premier (or similar league) but with more skill and less scrappiness.
from maddie2365 :
No, I didn't - I went to the gym after school with Andy and we didn't get back till about 7.00 because he had to teach first. What was she singing?
from weeme :
er..crap. I meant get ON that, not get one that. sigh.
from weeme :
O my pleasure.....! Once again you've proved yourself the kindest gent in all of England. Your request reminded me of something.... Two weeks ago, the hubby and I were waiting in line at the movie theatre to see "Lost in translation" (which I loved, loved, loved by the by) and outta the blue, this woman walks up to us and hands us a free pass for two.... we resolved to perform a random act of kindness in return so as to keep the karma flowing and brainstormed about it for some time, but we still have performed any random acts of kindness. I've gotta get one that! suggestions are welcome!
from goddesskiki :
Thanks for the note! I really like Atomic Kitten--what I've heard of them at least. Long live pop music!!! Love, Krissy =)
from bluefrog :
hey there! thanks for the message in my guestbook (about the canterbury tale); i've been meaning to reply for a few days. we didn't read all of the canterbury tales in the class, so i don't know all of the stories. we were just supposed to create our own, though, not really based on any of them. so i'm just basing mine on something that happened a few years ago, since it's a pretty easy thing to write about. but yeah. thanks for the guestbook love! :) you rock!
from foosgold :
Thanks, Jess! *Hugs*
from strawberrri :
i missed tiffany because i was so unbelievably drunk i could hardly stand up, eep! cheeky girls were shite. they got lost on their way to leicester and didn't make it on stage until 1.30 am.
from jenne1017 :
cute layout ;o)
from caerydd :
Thank you hon, I appreciate it.
from kitchenlogic :
Oh sure, you butter me up and then I'm gonna say no to your latest DIBS request? Of course I'll add her. Who else was I supposed to add for you? I forget and am too precious to go hunting through my guestbook looking for the name (or names, probably!)
from weeme :
O Jess... you're just the sweetest thang EVAH! You really are! Your g-book notes give me the warm fuzzies like no one else, so although I don't really know you ... not in "real life".... I'm convinced you must be just the sweetest bear of a guy that ever watched a football match. I'm sure I'd fear no spider if you lived on this side of the Atlantic!
from design-doll :
i'm sorry you have to work in your saturday jess... but keep drinking those mochas... they are truly magical hehe
from kristintracy :
All I have to say is that I was just reading your 05-14-01 entry, and both my brother (epeter2025) and i were stunned. OUR MOTHER IS LATVIAN!!! Hooray, Baltic States!!!
from epeter2025 :
Hey! I was reading through some of your older entries and noticed that you said "Ex-Soviets are Mad...especially Latvians!" I'm proud to say that I am Latvian. It was too funny to know there were other people on the planet that knew the country existed. Too funny..and yes, I'm mad as well! Cheers once again. Reading British-English makes my day.
from lobsterchick :
Hey, thanks for the note. I feel kind of off lately, so it's nice to know that someone thinks I'm entertaining.
from cornflake1 :
*raises glass to catharsis* Thanks for the message :) I will make a valiant effort to stop holding back and vent like a hero! There, you have my word - I can't go back on it now. Heh. Hope your week's going well. xx
from maddie2365 :
Habe ich Recht, um es anzunehmen, dass du Deutsch studiert hast? Wenn ja, kannst du sehr gut sprechen! Deswegen, vielen Dank fr deine Ansicht, mit bisschen Gluck marf (!) ich das machen.
from andthoughts :
:-) you're the best, love.
from foosgold :
Ouch! I can sympathise on the 6 day working week. If all goes according to someone else's plan, I'll have had one night off in 10 come Sunday.
from amethyst2 :
Do you know I was living in London all freaking summer and I never thought to look you up? Hindsight is 20/20, they say... Julie
from epeter2025 :
Just got a hold of your diary thanks to my sister. LOVE IT. Not only do I need to move to Paris and/or London, but I need to keep reading your diary. Cheers!
from kristintracy :
I am so glad that you got the card okay. I was hoping that the USPS would do me right, and they did. Yes, Jamie Oliver is QUITE the man here in the US. He's on the Food Network cable channel. He makes all the foxy american ladies CRAZY with his bedhead, ultra sharp cooking skills & lispy accent. There is a special series of his coming soon where he teaches kids to cook some of the recipes from his restaurant. I. CAN'T. WAIT. I'm on mission: impossible get myself to Europe soon (I have never been.) Hopefully next year...
from andthoughts :
*sigh* it's just always so wonderful to read you. even when it's every-day stuff you write. i read it, remembering Islington and my summers spent with family... i would have been in england a year ago if my house hadn't acted up. *sigh*
from happybitter :
Thank you for cheering up my guestbook - it was lonely. 0=)
from maddie2365 :
Yes. Yes I did. I went to reply and AOL kept crashing (it does this with Hotmail sometimes), but I did read it. Thanks a lot ^_^
from kristintracy :
Thanks for the note re: my essay thing (that is the technical term for it.). I just submitted it to the contest. Bring on the judges! It's funny that your most recent entry mentions an ex-crush having a baby. My friend and I were just talking about this same thing last night. An ex-whatever of mine has recently resurface. Why he had to show his face again, and get me all whipped into a frenzy I will never know. DAMN. IT!
from foosgold :
Thanks for the note - and things are going from bad to worse with L1z (Patrick) Bateman...
from trentgurl :
Hey, got ur note! Why ya in London? I agree about Cyrano de Bergerac, I studied it for French A level. When I saw the movie Roxanne I got so annoyed, wasn't he supposed to die?? The whole point is that he's tragic...oh dammit here comes the indignation again, better go before I rave again. Go Gosport!
from foosgold :
I always felt more like Grandpa Flump when I was pregnant. I think I should be worried.
from cdghost :
thanks for letting me read this
from maddie2365 :
Thanks ^_^ I was going to put that, you know, then I thought it would be labouring the point. I'll feel better soon.
from bonkersquipy :
welcome to the drop dead gorgeous diaryring...and thanks for joining...

from lorster :
I'm glad things worked out in your favor!! Have a great time, Jess.
from kristintracy :
I. LOVE. JAMES!!! I saw them in concert once in DC, and one of the roadie guys gave me the songlist/set thing.
from weeme :
O Jess... how horrible is it that I just noticed you have a new custom template?!!! My diaryland activity has been somewhat limited as of late... I'm busy procastinating about the book project I'm working on and occupying my wee addled brain with thoughts of a new teevee season, halloween and a profound lack of matching earrings. But I'm always, always happy to see a g-book note from the sweetest guy in all of England. Hope all is well in your world! kisses...!
from foosgold :
Chocolate clogs the arteries?? In that case, I'm totally fucked, and should drop dead any second njkaepirybo////...................
from maddie2365 :
I love the female punk one - I did tweak that one because I got someone I'd never heard of so I clicked 'See all possible results'. It took me three goes to get the answer I wanted. The Aragorn one, believe it or not, was the luck of the draw. After that I did a few others and they took some tweaking because they kept saying Legolas and I kept yelling French obscenities at the computer.
from kaltz :
Hi Jess! Thanks for visiting and for adding me to your list of favourites! I love the way your page looks and I'm still working my way thru your archives.. hehehe.. keep visiting, okay, and keep in touch! :)
from violetcreams :
Hi there ! Thanks so much for the email ! I shall indeed be updating when I can get my carcass in gear. Anway, look forward to reading your diary and cannot believe there is someone else out there who likes The Rachel Papers ! Who knew ?!? Cathy xx
from sarahsundae :

thank you for all the kind encouragements! they make my day!
from princesse69 :
Hello!
from lastyeargirl :
Your taxi story almost - almost! - motivates me into wanting to finally pass my driving test. I once had a friend phone me from a taxi to ask me where my house was as neither him or the driver had a clue. There are three firms in my town, only one of which know where my house is as we use them all the time! xx
from prettykay :
with all honesty, i thought my entries showed who i was and the one afternoon i learned that a peer had found my diary. the thought scared me that someone would actually know what was inside me and in a wave of panic, i deleted all the entries. a few days after, i realized what a big mistake that was, but hopefully i will be able to build back up to where i was. thanks for coming by, you have a lovely diary :-)
from kathiec :
No way! You ended up in Clitheroe town centre! My parents would have put you up for the night! I lived in the hip and happening town of Clitheroe for about 18 years! Well, ok, so it's not all that hip, but it's a hell of a lot nicer than Burnley anyway! It's a small world... Love Kathie
from passthemic :
aww thanks :) i know i'll definately be checking up on your diary as well!
from macfarlane :
Everythings fine my end, how are things going your way, Hope everything is as it should be! Kenneth :)
from andthoughts :
oh, balls you had quite a trip there, what with crooked cabbies and missed connections. but the question is, did you have the sex dreams like me? eh? that would make it *more* interesting. tee hee.
from kristintracy :
SHREDDIES! If I had known that was a slang Britishism for panties I would have been using it so long ago!!! For REAL! It's on my profile now, because, honestly, how could it not be? It causes me to wonder, why "shreddies?" I mean, I think "shred" as in "tear apart." Is that why? Because if so, then...WHOA British people! You're CRAZY!
from maddie2365 :
Bugger. I knew there was something wrong with it but couldn't remember what it was. I was in a hell of a rush when I edited it.
from zara75 :
I was sorry I missed the womens 1500 metres after hearing about Hayley Tulletts medal, I wasn't home from work till later :( And I'll definitely be tuning into lots of the Olympics next year, I love watching all that kind of stuff!

my copy of "the commitments" is so worn out, that i had to masking tape the cover back together. the band actually came to my town (annapolis, md) recently. unfortunately, i didn't get to see them, as i was out of town visiting my friend. my favorite part of the movie: "don't get snotty with me son. i get snotty with no man." ~xxx~kristin
from days-of-49 :
Thanks for signing my guestbook and adding me as a favorite. The thing I always found interesting about Self Portrait is it's impossible to figure out - I suppose that means something.
from design-doll :
things get better all the time, i will be in europe... just later than originally planned :)
from flufflebunny :
yeh, I downloaded that version too - it's rather good, but for some reason I just prefer the original :)
from cornflake1 :
Thank you very much for the message in my guestbook! :-)
from strawberrri :
yeah my brother escaped the tube powercut by 15 mins. i shall be in london today, yay.
from kathiec :
Thanks so much for the kind words in my guestbook!! And for the diary recommendations, which I haven't got around to looking at yet, but the first new favourite has already been added to my buddy list - you! Cheers Kathie
from justvisiting :
Fantastic new layout!
from kimmie :
THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT JESS! I did it! I passed! love Kim xox
from sexychelle :
Thanks for the birthday wishes great to hear from you after so long of you being quiet and love your new diary template Chelle xx
from andthoughts :
so, there's been like this total onslaught in the past few days of my life of random pearl jam lyrcs/cover song quotes... and while hide your love away is by far better as a beatles tune, all i could think when i read that was, 1. how sad, and 2. the i am sam soundtrack, where eddie vedder covers that song. /yankee rant
from strawberrri :
i like sally phillips too, but not in that way :)
from bitterwineuk :
Thank you very much for the note. Very kind of you. Also, I very like the new layout. Very nice. Cheers me dear. Becca
from swcprincess :
Well to live in "Condom" would be bad, but to be CALLED "Condom"... oh the embarrassment!
from jason75 :
it is still pretty cold here! why cant the world just find a nice happy medium
from andthoughts :
yeah, i'm with you on that antarctic vacation. totally.
from yoshi-c :
Ha no way! 'Lord' Raj is a big tosser than I first thought then!
from andthoughts :
v. good use of the ghetto pronounciation of the noun, bitch. that made me smile.
from lilmissalien :
#Uh-oh, we're in trouble. Something's come along and it's burst our bubble (yeah yeah). Uh-oh, we're in trouble. Book us a ticket on the next space shuttle.# Man! I loved those girls. I think that it was one of the 1st singles I bought (I was almost 13!). Great entry - loved the opening to it! S xxx
from yecats79 :
I LOVE your new layout! It's so clean and pretty. Most excellent.
from foosgold :
Love the new look!
from angeline-is :
Eee! It looks great, Jess! Especially love the tidiness of the rings.
from andthoughts :
oh shnooky-shnooky-you've gone and altered your layout.... BTW, any interest in the Manchester United game that was in Philly last night? it was all over the telly, and i thought, "huh, wonder if my little d-land friend has a care". that's all....
from jason75 :
you may be the ring champion of the world!!! just noticed that! I have never had a train busker@
from andthoughts :
jessens, love, i've locked my stuff. drop me a note or something and i'll send you a password and such.
from justvisiting :
Thank you for the birthday greetings. That was very sweet of you.
from lilmissalien :
Crikey! Is that all I have to do to get a snog?! Aren't I the lucky one! BTW you now have me hooked on Fae Magdalene - that is my type of music, not only to listen to, but what my stuff actually sounds like too! O_o
from joistmonkey :
Thanks for the message in my guestbook - good points well made w.r.t. Steph not having a chance, but wouldn't we have expected Nush or Tania (had Gaetano not been there?) to be a contender? Maybe.. With regards what to do now, you WON'T catch me watching Lame Academy. I'm discerning about my reality TV. 'Yes' to BB, Eden, Temptation Island, and that BBC one on Taransey. A resounding 'No' to I'm a Celeb.., Lame Acadamy, Popstar(s) and that sort of poo :-)
from ms-m :
I totally have strawberry daiquiri! I just got it in a gift bag from an event I attended to nights ago. Woman! You read minds!
from andthoughts :
*sigh* she sounds swoony... she got albums here in the States, or is that just further evidence of America's ineptitude? or, is there a place online to take a listen to this audio goddess?
from piratesgold :
thanks for the recommendations! i was thinking on choosing the green mile because nearly everyone who has read it, has loved it! i'll definitely check out your other selection by mark twain as well! thanks!
from lilmissalien :
Hahahaha! You do make me laugh lots. You must've texted me during Patrick Kielty as I was (in my drunken state) annoucing to anyone who'd listen that I'd 'do' Fay Ripley any day, then my phone vibrated and I made some comment about my 'automatic vibrator'. Anywaaaaaaay..... I'd have said yes if you'd asked to marry me. Any day. And big age gaps always = good in my books ;). Love ya babes, S xxx
from hot-crumpets :
It sounds like you had a fantastic weekend :) I'm glad you had such a great time! xx
from design-doll :
you are too much leaving me notes and emails (: sorry i'm so late to respond, but yes yes i LOVE your poetry... it is obvious you put a lot of thought into it and i will put one or two in my zine AND send you one as well! it ist just late in the coming!
from brightdawn :
hey, care to write me an entry? :) check my diary for details. and also, may i say how much i love that you put an accent on beyonce's name? don't ask why.
from lilmissalien :
WOW! I got a mention! *bounces* (it's 3am and I'm still drunk - deal). Anyhoo - I am devastated you have a new 'wife' and people to be matched with... what will happen to all your diary lasses who want to be your wife and matched (I almost wrote 'mated' then!) with you etc?! *goes off to sob in the corner*
from ann-frank :
hey hey there. luna bars are simply a different brand of those good-for-you energy bars. only these are good for you and they don't taste like ass. good luck withthe new shoes!
from lilmissalien :
Where are my manners?! I was so busy drooling over the DM's I forgot to make rude comments over the fact you have size 12 feet. *Rude comment overload rapidly ensues* HEHEHEHEHEHEHEH!
from andshewas :
Sorry for the delay, but thanks so much for the kind words!
from lilmissalien :
I was devastated when I discovered the DM's store has now departed from CG last March. Now where will I get my knee-high black patent lace-up heeled DM boots? See, I don't ask for much! Luckily, my boots are still going strong despite being 6 years old and bought for 6th form. They're also a weeny size 4!!! I used to go in and drool over the autographed No-Doubt boots too. Hope you're cool, love S xxx
from weeme :
Hi jess... But of course I'll drop in on your friend Kimmie. But where do I find her? And wow... i can't believe you remembered my birthday is Dec.19th.... when's your b-day?
from maddie2365 :
I didn't see that one, and it took ages for Andy to get it set up just right as he was trying to explain the exact moment to flip it to Frau Abartig's seven-year-old daughter Helen. He is having his second childhood.
from justvisiting :
I can't believe the DM store is gone - at least mostly! I was there last April and bought two pairs of boots. I wonder what happened? It really was a great shop.
from andthoughts :
i don't know W66, these entries just keep me laughing long after the the glow of the monitor fades to the next screen and all. surely, you're not trying to be so funny? perhaps because i identify with the shopping experience you recounted.... i don't know. you just crack me the hell up. (god, i haven't been in london in over 14 years, but i remember the tube like the back of my hand...)
from justvisiting :
Yay! Jess is my friend!
from justvisiting :
I meant to ask you to join friendster.com. I'm going to send you an invitation to your Diaryland address. You'll know it's me (and you'll see my real name & e-mail address. Don't worry, you won't have to share yours.) It's a cool network of friends, but sometimes the site is "temporarily unavailable" because there are so many users. You may need to refresh the page a few times before it lets you in...it'll be worth it :)
from lilmissalien :
"And they disappeared in the closing lift, leaving me with a late-working, moaning Maria..." Don't forget you can always text me if you're bored! It's 2am and I'm still awake! ;)
from lorster :
Heh. So, which one do you think was you? :)
from lilmissalien :
This is why I always let my Dad carry my TV/Stereo/computer etc when vacating my uni house! Isn't it funny how one man's junk is another's treasure? Love S xxx
from princesse69 :
Sorry to hear your tv has snuffed it. Remember my diary? I have finally got round doing it again. I have changed the layout too. So now I am catching up on you to see how you are and what's up! I am now married and enjoying life as a wife.
from lilmissalien :
Hope all went well with ze lugging of ze telly! Rather you than me, but then anything larger than a handbag is an effort for me! D'oh!
from lilmissalien :
I was in Stoke cos my Dad had free tickets to Alton Towers for the family as a 'thanks for working for BT for 30 years' present. In actual fact he's worked for them for 35 years, but never mind! I even got to see Status Quo and Madness performing LIVE there! There will be a l-o-n-g entry about the trip as everything that possibly could go wrong did! Hope you're as cool as ever! Love S xxx
from lilmissalien :
You sound like you work in an absolutely mental place. If only my job (read: occasional dogsbodying) was so eventful. Still sitting in your bushes constructing my shrine to you btw. xxx
from andthoughts :
i absolutely love this entry. it's so funny, in a dry way... in a real way. and i can just see chris buzzing you and you restraining yourself from telling him to sod off. shame that we Yanks felt it necessary to de-Colonize ourselves what with that silly war of 1776. i much prefer british slang over the ghetto-phrases that pass for language here. xoxo
from justvisiting :
Oh! Please don't apologize! I'm just desparate to get out of the country for a while (you may well be able to imagine why with our current President.) I know for sure I'll be in Paris in April '04, but as my best friend lives in London - well East Molesey, now - I'll probably visit England around that time too. Maybe we'll meet for a pint then...
from jonnybox :
Thanks for the message. All is not that bad though. In fact it's fine. It was really a joke entry :)
from sarahsmells :
Hey there. Sorry I haven't responded to your note. I'm braindead sometimes, and forget to check them. Man, I have no idea where my movie has ran away to. I'm getting ready to get the police involved. I've clearly been robbed. The Man is always bringing me down. Thanks again for the nice note. :)
from justvisiting :
By the way, you should download AOL's free IM service. Then I can chat with you in real time!
from justvisiting :
I'm serious! When I was in London last April, I knew I should've written to you. I really need to marry someone from an EU country. I'm ready to go at anytime.
from passthemic :
thank you kindly! :)
from justvisiting :
Jess, I think we should be married. I say this because I really want to live and work in the UK and need a visa...oh yeah - and cos I like you a lot! Think about it...and if you ever want to live/work in the States for a while, it could work for both of us. Let's discuss. :)
from hot-crumpets :
Quicket!!! I *like* it! Genius :)
from lilmissalien :
Cricket is cool. I grew up behind the bar at Elstree Cricket Club cos my Granddad was president and I have so many great memories. My cousin now plays for Middlesex (I think) and has bowled warm ups for both the England and Pakistan teams! Hope you got my email - sorry if I seemed a little forward!!! S xxx
from design-doll :
of course you can! sorry things have been hectic moving back home, working, and class and all that... e-mail me your address and i'll send one up! [email protected] hope you are well and you can send a few poems or an article and what-not for new zine as well!
from maddie2365 :
Oh yes. It was brilliant. I would have paid good money for the shock on some people's faces, I tell you. However, Tris did not find it so funny, but frankly I stopped caring what he thinks a long time ago. Everyone loves Summer of '69. It's a fact.
from piratesgold :
it was a bit of a shock! though, real madrid's always been one of my favorite teams, so i'm happy about it! real has a lot of the best soccer players, and now we can all add davy to the list! :) cheers!-
from weeme :
Jess! You're such a doll! You say the sweetest things!
from lilmissalien :
That sounds like a cool daytrip! All I've got coming up is Alton Towers! Hehehe. I couldn't help sniggering at the toilet-break law - I really do think one needs to be implemented. And EEEP! at the fact that my parents are older than your Mum! Happy Birthday to her (it's after midnight now so I shan't say 'tomorrow'). THANK YOU SO MUCH for your email - I promise I shall reply but I have so many atm and I'm typing one handed due to still wearing a sling. So anyway, yes, THANKS FOR BEING GREAT/YOU. S xxx
from hot-crumpets :
Hee hee! Wish I'd been there :)
from maddie2365 :
*smacks forehead* I don't think about things like that. My brain goes brother-in-law -> he's married -> ficken. Yes, actually he does have a sister. I remember now. Panic over.
from lilmissalien :
You don't have to thank me for notes silly! I'm gonna write them to you whether you want me to or not cos your notes in reply make me feel all warm and fluffyful inside! And I *LOVE* your answers on X's survey - now there's a guy after my own heart!
from lilmissalien :
Ahhh...but I didn't say your shirt would be returned - it will go on my Jess shrine ;)! And like the previous note... your name in red on my buddy list has the same effect on me, as do *all* your entries, babes :D! S xxx
from andthoughts :
you see, what with you writing and all, i've half a mind to jump on the next decent flight -- and i say decent since i just read about this new trend in air travel, hooters planes? the last thing in need whilst whisking away to vacation is this reminder that i DON'T measure up to some idealistic perception of womanhood -- and come over and just kiss you like a puppy long lost. your entries, so seeminly mundane in their specifics, are in effect the opposite; whenever i see that my last "buddy" has updated (alphabetically, you're last), i rush right over and read read read. thank you!
from dreamer-98 :
Thanks for adding me to your favourites list :-), I'm about to add you to mine. I'll be back to read more of your entries. Have a good weekend!
from kitty1980 :
happy random guestbook/notes signing week.. :)
from lilmissalien :
I forgot about the Russian mail order brides! Incidentally, have you seen Birthday Girl with the verrrrry sexy Nicole Kidman (Grrrowl!) playing a Russian mail order bride? It's set in St. Albans (YAY! *Patriotic*) and is filmed everywhere but! Oh and if you need buttons sewing on your shirts, it's something I enjoy and I'm still sitting here in the bushes outside your house with binoculars and laptop and not much else to do, so send 'em over! ;) S xxx
from maddie2365 :
I did. But I didn't want to write anything about the mention of the girl with the serious thing for Viggo in case it wasn't me and I ended up looking stupid. It's the surgical spirit fumes.
from weeme :
o..and I've decide my signature theme for the week is "here comes my baby" by Cat Stevens 'cuz it's just sappy and tinkly enough to suit me. Although i am also partial to "London Girl" by the Pogues as well. But I am only distantly British. Unfortunately. and i don't think it counts that the hubby is british born and therefore more authentically entitled to such songs. If'n he was a girl, which he is most decidedly not! sigh. Don't you wish that diaryland was equipped with little soundtrack devises so we could spin out our fave tunes to the masses and share the joy?
from weeme :
O jess, thank you. sigh. you are a lovely man. Like Viggo. I'm rather fond of him myself, but truth be told, and more probably whispered in a sort of embarrassed fashion, I'm more a Legolas lass. Yep, it's true, i dig the elves.
from hot-crumpets :
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who had a great time over this year's Eurovision! I can't wait for next year's extended competition :)
from lorster :
Just wanted to pop in and say thanks for the message, and to send good weekend vibes your way... Have a good one!
from andthoughts :
funny how a silly thing like the telephone always requires an introductory session if said phone is of unfamiliar make and/or origin... i spent the better part of two hellish years answering phones full-time and getting any sort of lunch (or, for that matter, potty break) coverage involved setting up the whole, "this is how one transfers the calls", "this is how one dials the number", and "this is how one transcribes a message". Ah, memories. and that sleep bit? oh, am i ever with you on that one as i've had only 2 hours of the sweet nectar of slumber myself. Egads am i bushed!
from invisibledon :
just randomly ended up here -thought I would leave a note
from macfarlane :
Your diary is just cool, what more can I say...
from andthoughts :
i positively cannot get the "roide sally roide" out of my head. perhaps that quote alone is responsible for the creation of the diaryring. from now on, i shall only refer to you as our prime minister (unless, of course, you would prefer another, less arbitrary classification).
from weeme :
Hallo Jess, my man! Long time, no see! How've you been? i congratulate you heartily on getting all the way through that lengthy entry to get to the signature theme song part!!! WaaHoo. So what would yours be? A song by Kirsty MacColl mayhaps? "There's a Guy Works Down the Chip Shop Swears He's Elvis?" that's one of my all time faves. I used to want "Punk Rock Girl" by the Dead MilkMen, but i think I require something a little more retro and tinkly now. Hmmmm...mmm. xoxo
from starlight42 :
don't recognize the band, I'm assuming they're not known in the US?
from design-doll :
i'm back jess... i couldn't stay away... xx thanks for your love
from lilmissalien :
I've been reading some of your poetry. I likey very muchly :).
from maddie2365 :
As well as not having to work on your birthday, you should also not have to do timed essays for history... Actually, on second thoughts timed essays about boring things like National Governments should be abolished entirely.
from lilmissalien :
ARGH! I haven't lived up to my stalker-ness and wished you happy bidet! Can I plead the old working-hard-to-finish-my-degree thing? Love the new comment about me - I shall have to step up my stalking. *sits outside your house with laptop and binoculars*
from starlight42 :
Happy Birthday! Hope you had a nice day. Maybe you will win the lotto...and hope you aren't terminally single forever :)
from twisted-mind :
Hope you had a most wonderful birthday! Best wishes for the rest of the year!
from girl-aflame :
Happy Birthday! I love PG Wodehouse too.. hard to find fans of his. Leave It To Psmith is one of my favorite reads!
from hardlyasaint :
Just wanted to stop by and wish you a Happy Birthday like all the rest of us who frequent D-land b-days. I hope you have (had) a wonderful day and that all your wishes come true! I hope you have another great year. Much love.
from maddie2365 :
Oh ficken, I didn't know it was your birthday. Hope it was fun ^_^.
from moonshine76 :
Happy Birthday!! yay!
from dlandbdays :

from preciousgift :
Happy Birthday 2 YOU!
from misstrish :

from lealoo :
have a fantabulous birthday!
from kathiec :
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Have a great day... heck, have a great year!!! Love and birthday hugs Kathie
from passthemic :
yeah! :) they opened up for the strokes back in november in nyc, and i actually thought they put on a better performance than the strokes. haha. there was one point where the drummer put on a huge index finger-shaped mask on, and started dancing all around the stage, it was so great. check them out if you can., it's a fun performance. :)
from design-doll :
thank you jess...i know that things get better, it just hurts for right now...and, i would love to see some of your poetry... what kind of things do you write? xx-kristin
from lilmissalien :
Hey! And *AGAIN*! Well I just had to say Potters Bar!!! You are in Shelley country now! Incidentally you saw Johnny English! Hurrah! My Uncle is credited as either the top painter or one of the top, I can't quite remember what my Dad told me now but I shall know once I go and see it (purely to read the credits!). Glad to her you've been 'Soaking up the sun' (*groan*). TTFN!
from lilmissalien :
I seem to be stalking you, seeing as I'm the only one leaving you notes. So you're in Bedford for the week, eh? I'm currently on my hols so living back with my parents in sunny St. Albans until May, just down the road from Bedford, I know it well. I bet the riverside is packed this week with all the lovely weather! Have fun with the footy (and all the ladies!), S xxx
from lilmissalien :
Oooh! You joined my Sheryl Crow ring! Woo Yay etc!
from lilmissalien :
Oops! Now I feel bad! Yes they changed it last week probably because it's tourist season now. GRRRR! Don't you just hate things like that!
from lilmissalien :
Burger King Piccadilly Circus is 24 hour AND has an easyInternet cafe. I have been relying on that BK recently as my nightbus goes right past it (N18 from Trafalgar Square if it helps, although most buses go to PC).
from design-doll :
... you've always left such pretty messages for me... here's one for you... thanks for the advice... life's been uber strange lately and such kind words make me feel all right... thank you again.xx
from maddie2365 :
I'd love to come to the reunion, really I would. I'll have to let you know nearer the time, though. It all depends on whether I've passed my driving test.
from faery-tale :
I know enough to muddle through. Just don't throw any monkey-wrenches at me. ;)
from faery-tale :
Some of your entires make me wonder if I truly speak the English language or not. ;) Particularly the recent one about taking a sick day? Wow. Hi, by the way. :)
from lilmissalien :
Jeez, not only was that l-o-n-g it was also extremely mundane. Sorry! ;)
from lilmissalien :
WOW! That's a *lot* of theatre to go and see! I can talk though - I'm going to see Rat Pack on Thursday at The Theatre Royal, Into The Woods on Friday at The Greenwood Theatre, and the open dress rehearsal of Mama Mia at on Monday! Free tickets to all thanks to being in London's latest theatre company! We've got a 2 page spread in The Stage this week too, cos we're on at the Bloomsbury Theatre on the 23rd! Don't you just *love* the theatre?!
from joistmonkey :
You prefer Michelle Gayle to Gina G and Sonia? Well, it's a free world, but you ARE wrong!! :-) Nah, I think we can probably put the Sonia vrs Michelle thing down to a North-South bias w.r.t. our respective origins etc etc. OK, so that's bollocks.
from elviejito :
Thanks for welcoming me back..I have to say, I'd have been pissed at missing out on those Clash shirts :'(
from hot-crumpets :
I've been thinking of you tonight because I found my tape of last year's Eurovision and I've been watching it.... SAGAPO was even worse than I remembered! Do you think there would be much interest if I made a Eurovision diaryring?
from no-answers :
T'was..... Tornado! But they kind of cheated... at least *I* think they cheated. They added a huge metal one-bar cage around themself so that Razer couldn't get anywhere near! I call that cheating at any rate - but then again, I'm a big fan of Razer :)
from lilmissalien :
ARGH! Don't talk to me about the London underground! It's been driving me mental since the central line closed which was ironically when I suddenly needed to use it on a regular basis!
from kimmie :
A message from Caz15 - sorry!! My computers broke but I promise to up date asap :) Caz xxx
from no-answers :
Hey jess :) I've opened up my new diary and thought you might like a sneak preview! It's at hot-crumpets.diaryland.com!
from heidiann :
Mmmmmmmm...Cadbury Cream Eggs.
from yecats79 :
Thanks for the note! I enjoyed your last entry, and am certain to check back later when I have a chance to read some of your older stuff. --Stacey
from design-doll :
thank you jess :) you are lovely too... i feel special to have a fan in england... and one who is cool as well!
from maddie2365 :
My username now starts with lower case letter, Diaryland decided it didn't like the capital letter. Sorry about that.
from bitterwineuk :
Hiya mate. I sympathise with you over the trains. I honestly thought there would have been more on the news than that. I don't use trains as often as you but I am getting to see what chaos they can cause. My last trip back from Southend took 4 hours rather than 1 1/2 as once we got to Shenfield there was a problem at Hatfield Peveral and 2 trains were cancelled, the 3rd was 1/2 late then we had to stop for 20 mins. That was a 1 off outside of London. I can't begin to think of the pissing about you put up with. Thought I would just say hi anyway. Becca. P.S In my opinion the best thing Sally Phillips ever did was I'm Alan Partridge as Sophie. So dry yet so funny... I like her in the comical sense I hasten to add.
from amethyst2 :
Thanks so much for the help! I was beginning to think that I would have to bring my own cardboard box to London with me.
from maddie2365 :
It's a bugger when something like that happens, isn't it? You should have seen me when I found out David Duchovny was married. Ouf. But the good news is that Viggo is currently single ^_~ - and there's always divorce... shoulder to cry on and all that...
from joistmonkey :
RE: Ms. Sally Phillips - that is a bit of an arse her getting hitched and all that, especially as it is to neither of us. Is he a big guy? Could we take him? I'm sure then we could come to an agreement w.r.t. custody of Sally, in that I could look after her while you are at work.. :-)
from maddie2365 :
I meant to ask you about that. I went into Virgin on Saturday, and buggerall. They gave me a number to ring, but I've not done it yet. Thanks for the support ^_^
from weeme :
I had no idea that Hayley beat Finnish men. I'm embarrassed to say that you have a better grasp on the gender crushing feats of my countrywomen than I do. Thanks for keeping me in the loop, though, Jess. Good to know you're cheering for the right side!
from gingerbug :
Hi! Thanks for the message - the new diary is at http://gingerbug.diarynet.com, but currently still locked to all, but a handful of friends. Look out for an annoucement in the diaryland diary sometime around Feb/March.
from maddie2365 :
Feel the rhythm, feel the rhyme, get on up, it's bobsled time...! Couldn't resist ^_^
from no-answers :
Ahh, the tube.... we've done worse.... ;) heh heh!
from weeme :
or perhaps "permanently partnered"!
from weeme :
hallo Jess lovey... It's been a while and i thought it was time to pop in on one of my fave brits and say hello! And also wish you a fantastic 2003 filled with love and laughter, health, wealth and of course, plenty o' women's sport. May this be the year your "terminally single" status is altered irrevocably to "forever coupled"! cheers!
from bitterwineuk :
Thanks Jess. You are a *STAR*.
from bitterwineuk :
Hi Jess, Glad you had a good christmas and new year my dear. I really need a favour and I would like a man's view on things and as you are my fave Diaryland fella, then I need your advice. Check out my diary page : http://bitterwineuk.diaryland.com/030103_24.html That explains everything. I just want an honest answer from honest people. Forget saying what you think I want to hear, just reply from your heart and tell me what you think. I would be very very grateful. best wishes for 2003. Love Becca
from wrongagain :
Hey, sorry I'm slow to respond but I don't even know who Kirsty MacColl is. Oh, her (just read about her) Well I never really knew of her until now but she did some cool things with cool groups.
from passthemic :
why thank you so much! :) you have yourself a wonderful new year as well, and best of luck with everything! <3 joanna
from princesse69 :
Hey you...just popped by your diary to say I hope you had a good christmas. by sounds of it, you had a nice one. have a happy new year!
from piratesgold :
Thanks!! I'm a BIG soccer fan!! There's actually a slight chance that I'll be going to Euro 2004! A slight chance, I'll keep my fingers crossed! My favorite team is Real Madrid. Nationally it would have to be Portugal, Brazil, or even the U.S. I can't believe that U.S. beat Portugal last time in the world cup. Portugal was so unprepared! Well, Have a Great holiday! Cheers Jess! -dianna
from diotoir :
Hi... thanks for dropping by my diary! For some strange reason, it feels as though I know you. Do I???
from no-answers :
I will be finishing my wrapping later.... *sigh* I KNOW I'm going to tape at least ONE finger to a present!
from elviejito :
Oh, I haven't got a password up now! Call it a weekend wonder, heehee...
from elviejito :
Middlesborough? Frigging MIDDLESBOROUGH????? I demand a recount!!!!!!!!! NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
from no-answers :
I got Bolton wanderers!
from no-answers :
I *love* Thorn In My Side - I think it's my favourite Eurythmics song!
from jason75 :
one can never have too much eighties music... ever!
from bitterwineuk :
Hiya Jess, remember me? Haven't been able to do anything internet related for a while due to no internet for past 2 weeks. All back to normal now though. Gone back to a HUGE update on my part and catching up with everything else. What I actually want to say is, I just wondered how well you knew Leytonstone and that area? That place has many fond memories for me of my childhood. My dad is originally from there *Hammers supporter through and through* and I know that area well as we had family there until about 3 years ago. It's nice to know someone else knows it's there. Hope you are keeping well anyway. Take care my dear. Becca!!! *:O)
from passthemic :
mean machine!!! i LOVE that movie. jason statham's character is so hilarious. i like that part when he has that daydream of beating the crap out of everyone by the goalpost.
from weeme :
o darling Jess... as if the PHBs weren't bad enough, now you have to deal terrorist threats. I thought of you immediately when I heard about the foiled terrorists in London and their plan to gas the Tube. The idea makes my skin crawl and I hope you play it safe. Bin Laden's latest taped message contained threats levelled at Canada too and we (we being the hubby and I) realized this weeked that my husband works right next to the location ranked third on a government issued list of possible Canadian targets. Unfathomable. I guess with IRA bombings and such, you may have adjusted to the threat of terrorism a tad more than we have in Canada, but all the same, do be careful. Be well and be safe!
from elviejito :
Hey, it's Roberta, this is my new diary, I've finally gave up the ghost on my old one, no passwords to worry about now at least. Just in case you want to change my name on your buddylist (please???!!)
from xczarinao :
Thanks for the note! I actually got to read it about a month before december, but anywho. In case you haven't noticed I updated my diary! Love, Erin.
from weeme :
and stomp, not stop. forgive me, it's early yet! only half awake.
from weeme :
um.. that's HUGE not HUG.
from weeme :
Darling Jess.... strawberry skins in the Bog?!! The mind does truly BOOGLE! In semi-related news, my husband apparently spent some wiggly moments in the ladies loo at his office trying to stop a HUG hideous bug. It took FOUR men and a toilet plunger to finally mash the insect into oblivion. I'm thinking you could probably have handles the critter a little more efficiently. And without the aid of three other men... but what can I say? They work in television... they're creative types and all that THAT implies.
from sparwhore :
i'm not depressed, the doctor says I'm normal... i'm doudting the power of doctors. I really don't want to pee in that bottle though. Cheers :)
from sparwhore :
i'm still on your favourite list... why?
from wicked-sezzy :
hot. yes, a hot date indeed. uh huh. go read.... :) and when are you going to move here and ravish me? they don't make good men in america, alas...
from princesse69 :
hello little mister.
from weeme :
hello Jess sweetie. Sorry to hear that Karen has moved on. 'tis all. Just wanted to say hello, see how you're keepin' .
from spacebabe :
I have actually been to the Goose a number of times (well, it IS on the way home form work!), but I don't like drinking by myself - erm, no matter HOW friendly the barmaids are - heh heh heh!
from kate-nz :
Hi there! Thanks for doing my survey :-) I'll certainly be back to read more... Kate
from no-answers :
Razer is my all-time favourite robot - any bot who can smash Matilda to pieces gets my approval, even though she's my favourite house robot..... I sound somewhat twisted after saying that! :)
from weeme :
what does weymouth66 mean?! is it a thing? i mean, a Brit thing?
from jenne1017 :
My newly 25 year old self thanks you for the birthday wishes!! <3 Jenn
from maddie2365 :
Cold pizza? And you're complaining? Cold pizza is one of the most wonderful things in the world (after hot pizza, and fish and chips).
from sparwhore :
um... you added me to your favourite list-CHEERS! Although I don't know why :)
from no-answers :
These new painkillers must be bloody good, because I just read that as saying that the TV went wrong BECAUSE Gareth Gates came on! It could be possible tough ;)
from wicked-sezzy :
hey thanks! but why is it the only people who think I'm a babe are the ones that live so freaking far away!? ~pouts~ New Hampshire men are retarded. :)
from maddie2365 :
Cheers ^_^ We've changed our minds ever so slightly and we're now going as Jack and Karen. This has resulted in "Who's your daddy?" "You are!", "poodle", and similar comments all day.
from weeme :
The message below prompts this question from me: Are you also committed to loving me forever seeing as how I joined the ring first? Or rather, before the Phoenix? And will this love continue even if i fail to morph into AnnFrank the Sequel? Also, I must ask: What is it with you and female athletes? Just wondering. Furthermore: Did you know the Queen is in town? My town that is. Or more precisely, the city which borders my town. Much resulting buzz about puck dropping and corgis 'round here these days. But I mainly dropped by to tell you that i adore you you big British lug. Keep visiting me!
from phoenixtease :
Your wish is my command! I have joined the ring, and you are commited to loving me forever! ;o) x
from woweezowee :
Being the ANGEL that I am, I set up the diaryring...filed under "E" of course. I shall await your worship. =P
from weeme :
ooo darling Jess: I, um, seem to, uh, be experiencing some difficulties with the whole morphing into AnnFrank2 thang. First, um, and this is really hard to admit... I don't have a clue who The Donnas are. I mean, I know they're THE SHIT and all, but.... ??? and also, I'm not an ambidexterous thumb wrestler. Although I had a mysterious ache in my right index finger once for like a whole month. Perhaps with your tireless coaching, I'll be able to overcome these barriers. I live in hope. And also, I wouldn't have given your Asian Tube lady bugger all either.
from maddie2365 :
Nuns! Nuns! Reverse! Reverse! Everyone loves Father Jack ^_^ Isn't it always the way? You like someone (Tris in my case) ... then you find out they've got a boyfriend.
from planetqueen :
A big fecking 'hello' to you. You gobshite. Arse. Drink. You're not a nun are you? I fecking hate nuns. Girls. Fecking bye from Father Jack.
from weeme :
Your wish is my command. Joined the Kirsty ring. There really ought to be more members! And yes, Jack's a Geordie. But his family moved here to Canada when he was a wee babe 3 years old. So he doesn't have an accent or anything. Not a British one at least. My mother-in-law tells me that's probably for the best as the Geordie accent is pretty broad. Actually, my father-in-law is in England for a visit right now. He goes every year to visit with his old football buddies. Back in the olden days he used to play for Newcastle United. He's in his 70s now, so I would guess it was quite awhile ago. Anyway... all this talk about the hubby reminds me that I must tear myself away from Diaryland and go help him with dinner! It's been a slice!
from weeme :
o and by the by, where's your guestbook? You need a guestbook, baby.
from weeme :
ooo Jess. You're British! How very nice for you! i mean that sincerely. My hubby is British born. Newcastle. Yikes. Just wanted to come and thank you for supporting my long cherished desire to become Ann-Frank the Sequel. She is THE SHIT, isn't she? O, and I was very fond of Kristy too. Sooo sad when she died. RAWK ON, brother Jess. RAWK ON. (Imagine me doing Ann-Frank inspired air guitaring).
from spacebabe :
Unless she's LIVING with her boyfriend, she's still fair game by my book!! ;)
from princesse69 :
Hello. Hope those sniffles have gone now. I hope I go through all autumn/winter without getting a cold. It has never happened before though!
from scanzilla :
Viva la 80's pop culture!
from torch :
hello. Yes I am do like a bit of Kirsty. And England 2 Columbia Nil summed up the way I felt last week. Keep meaning to join the diaryring x Torch
from lilmissalien :
Hi Jess. I'm currently altering my layout and not updating - I should be back up again midweek! Shelley xxx
from spacebabe :
Thanks loads for the note - I love the term fuckmuppet - lol!!! I keep putting the lock on and taking it off again, so be warned, you MAY need the password occasionally! I take it off when I know he's at work and can't possibly be reading, but put it back on especially when I know he's online. Oh the things we do!
from labeled-girl :
thanks thanks and thanks some more... i suppose we're all getting to put something to rest with this griggs expansion... mere words. (my brother didn't think the picture was funny... but everyone else did)
from robertahay :
Hey Jess! Just saw your note- no, thank GOD, my cleaing days are over, at least for a bit. I just live about 30 mile from my university and I can't ever live in the halls or I'd miss me mum :( So early mornings will be the order of the day, joy :( luv fom Rob
from maddie2365 :
Alas I didn't manage to get near Sachiel these last two nights, bloody homework and all. I asked Tris to tape it for me, but he forgot. The drink is much appreciated ^_^
from princesse69 :
aww... what a love you are!just seen your *new* comment for me...i'm honoured!hope you are fine. i am alright as things go. ~sharon
from ann-frank :
Umm, couldnt find a guestbook so I will just sign here? Your pop idol actually did a few ditties on our show as well! And yes, Simon is evil and it's funny I even have an opinion on him, like, why bother? at any rate, like Hugh Grant, I am %52.5 British, and the only reason I think I made it that far is because I don't care how cold beer is but strongly believe it should be served until you are falling down. I know, surprise surprise coming from me. anyway, thanks for stopping by!
from spacebabe :
Ahhhhhhh, I see! See, with me, I knew what the Yanks mean when they say it, but seeing as I always refer to birds, sorry women, as birds, it's far more natural for me!! Soo, just that makes me 20% more British than you?? LOL
from spacebabe :
How come you're only 75% British?????? That's very odd!
from bitterwineuk :
Hi sweetie. Thanks for your message. I really appreciate it. It just goes to prove how long and winding my life actually is and nothing is as straightforward as I would like. But it keeps life interesting, to say the least... Ah well. You know my story. Keep up the good work and do the best with what life throws at ya! I know that as well as anyone!!!Becky!!
from hermajesty :
oh thank you....i definitly will find time to update, i couldn't stand not updating! hey, now you are over 100 entries too! anyways, have a good weekend!
from princesse69 :
Hello Darling, just making an appearance in your notes to say hi. I would have liked to of been sat on that carriage...loonies make me laff!
from silver23 :
hey thanks for the porn name suggestion! i will add to the list in case i ever need it. hehe
from madjack :
I support Bayer Leverkusen (who almost won the Champions League this year) and Hansa Rostock.
from jonnybox :
Thanks for that. Interesting. Isn't it just a computer format though? I still prefer british dates.
from witchmedic :
I don't imagine there are too many jobs in Weymouth, anyway. Well, depends on what you do I guess.
from witchmedic :
I saw you signed Glittergirl's guestbook and I was like, "Weymouth?!" because I used to live in Weymouth, Dorset, so I came to check you out. Nice little journal. Keep it up :)
from passthemic :
good luck! :)
from amethyst2 :
LemonStar! I love it! I knew someone out there would be able to help me. I truly owe you one. ~jewels
from maddie2365 :
Oh, that's a shame. Maybe we ought to write to theatres in the West End and tell them to do something useful for a change.
from pearlie147 :
Thanks for the note. I have no idea what happened! I signed back up though so all is well. Strange...Michelle
from ms-m :
Thank you for the birthday wish Jess!
from ms-m :
Thank you for the birthday wish Jess!
from princesse69 :
im so dumb course you haven't been to iceland, otherwise you wouldn't of said "i would love to go". love sharon x
from princesse69 :
have you ever been to iceland then? most people might find it an odd destination for a honeymoon...but i think it'll be breath-takingly different and memorable. Love Sharon
from no-answers :
I have indeed seen it :) Thanks for the email letting me kmnow it was up - I feel really bad, I've been EXTREMELY lax with emails the last couple of weeks!
from jenne1017 :
thanks so much (o: smooches
from kristoli :
The volvic stuff? does it have sugar or is it one of those fake sweetener thingies? I need something other than the gallons of red I'm currently ingesting. Voice of the Beehive are part of my childhood :)
from maddie2365 :
Mmm... strawberry water. In our house you buy it at 10am, and it's gone by 12.30.
from storyoflo :
Voice of the Beehive are one of my favorites - I miss their fun, boppy music. And here's to getting some decent fruit - enjoy!
from pearlie147 :
Hey! Thanks for the guestbook & note entries! I took your advice and signed up for the ayearwritten ring. Now I am going to sign up for the over100 ring! So you live in London?? I absolutely love it there - but who doesn't??
from passthemic :
oh, samurai swords are hilarious! he probably bought it from this store in my town that sells ninja weapons called "The Striking Fist". and as for my fave song to play air guitar to, it's definately "ain't talkin' bout love" from van halen. haha "summer of 69" is a great pick as well!
from phoenixtease :
not that i've been reading back in your diary(!!), but you mentioned Norwegian Blue in Norwich - you should've gone there!! It's great!! muchly love xxx
from phoenixtease :
well thank you :o) it means a lot. cos i just think i'm fucked up! *hugs* xx
from phoenixtease :
what makes you say what you did in that message?! x
from tiffanyjo :
Hey, I also feel that when I'm in a relationship that i like to have free time to pursue my own activities. I don't think you are being unfair at all. :) Tiffany
from maddie2365 :
I fixed it; I don't know if it was Diaryland's servers or something to do with the slash I briefly added to my title bar which trashed my lock. It's running smoothly now though. Thanks ^_^ And as for the university thing, I'd love to come to London if only for the reunions. We'll have to see how it goes on Thursday. If I start with 'O quel dommage! My life is ruined!' then somehow I don't think university will be on the cards. Still, que sera sera.
from maddie2365 :
Have you noticed that my password system is broken? If you have let me know and I'll do something about it. On Sachiel it's bringing the content up before the dialogue box.
from tiramisu419 :
Thanks for leaving me a note weymouth- youre right, I dont have anything to lose, and its a lot of money- so thanks for checking in with me :)
from jenne1017 :
a false alarm would be very, very good. Thanks for caring enough to send the very best, vibes that is ;o)
from kristoli :
Thank you very much, text birthday wishes make up for no post today ;)
from wicked-sezzy :
well thank you! *beams* i do so enjoy compliments....it's frustrating though because i've gone through all this losing weight crap and now i get no attention (although granted i still want to lose at least 40 more pounds) whereas before when i weighed *mumbles unmentionable former weight* i got all sorts of boys. the hell? but thank you! :)
from tiramisu419 :
wow ive seriously never heard of that chicken before. Thanks for answering me back i appreciate it, oh and thanks for the encouragement too.
from tiramisu419 :
We have the same diary color :)...whats chicken maryland?
from no-answers :
I'll start it in the morning ('tis midnight and HTML is beyond me at this hours :)) and the code will be in my entry tomorrow. And I'll have to be listening to Kirsty's music whilst i'm setting it up because it wouldn't be right otherwise :)
from maddie2365 :
Woo-ee! Kirsty diaryring! ^_^ Where do I look? Is it up yet? *bounces like excited child* I am also happy because I converted Rachael to Kirsty (it's in her blood, her dad likes her, same as it's in mine), she *loves* Free World, which is one of my utmost favourites.
from no-answers :
Consider the diaryring done :) I'll set it up first thing in the morning, and mail you back as well!
from maddie2365 :
Ta muchly. I did that after I made my mix tape. Inspired use of HTML ^_^ It occurred to me on the way to Salzburg yesterday "Why is there no Kirsty diaryring?" Who do we know on gold membership who likes Kirsty? Maybe if we ask X nicely... Never mind. Long update coming right up.
from passthemic :
those beggars aren't very nice now, aren't they! they should be glad that they got something in the first place. i had a few instances in new york where beggars would actually follow me around for several blocks lecturing me on why i should give them money. ah, beggars.
from goddesskiki :
Hey you! Just wanted to let you know that I greatly appreciate your notes and encouragement and wishes and all that good stuff. It makes me very happy. *grin* Thankyouthankyouthankyou!!! YAY to non-conformists!!! Mwah, dahling! ~*Krissy*~
from tiffanyjo :

from dazy81 :
Congrats on reaching 100 entries and thanks for joining the diaryring!! :)
from princesse69 :
hello jess just saying hello darling love sharon x
from justvisiting :
Thank you for the kind birthday wishes. Hope you're well.
from spacebabe :
Ta for the note - it's nice to have someone be honest and open and non-judgemental. It's funny cos I feel 'close' to you sometimes, just cos I know you're probably only down the road somewhere! It's like I 'know you already'!! :) Oh, and I had gathered that it wasn't you who signed my Guestbook - unless you were having an identity crisis at the time, or had a sudden memory lase and didn't realise you'd seen my diary before! :)
from maddie2365 :
Ta muchly for your notes. It took me ages to think of the third verse - I had loads of choruses in my head, but the verses were really hard to come up with without sounding insanely rhymey. I'll be sure to update loads in between now and when I go to Austria on Wednesday.
from robertahay :
WHEE! YAY FOR KATE!!!!!!!! I ended up REALLY liking her- oh dear, I just checked your comment o my diary from a while back...Tim the Tosser, could any words be truer? luv from Rob
from maddie2365 :
I loved the Blackadder theme, it's on a par with the Celebrated El Beardo Song (Version 1.2 coming soon, just as soon as I can change the third verse).
from spacebabe :
Hee hee!! Love the Blackadder theme tune! Poor you - what an arse of a day......and bollocks to all that 'it could be worse' crap. that's the last thinbg you wanna hear when you're feeling sorry for yourself. On top of feeling like shite anyway, you then have to feel guilty that 'you have your health'!! ;)
from jenne1017 :
thanks for the telepathic vibes. those worked. I don't do well with meditation. I am too jumpy. But nothing too bad happened today so...
from bitterwineuk :
Thanks for leaving your note. Sorted out that link, hun. Good to hear from you anyway.Love your diary too and thanks for adding me to your faves list. And keep up the good work!!! Becky .x.x.x.
from princesse69 :

from phoenixtease :
Thanks for joining both the bigbrother and football diaryrings! :o)
from princesse69 :
I would send you a bit of cake if I could....love sharon
from fairyfish :
Although I agree with you that Jade has to go, I also think that we should use our voting wisely...think about it, Adele only got 2 nominations, Jade got all 6. We need to get Adele out this week coz she's a boring sneaky cow. Jade can go out next week!
from spacebabe :
OK, I've asked her along!!
from wicked-sezzy :
see? that's my problem. everyone who would never do me in a million years lives here, everyone who would toootally do me lives like, across the ocean and shit. *sigh* oh well. here i go, off to bed. aaaaaaaaaaall alone as usual. *fidgets and taps feet* ;)
from maddie2365 :
September? Do you have an exact date? Leave me a note when you do and I'll start saving me cash ^_^
from no-answers :
The tube is notorious for spotting attractive girls - but not one has ever smiled at me! :(
from justvisiting :
I've got such a crush on you. I shoulda thought of that when I was in London in April. I'm so dumb.
from princesse69 :
aww....i took your advice getting benadryl+ even before I read your note on diaryland. the sneezes are going thankfully. i didn't think anyone cared. thank you doctor jess.
from stella056 :
hey the other day i was watching soccer/football highlights and they said england lost and i was sad for you, i was also sad because the US lost against germany, and they shouldn't have, gah i feel your pain. so my condolences, because even though i'm not british, david beckham is quite the fox.
from emobeatdown :
thanks for adding me !
from goddesskiki :
Hey hey! So sorry about messing up your name before. I am such a blonde sometimes! I fixed it on my page though, so now the link will work. Thank you for visiting my site and signing my guestbook!! I appreciate it soooo much! Mwah! ~Krissy =) PS: Love your diary!
from emogrrrl :
hey thanks for checking out my diary and doing my survey. i'm glad you like my diary, i added you as a favorite and read your diary too...:) thanks again! Michelle
from torch :
Alex from Big Brother is evil. He really is. On the night he gets evicted I shall be outside the house with a crossbow.
from robertahay :
Believe me- on today of all days I feel your pain :( If it's any consolation I didn't even get to see my team stuffed by an inept referee cos I was scrubbing showers!
from passthemic :
indeed, it was quite a disappointing two days in the history of football. :(
from passthemic :
yeah, and he speaks polish very well too! i didn't know that he had been living in poland for a few years before joining the league. oh, and congratulations on england's win. :*( lol. ~ joanna
from jenne1017 :
thanks for filling out my survey thing-of-a-ma-jug!
from robertahay :
Yeah Jess, I just saw the bad news! Jeez. Oh damn, they can't be just that Zahtovic (was that right?). I think they'll come away with something. They were damn good in euro 2000 anyway!
from jenne1017 :
ok so we lost AGAIN which totally sucks! but thanks for sending the luck...I did get hurt but oh well!
from robertahay :
well, THIS is a true story- when I was but a mere baby (6 months old) my mamma propped me on her knee and cheered Italy to their win. So maybe it's, like, an imprinted thing! I can remember as far back as 1990, but no further than that, which is just as well because between 82 and 90 they were bollocks!
from woweezowee :
A Slovenia fan. I cheered for them at the Euro Cup when Croatia didn't qualify. It was much different watching that while visiting in Europe than watching the World Cup here.
from lorster :
Hey, Sweets! Thanks for the nice g-book entry! Everytime I see anything related to soccer, I think about you. It's nice to know I'm not alone on the whole "strange neighbors" thing. Hope the ear muffs help!
from robertahay :
jings, THANK YOU for drawing my attention to that! WHADDYA MEAN, *IF* THE AZZURI MAKE IT!? They're there already!!!!!!!!!!! Oh I'm so sad... luv from Rob
from narcissa :
i'm kind of worried that you're going to have a heart attack tomorrow when the World Cup starts. I'm surprised that the anticipation hasn't killed you already.
from spacebabe :
Jade is a complete pain in the proverbials!! But she'll be out tomorrow! Won't she??
from robertahay :
Oh JESS! DONT scare me like that...are you SURE it's on the 30th???? Oh, bollocks...but then, it could be a bit of fun if it's Italy in the final after all!
from lifeonhold :
you know, trading spaces is based on a english program. its just fantastic. but being that you exist for big brother and world cup, i doubt you've seen it : ) we are about to start big brother over here, i think in a month. i cannot explain my unhealthy addiction to that program.
from stella056 :
so you like chicken maryland? What is chicken maryland? I'm from maryland. I live in maryland. Is it like, regular chicken, but instead of saying, "put your bathing suit on" it says, "pitcher bane seat owen" in a Maryland ("Merlin") accent? That is, if it talks at all.
from fairyfish :
I never realised you lived in Leytonstone...damn there are too many people from the east on diaryland (I'm a Barkingside Bird myself!) Oh, and Big Brother starts tomorrow...hurrah!!!
from larrielou :
I'm a babe? Oh wow......no one's ever called me that! :-D <-------that's me flattered Hope Big Brother's all that you hope it to be!
from princessa007 :
Thanks for the messages in my guestbook! My fish is still nameless, but I really haven't had much time to think about fish names. ;)
from robertahay :
You have NO idea how relieved I am to know that it was only you checking my diary out (it's a long story!). But, yes, World Cup!!!!! Hurrah!!!! I'm going a bit crazy about it now. Everyone I know is supporting Eire (bitter Scots, you can't beat them) but I've come from a long line of Italy fans. My team is *choke, splutter* Parma, so I tend to keep quiet about that, hargh hargh! I'm not too happy about Italy's group- Mexico Croatia and Ecuador, ack. But, we'll keep our fingers crossed! Well, I will anyway!!!! luv from Rob P.S. Thanks for adding me as a buddy, and I'll check out those books you recommended, I'm stocking up on books for after uni!!!
from robertahay :
YAY! There are football fans on Diaryland! You joined my World Cup ring Thank you!!!! Luv from Rob
from spacebabe :
How exciting - you joined my webring! Ther's no stopping us now that our ring is three members strong - lol!!
from princesse69 :
who's a sleepy boy?
from spacebabe :
Hey - you took my advice about the countdowns!! Yayyy BB & Eurovision!
from wicked-sezzy :
ooooooh, another person from england! i love all you guys, how you call soccer "football" and football "grid iron". highly amusing. ;) But i liked reading your diary. thank you for favoriting me or else i'd have never found you. :) xx--sezzy
from princesse69 :
Hey luv, it's Sharon here. just been reading you. do you really wear PJs? I remember Shakesphere sisters 'Stay'... [email protected]
from spacebabe :
Thanks for the note!! It's nice to get a little pep talk now and again - especially from someone who I think is actually pretty close by! Hey - shouldn't you be doing a countdown to the Eurovision and a countdown to the start of Big Brother 3??
from storyoflo :
I bet Californian slang sounds just as silly to you, don't you think?
from storyoflo :
Oops, I meant "absolute pants", not "total pants". Of course. "total" is totally Californian.
from storyoflo :
Is it wrong for me to giggle at the phrases "that's total pants" and "took the biscuit"? I can't help it. I'm from California.
from amethyst2 :
So hey, I was at the bookstore trying to find a Sarah Kane book but had no luck. Can you give me some titles of what she has written so I may go back to Barnes and Noble and ask the compentent (I'm sure) staff there?
from lorster :
Are you *ever* going to update?? Sheesh... first I find you, then I get addicted to your diary, now you aren't updating. Of all the nerve! ;) You okay?
from hermajesty :
hey i just wanted to say thanks for adding me! and also YAY i get to write the first note!(i'm shallow like that,ha)
