You are right about using vulgar language around kids, although I don't watch my mouth very much around them, and that's not good. Certain things I'm strict about, like graphic sex talk, drug talk and especially racial or ethnic slurs, but I do drop the F bomb all the time. However, doing drugs in front of them is absolutely out of the question. That's just teaching them, as far as I'm concerned, never mind the potential for a contact high. I'd venture to guess that these adults were looking at losing their kids for more than a bag of stems. Your friend is lucky that she has a friend like you that obviously cares about her a great deal. =)

I'm not getting very deeply involved in this, because it's not my business, but I will answer your question to other parents. I won't even let people DRINK in front of my daughter, let alone do drugs of ANY kind. At 2 in the morning, children should be sleeping safely in their beds. Safely being the operative word in that sentence. If I found out someone was doing that around my children, I'd be thrown in jail for attempted murder, because I wouldn't stop beating the shit out of them until someone pulled me off of their lifeless body. The most dangerous place in the world is between a mother and her child.

I've got that Dr. Phil book. It's pretty good. At first, you're like WTF because it's all about you, and how you feel, and what kind of a person you are. Then at the end, it ties it all together with your relationship, and you just sit back like "Wow.... How did he know??" I recommend it. Before you buy it online, though, see if you can get it used on eBay or Amazon.com. It'll save you some money.

I think that it's great that you have a friend that you're so close to. I had friendships like that when I was younger, too, although some of them ended because the girls were backstabbing bitches, one of whom I'm planning on writing an entry on one of these days. no, I dont think you should give into the temptation because it says it doesnt bother him now but who knows downt he line if he would use that against you and It may really bother him, and he jsut doesnt want you know.. Thanks for the shout out! And about your question, it's really a tough one. Jay may be believing what he says, but do you really think if it happens, that he would feel the same? And how would it make you feel about yourself? These are the most important things that you have to think about. It sounds to me like you two are having great sex already, which at your age you are quite lucky for, because when I was sixteen I was with more than one guy, and most were crappy, selfish, one pump chumps. Dawn did have a good point in her comment, though. Try to weather the storm, you'll feel better about yourself for it. In the end, you have to do what's right for you, but that's just my two cents. =)

Hey, I realize my advice won't really help you much, but I figured it was worth saying something. It was precisely the same "get it out of your system" motivation that convinced me to go along with this other guy during a lull in my relationship, but it ended up just making me feel awful. It's true the temptation is gone, but I don't know if it was worth it. I guess you have to decide whether your fella is really strong enough to handle your branching out, but also you need to decide whether you are strong enough to handle branching out, or strong enough to handle dealing with temptation. Either way, it could be a struggle. Best of luck to you, I hope it works out in your favor.
