If you've decided you don't want certain people reading your diary anymore, I'd lock it like I do mine. People who actually read it (like your buddy list on here) will ask for a password & stuff, and that way people around our school that you don't want reading it no longer can... It's kind of a last alternative but it's what I ended up having to do.
