My first journal was a diary I kept of vacations, giving me a day by day account of the fun I had traveling. That was the kid journal.
When I began college, I kept a journal of all day to day activities on the pretense that my memory at the end of the day could always surpass my recollection anytime after that. I wanted a place where I could reference, okay, what was I doing twelve years ago, today, and find out every detail. My entries there grew farther and farther apart and I became disappointed and disheartened as my journal reverted back to an event calender of my life. But, that was my young adult journal.
Now, I am writing this online version as an outright random accounting of events both in my head and in my life. It shall be what I consider to be my Adult Journal Part 1. I don't intend to write daily, so I won't let myself down, but I want a place to record when I have certain rants and ramblings, and quite possibly a pattern will emerge.
All that background being said, welcome to my mind. Occassionally it will reflect my life. The basis for the word "Journal" is the same as the root word for the word, "Journey," so always consider this to be a process, a travel, if you will, but never a destination.
Consider yourself warned, and thanks for dropping by.
