Adam's Site O' Wonder

I'm a Senior attending Austin Peay State University in the bustling metropolis that is Clarksville, Tennessee. (I wish you could hear the sarcasm in that last sentence.) I live a pretty ordinary life on the Cumberland with a daily mix of comics, lengthy periods of gaming, and indie movies like any average college student. The thing that seperates me from that person is that I have a way with words. The other 50% of the time, I enjoy just driving around in my fairly used Mercury Sable and listen to music ranging in years from the eighties to recent day hits like Evanescence, who isn't a goth band or so they say. :D I spend most of the day on the computer. I have a bad habit of surfing for hours on end.

Physically, I'm ok looking. I'm not a Casonova but I do have this pseudo-muscular build which I'm trying to keep in good condition. Character wise. I'm the type of person who would change your tire if you where stuck on the road. I'm a hero like Spidey, although more realistically. What's funny is that I have the samy blonde hair and build as Peter Parker. I get along with almost anybody. I sympathasize with people with have their own issues. Like Dante said it best in Clerks, "I'm not supposed to be here today!" I'm not a fighter but a talker. I would rather run from a sticky situation, than be beaten into submission by trying to butt heads with the brute. (although in video games this situation is reversed). I'm a conversationalist type (if you hadn't noticed) who has no problem talking about the latest news or video game (although I have a terrible time with girls as with most guys my age). That's about all there is to me. Physically, I stand at about 6 foot, sport glasses (for my nearsightedness), and usually spike my hair. My outfit consists of Old Navy apparel or the occassional Hot Topic old school Nintendo gamepad shirt.

In case you are wondering, no I'm not some 14 year old kid. I'm 20 years of age right now and yes I'm still single (although a romantic at heart). I love Sci-Fi because it adds a whole definition to the fantasy that I loved to grow up in (I had few friends until high school) but thanks to talented writers intergalactic battles almost seem to be real. I also love anime (not just for kids) and will watch almost anything except for hentai. My major hobby is Star Wars. I collect almost everything that has Star Wars on it.

I hope I don't sound like a geek. I sound pretty normal to most people. I don't drink (maybe when I reach 21st b-day but not until). I love to play Vampire the Masquerade and Call of Cthulhu. Not all the time like some people I know, but part of the time. My aspiration is to become a journalist or a critic because I love writing. The profession of a critic seems like a natural talent to me since I love reviewing movies and other events. I would like to mention that I like to write more than talk unless I'm tired and talking just seems like the least effort of the two. I'm not very good with comedy unless i think about it for a long time then I can make a good joke. I don't know how it comes natural to some people. Beats me. All Star Wars Movies

comments:  George Lucas is the man. Yoda kicks butt, Jedi's rock and I cry everytime I see Han capture by Boba Fett

All Kevin Smith Movies

comments:  Clerks, Dogma, Chasing Amy, Mallrats, and Jay&Silent Bob Strike Back - All of these movies are funny and have well written scripts that keep me wanting more. Plus he is a Star Wars fan too!

Harry Potter

comments:  I loved Chamber of Secrets and I hope that the series will not lose any of it's spirit.

Lord of the Rings Trilogy

comments:  The new movies add live to Tolkien's classics..plus I'm a fantasy nut.

Rules of Attraction

comments:  This movie dealt with suicide, relationships, and stuff that feels real in a new way. Kudos to the director for experimenting with the movie going backwards at points. Pay close attention to everything or you'll miss an integral part of the movie.

comments:  I have to give props to the first big English writer out there. Romeo & Juliet was sad, The Tempest was full of emotions, and I could go on forever about him. Yes, English majors like to talk about old musty books it's in our job description.

Michael Stackpole

comments:  Best Sci-fi writer out there (well in the Star Wars universe anyways). I haven't read none of his Battletech books yet.

J.K. Rowling

comments:  I haven't had time to read every book in the series, or every line in each book. But Rowling has a way of making the ordinary extraordinary. Wizards come alive in Harry Potter.

Stephen King

comments:  A good horror writer who knows his stuff. He reinvents horror and every other genre with a passion that I admire.
