My favorite movies:

serenity
comments:  "if you can't do something smart, do something right." one of the most fun, imaginitive science fiction movies out there.
real genius
comments:  "welcome to pacific tech's 'smart people on ice!'" how could you not love a teen comedy that features lasers, government conspiracies, and a crazy guy who lives in the main characters' closet? honestly.
pirates of the caribbean
comments:  "you look somewhat familiar. have i threatened you before?" gawd, this movie was entertaining. ships, swordfights, and lots of laughs. what more could i ask for?
lilo and stitch
comments:  "it's little, and broken, but still good. yeah, still good." this movie is hilarious, imaginative, beautifully animated, and in every way adorable. also, it made me cry. "i'm lost!"

comments:  ever after, willow, remember the titans, moulin rouge, memento, mulan, dogma, lord of the rings, chicago, star wars, rent, the princess bride, harry potter, galaxy quest, rainbow brite and the star stealer (etc)

terry pratchett
comments:  "from the back, vetinari looked like a carnivorous flamingo." intelligent, original, and falling-over funny. oh, and addictive. dangerously addictive.

comments:  "he was Vampire. king of the night. the romance novels were just how he paid the rent." oh my, her stuff is fun.

comments:  "lady, i don't have a whole lot of initials after my name. and i don't own a fancy house. but i'm an honest person and i do an honest job." entertaining books that tackle relevant canadian issues.

comments:  "we're in a pseudoscientific technobabble!" are they silly books for smart people? or smart books for silly people? either way, there's no other author in the entire world i admire so much, for so many reasons.
