The Life and Times of Nexus X Humectress

I'm a radical intellectual currently writing a book that will help save the world, when I'm not singing Operation:Mindcrime. I'm recovering from 7 years of living in an egalitarian commune. Now I live alone in Eugene, Oregon, and try to make a living.

My favorite music:

Queensryche
comments:  Operation: Mindcrime turned me on to anarchism and revolution, forever changing my life. One of the very best singers, unique melodies. Somtimes brilliant, always pretentious.
Fishbone
comments:  refreshing!
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum
comments:  weird as fuck!
Mindless Self Indulgence
comments:  so original, so weird, so brilliant, it sings to me like the voice of God
Faith No More
comments:  Along with Mr. Bungle, they expanded my ideas of what music could be.

My favorite movies:

Waking Life
comments:  The most profound movie I've ever seen
Fight Club
comments:  2nd most profound movie, with mind-boggling everything.
Pi
comments:  "I'm looking for a way to understand our world!"
Mindwalk
comments:  Great lay introduction to complexity theory.
Drop Dead Fred
comments:  Everyone hates it. I don't, because aside from the imaginary friend, I lived it.

My favorite authors:

Alexander Berkman
comments:  "I want to tell you about anarchism. I want to tell you what anarchism is, because I think it is well you should know it. Also because so little is known about it, and what is known is generally hearsay and mostly false."
Alan Moore
comments:  V for Vendetta warped me politically every bit as much as Operation: Mindcrime.
Evasion
comments:  The anonymous author of this book relates hilarious parables about how to think way outside the box.
Marshall Rosenberg
comments:  Nonviolent Communication got me out of the anarchist movement and got me deeply interacting with real people in the real world, even more radically.
Daniel Quinn
comments:  Not a great theorist, but he makes a vital, unique contribution to FunSmart.
