A Little About Me . . . GreenSquared!

If you're actually reading this, chances are that you already know me, but I'll tell you a little about myself to refresh your memory. I'm a recent high school grad. . .(Go c/o 2002!!) and I'm majoring in MechEgr. . . I don't have a job at the moment so I spend my time listening to music, playing my guitar, writing, watching a little TV (esp. videos, basketball, old episodes of X-Files, the Simpsons, StarTrek, and CSI), or doing stuff on the comp (I rarely get online though.) Well. . . that's about it. If you want to know more (perish the thought,) try IMing me or leave me a note. Consider yourself lucky if you actually catch me online though.

My favorite diaries:

blustarr    profile - diary
comments:  one cool chica. .. not only b/c she told me about the site but b/c she's a loser without a life. . . j/k :0)
m-e-l-i    profile - diary
comments:  Meli's a good friend of mine who we'll be seeing in the movies one day. . .

My favorite music:

George Benson
comments:  Yeah. . I know that I'm supposed to put band names here but I like his music a whole lot better than most bands anyway.
Ella Fitzgerald
comments:  Who doesn't love the "Queen of Swing"?
Janet Jackson
comments:  She's been out for quite some time and I still love her music. The Velvet Rope CD is my fave.
Rachelle Ferrell
comments:  This lady eats, sleeps, and breathes soul. . . I can hear it from the look in her eyes.
Diana Krall
comments:  I don't see how someone couldn't like her voice. . .

My favorite movies:

The Green Mile
comments:  All of these movies pretty much speak for themselves.
Fight Club
comments:  I've seen this movie so many times and I catch something new everytime!
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
comments:  A disney classic with a popular real world message
We Were Soldiers
comments:  Recent war movie based on real themes in the war. . . It's not covered up with a love story or individual fight for freedom. . . although both did play a key role, our main mission was to fight together as one
The Shining
comments:  Mellow. . . yet dramatic. . . I love it!

My favorite authors:

Maya Angelou
comments:  (like you couldn't have guessed that) anyway. . . I just love her writing style.
Robert Frost
comments:  If you've read "Mending Wall" (which is one of my faves) you can understand why.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
comments:  I just like the stuff he writes about. . . it makes a lot of sense to me.
Allen Ginsberg
comments:  The beatnik himself. . . his works are raw and cunning. . . he doesn't nee dto spice them up with flowery thoughts
Fyodor Dostoevsky
comments:  The great Russian author who wrote "Crime and Punishment". . . anyone who can get that deep into a criminal's mind deserves to be idolized (even though the book was a little long)
