Meffin' Around

In all the (many) computer games I've played, a mephit is kind of like an imp, only with fewer morals.

It's not in the dictionary. But, then, neither am I.

It's in the Thesaurus, though. 'Mephitically' is capable of killing by poison. It also means of a fetid odour.

I may have a tongue as venomous as an adder’s but I do not smell.
