:: The Scandalous Life of Mary Shaw ::

A little peak into the world through my eyes. Come with an open heart, soul and mind as you enter MY heart, soul and mind. Life is all about learning, laughing, and loving.

My favorite diaries:

My favorite music:

Emm Gryner
comments:  My favourites: Acid, Death is a New Day, Christopher, Lonestar, Julia, Stardeep, Beautiful Things, Pour Some Sugar On Me, Breathless, etc.
Silverchair
comments:  My favourites: Ana's Song (Open Fire), Miss You Love, Across the Night, After All These Years, One Way Mule, etc.
Christina Aguilera
comments:  She has the pipes to sing her ass off! My favourites: The Voice Within, Impossible, At Last (a live cover of Etta James version), I Turn to You, Fighter, Impossible, etc.
Scarling
comments:  They're hypnotically dark. My favourites: Beautiful, Band-Aid Covers the Bullet Hole, Black Horse Riding Star
The Sounds
comments:  They have raw vocals with catchy beats and lyrics...I love all their songs from albums "Living in America" and "Dying to Say This to You."

My favorite movies:

The Wizard of Oz
comments:  Childhood memories and an amazing story to fire up the imagination, great songs, great actors/actresses, great movie sets, great author (L. Frank Baum - who wrote an incredible Oz series of 14 books)
Awakenings
comments:  Based on a true story. It will touch your heart and make you cry.
What Dreams May Come
comments:  Philosophical and dramatic, this movie is provocative and touching.
The Neverending Story
comments:  This movie lets you fly into the imagination and on its wings, you will never read another story the same way again. I loved Part 1, but parts 2 and 3 were horrible!
Joan of Arc
comments:  I love the version with Lee Lee Sobeski and Peter O'Toole, although I generally enjoy the story because it was based on real events.

My favorite authors:

Mary Shelley
comments:  Frankenstein (Original 1818 Text) - This is my ultimate favourite book ever! Each sentence is masterfully crafted and it is visual music for your eyes and thought-provoking for your inner critic/intellectual.
Daniel Keyes
comments:  Flowers For Algernon - heartfelt, tragic, memorable
Dan Brown
comments:  I enjoyed reading The Da Vinci Code more so than Angels & Demons because the former had more intriguing puzzles and philosophy.
C.S. Lewis
comments:  The Entire Chronicles of Narnia
Susan Jane Gilman
comments:  Her style of writing is very easy to read and chock full of laugh-out-loud humour. Her writing sheds light on women and their struggle to be self-empowering. I look forward to this contemporary, feminist author's future books.
