Willow/Machine of God

The unappreciated artist, the unheralded scholar, the forlorn writer, these are just a taste of the facets of my personality that you'll encounter when reading my musings. Knowledge of who I am, however, comes not without a price. Behold the Machine...

My favorite diaries:

swing_betty profile - diary
comments: Sugar, spice, and everything nice? Perhaps you haven't met Swing Betty.
slackerqueen profile - diary
comments: The Queen of Slackdom rules with an apathetic sceptor.
adrianharley profile - diary
comments: Drama, excitement, suspense... Adrian Harley delivers it all.
dark-ewok profile - diary
comments: I think the name says it all.
lemonadelucy profile - diary
comments: Inner Monologues and Outer Philosophy, Lemonade Lucy gives her 2 cents on living as a gal in today's realm.
nyteshade862 profile - diary
comments: And you thought 'you' had demons?
jillysp profile - diary
comments: Mi amigo who also "Adores" the Pumpkins (get it, adores, I kill me).

My favorite music:

Smashing Pumpkins
comments: Quite simply the greatest band, ever. Emotional liberation, lyrical domination, and musical violation have etched this band's place in my heart, mind, and soul.
Marilyn Manson
comments: I don't care what anyone says about his "shock rock" philosophy, or whether or not the band "sold out". Facts are facts, the band rules, the music rules, and the live performances rule.
Sarah McLachlan
comments: Nevermind the fact that she's totally hot, her music inspires feeling, and reflects a warm sincerity. We should all be more like that.
Foo Fighters
comments: We mustn't forget the funky freshness of the Foo. While most rock these days has leaned towards the hardcore scene, the Foo Fighters still give pleasant memories of what alternative music was supposed to be all about.
Various
comments: So I'm cheating, here's more that I adore: Gin Blossoms, Nine Inch Nails, No Doubt, Nina Gordon, Cheap Trick, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Styx, Tom Petty, Tori Amos, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and many more.

My favorite movies:

Star Wars Trilogy
comments: Yes, I'm a sucker for a story about destiny and purpose, with undertones of romance and liberation.
Anything with Johnny Depp
comments: Simply a brilliant performer.
Halloween
comments: Classic horror at it's finest, actual artistry instead of gratuitous gore.
The Exorcist
comments: Powerful, frightening, and unfathomable.
The Jersey Movies (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back)
comments: Kevin Smith is a cinematic genius, and his cast ensembles never disappoint. Jason Lee is the next big name in Hollywood acting.

My favorite authors:

Stephen King
comments: It may be trite and cliche to like him, but let's face it, he knows how to write the human condition.
William Shakespeare
comments: MacBeth... Hamlet... enough said.

update April 6, 2020: Sorry, we just had 8+ hours downtime due to a server problem. Restoring from backups took soooo long, but everything is back and no data was lost. Ay yay yay! Anyhow, hope everyone is well with the virus stuff.
