Fancy profile

The basics:

1. I'm over 30 (I seem to be a diaryland minority, but I could be wrong).

2. I hate my job.

3. I had weight-loss surgery (WLS) in Oct 2003. Carnie Wilson-style (except, not laprascopically)

4. I'm not a team player.

My favorite music:

They Might Be Giants
comments:  well, duh. I only worship them. Right now I'm trying to come up with a clever TMBG tattoo design.
The Pursuit of Happiness
comments:  Canadian band. Not that that explains anything, but another band with a good sense of humor.
Corky & the Juice Pigs
comments:  Not around anymore, sadly, but I have to love a band that writes about being the only gay eskimo.
Pink Floyd
comments:  Didn't discover this until after I met my husband. I don't think I need to explain why I like them, other than...there's more to their history than you'd think.
Mono Puff
comments:  couldn't think of a 5th band worthy of this list, so i'm being recursive and listing a TMBG project band.

My favorite movies:

Time Bandits
comments:  Movies have to be around a while before I'll call them "favorites". Time Bandits is still awesome.
Office Space
comments:  This movie illustrates my life so accurately, I actually find it sad sometimes.
A Clockwork Orange
comments:  Somehow I always manage to forget about the parts that make me want to curl up in the fetal position and suck my thumb.
The Fifth Element
comments:  "Multipass." My husband is in love with Leeloo, and if I were a lesbian, I would be too. As a hetero gal, I can only bring myself to envy her.
The Ref
comments:  Well, now I'm out of room. The Ref, Ferris Bueller, Hunt for Red October, Blues Brothers, Zoolander, A Beautiful Life, Better Off Dead

My favorite authors:

Lori Foster
comments:  I really don't read as much as I should. I mean, I read stuff on the internet everyday. But books? Meh. Lori is my best friend's sister, and she writes for Harlequin (blaze series)
Douglas Adams
comments:  Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Dr Seuss
comments:  what? he was a genius and i cried when he passed away.
