I Might Be Lost, But I Might Finally Be Free

"I will walk down the street. I will hold my head high. I will say hello to everyone I meet. I will have love in my heart. When I have hate, I will turn my hate into energy. When I am negative, I will be negative only for as long as I need to be until I understand it, and then I will be positive. I will not be complacient. And I will not be a racist. And I will not be a sexist. And I will not be a homophobic. And I will love. And I will be happy that I am alive." ~Indigo Girls

Hi! Uh, welcome. This is the profile page, read my journal. E-mail me. (I love getting e-mails. And I don't mind some shameless self plugging.) ;) Hi!

My favorite diaries:

comments:  Go check out my pal, Riley. He's a crazy cool (to use one of his phrases) kid who has a lot to say. Plus, you know, he's a several times produced playwrite so, you know his writing's GOT to be good.

Life Is Beautiful
comments:  Even if you don't like foreign films, see it.
Dogma
comments:  "I think one of us needs a little nap." GREAT movie about religion, especially Catholic. You have to have a good sense of humor to appricate it though.

My favorite authors:

Pearl Cleage
comments:  Read "What Looks Like Crazy on an Ordinary Day" and "I Wish I Had a Red Dress". Beautiful books.
Jack Kerouac
comments:  I like the Beats, especially Kerouac and Ginsburg. Read "America" by Allen Ginsburg and "On the Road" by Jack Kerouac.
Paul Monette
comments:  "Borrowed Time; An AIDS Memoir" should be required reading for human beings.
Madeleine L'Engle
comments:  She wrote the Austin books, and the "Wrinkle in Time" series. Very classic books.
Jeanette Winterson
comments:  Stunning mixture of poetry and prose. She doesn't write in poetic form, but some of her writing out loud is very poetic.
