Time for a change...

Welcome to "Compartment 14B", the journal formerly known as "Talpidae".

I've come to realize that I compartmentalize my "real life" and different aspects of my online persona. This journal is a personal journal, intended to document my life and thoughts for myself and my kids, and maybe "posterity" if it ever goes that far. It also is intended to reach out to others that maybe have gone through, or are going through, similar experiences. I have different spaces for other aspects of my life, both practical and creative. Maybe some day they'll all move in together and create a home.

Family: I have a husband, J. We have a daughter, Grommet, born Jan 2006 and are expecting a son, Biscuit, who we expect to enter our lives by early June of this year. We live in Ottawa, Canada
