Well fuck me, but I don't think healing is from the inside if this is what I have to work with.(This diary is where I post my poetry. And then some.)
Her thoughts spilled into the paper cup,
Salty, strangely melding into coffee tears
Like the tides of her life, rising in time
To heartbeat rippling through doorways,
Coming in through the bathroom window,
Settling into a room without a door.
And she takes it out on the cup,
Now a crumpled mess in her hand
Moonlight daring to touch human skin,
She's holding on because she knows
Maybe, it's raining somewhere out there,
And she wasn't caught in it, she wasn't
Caught lurking in the shadows, Grappling
With herself, gnawing at her veins, ripping,
Tearing at her heart, she wants to stop thinking,
And she says, won't you dance with me, naked,
To music from the inside?
