My Dog Trained Me To Sit-Stay

When we adopted a German Sheperd Dog-Mix on April Fool's Day, 2003, I didn't expect it would change my life, nor did I expect that it would clarify me to myself. I didn't expect that and I didn't ask for that, but besides lots of dog hair, dog caca and dog toys, my psyche is also lying around where it wasn't before. Her name is Sierra but my husband calls her Sea Dog and I call her Pookie and the Siamese cat Jack calls the whole thing bull shit. I'd tell you what city we live in, but it doesn't matter. The main thing is that Sierra is the center of our home now and she is teaching me more about myself than I ever wanted to learn. My intention was to train her into an efficient dog-machine that would obey my every comand. I wanted a dog with a strong personality, smart and responsive. I got it and it goes to show, be careful what you wish for! These are our stories, Sierra's and mine, of self-discovery while dog training.

update April 6, 2020: Sorry, we just had 8+ hours downtime due to a server problem. Restoring from backups took soooo long, but everything is back and no data was lost. Ay yay yay! Anyhow, hope everyone is well with the virus stuff.
